Chapter Three
**Twenty Years Later**
Drumming his fingers against the steering wheel of his black jaguar XF, the ash blonde male waited patiently for the stop light to change color so that he could go. His morning routine having to change since he was forced to drive his little sister to school while their parents were on vacation. 'So, are you excited to go back to school and meet your little friends?'
'Are you excited to go to work and meet your little co-works,' she asked back as she lift bright red hues to meet his over the rearview mirror.
'Brat, I was trying to be nice. If you were nervous, I would have said some encouraging and uplifting words,' he stated in annoyance. For a six-year-old she had a smart-ass mouth that rubbed on his nerves sometimes. He didn't think that they were going to survive the two weeks that they had to spend together.
'Ack,' she made a gaging sound as she made a disgusted face that transformed her pleasantly cute face. 'Don't, it's scarier when you try to be nice. Which is no wonder why you don't have a girlfriend.'
The loose grip that he had on the steering wheel suddenly tightened at those bitter words that reminded him of a conversation that he had with his parents not too long ago when he was visiting them. 'Katsuki, don't you think that it's about time that you settle down,' his mother started as they sat around the living room having coffee.
Katsuki had almost choked on the sip that he had taken when she said those words. 'Your mother is right,' his dotting father commented as he sat near his mother serving and pampering her as if she were a queen. Well, in a way she was considering that she was the leader of their pride a rear occurrence considering there were very few female were-lioness alphas.
'I haven't got the time with my career,' he bluffed it's true that sometimes as a lawyer he would have to work overtimes hours, but it wasn't as often that it would prevent him from having a social life.
'Humph, knowing you,' his mother studied him, 'you don't want to make time.'
'Or could it be,' his father began but fell silent when he saw the glare that his son was giving him as if daring him to finish his statement and face the consequences. 'If it is, me and your mother wouldn't be against it.'
'You father is right, although I would like grandchildren,' his mother off handily pointed out her request. 'Unless you would want me to look within our pride for someone that is suitable for you?'
'No,' Katsuki quickly stated. 'I still wish to pick my own mate.'
His mother scoffed knowing why he kept delaying his decision to settle down with someone, 'You think that your true mate is out there,' she rolled her right hand around signifying the city.
'You found yours, didn't you,' he shot back as he looked over at his father as if to make his point. It still amazed him that his father was his mother's actual mate and not a poor fool that got tricked into marrying her. They were both opposites and it always seemed that his father was serving his mother and not an equal partner.
'Because I got lucky, but you are searching for something that is almost impossible,' his mother stated.
Katsuki gritted his teeth as he clutched his jaw shut tight, his mother had a point finding a true mate wasn't easy and if he did find her there was also the possibility of getting rejected or her already being with someone. True mates were even rarer for alphas, so his mother had in fact been very lucky to find his father. Nevertheless, he still held out hope that he would be able to find her again. 'There are a lot of suitable females within our pride,' his father stated, 'many young and appealing as well as capable of making you happy if you let them.'
'Your father is right. Your partner doesn't have to be your true mate for you to be happy together. You just need to be willing to accept them and be happy,' his mother supported. 'Plus, as the next to take over you need to not only show stability with your career but also family.'
'It is important for the pride to see your family value, because the way you provide, protect and love your family will reflect your love and value of the pride.'
'In addition, it could also help soften your image and make you more approachable,' his mother added.
'Humph, if they don't want to approach me to get to know me that is their choice. I don't need a family to help soften my appearance,' Katsuki muttered trying to keep himself from bursting out in anger.
'You're not getting any younger, you're twenty-seven and finding a mate to settle down with that is within your age range is harder,' his mother pointed out.
'Humph, I feel like this is more about you two not being any younger,' Katsuki grumbled and then it hit him. They didn't want him to just find a mate because of how it will appear to others, but what they got out of it. 'For freaks sake, you two do realize that you have a small child that you can already spoil and traumatize. You don't need my children.'
He could see the vein on his mother's temple beginning to enlarge in her annoyance, 'Listen here, you brat, our child is different from your own and wanting grandchildren is very normal.'
'Please, you'll just spoil them like Mya and then I'll have to go home and deal with them,' Katsuki rebuked.
His mother got up, 'Listen here, as your mother and alpha I command you to find a mate and give me grandchildren.'
Katsuki jumped up from his seat, 'You can't command me to go and procreate if I don't want too. What kind of world do you think that we live in?'
