"Ugh," I grunted, opening my eyes to see a bright light.

"So, finally decided to wake up," a tired voice asked.

"W-what?" I asked, looking to see a hobo with a porn star behind him. "U-um, w-why is there a h-hobo and a p-porn star i-in my r-room?"

"Funny, I'm Eraserhead, a pro hero," the man said.

"I'm the R-18 Hero Midnight," the woman said, surprisingly not acting like the video's I've seen of her.

"W-why are t-two h-heroes in m-my room? W-wait, why a-am I i-in a h-hospital?" I asked.

"We found you with a nasty burn on your chest," Midnight said. "Can you tell us who attacked you or why?"

"I-I d-don't know w-who, b-but as f-for the w-why, well, I-I'm q-quirkless, a-an easy t-target," I stuttered. "I-I don't even know w-why you brought me here," I muttered.

"You could've died if we didn't," Eraserhead said. "Now, what's with the scars?" he asked, looking at my arms and legs. I looked and noticed that I was in a gown and not my clothes.

"U-um," I said.

"You can tell us," Midnight said.

"I-I haven't h-had the g-greatest of ch-childhoods, if you c-can even c-call it that. I-I was b-born q-quirkless. I-I instantly b-became the t-target of a-all bullying," I said.

"And it caused you to become depressed and have anxiety, correct?" Midnight asked.

"Y-yeah," I said. "I-imagine b-being told y-you c-can't be a h-hero, you're o-oldest d-dream b-because of s-something th-that was d-decided f-for you."

"And the teachers just let this happen?" Eraserhead asked.

"Y-yeah, s-some w-would e-even e-encourage it," I stuttered, remembering the gym classes.

"What were you doing being out that late?" Eraserhead asked.

"I w-was going on a w-walk," I said. "I-I need to c-call m-my a-aunt," I lied.

"Where do you live?" Midnight asked. "We want to make sure that you weren't followed by someone the police are tracking or has been released," she clarified.

"M-mustafu," I said.

"Alright, well we're just waiting for the doc to come talk to you then you'll be free to go. Also, we tried calling your home but there was no response," Eraserhead said.

"M-my m-mom works l-late," I lied.

"Hmm, alright," he said.

"Ah, good, you're awake," a man in a white coat said, walking in.

"So, how bad is it?" Eraserhead asked.

"Well, it'll scar but shouldn't have any long lasting issues. If the person who attacked you knew about your quirk they would've thought twice," the doctor said.

Fuck.

Shit. another voice in my head said.

"What do you mean? He said he was quirkless," Midnight said.

"Nope, says here he has a quirk and a pretty strong one too," the doctor said. "I'll send a nurse in to change the bandages when your guardian comes to get you," he added, walking out.

"So, how much of what you just said was a lie?" Eraserhead asked.

"I-I have a q-quirk, b-but I-I wish I-I d-didn't," I stuttered. "A-and m-my m-mom doesn't w-work l-late, sh-she's d-dead. M-my q-quirk k-killed her."

"Alright, call your guardian and have them come get you," he said, looking at Midnight. "I need to talk to my colleague for a bit," he added, as the two of them walked out. I fished out my phone from my pile of clothes. I pulled up her contact and hit the call button.

"Izuku! Why haven't you answered my last few calls? Even you should be up at this time," she yelled through the phone.

"Um, hey aunt Mitsuki. So, I couldn't because I was unconscious in the hospital," I said, deciding to not try to hide it.

"Oh my god! Are you alright?" she asked.

"U-um, k-kinda. I need you to pick me up and also grab me a t-shirt," I said, looking at the hole in my old one.

"Alright, what room are you in?" she asked.

"Room 666," I joked.

"Izuku."

"Room 613, same thing," I added.

"I'll be there in ten minutes," she said, hanging up.

"Alright, kid. We need to clear a few things up," Eraserhead said, walking in. "On her file it says she died to suicide."

"Y-yeah, c-caused by m-my q-quirk."

"What is your quirk?" Midnight asked.

"Psychic M-Mastery. I-I have s-several psy-psychic p-powers. M-mind r-reading, m-memory v-viewing, t-telepathy, d-dream c-control, s-slight t-telekinesis, psy-psychic b-blades, a-and w-when I-I'm o-overwhelmed I s-send a m-mental sh-shockwave that s-stuns those c-close to me," I listed. "I-I can a-also w-wipe my p-presence away, b-but i-if I d-do anything th-that r-reveals me o-or they kn-know a-about m-me b-before hand it d-doesn't w-work."

