Tubbo sat there watching Michael walk around Ranboo's house. Michael looked over at Tubbo and asked, "Papa?"
Tubbo just shook his head. "No, Michael. Papa's not here." He looked around the room seeing reminders of Ranboo everywhere. "But I do think this is the safest place for you right now. This is where Papa would want you to be." He got on the floor with Michael. "I'll make sure you have everything you need and I'll even bring Chicken to come stay with you." Michael smiled at his dad as they heard boot falls coming towards them.
Technoblade walked into the room to see the piglin that he had seen in the photo Ranboo had shown him. "You plan on staying here with this piglin, Tubbo." Tubbo shook his head as he avoided Techno's gaze. Techno knew Tubbo was still dealing with Ranboo's death so he let it go. He stooped down to get a better look at Michael. He pulled a golden carrot out of his cape and handed it to the happy piglin. "Ok buddy. I guess we're going to be neighbors now." Michael smiled with pieces of the carrot all over his face.
Techno rubbed Michael's head as Tubbo exploded. "Ranboo and I adopted him, but," he finally made eye contact with Technoblade. "He's biologically your son, Techno." Techno sat on the floor as Michael climbed into his lap to finish eating his carrot. Tubbo shrugged as he started confessing how they found Michael. "Ranboo and I went to the Nether looking for stuff when we found him wandering around with this note pinned to his shirt. We didn't tell anyone that fact because we were scared your enemies would be after him. We already knew that our enemies were already going to be a problem for us needing to protect him from." Tubbo walked over to a framed photo of Michael. He flipped the frame over and slipped the note out. He opened it and showed it to Techno. "The mother said you and her had a one time …. well you know what happened between the two of you," he waved off Techno's questioning look which quickly changed to a knowing nod. "But she didn't want you to know she got pregnant. She didn't know how you would react. She was a little scared that you would either be mad or call her a dumb slut when she swears she wasn't." Tubbo sighed as he watched Techno rub Michael's back. "Anyway she explains in the note that she was in the Nether looking for nether gold ore when she went into labor. She was by herself and right before he was born, she was stuck by lightning causing him to be born as a zombie piglin." Techno mindlessly put his arms around Michael as he continued to listen to Tubbo. "The note said while she did love him, he was not accepted by her people so she made the decision to leave him in the Nether with the other zombie piglins with this note explaining who he was in hopes that your name would save him from death."
"That bitch just left him?" Tubbo nodded as he brought Michael a toy as he cuddled closer to Techno.
"Techno, she was hoping that he would be accepted by the other zombie piglins and that the note was her last chance to keep US from killing him." Tubbo smiled at Michael as he giggled at the toy he loved. "I think Ranboo honestly loved him," Tubbo sat in front of Techno and tickled Michael's hooves. He giggled into Techno's chest causing Techno to grin. "He felt like if we loved him and raised him as our own that he would become a good pig and not a mindless killer. Ranboo wanted our lives to mean more than just a war that could never be won. He wanted his life to have meaning that he maybe could remember, something he would look forward to being around, something he could be proud of being a part of."
Techno closed his eyes and sighed as he felt Michael cuddle into the folds of his cape, finding another golden carrot. Techno laughed as he looked down at Michael. "Ok now, Mike. Last snack for you, buddy." He stood up, picking up Michael and turning to face Tubbo. "We need a plan, Tubbo. I know you two had been keeping him kinda a secret," he shook his head at him. "I mean it was the worst kept secret ever since YOU kept him locked up in an attic with a chicken." Tubbo rolled his eyes at Techno. "But we need to raise him, protect him, and train him to protect himself." Techno looked at Tubbo as Michael put his head on Techno's shoulder. He felt the child's warm breath on his neck as he started to snort quietly and calmly in Techno's arms. "He will stay your and Ranboo's son in everyone else's truth. I'll be the guy who lives next door who takes care of him while you go and deal with your own issues." He shifted to make sure Michael was comfortable. "But know this now Tubbo, I know who he truly is, and I'll make damn sure he has EVERYTHING he'll ever need. He's going to have the best armor and blade possible. I'm going to start his warrior training as soon as you leave him." He turned to start out of the room with Tubbo following close behind him. "Now we're going to take him to Captain Puffy's for dinner. Maybe she has some golden carrot slices in honey." Tubbo smiled at how Techno was taking on the news like he was. "I need to decide how to change the outlay of this house to better protect our boy. Maybe an emergency escape tunnel that runs right into the panic room in my house in case he needs me. Some sort of signal for him to give me when he's alone in this house and might need me. Or maybe I think I need to make him a room in my house…"
"We'll discuss all of that after dinner, Techno. Caring for a zombie piglin is a major undertaking." Tubbo said as he caught up with the tall, scary man cradling his son.
He stopped and looked Tubbo in the eyes, giving Tubbo an instant cold shiver. "He's yours but he's also mine. He will want for nothing. Do you understand me, Tubbo?" He snorted as they walked out of the house. "Now with him here, Technoblade will never EVER die." He carried Michael as they started towards Captain Puffy's.
