[jacilenemns - thank you for the idea you've given me for chapter 9!]

"Andy..?"
"Mmm?" he answered, rolling onto his side to look into the same sea of green he did the previous day.
"What are we doing?"

"Well Sharon, since neither of us are into one night stands, I think we decided to make it two." flashing that crooked grin.
"Damn you and that grin Andy Flynn!" she chuckled.
"Damn me as much as you like... no matter where I'm damned to, I'll be damned a happy man." he responded, with no change of facial expression. "Are you about to give me that speech about removing my ass from your bed because we have to hurry again?"
"Not yet" she answered "but I was going to ask you if you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt to work today."

"You know, Andy... If someone had told me this time last week, that I'd be waking up to your face two days running, I would have laughed, but now that I have, it feels like the most natural thing in the world. I'm confused by it, and happy about it at the same time."
Knowing the exact sentiment she was trying to convey, because he felt exactly the same way, Andy just smiled at her in response.
"So, can I tell Provenza I have a toothbrush in your bathroom?" he teased.
"Are you serious?" she sounded alarmed.
"Yes and no he laughed. The old man is suspicious. He's been poking and prodding at me since yesterday. He knows something's off, but he also knows I always tell him what's going on in my life, big or small. Personally I think he's starved for entertainment." Andy told her.

"UGH" she grunted at him" tell him SOMETHING if you must. As little as you can get away with, and no more. No details. For goodness sake tell him to keep his mouth closed, and not to even allude to it with me. I find him just as amusing as he finds himself most of the time, but this subject is out of bounds" she said in the sternest Captain's voice she could muster.

"To answer your question about my wardrobe, I have a suit in the car."
She couldn't decide whether the suit in the car was excellent forward planning, or an indication that he was too sure of himself, but was impressed either way.

It wasn't until both were dressed and ready to leave that she realised that his tie was a perfect match to the colour of her blouse. "Will you look at us! We can't walk in there together this morning."
Andy just smiled and offered to take his own car. "Give me 10 minutes. That's a respectable time gap." About to open the door, he stopped and turned around.
Walking close to her, he looked into her eyes and found them looking back questioningly, as if asking him what he was doing.
"Have a wonderful day" he smiled, and took her into his arms and kissed her as though in that moment, there was no world outside. Before she could answer, he opened the door and stepped out.

Entering the murder room alone, Andy looked at the faces watching him and said "I would say good morning to everyone, but Provenza says that's not normal" and walked to his desk setting his coffee down, and turning to get his customary cup from the break room he added "but be damned if I'll give up humming."
Provenza's jaw dropped as he stood to follow him.

Less than 20 minutes later, the clicking of heels sounded their way into the murder room bringing commands and questions with them.
"Lieutenant Provenza, where are we with our two murdered police officers?"
"Mike, I want everything you can find on Enrico Fornes, both here and in Mexico. I want to know what makes him so valuable".
"Lieutenant Flynn, please contact Chief Howard to see if there are any FBI updates we should have."
"Detectives Sanchez & Sykes, let's get boots on the ground looking for this guy, before he's spirited out of the country".
"I'll be in my office" she finished and closed the door.

Provenza looked at Andy, then at the door, then back at Andy again, shaking his head he caught his friends eye and mouthed "MATCHING IDIOTS", before grabbing the file in question and heading in to brief the Chief as requested. Andy simply grinned in response.
