Author Notes: This is more of a build-up for the major event, sort of wrapping up the Lion King mini-arc before we resume the French mini-arc.
Chapter 3: Oasis
Random Jungle
In the middle of a jungle amongst the vast desert, an oasis from the drought, a lion, warthog, and a meerkat
"Hakuta Makata. What a wonderful phrase. It means no worries. For the rest of your days," said the meerkat in a sing-song voice.
"Then you'll be able to face death with dignity. Let's change that.," said a voice in the sky.
"Wha?" asked the meerkat before looking up along with his warthog and lion friend.
They all shared a collective scream of panic.
"Scar? Y-you're dead? Like my father? What happened?" asked the lion.
"Simba. Something wonderful. A djinn gave me the ability to become immortal. Just stand there while I do something marvelous for my little nephew who's still alive. To rectify a grievous mistake that needs correction.," he said as he opened his mouth and began building up a gigantic fireball.
The warthog then leaped up and farted, expanding the explosion into Scar's face, causing the false king to scream in rage.
"Who's the monkey uncle, Simba? He's a little cloudy and filled with a fiery passion. We should leave you to catch up.," said the meerkat.
"Timon. Pumbaa. He must've gone mad from despair. I'll make him see reason. You guys run.," said Simba as he posed for battle.
"We'll stick with you till the end, Timon.," Pumbaa replied before turning to Timon.
The meerkat sighed in acceptance.
"We're with you till the end.," he told Simba.
"We're gonna die.," he muttered.
Suddenly, Scar was trapped by an odd polygon-shaped barrier.
"Not so high and mighty are you?," mocked Banzai as the arriving hyenas laughed at Scar's predicament.
"Abdicating the throne for this megalomanic? Kinda makes you rethink things about running away from home. He's going to lose all nine of his lives. And be sent to the nearest Hell afterlife in your universe," said an odd hairless ape garbed in odd blue material with red floating skin. As he said this, Scar saw his soul split into nine halves that dissipated.
"Hyenas...and...," Simba noted.
"Oh no, It's Man. Hide your precious bugs. Goodbye cruel world.," Timon gulped.
"Take me. I make a good Porkchop.," Pumbaa begged.
"Timon how do you know about what he is?," Simba asked.
"They do a tv show on the side that deals with anachronisms. It may or may not be canon, but the knowledge is innate through all versions.," said the man.
Timon and Pumbaa looked directly at an unseen audience, perplexed.
"He must've killed him himself over the guilt of inheriting my father's throne after his death...Which is my fault.," Simba pondered.
"A murderer of your father he is to gain the throne. Impossible for the guilt to consume him, it is. To become the true king you must become.," said a green humanoid in brown robes to Simba.
Simba gasped before looking angrily at Scar.
"I am the one true king. Don't look at me with such contempt. It's not like you can do anything mere mortals.," said the lion head.
"Is that a threat?" asked a familiar voice, causing Scar to turn with fear.
It was an amber-gold lion with a dark-scarlet mane, beige muzzle, paws, and underbelly, upper eye-patches darker than his main pelt, the lower halves being lighter, and his eyebrows were thick and black. He stood in the sky along with countless other lions.
One that Scar had never expected to see his life again.
Simba was both guilt-ridden and relieved to see him.
"Mufasa. Y-you're.," Scar stumbled before several other lions pounced on him and dragged him into the dark corners of the sky.
"To the bad place, he will be sentenced to. His crimes, he will be made to answer for.," said the green humanoid.
"He's Yoda. I'm Dr. Stephen Strange. Like or not, you're in an Endgame Crisis event. And this is just the beginning of the weirdness you might expect," said the man in the blue clothes to Simba as the Pridelands pride arrived.
"Simba. You're...," Nala said before turning to Mufasa.
"I'm sorry.," he said.
"Mufasa.," Sarabi said longingly.
"Follow the man-people, Simba. Scar won't be held back for long before the Black God brings him into the fold.," said Mufasa.
"What?" Simba replied in confusion.
"Scar was meant for greater things. He won't be-," Zira said before the hyenas dogpiled on her, devouring her alive.
"Choke on it! Choke on it!" she garbled as she was eaten alive as the lions, meerkat, and warthog looked in horror.
"We'll be needing them for the upcoming war.," said Dr. Strange as he summoned a portal.
With reluctance, Simba followed the others into the portal.
