"Please Papa! Papa, please?" the pleading in the girls' voice carried as she tugged on his hand with one tiny one, and the other pointed fervently at a poster on the wall.

'Renaissance Fair this Friday!

Gates open at 5!

FOOD! DRINKS! COSTUMES! Watch a JOUST! '

The man sighed. His daughter always did love anything to do with magic and medieval.

"Princess . . ."

The faire started an hour after he got off work, and he would be tired.

He watched as her already big eyes became wider, pleading further. He knew that look - her puppy eyes would only get worse the longer this went on.

He sighed and chuckled. "Princess . . ."

"Please?" her voice was quieter now. "I wanna go with you. "She looked up at him.

It wasn't like she never saw him, or that he worked all the time, but recently he'd taken on more jobs, and he was clearly more tired than usual.

He watched her clutch the 'hand' of her stuffed dragon in her free one, and held his massive hand with the other.

He loved her with all his heart, and would do anything for her, and he was pretty sure she knew it.

Luckily she never took advantage of that - she knew how adorable she was.

He sighed once more. "We won't go when it starts, but we'll visit the faire after I get out of work, ok?"

Princesses' eyes lit up happily. "Really? Thank you, Papa!" she gave him a tight hug.

He smiled, and held her close.

"Of course, my Princess. I love you."

She nuzzled into his shoulder. "I love you too, Papa."
