Chapter 4
"Hey are you okay?" Breeze asked seeing the concerned look on Storm's face when she came back inside. "Who were you talking to?"
"Let's finish up and find a place where we can talk," Storm told her as she mulled over what Sam had told her.
Breeze paid for her purchases, and they headed back outside. It was after noon and the lunch rush was over, so they decided to have a late lunch at a restaurant a couple of blocks away. Storm liked it because there were tables outside, away from the street, that you could sit and eat at. They went inside and ordered their food and took it outside to the eating area, choosing a table away for any other people.
"Talk to me Sis, was it Dean that called? Is something wrong?"
"No, it wasn't Dean, it was Sam."
"Are they okay?"
"There's a lot going on right now with them. I'll have to backtrack a little, so you'll understand. Dean and Sam's Mom and Sam's girlfriend were killed by a demon. Sam was six months old when his Mom died and from what Dean told me, it nearly killed their father. He swore revenge and has been hunting the demon for over twenty years."
"Sam didn't really go into details about their deaths, but he did tell me some of that. That is horrible for something like that to happen to them."
"Their father figured out a way to track demon activity and has been following it across the country trying to catch up with it to kill it. He tracked it to Salvation, and they think it's going to go after another family tonight. They have a little girl, six months old today."
Breeze froze and looked hard at Storm as she let what she said sink in. She didn't know about demons but had a good idea they were bad news and dangerous. Her mind started working overtime as she went over all she had learned about the supernatural so far and knew she needed to know more.
"What do you know about demons?" she asked Storm.
"Well, not a lot. I know they can possess people and control their bodies. It's like the person is trapped in their own mind and they have no control anymore. They're dangerous and I don't think they can be killed, but they can be exorcised from the victim. Sometimes the possessed person is okay but most of the time the demon has caused so much damage that the person dies."
"That is what that gun is for, isn't it? Didn't you say it could kill anything supernatural?"
"Yes, at least I hope that's true. But to do that they have to be awfully close to the demon, so they won't miss. Sam knows the family that the demon is going to target tonight. They are going to try and stop it."
"Oh no," Breeze mumbled as fear and panic crept into her mind. "They're going to try and stop this demon tonight."
"Yes. Sam is out for his revenge just like his father. I hope Dean can be the reasonable one and keep them all from getting hurt or worse."
"Should I try calling Sam and talking to him?"
"No, that's not a good idea. It could be a distraction for him, and he needs to be focused. I don't call Dean when they're hunting for fear of that."
"What if something happens to them, to Sam? I haven't even told him that I love him," said Breeze, her voice trembling as tears filled her eyes.
"It'll be okay. One thing we can do is pray for their safety and hope someone is watching over them. We need to believe they'll be okay. Dean and Sam are experienced hunters, and their Dad is with them too. He trained them, so he must be a good hunter too. Hopefully, he'll be able to keep everyone safe."
"That doesn't mean that I won't worry."
"Me too, but we can support each other."
"That we can and I'm not leaving until we know they are okay. Do you mind a house guest for another day?"
"Of course not. It will be good to have the company. Why don't we finish up and go do some research of our own?"
"Alright, though I don't have much of an appetite now."
"We need to eat to keep our strength up and wits about us. We are both strong, levelheaded women and we must be there for our guys after all this is over. We don't know what the outcome is going to be, so we need to prepare ourselves."
"You're right," Breeze nodded as she took another bite of her sandwich.
They finished their lunch and headed back to the car so they could drive back to the bar and begin their own research. Besides Samuel Colt, they now had another subject to investigate, demons. They were going to spend the rest of the afternoon educating themselves on everything they could find on them.

"Something's happened Dean. Dad should have contacted us by now," Sam expressed his worry as Dean paced the motel room.
"Maybe he lost his cell, or it died on him," Dean replied, not believing it when he said it. He looked at his cell willing it to ring, and it be their Dad. It was another ten minutes before it did ring, and he nearly dropped it trying to answer it. "Dad, are you okay?"
"Dean," a female voice replied. "You boys really screwed up this time."
"Meg," Dean growled as he clutched the cell tightly. "Where's my Dad?"
