Some infos about my Who favourites.
I love River I personally think she is one of the greates characters in Doctor Who.
I love all Doctors, but my favourite is 11.
chapter 1:
It was a rainy and dark night at Stormcage. River Song sat on her bed and wrote in her diary. It was maybe a few weeks ago, but the adventures with the Docter took always a long time to fade from her memory. She wrote about their time together on Asgard and how the doctors eleventh face grew younger and younger every time she met him.
She was sad. River cried for the days she saw young versions of him, but lived for the times, which become lesser and lesser, when he was old. The times when the Doctor understood the pain that grew bigger with every meeting. Every time they are together could be the last one. Every kiss they share and every adventure they have.
River looked around her small cell at Stormcage.
It didn't bother her much, because she could escape at any time she wanted to, but it was still lonely. A lonely life without her mother or her father. Of course, the Doctor came every few months, but it wasn't the same.
She put her tardis-blue diary under her bed and laid down. River looked for, what felt like hours, at the window. It rained. Like always at Stormcage. Slowly she fell asleep.
"Melody, Melody.." said a familiar, but scary voice "Tell me where he is. I know you know it. Tell me or you will die. Like your mother, like your father. But before that you will suffer. You will be in so much pain that you will cry out for your dear husband. He won't come for a long time, but when he does I will kill you right infront of him."
River opened her eyes carefully. She saw a woman. Someone from her childhood. Someone she never thought to see again.
Madame Kovarian.
There was someone else. Something behind her. She just couldn't remember what it was. Every time she looked away it was deleted from her mind.
"Come on Melody. I know you want to tell me. Just tell me where he is. Let me kill him. Let him die so you can live."
"NEVER!" River said aggressivly and spat on Madame Kovarian.
Short after that she saw a hand and felt a slap on her face.
"My dear child I really don't want to do this, but you leave me no choice."
Madame Kovarian turned around and stood infront of a metal table. There are a variety of medical and builder tools. Next to the table were big bottles of acid and water. Kovarian to a tongs. She turned around again and walked slowly with a psychopathic smile towards River.
River flew out of her bed. She was flooded with sweat and her mouth was dry from breathing heavily.
She was barely able to get herself to stand up. When she finaly did it, she felt something make its way up her throat.
River turned herself to the near toilet and vomited. All of the food she had eaten for the past few days landed in the cold and metallic bowl.
She pulled herself up and sat next to the toilet.
It took a few minutes to realize what just happend. The nightmare she had. About Madame Kovarian, torture and the Silence. It felt all so real she thought.
The pain, the anger.
River had nightmares before, but they were nothing compared to this one.
A few days past and it was always the same. Kovarian asking about the Doctor, waking up, River scared and alone in her cell. Again and again. It felt like it would never stop. But there was something else that didn't stop. She still vomited. After every nightmare. River felt something was wrong. She didn't know what, but she had to get out of her cell and out of Stormcage.
The sun set and River packed a few things she might need in her bag. Her diary of course, the hallucinogenic lipstic and other stuff that will probably be usefull later. She got on her knees and opened a secret chamber behind the sink. There was a safe. River looked inside. At the top shelf stood a small wooden box. It made a click sound when she revealed the inside.
It was the vortex manipulator she 'borrowed' from an old friend called Captain Jack Harkness.
River smiled about the thought.
It was quite an adventure when they met. Jack, the Doctor and she ran fast while they escaped from cybermen on earth in the year 1999.
Later they noticed it was new years eve, so they went to the biggest party they could find. The only one that stayed sober that night was the Doctor. His excuse was that he had to drive, but River knew that he just doesn't like alcohol. There wasn't much she remembered. Just the enormous headache the next morning and that she woke up naked next to the Doctor. Jack was nowhere to be found. Just his vortex manipulator. She could have brought it back, but where is the fun in that.
River took the divice and put it on her wrist. She took her bag and chose the place and the date she wanted to land.
She pressed on the big button, a light and a bit of smoke appeared. From one second to the other River vanished.
