Unaware that he had left himself completely vulnerable, Lancex was busy reading his book. And as he continued reading, a red portal opened nearby but Lancex didn't realize it until he raised his optics from his book and straight into the pointy end of a sword and a loaded gun barrel. Lancex was a bit angry and grew even angrier when he found the bot on the other end of the weapons was none other than Megatron. "What You want, you pompous air bag?" Lancex asked, seemingly unafraid.
"I want you, Lancex" Megatron responded in his gravelly voice.
"Can't have me, you frag bucket" Lancex threw back.
"Oh really?" Megatron asked before silently summoning Shockwave and Dreadwing. And while Dreadwing came through with weapons pointing at Lancex, Shockwave came through, carrying something. It took a minute for Lancex to realize the items that Shockwave were carrying were a knocked out cold Arcee and a thoroughly restrained Bumblebee. "Like I said. I want you, but I am willing to take these two and destroy their systems so thoroughly no one will even find what's left. The choice is yours and yours alone."
Lancex sighed. Some choice – either he surrenders and possibly meets his end or he refuses and Arcee and Bee will meet their end. Lancex realized he can't risk two helpful bots for his less than helpful aft (or so he thinks). "Fine, you bag of bolts. I will surrender, it before you touch me, you let those two go" Lancex shot back, finally showing his hand. He had forgotten about Dreadwing as Lancex was focused on Megatron and Shockwave.
This bot was not like any Autobot, and while Megatron didn't show it, but he liked the feistiness of this one. One because of that did Megatron dare to "release" the other two bots. Megatron ordered Shockwave to drop the pair of Auotbots. Shockwave did so, but made a bit of a show of it, so that Lancex wouldn't realize until it was too late that Dreadwing would grab the bot. Soon enough though, that didn't matter, as while Bee and Arcee were both out of it on the ground, Lancex was long gone. Lancex had forgotten that three on one were never good odds for the bot on the "one" side of the equation, and now he was going to pay for it, or so the cons assumed.
