March 25, 3019 of the Third Age of Middle Earth

…And there he stood, undaunted, helm shining with the light of a thousand stars calling for a crown yet forged but already worn. In his left hand, a banner unfurled, inlaid with the White Tree of Westernesse, now Gondor but once Númenor, the line from which he descended and to which he brought pride. In his right lay the Flame of the West, forged under the watchful eye of Elrond Peredhel, the half-elven king, in Imladris, as foretold by both the sons of the Denethor II, gifted through the vision of the Valar Lórien. There, the Sword that was Broken, rebuilt from the shards of Narsil, from the hands of both Elendil and Isildur, was granted to the remnant of their tragic tale as Andúril, from which hope burned the servants of the Enemy. And, as the unyielding Black Gate of Mordor opened, its stone and iron cast aside to allow the unending horde of the Enemy to encircle the last token of resistance left of the Men of the West, Aragorn Elessar, Chieftain of the Dúnedain of the North, Captain of the Host of the West, and now High King of Gondor and Arnor, was the first to step forward - for there would come a day when the era of Men would fall to the might of the Enemy, but it would not be this day.