His mother glared at him, but he didn't look away. Sure, she was an alpha and intimidating, but he was one also and he wasn't afraid to match her. 'One where you love your parents and are willing to fulfill their wishes.'
'Be happy with Mya,' he told her.
'Now, now,' his father wrapped his arms around his wife's waist in a loose embrace that was prepared to hold her back from physically lashing out at their son, seeing as she already had her right foot on the coffee table, ready to pounce on him. 'This is just a normal conversation, nothing to get too tense about and hurt each other.'
'You were too soft on your son when he was little,' she snapped in annoyance at her husband. 'Look at how he treats me, his mother.'
'Humph, I only treat you how it is fitting,' Katsuki told her.
'I am going to beat you,' his mother tried to jump over the table, but his father held her back.
It had been annoying that the conversation had gone there and now his sister was insinuating that due to his attitude and appearance he couldn't get a partner. 'Hmph, one look at you guys and she'll go running,' Katsuki shot back at her.
'Right, because she'll be dating us and not you,' Mya rolled her eyes and was happy to see that they were pulling up to the school.
Katsuki wanted to throttle his smart aleck little sister, 'I pray for your future,' he muttered as he pulled the car a block away so that he could park and walk her to the entrance.
'You don't have to walk me in,' she said as she watched him, but made no move to get out.
'I'll at least be nice for the first day, that way you won't start crying because you're scared,' Katsuki smirked as he looked back at her before turning off the car, getting his keys and getting out to go and open the door for her.
'I won't cry,' she told him, grabbing her pink unicorn backpack and sliding out of the car once he opened the door.
'Weren't you the one that was crying last night that mom and dad weren't here to take you to school today,' he closed the door behind her and took her small hand in his before they began walking towards the school.
'I only cried because I was stuck with you,' she retorted, but walked closer to him as they neared to door to the school.
Katsuki noticed the shift and looked down at her, 'I am sure you'll make new friends and have fun on your first day. You're like in pre-school so all you guys do is stare at each other and take naps anyways.'
'I am in first grade,' she kicked his shin.
'Right, you're not four anymore,' he winced at the throbbing pain from her kick. 'You just act like a toddler,' he dodged her next kick.
'I can't wait till mom and dad get back,' she told him.
'Me too, brat,' he let go of her hand and ruffled her ash blonde locks to her annoyance.
'Hey, don't mess up my hair,' she slapped his hand away.
'Well, here we are,' he stated as they came to a halt in front of the school building, and they watched as parents walked their kids to the door to say goodbye. 'Where's your teacher,' he asked as he looked down at her and saw her eyes grow into hue saucers.
'We can come back tomorrow,' she said as she took his hand once again. 'Or we can wait until mom and dad get back.'
'No,' Katsuki shook his head, but looked down at his little sister with soft red hues. 'If you can't go in now, you won't want to go in later and didn't you already meet your teacher? Didn't you say that she was nice and pretty and that you were excited that she was your teacher?'
'Yeah,' she grumbled.
'Well, you have nothing to worry about. If no one likes you at least she will,' he teased.
'You're not good at pep talks,' she snapped.
'Maybe, but wouldn't you like to prove me wrong,' he challenged.
'I don't need too,' she boldly took a step away from him, 'because you are always wrong anyways.'
He watched as a silver haired female popped out of the front door and greeted Mya, who walked up to her and said, 'Hi, Ms. Todoroki.'
'Hello, Mya are you excited for today?'
'Yes,' she nodded as she took the short woman's hand.
'I am glad,' she beamed and then looked up at the tall male that stood a way away watching them. 'Hello, I am Ms. Todoroki, Mya's teacher,' she greeted him.
'Katsuki,' he nodded, 'her brother. I'll be here to drop her off and pick her up for the next two weeks.'
'Ah, yes, your parents informed me that you would be here to pick her up. It is nice to put a face with the name,' she smiled at him.
'Hm,' he nodded as he briefly glanced her over and turned to looked down at his sister. 'Be good, don't get into any trouble and play nice with your friends,' he told her.
'I will,' she nodded her head and smiled at him. 'You have a good day at work today, big brother.'
Katsuki could feel the corner of his right lip begin to twitch as she looked up at him with a sweet and innocent looking smile. If only her teacher knew what a troublemaker she was and how sassy her remarks usually were. 'I'll be off, if you'll excuse me,' he took off after her teacher nodded and ushered Mya inside to where the other children were standing in a line waiting for the rest of their peers before all going back to the classroom.
