Gumball and Anais were sitting on the couch feeling bored, all because they could not watch television or play video games as they were grounded for the rest of the day by their mother, Nicole, for leaving junk food all over their room for bugs, rodents and other small critters.

"Gumball, I'm bored. What should we do today? I mean we're both grounded for the rest of the day for not keeping our room free of bugs and pests because we leave certain types of junk food all over the place." "Well, that's exactly what we're gonna do, little sister. We are going to rid our room of trash and unwanted waste." "Alright. Let's do it."

So Gumball and Anais went to get some garbage bags from the kitchen and then went upstairs to their room and saw how messy it was. They were lucky there were no bugs or rodents around their room, however. "Okay, who does which part of the room?"

So, Gumball and Anais would rid their room of unwanted trash and waste by throwing it in the garbage bags. They would also set their parts of their bunk bed: Gumball setting up the bottom section and Anais setting up the top section. They would put the books back in the correct sections. As time flew by, before they knew it, the room was clean and tidy again. But they were not done from there. They would then head to the kitchen and clean the dishes, with Anais scrubbing the food scraps off the dish, and Gumball rinsing the soap off and putting it in the dish rack for it to dry.

"Wow, we didn't expect to get all of that work done this fast. That's teamwork, little sister. If a group of people work together as a team, things get done faster. That's true. We're still grounded, however, so what should we do until Mom inspects this room? Maybe we can read some books." Gumball suggested. "Good thinking, but it's gotta be more entertaining, but we can't use our computer because we're both on punishment, still." Anais replied.

To Gumball's suggestion, he and Anais would read some books as Nicole, the Watterson matriarch, came back home from work. I hope that their room is spotless and free of trash." Nicole wondered as she opened the bedroom door. There, she found her children reading books in their clean room. "Wow, I see that this room is spotless again. Yeah, and after we cleaned this room, we also cleaned the dishes in the kitchen." Anais said. "Wow! I'm very proud of you two for your hard work. Therefore, your punishment is over. You two are no longer grounded." Nicole said happily.

From that moment on, the two siblings learned a valuable lesson: they should always clean up after themselves.
