After many long, frustrating, and grueling hours of practice in the training center, Lancex began to grow tired. Training for this level of mastery took a lot out of a bot and Lancex was no exception. He had grown much closer to the level of unlimited blade works, but wasn't quite a full master at it yet. His systems are so in need of recharge that Lancex would have crashed to the ground if Predaking hadn't caught the bot. Predaking felt his pulse race a bit, but decided to play it cool, as Predaking didn't think Heatwave and Cody needed to know anything more was going on than what Optimus had said.
Seeing that Lancex was about to completely power down, Heatwave used the space bridge and brought everyone back to Griffin Rock. Cody headed off as did Heatwave, after he pointed to an area where Predaking could take Lancex to recharge. Heatwave suspected something, but he really didn't want to bring it up in front of the humans.
Once Predaking found the area, he placed Lancex on a recharge berth. Predaking could smell the hormones coming off Lancex. Predaking hoped Lancex would soon answer the question, Predaking snuggled close, thankful that this recharge berth was in a private room. Predaking would make sure Lancex slept so he could practice again.
Meanwhile, Bulkhead spoke to Boulder. "Long time no see" Bulhead stated, once again.
"Yes, but I was sent on a rescue long time ago" Boulder stated.
"Yeah, I tried to get on the rescue team, but I was too clumsy" Bulkhead replied.
"It's ok, you found your calling" Boulder responded. The two talked further, mostly in Cybertronian as Bulkhead wanted to talk about Lancex and Predaking but without the humans knowing what was going on. Boulder listened and offered what little advice he had. Bulkhead appreciated it, as it helped to talk to a close friend.
Meanwhile, high is the sky craft that passed as the con base, Dreadwing had finally perfected the programming glitch medication that could be inserted into any bot and reset their programming. And at various levels it could adjust various programming, up to and including totally making a bot devoid of any programming and starting from scratch. Dreadwing hoped that level would, never be used, but he included it nonetheless. Now it was time to find the bot who had gotten away, so to speak.
And back at the other Autobot base, Optimus sighed. His team was divided and there was no telling when Megatron may make his move. Optimus could only hope Megatron would wait until Lancex was ready.