He walked back to his car, not in a rush to get going to working knowing that he had three cases to look over before the appointments with his clients. He sighed at the thought that for the next two weeks he would have to get up early to drive his sister to school and himself back to the city after dropping her off. He wasn't paying attention to the people that walked by him, but occasionally he caught a scent that threw him off. Some people liked to go heavy on the colognes or perfumes and their artificial scents knocked him overboard and he would have to keep from crinkling his nose in disgust. Since his nose was down wind to the school, he didn't catch the scent of the pair that was walking towards him until they walked by him, and he smelled the scent of a young canine were and the most refreshing and arousing scent ever. It was the scent of fresh spring flowers, crisp mouthwatering apples with a hint of white musk and the woman's natural musk. He could feel the rush of blood being sent to his heart as it began to pound with excitement and make him lightheaded at the realization that there she was. He slowly turned to look at the retreating forms of the child and woman, whose voice was soft, pleasant and tender as she talked to the young were beside her. He couldn't see her face, but from what he was able to study, she had a nice body with long tone legs that were being hugged by form fitted leggings. An ass that was nicely shaped and ample, with hips that were wide and childbearing. Her waist had to be small and her stomach flat, but with her oversized white hoodie it was hard to make the details of her upper half of the body. Her hair was a silky curtain of midnight black that she had tied in a bun. Instincts were telling him to go and approach her, but rationally was telling him to back off and wait and not jump on his impulses.
As he was about to take a step forward, he heard a soft and warning growl. His eyes snapped down to the little boy that was looking at him in challenge, daring him to try and talk to the woman beside him. It didn't take science to tell him that the little boy with red locks, freckles and green forest hues wasn't hers. His nose was enough to depict the fact that the little were was a full pup and not half human. Nevertheless, her scent and his were all over each other signifying that there was a bond between them.
88888888
'Kai, what's the matter,' the woman next to the little boy asked as she turned her head down to look at him as he stared back behind them.
'He's a were,' Kai stated as he nodded back to the man that had turned away from them and began to walk away slowly.
'Oh,' she turned back to look at the man Kai had been glaring at and only noticed his tailored dark blue suit, which hugged and outlined his perfect muscular physique as well as contrasted against his light blonde hair. 'What kind,' she asked.
'Feline,' he answered.
'I see,' she mumbled in disappointment. She didn't know much about weres, but she did know that unless properly trained felines and canines did not get along in general. However, Kai was a sweetheart and before she was entrusted with the responsibility of look after him, his parents had taught him to get along with all sorts of weres. 'Kai, do you think that you'll be okay with getting along with the feline were,' she asked. Yet she hoped that they never crossed paths within the school.
'Yes,' he mumbled, but didn't agree to getting along with the male behind them. He had seen the way that he looked at Eva. It was the same look his grandmother got when her boyfriend came over for a meal. Eva was like his mom, and he didn't approve of the male that had been looking at her as if she was going to be his next meal.
'Good,' she said as she ran a hand through his red soft curly locks. 'Are you nervous about school?'
'Hm,' he nodded his head.
'You are,' she questioned as she looked at him and didn't see an ounce of nervousness.
'Yup, but I am also excited,' he clarified.
That she could see, as they got closer to the school, he bounced a little more and the smile on his face grew wider. Since they moved back to her hometown about two weeks ago, all they had been doing was settling down and getting things ready around the house. She hadn't even been able to take him to meet the Midoriyas, who would be taking out Kai to the manor for the full moon along with their pups. She had been introduced to the couple once and by chance, both Izuku and his wife, Ochaco, were nice people that she got along with and could see Kai liking. They had three children all around Kai's age, she had seen pictures of the children but had yet to meet them in person. 'Are you nervous,' he turned his head to look up at her.
'Of course, I am,' after uprooting the poor boy's life, whisking him away from the city and spending the whole summer with him it was going to be lonely. 'My darling munchkin is going to leave me and make new friends as well as find a girlfriend and forget about me.'
'I am not,' he squeezed her hand as they came to a stop in front of the school main entrance. 'You're my mom.'
Oh, she felt giddy at being called mom and it had her heart fluttering in happiness. She squatted to his eye level and pulled him into a tight hug, 'I am so happy,' she said as she kissed his face all over.
'Mom,' he cried in embarrassment as he tried to pull away and looked around bewildered at the fact that people were looking at them.
'I hope that you have a wonderful day at school and that you make lots of new friends,' she squeezed him close.
'I will,' he gave up trying to push her away. After all he always enjoyed being loved and cared for by Eva.
