I opened my eyes and grabbed the bottle of whiskey I had hidden in my room and took a shot.

I'm going to need some more.

I walked into the bathroom and put my wrist over the sink. I summoned a small purple blade of psychic energy. I pressed the blade to my wrist and hissed as I heard it cut.

SHLINK!

I quickly put it under water as I dismissed my psychic blade. I cleaned it up and got dressed for school. I walked to school listening to some music I had made. I started making music when aunt Mitsuki caught me cutting my wrists and she saw the blood. She took all the knives and I then had to go to a therapist and they told her I should start a hobby and so she told me to try music. She got me a sound board and a laptop to put music on. At first I just messed with it and after some time decided that I could just do this as a job. I then started to make better music, but needed something else so I walked to a music store and asked for advice. I bought a keyboard attachment and started adding other instruments to it using the keyboard. I then started putting it online under the name Emerald Sounds.

I made my way to class and sat down. I only showed up so aunt Mitsuki wouldn't yell at me. The teachers didn't care if I paid attention or not. Most of the time they wouldn't even grade my stuff and just say that I got enough to barely pass. While my grades didn't show up as the greatest I knew I was at the top of the class in reality. I knew I had my quirk to thank for that. I listened to music and started a sketch of a hero I had seen on my way here.

"Hey, Deku," Bakugou said, walking up to me.

This is going to be fun. "What do you want Kacchan?" I asked.

SNAP!

"The hag told me to tell you to be at our house by six for dinner tonight," he sighed.

"Alright," I said, going back to my sketch.

SNAP!

"What the hell is that?" he asked, slightly annoyed.

"Notes on heroes and good team-ups and possible problems that might happen at scenes," I said.

SNAP!

"Whatever, just be there, or not. I don't really care," he said, walking off.

"Alright," I said, grabbing my rubberband.

SNAP!

I didn't feel like going home because I would start on a song and then lose track of time and then she would be upset.

SNAP!

I walked to the park where I would work on tunes. I looked up to see a girl whose skin was pink sitting and writing in a notebook sitting on my normal bench.

SNAP!

I went to the nearby tree and sat down while I pulled out my notebook for tunes and started writing down what I wanted my next one to sound like but I was having issues.

SNAP!

There's not much for me to capture.

SNAP! THUM!

"Damn it."

Mina POV-

Today hasn't been the best. First off I forgot my test, then I got turned down by my crush, and then my dance lesson was canceled. So, here I am, sitting here in the park on a bench trying to come up with some good hero names while there's the occasional snapping sound.

"Damn it," I heard someone sigh.

I looked up to see a boy with green hair I hadn't noticed before looking at a rubber band that was broken. I watched as he tried to put it back together just for it to fall apart. I watched as he kept trying to fix it while it didn't work.

"Do you need help?" I asked.

"Huh?" he asked, looking around.

"Hey, I asked if you needed help," I said, looking down at him. "I have a couple of rubber bands," I added, digging through my book bag. "They're pink."

"S-sure, th-thanks," he stuttered.

"Here we are," I said, pulling the bag out. I took one out and handed it to him.

"Th-thanks," he said, taking it and putting it on his wrist.

"So, do you want to sit up here?" I asked. "It's probably more comfortable than the ground."

"S-sure. I-if you're c-certain," he said, grabbing his notebook and slowly sitting on the bench, kinda shying away from me.

I went back to coming up with names but kept looking up to look at the green haired boy. I watched as he tapped his pencil on his notebook and I noticed it was going at a beat.

"Do you play music or are you a dancer like me?" I asked.

"H-huh?"

"Do you play music or dance?" I asked.

"I-I kinda j-just m-make b-beats," he said. A phone rang and he pulled his out and answered it. "Hello. No. No, I was just at the park. Yeah, I'm heading there now. See you," he said, before hanging up.

"Everything good?" I asked.

"Y-yeah, m-my a-aunt j-just w-wanted t-to make s-sure I-I was s-still going to h-her h-house for d-dinner," he stuttered.

"Ok," I said, going back to my name making.

SNAP!

There's that snap again. I thought, looking up to see him messing with the rubber band. He then put his one notebook away and took another one out. I watched as he opened it and I was met with a detailed drawing of Death Arms along with a run down of his powers and super moves.

"Woah, that's a nice drawing. Are you a Hero enthusiast too?" I asked.

"Y-yeah, w-why?"

"I'm planning on being a hero myself. I'm actually trying to come up with a name right now. Hey, do you think you can help me?" I asked.

"S-sure, w-what's y-your quirk?" he asked.

"Oh, my quirk is called Acid. I secrete acid from me and I can control the viscosity, acidicness, and speed," I explained. "Right now I only have Alien Queen and Pinky."

"H-how a-about A-Acid Queen, or A-Acid D-Drip?" he offered. "I-if you w-want to i-include the a-alien part th-then A-Alien G-Guardian or G-Galactic S-Saviour?"

"All of those sound so cool!" I said, adding them to the list. We sat there for a few more minutes before he said he had to leave. "Nice meeting you. I'm Mina Ashido by the way," I said.

"I-Izuku M-Midoriya," he stuttered before walking away.

SNAP!

Izuku POV

That was weird and nerve wracking. I thought, walking to the Bakugou's from the park. Why would she want to talk to me? I thought I hid my presence, unless. I realized, looking at the rubber band. She heard the snapping and when it broke I spoke. I got to the Bakugou's and walked in. "I'm here," I said.

"Hey, how bad of a day was it?" aunt Mitsuki asked, looking at me and whispering the second part.

"Not too bad," I lied.

"Uh-hu, show me," she said. Ever since I was told to use the rubber band she would check it when we met up. I rolled up my sleeve to show my red wrist from me snapping the rubber band all day. "So bad, alright," she said, giving me a hug and walking into the kitchen. "Katsuki, set the table up!"

"SHUT UP OLD HAG!" Bakugou yelled.

"Why isn't it ever quiet?" uncle Masaru asked.

"Tell me about it," I mumbled.

SNAP!

We all sat down and ate pork cutlet bowls. After we were done I stayed for a bit before leaving. I made my way home. I poured the rest of my whiskey into my flask before sitting down and starting some beats as I worked on homework. After I was done I got started on my next song. I worked on it until my alarm to get ready for school went off and I went to start the cycle over again.

AN-

So, I decided to introduce Mina early because she will have an impact on him in UA and I couldn't find a way to have them build that connection in UA or prior to it so I decided to do it early. If you want to know what all Izuku can do with his powers it will be revealed in three(ish) chapters. Honestly, I think this might be my most powerful version of Izuku and also my most broken.