"He's not coming home, if that's what you wanted to know. I'll be seeing you Dean."
"What is it Dean?" Sam asked getting up from the bed. "I heard you say Meg."
"She has Dad," Dean spat as he ran a hand over his face trying not to panic.
"What are we going to do? We have no idea where they have Dad."
"Pack up, we need help," Dean told him heading to his duffle and stuffing clothes into it.
"Where are we going?" Sam asked as he started doing the same thing. He went to the bathroom to grab his bathroom bag.
"Bobby's. He'll maybe be able to help."
"Good idea."
The brothers left the motel and got on the road to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to get help from an older fellow hunter, Bobby Singer. He was the go-to guy for supernatural research for other hunters. He was a seasoned hunter and knew the Winchesters since John took up the mantle and began hunting. Bobby had helped him over the years and had kept the brothers off and on when he went off hunting. Unfortunately, John and Bobby had a falling out and the brothers hadn't seen Bobby in a while since he threatened John with a shotgun.
It took Dean nearly four hours of steady driving to get to Sioux Falls. He bypassed the town and headed directly for the salvage yard. He pulled the Impala through the gate and around the driveway to the two-story house and stopped.
Sam groaned as he got out and stretched his tall frame, popping his neck and back. His body was stiff from sitting so long without a break. He looked around the salvage yard not seeing Bobby anywhere and stepped to the trunk of the car to get his bag when Dean opened it. He followed Dean up the steps and to the front door letting him knock and waited on Bobby to answer it.
"Hey Bobby," Dean greeted him.
"Boys! Haven't seen you in a while, come on in," Bobby told them opening the door wider for them. "Got some coffee in the kitchen or if it's not too early, there's beer in the fridge."
"Thanks Bobby," Sam smiled at him.
"We need your help. Dad's been taken by demons," Dean blurred out as they walked toward the kitchen. "We didn't know of anyone else that could maybe help."
"Wanna fill me in on what happened?" Bobby asked looking at the boys and thinking they needed something stronger than a beer. He went to the cabinet for a bottle of whiskey and three shot glasses. He sat one glass in front of each brother before picking up his own.
The brothers picked up the glasses and Dean gulped his down in one long swallow, coughing lightly as it burned down to his stomach. Sam was a little more cautious and slowly sipped his, letting the taste settle on his taste buds and swallowed feeling the burn down his throat. Bobby took two swallows and to empty his glass and sat it back down.
"I have something that might help you boys." Bobby led them to his office and looked around on one of the bookshelves crammed with books and pulled an oversized book down to hand to Sam.
"What's this?" Sam asked sitting down at the desk and opening the book to look at it. He flipped quickly through it and then went back to the front to slowly thumb through it.
"Any idea where to start looking for your Daddy, son?" Bobby asked Dean as they watched Sam face light up as he read the book.
"Not really. Meg was…"
"You know her name?"
"Yeah, the bitch was talkative. She was killing hunters. She killed Pastor Jim and Caleb trying to make Dad give her the Colt."
"Damn! I can see John didn't have a choice," Bobby huffed and then he realized the last of Dean's sentence. "As in the Colt? I've heard rumors for years about that gun, but never thought it was real. So, your Daddy found it? He questioned me about it a long time ago and wanted to know if I had any information about it."
"Didn't know that. Meg wanted to trade the lives of other hunters for the Colt. He took a fake gun to give to her to try and stop her. Somehow, she must have figured out it was fake and now she has Dad."
"Man, Bobby, this book is awesome," Sam told them looking up from his reading. "I think there's some things in here we can use."
"I don't know what you and your Daddy has stirred up, but in a given year I've heard of maybe three or four demon possessions, but so far this year there's been over twenty-seven. There's a storm coming, and you boys are stuck right in the middle of it."
"That's doesn't sound ominous at all," said Dean in a sarcastic voice throwing his hands up into the air.
"Look at this, it's a devil's trap, more elaborate than any I've ever seen," Sam butted it holding up the book for them to see.
"We've got work to do," Dean noted when a plan started forming in his head.

Bobby, Dean, and Sam were in the living room when the front door was knocked off its hinges and Meg stepped into the room.
