I woke up and looked at the clock. It was around eleven so I got out of bed. Oh yeah, I don't have to go to school for the week. I took a drink of whiskey before going to the bathroom to change my bandages. The final wrap caused me to wince as the skin was still healing. After I got the new ones on I heard a knock at the door. I went and opened it.
"Hello again Midoriya," a female wearing a loose shirt and tight pants said. Looking at her long raven hair and blue eyes I could tell who it was.
"H-hello Midnight," I said, remembering what she told me. "A-and you a-are?" I asked, looking at the woman wearing a turtleneck and skirt.
"I'm Shino Sosaki, I'm a hero as well as a trained psychiatrist," she said, tucking her brown hair behind her ear.
"C-come on in," I said.
"So, walking around shirtless?" Midnight asked.
"S-sorry, j-just c-changed the b-bandages," I said, grabbing a shirt off of the couch and tossing it on.
"It's alright, so how long have you lived by yourself?" Mrs. Sosaki asked.
"Um, e-eight years," I said, sitting on the recliner as the two of them sat on the couch.
"I've been told what you can do," she started.
"I-I can't d-do any th-thing. M-my quirk k-kills," I corrected.
"Hmm, that doesn't sound right to me. Sure it can kill if used improperly, but you can train to use it properly, so why not?"
"I do, I-I hear p-people's th-thoughts. I-I had to t-train myself to n-not," I explained.
"But you still hear voices don't you? Voices that aren't yours?"
"Y-yeah," I said.
"How long have the voices been happening?"
"Years, I k-kinda lost t-track of w-when it s-stopped being the v-voices of others a-and j-just in my h-head," I admitted.
Let me hear what the voices are saying. She said, but it wasn't aloud. "My quirk is telepathy," she explained.
I looked at her and opened my mind sending all the voices through my telepathic connection with her. Then it started. I could hear all of them at full volume for the first time in years.
Why make her deal with us?!
We're your curse, not hers!
This is all you're good for, ruining others.
Now she will suffer in your stead.
You are proving to be the monster everyone knows you are.
This is where your mind kills, just like your mother.
"No, no, no, nono, no no no," I started muttering. "AH!" I yelled as my eyes burst open and I saw the world in a purple haze.
"This is your fault!" my body said, but it wasn't me. Whoever was controlling my body summoned a psychic blade, but unlike the small knives I would make this was a full blown long sleek dagger. I watched as he lunged at Mrs. Sosaki just for Midnight to lift her arm and my vision went black.
"Ugh," I groaned as I opened my eyes.
"What's your name?" a gruff voice asked.
"I-Izuku M-Midoriya," I stuttered.
"Good, I thought we would have to deal with Uzaki again," the voice sighed.
I sat up to see Eraserhead, a small white creature, Midnight, and Mrs. Sosaki looking at me.
"W-who?" I asked.
"Your alter," Mrs. Sosaki said.
"My what?"
"Have you ever had an intelligent conversation with one of the voices?" Mrs. Sosaki asked.
"Y-yeah," I said.
"Well, that's your alter. You have what is called DID or Dissociative Identity Disorder. This is more commonly called Multiple Personality Disorder. You have two minds, your's and the one who we believe exists to protect you, he called himself Uzaki," she explained.
"W-wait, d-did he a-actually a-attack you?" I asked.
"He did, but I have myself to blame for that. I asked you to let me hear the voices and it was too much for you. I will admit, when I felt the mental shockwave hit me I was taken by surprise by the strength of it. I think that the tipping point is when you get overwhelmed," she explained. "Now, you have two options here, you can leave him be or you can integrate him with you."
"W-what d-do you m-mean?" I asked.
"Integrating him with you will basically cause the two of you to become one mind. You will retain your own personality but some of it might change to be closer to his. You won't change too much, but you might become more confident, more likely to use your quirk, but you could also become more aggressive. This is up to you," she said. "The thing is once you integrate him there's no going back."
"Um," I said.
It's up to you. I'm here for your protection. The voice said.
"I-I want t-to l-leave h-him," I said. "F-for n-now at least."
"Alright, now that that's dealt with I can explain why I am here," the small rodent said.
"The s-stoat j-just t-talked," I said.
"Ah, you can tell what I am. Consider me impressed," the rodent said. "I am Nezu, the principal of UA. I've also been told about you and seen your school. Your teacher said you don't pay attention in class and cheat on tests, is that true?"
"Y-yeah, I-I n-normally listen to m-music I've m-made during class," I said. "I-I've taught m-myself everything. I-If they w-were to a-actually g-grade my s-stuff I'd w-wager I'm c-close to the t-top of the c-class. A-and for the t-tests, I-I don't ch-cheat."
"Hmm, if you wouldn't mind taking this small quiz?" he asked, handing me a group of papers.
"A-alright," I said, taking them. I grabbed a pencil and started to answer the questions. A couple of them confused me as they were kind of open ended. After I finished all of them I reread them and handed them back.
"Hmm, I see," the principal said.
"Alright kid, I'm going to say something. I am sorry for not believing you about your school, but after going there and talking to your teacher, it's obvious that you were telling the truth," Eraserhead said. "Now then, what are your plans for the future?"
"P-part of me s-still wants t-to be a hero. B-but I-I'll p-probably j-just do m-music," I sighed.
"Hmm, why do you say that?" Mrs. Sosaki asked.
"B-because, I-I'm not f-fit to b-be a h-hero," I said.
"Kid, I'm going to give you an offer I've never done before. You can come live with me and I will train you to be able to get into a school. That's if you're serious about going into the hero course," Mr. Aizawa said.
"W-what?" I asked. "I-I-I."
"You don't have to make a decision now," he said.
"I-I'll th-think a-about it. Um, i-is there a-anything e-else?" I asked.
"Well, I want to set up a weekly meeting, where the two of us sit down and talk," Mrs. Sosaki said.
"U-um, a-alright. W-would T-tuesdays work?" I asked.
"Perfect actually," she said, standing up. "I'll be back tomorrow and we can start what I want then."
"Now then, we have taken up more than enough of your time. Here's my phone number. Give me a call either when you make a decision or if you want to talk more about it," Eraserhead said, handing me a slip of paper.
"Th-thank you," I said, looking at the paper.
"I can't wait to see what you do," the principal said, hopping on Ereaserhead's shoulder.
The four people left the apartment and I went into my room and popped my headphones on and laid down, listening to music.
AN-
A bit of a shorter chapter but a lot of information given. I've been working on getting stuff for UA set up even though we are a ways away from that and I've decided to frick up the classes by how I realistically think they would be with certain information being known. Also, there may or may not be more people interested in Izuku at UA… wink wink, nudge nudge. So, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and make sure to follow, favorite, comment, and kudos!