There was a soft giggle from the left and both Eva and Kai turned to see who had released the sound. 'Hello, I am Ms. Todoroki, and you must be Kai,' he was the last of the children to arrive.
Kai nodded and Eva slowly let him go so that she could get up and greet his teacher properly, 'Hello, I am Eva, Kai's mother.'
'Yes, I remember,' the woman with silver hair and red highlights beamed at them. Her gray hues shining in delight and admiration of the pair's closeness.
'Which means this is where I say goodbye,' she asked Ms. Todoroki but looked down at Kai who was already looking around his teacher at the other small children who stood inside waiting.
'I am afraid so, but don't worry I am sure that Kai is going to enjoy getting to meet his classmates and have fun on his first day of school,' she tried to ease the young woman's worries.
'I know,' who couldn't love her young pup, after all the first time she meet him and his family she had been smitten by him. At the memory of his parents, she felt her stomach drop and the smile of her face lessen. 'Kai, I am going to go now,' she told him as she turned to look down at him. I hope that you have fun today.'
'Hm, you have fun today too,' he turned his head up to her and grinned.
'It won't be as much fun without you,' she leaned towards him and kissed his forehead.
'I know,' he told her, his smile getting bigger as he stepped away from her and towards the school, 'but you'll be okay.'
The teacher giggled once again at their interaction, it was usually the parent or guardian that tried to ease the child. Not the other way around. 'Don't worry, I will take good care of him.'
'Hm,' Eva nodded and waved goodbye as she watched them head inside. With a sigh she turned away, grabbed her beats from her pocket, put them on, hit play on her phone and took off for her morning jog. Thinking about work and all the work that she needed to get finished before she could open it up for business. It was so much work having to get the office set up and interviewing people for the assistant position. As of yet, she still hadn't found the ideal person to take over the job. On top of that she needed to finish getting the house ready for when her Aunt and Mother arrived.
Her mother, a huge shock and reveal fifteen years ago that she was still alive. Well, not alive but around, considering that she was no longer human like her and her Aunt, but a supernatural being that would forever remain ageless and stunning. The first time that she had seen her lurking in the shadows and watching her from afar she had thought that she was going mad. To a twelve-year-old that had seen her mother get murdered right in front of her had been traumatizing. It had taken her about two years to get over the nightmare and the fear that the young man from that night was going to return and take her. Fast forward three years and seeing her mother's face, the memories of that night even though a little blurry and hazel came back to her, and she had felt the fear and terror creep back in. However, when her mother finally revealed herself and swore that she wasn't a haunting the fear had subsided for a moment. A moment, because she soon revealed that she was just like him. That night when she had died her body had changed and she had comeback three days later. The first thing that she had wanted to do was search for her daughter to ensure that she was okay, but the bloodlust and lack of control had kept her away. She feared that the monster that she had become would hurt her own daughter and end up doing something that she would regret.
Therefore, for five years she waited, trained and gained control of her nature so as not to attack and kill for blood. Which had her questioning if she ever did and to Eva's relief it had just been large animals. She hadn't tasted human blood until she had purchased some from a vampire blood bank, which tasted better than animal blood and was so easily available. Thus, when she returned, she was civilized, no longer a monster. At least that was what she thought. Her mother had come within reach of her and as soon as she smelled her scent, she had begun to back away. Her light amber eyes had gotten wide, pupils dilated and nose flaring, she had called out to her and tried to step forward when she yelled at her to stay back. Her face had transformed losing its roundness and softness, becoming hard and angular as she bit down on her lower lip. With the shocking surprise and horror on both her and her Aunt's face, she could only imagine why she left.
Eva turned left on her jog and was coming into a more familiar neighborhood. One she hadn't seen since her childhood. She continued her jog, knowing where her legs were leading her too. A block and a half in, she came to a stop and looked up at the house that had been a nightmare to her and also a sanctuary, since it also had good memories of a time when her parents were still together, and her mother was still human. Her mother, it had taken an extra year for her to manage her cravings, apparently there was something in her scent that made vampires go into overdrive and bloodlust. As she got older, the scent became stronger and more desirable, so her mother told her. After being with her for fourteen years, she had learned to manage her craving and not attack her.
The one time that she did, because she hadn't been able to feed and keep herself under control, she had almost gotten her wish. If it hadn't been for Kai's father, her mother would have done something that she would regret for the rest of her life. For a vampire that's a long time. It was also the first time that she became aware that there were more than just vampires out in the world. Maximilian, Max for short, had been out patrolling the streets when he came across them and saved her but almost killed her mother in the attempt. He had been a beat cop, newly integrated into the police force and she had just been eighteen and looking for her mother which had been captured by fanatics to drain and consume her blood.