"Is that all?" Eraserhead asked.

"Th-that I kn-know of."

"Alright, give me your address. I'm going to visit with a friend of mine to have your mind assessed to see how bad your psyche is tomorrow," Midnight said.

I wrote down my address and handed it to the hero.

"Now then, what school do you go to?" Eraserhead asked.

"U-um, A-Aldera J-Junior," I stuttered.

"Alright, I'll be taking the doctor's notes for your school because there's something I need to check out," he said, a hint of something in his voice for the first time.

"A-alright," I said, as there was a knock at the door.

"Izuku," aunt Mitsuki asked.

"Y-yeah," I said.

"What happened? Who are you?" she asked, looking at the two people.

"I'm the pro hero Midnight and this is my colleague Eraserhead," the R-18 hero said. "We are the ones that found him and brought him here, after his friend helped of course."

What? Who? I thought.

"Oh yeah, we were asked to give you this," Eraserhead said, handing me a piece of paper.

Hey kid, Kyoka saw you on our walk and wanted to make sure you were alright. Give us a call when you get home. -Kyotoku

It then had their number on it.

"A-alright," I said, putting it away.

"So, what happened?" aunt Mitsuki asked.

"He was attacked and has bad burns on his chest. Since you are here we will be taking our leave," Eraserhead said, walking out the door with Midnight following him.

"So, how bad is it?" she asked.

"I'm not sure," I sighed.

"Hello Mr. Midoriya, I'm here to change your bandages," a nurse said, walking in.

"A-alright," I said, taking the top of my gown off revealing a bunch of white bandages wrapped around my chest with some going over my shoulders.

The nurse slowly and carefully took the bandages off until she got to some that were red.

"Alright, this is going to sting as the burn is still fresh and a little sticky," the nurse warned before undoing the last couple of layers.

I hissed in pain as the wound was shown to the world. It was in the shape of an explosion with the epicenter right in the middle of my chest.

"It's going to scar, but shouldn't be as big as it is now. I'll show you how to bandage it back up," the nurse said, grabbing some new bandages. "If you need some of these we'll give you a roll," she said, showing me how to bandage it back up. "You can take some painkillers if it gets too bad but you shouldn't do any strenuous activity so we have a note for you to not go to school for the week. The hero that brought you in said he would do it for you. Now we just need you to sign the release papers," she said, looking at aunt Mitsuki.

"Alright," she said, taking the papers. I noticed she was shaking. I already lost his mom, I can't lose him too. She thought.

Too bad something like this happened to a cute kid like him. The nurse thought.

Crap. I thought, closing my mind off of those around me. I thought I had control of that, I need to stop that.

After a few minutes I went to the bathroom and changed into my street clothes. I got in aunt Mitsuki's car and she drove me home. She stayed with me for the rest of the day before I told her I was good and could take care of myself. She left and told me to call her in the morning. I looked at the paper I was given and dialed the number.

"Hello?" Mika asked.

"U-um, h-hey. It's M-Midoriya," I said. "I-I j-ust got h-home."

"Good, it was quite surprising to see Kyoka look down an alley and tell us to get ready to call the cops. Still, I can't believe she called those heroes a hobo and prostitute before realizing what they were," she said, giggling.

"W-well, I-I asked w-why there w-was a hobo and p-porn star in m-my room," I admitted.

"Well, with how they look it's understandable. Kyoka would like to talk to you," she said.

"U-um," I said.

"Don't worry, she just wants to talk."

"Hey," Jirou said.

"H-hey, I-I heard y-you t-tried to h-help me," I said.

"Y-yeah, um," she said.

"Jirou, d-did you s-see m-my arms?"

"..."

"J-Jirou?"

"Yeah."

"Damn it," I sighed.

"I'm sorry," she said.

"I-it's n-not like y-you went l-looking for them," I said.

"No, I meant, are you alright?"

No, no I'm not. I thought. "Y-yeah, i-it's b-behind me," I lied.

"Good, um, my mom wants to know if you want to cancel your lesson tomorrow," Jirou said.

"S-sure," I said. "I-I have a m-meeting anyway," I added.

"Alright, well she's saying to call us Tuesday about your lesson. Um, bye and get better," she said, hanging up.

"I just talked to a girl on the phone," I said, sitting on my bed. I dug my bottle of whiskey and took a big drink. I deserve this one.