"Hello boys, miss me?" she asked walking into the house and looking at them.
Dean and Bobby started toward her and were flung backwards into the walls. Sam looked on in shock as he backed slowly away from Meg and deeper into the living room.
"Where's the gun Sam?" Meg sneered at him as she took another step.
Den picked himself up and wiped the blood from his face. He smiled viciously at her before speaking.
"Got you now bitch," he growled watching Meg's anger rise as she tried to stomp toward them only to find she couldn't move.
Sam and Dean looked to the ceiling and smiled causing Meg to look up too. She saw a devil's trap painted on the ceiling and knew she was trapped. They tied her in a chair in the middle of the devil's trap.
"Let me out of here," she demanded.
"Where's our Dad, Bitch?" Dean asked her.
"Do you kiss your Momma with that foul mouth Dean? No, wait, she's dead, just like your Daddy."
"He's not dead!"
"He cried out for his boys," she taunted. "Poor John, just wanted to see you one more time before I slit his throat."
Dean couldn't stop himself as he stepped into the trap and punched her in the face, rocking it to the side hard. Meg smiled back at him with blood on her teeth.
"Dean, son, can I speak to you?" Bobby insisted in a gruff voice.
Dean was breathing fast and hard as he stepped away from Meg who laughed at him.
"Dean, you need to be careful with her. There's a real girl in there. She's being possessed by a demon."
"Damn!" he spat looking back at Meg.
"I think I know what to do," Sam spoke up. He hurried from the room and came back with their Dad's journal and started looking through for what he wanted. "We exorcise the demon."
"Okay Sammy, start reading," Dean stated as he walked around Meg.
"Really? You're going to send me to Hell?"
"Sammy," Dean said in a stern voice.
Sam looked at the journal and began reading the first lines, ""Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica."
Meg growled and jerked her body as the words started to affect her.
"You do this, you'll never know what happened to your Daddy," she hissed as the pain coursed through her body.
Sam had stopped reading until Dean told him to continue.
"Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te…cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare…Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis…Humiliare sub potenti manu Dei;…" Sam faltered as the chair Meg was tied to started to scrap across the floor, slinging her around as she cried out in pain and puffs of black smoke drifted from her mouth.
"Okay, okay," Meg cried out as her head rolled from side to side.
"Where's our Dad?" Dean asked.
"Jefferson City…" she gasped out. "Near a river."
"Missouri?"
"Dean, you're killing her," Bobby told him.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked when Sam stopped reading again.
"Son, the only thing keeping her alive is that demon. Didn't you say she fell from a four-story building?"
"Yeah."
"When you exorcise that demon, every injury she got is going to be released."
"Then, I'll give her some peace. Finish it Sam,"
"Contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine…quem inferi tremunt…Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos." Sam ended the spell and on the last words, Meg screamed as she threw her head back and black smoke poured from her mouth until the demon was gone. Meg coughed blood that dripped from her mouth as her head fell forward.
"Sammy, help me," Dean insisted as he quickly removed the ropes and they laid her carefully on the floor.
"A year," Meg gagged as the blood bubbled out of her mouth.
"What?" Sam asked trying to catch her words.
"I was possessed for…A year."
"Meg, is our Dad still alive? Was she telling the truth?"
"Yes."
"Where is he?"
"Sunshine…" Meg mumbled as she breathed her last breath and went limp in Dean's arms.
"You boys need to get out of here," Bobby told them. "I'll call the cops and come up with a story."
"Are you sure Bobby?" Sam asked.
"You think you've got the market on lying. I was doing this when you were in diapers. Now go, go save your Daddy," Bobby growled at him.
"Thanks Bobby," Dean told him. "Let's go Sammy."
They hurried to get their bags and headed for the Impala to leave.
"I'll need to stop for gas once we get away from Sioux Falls and I need to make a call," Dean told Sam.
"Yeah, me too," Sam replied in a muffled voice as he stared out the window.
The Impala tires ate up the road as it headed for Jefferson City, Missouri.
A/N: Meg has John Winchester. Can the brothers save their father? Thanks for taking this ride with me. Reviews/Comments would be great. NC