At eighteen, her heart had been easily swayed. Max had been a handsome and perfect specimen, only fault was that he had already found his true mate and an eighteen-year-old to a man of twenty-five was still a child. Nevertheless, she couldn't blame him for never looking twice at her or considering her like a little sister because is mate, Bella, was a beautiful creation. She had had long blonde unruly curly hair, which she always wore down. Her eyes had been jewels that shown brightly and were a light shade of blue that looked like the clear blue sky. She had been tall and physically fit, so she had all the curves in all the right places as well as being well endowed. So yeah, compared to Bella, her scrawny and not as generous apples weren't even in the competition for the young man's attention.
Eva turned away from her old home and continued her run, now that even more unpleasant and fresher memories were threatening to surface, and she couldn't deal with them. Not when she had other things to deal with and set up before the arrival of her mother and Aunt. By the time she got home, it had been an hour since she left Kai at school. The morning fresh breeze had slowly started to raise, causing her to perspire more and feel like her clothes were a second layer that was glued on to her. Once inside the two-story house with basement, that had been refurnished into a completely sealed and blacked out apartment for her mother with separate entrance. She took off her headphones, grabbed her phone and checked to see if she had gotten any messages. She had a couple more interviews around noon, she also had to meet with the people who were delivering the items for the office. She should have listened to her Aunt and hired a decorator to take care of fixing the place up. It would have been already open for business by now, but no she had to do it all herself.
She set her phone, keys and headphone down by the small table by the stairs in front of the foyer. To the right of the entrance was the rather cozy and welcoming living room, to the left a dining room with the bare essentials, behind the living room was the kitchen area which had a connected small area to the left for the laundry and half bathroom with a door leading to the backyard. To the right of the kitchen was a family room that was more like a giant library with comfortable couch a desk by one of the huge open bay windows. Her Aunt, the writer, would love the area especially the view of the backyard which she was sure her mother would get underway to fixing and catering to her delight.
Eva headed up the stairs to the second floor and groaned in annoyance as she saw the boxes on the top landing. She still had her room and Kai's room to get finished as well as setting up the major furniture in her Aunt's room. She should have just hired people, too bad most of her money was tied up in starting her business up again, the house and food. Boy, could an active little boy eat, and she couldn't image how much more she'd spend on food when he got older. She remembered Kai's father was a heavy eater yet was still able to maintain his physique and good looks. Bella had been an eater too, so maybe because they were so physically active and weres they were able to eat so much without gaining weight. She took her hoodie off as she walked into her room and threw it into the laundry basket, grabbed a towel and went to the washroom to go and get ready for her long and tiresome day.

Eijiro watched as his best friend and co-worker stared out the of window with a vacant look on his face. It had been like that all day when he wasn't preoccupied with a case or having to deal with their boss. They both worked as lawyers for the same law firm, but they majored in two different areas. Katsuki enjoyed business law, while he had a more general background and took on more family related cases for example divorce and child custody battles. 'So,' Eijiro tapped on Katsuki's desk trying to get his attention, 'want's going on? You've been spacey all day. Did something happen at home? You and your little sister didn't get into a fight, did you?'
The latter was a common occurrence but fighting with a six-year-old wasn't really mind consuming. Katsuki turned his blank stare from the window to Eijiro, 'Nothing,' he didn't want to let him know about the woman he hadn't yet met or gotten a glimpse of her face. Right now, she was a taunting tease of a fight with a honey crisp scent, alongside light floral tones and her own womanly musk. Just thinking about the faceless woman with dark hair had his blood pumping and desire to get back to the elementary school, so he could catch her scent and see her face.
'I am losing you again,' Eijiro had noticed the far off look on his face again and how he stared at the clock in annoyance.
There was still an hour before he needed to leave to go and pick up his wonderful little sister. 'I am just thinking what's for dinner, since the brat is picky about what she eats.'
'That's not hard, my sons eat plenty of meat dishes so anything with beef will be good. Chicken too,' Eijiro offered.
'Mother said not to feed her too much protein and give her more vegetables,' he pointed out. As were's their diets generally contained high amounts of protein, but his mother had always tried to balance out their diets with vegetables in support of their father who was vegan. How the man survived on plant-based protein was an amazement to them, considering how much they needed and craved as a were.
Eijiro made a face, matching the faces his sons made with faced with broccoli, cauliflower, or any type of squash their mother tried to feed them. Yet the dinner menu wasn't what was on his friend's mind, 'You keep looking at the clock. Are you meeting someone?' He noticed the slight twitch of Katsuki's right hand.
'My sister,' he answered after a pause.
'Hmm,' Eijiro slight frown began to curve up into a sly smile as he realized what could be distracting his usually reserved and focused friend. 'You like her teacher, don't you? I remember when you brought her over to play with the twins, she had been telling them all about how pretty and nice she looked. So, is she attractive?'
Katsuki brow crinkled as he tried to picture the woman from earlier, she had been petite, her hair white or silver with red highlights, she wore glasses maybe and she seemed nice. She had a pleasant voice that little children would be fond of light, sweet and airy. 'I guess.'
He guessed or he wasn't telling him or, 'So one else,' there was the twitch again, so it wasn't the teacher. Eijiro wasn't one for gossip, yet this was a new development for his friend. Katsuki just focused on his work and life goals; life goals didn't involve a partner just a one-time fling to get all his pent-up frustration out of the way. Nevertheless, he was getting older, so his parents were starting to pressure him into find someone which he was against. As the future leader of his pride that was unacceptable, considering he would have to produce an heir. 'What's she like?'
'What is who like,' Katsuki asked.
'I am your best friend, you could at least tell me about the woman that you're interested in,' Eijiro told him.
'Who says that I am interested in a woman?'
'It's a guy,' Eijiro didn't see that one coming. His family would be disappointed in the fact that he wouldn't be able to conceive a child, otherwise his pride was open minded.
'No, I am not interested in anyone. Can't I just be worried about my little sister?'
'I mean, sure you can. Except you two are usually at each other's throat,' he pointed out.
'It is so that she builds character.'
'Your sister doesn't need to build character. She has plenty of it already.'
That was what worried Katsuki, especially now that he had found his potential mate and she had a pup around the same again as Mya. If she insulted or did anything to hurt the pup, it would set his chances back. 'That is what I am worried about,' Katsuki stated finding the best solution to get out of Eijiro's radar. 'There was a little were pup at the school. If they interact, I am afraid that Mya could say or do something to hurt him.'
Now he understood, 'I see, I don't blame you for worrying. It took her a while to get used to the twins.'
'Yeah, but this is a pup. He is naturally her enemy, and she hasn't been around canine weres to dampen natural instincts.'
'You should have listened to Izuku when he offered for his children to interact with her.'
'No way,' Katsuki quickly answered and Eijiro sighed.
'Yeah, I see the problem now,' Eijiro mumbled as he recalled high school and how Katsuki and Izuku were constantly competing. Not because Izuku wanted, in fact the form human turned were-wolf only wanted to be friends with Katsuki and have him recognize him. It took a while for Katsuki to accept Izuku, but they were still at odds with each other. Probably because the turned were was naturally gifted in strength and speed.
'What does that mean,' Katsuki snared.
'Let's back track to your sister,' Eijiro offered since Izuku was still a sore spot. 'You might get lucky, and she may not be in the same class, or she could have enough control to contain her instincts.'
'Ha,' her contain her instincts when she was a hot head. Heavens, she was going to ruin this for him, he turned wide eyes towards Eijiro in realization to what this meant.
Eijiro was taken back by the sudden look of fear in Katsuki's wide hues, a look he had never seem. Since he never feared anything and was always overconfident of his abilities and chances in life. 'I am sure it'll be okay.'
8888888
'Okay, my ass,' Katsuki grumbled as he walked down the school hall reminiscent of the past as he headed for his sister's classroom. The teacher had called him and asked if he could come to the room after school. Mya had done something and as he got closer to the room, he could only imagine what it was as he recognized her scent and the one from that morning. 'Damnit,' he grumbled to himself.
'Even if the halls are empty, there are still children here so you should watch your language,' he turned to the sound of the lavish and mesmerizing voice. Even though he was being reprimanded, he didn't find it within him to snap back at the person to mind their own business. The problem was that he had been too distracted to notice her walking behind him.
'Hey, you alright,' she quirked an eyebrow as she studied the man in the business suit, he had turned around to face her but since then he had gone quiet. Maybe she had something on her face. She was about to say something when the door nearby to the left opened and she saw her little bundle of joy poke his head out.
'Mom,' he called and nothing else mattered, she quickly stepped around the silent and stunned male to get to her son.

A/N: Chapter four is underway, so I'll see you guys in a few weeks or sooner.
