Now, let's resume our story.

Welcome to Dinotopia!

As Gavin stepped off the sandy beach and into the large forest that lined said beach, he took a good look at the foliage of the trees, ferns, and shrubs, and arched an eyebrow. "Wait, why does that fern look like one from the age of Dinosaurs?" he said as he looked at one fern that had very broad leaves. It reminded him of the fake ones that they had in the exhibits at that one museum he'd visited a couple of times, the one that had a big dinosaur exhibit in it.

Then, he heard a loud hooting noise, which confused him, as it didn't sound like an owl. It honestly sounded more like bellowing. "What the hell is that?" he said with confusion as he walked through the forest, looking around carefully as he did so.

A few minutes went by, before he stumbled across a small clearing that had a log laying on one side on the ground. "Huh, I guess I could stop here for a bit," Gavin said to himself before he sat down.

As he sat there, he pondered over what he was going to do next. 'Hmmm, this spot is a perfect place to camp at,' He thought as he looked around at the clearing. 'It's close enough to the beach that I could go out and look for passing ships with ease, and possibly signal them.' At that, his eyes widened as he remembered something. "My phone!" He exclaimed as he down to his pocket and grabbed the device. "I could…nevermind," he continued when he pulled out his flip phone and opened it, only to find that it was dead, presumably from being in the saltwater. He then sighed, and slid his phone into his backpack, along with everything else that was in his pockets so they'd have a better chance of drying. "Can't use that."

He continued to sit there and ponder for several minutes, making a plan, before some shrubs on the opposite side of the clearing began to shake and shiver. "Who's there?" Gavin said as he stared at the shrubs, his heart rate picking up a bit. "Show yourself!"

The shrubs continued to move around a bit more, before a creature stepped out, and Gavin nearly toppled off the log with shock.

'Holy shit!' he thought to himself, unable to say a word due to shock. 'It's a fucking Protoceratops! And it's an anthro!'

The Protoceratops was indeed anthro, as it stood on two shapely legs that had thick thighs and wide four-toed feet. The dinosaur stood 3 feet 2 inches tall, and was female, as it had two large breasts on its chest that were the size of very large cantaloupes. Her head frill was rather small and narrow, and her nose was quite smooth. Two small points sat at the rear of her jaw. Her skin was mostly ruby red in color, with tannish yellow coloring on the underside of her jaw, the front of her neck, her chest, her somewhat chubby belly, and the underside of her somewhat short tail. Her beak like mouth was light yellow, almost golden in color. Her four-fingered hands and toes were tipped with smooth and round white nails, with the nails on her fingers a bit more pointed than those on her toes. She was wearing a red top that consisted of two large red fabric straps that went around her neck and made a large boob window, showing off a good amount of cleavage, before more fabric went down to her waist and around her torso. A yellow woven belt was around her waist, while more of the red fabric from the top went down to her knees, making a small skirt. A couple slits were made in the sides of the skirt, with a few black threads keeping the very tops of the slits together.

The female dinosaur stared at him intently, her eyes filled with what appeared to be surprise and wonder.

Silence filled the air as they stared at each other, neither one moving.

'What the fuck is with this island?!' Gavin thought as he stared at the dinosaur, making sure to keep his eyes above her chest. 'First anthro dolphins and now an anthro dinosaur?! What next, an anthro dragon?!'

After a few more minutes had passed, he gulped, and spoke. "Umm, hello," He said to the female, who jumped a bit with surprise. "Sorry," he apologized. "Didn't mean to startle you. Um, you can understand me, right?" He continued, looking at her with a questioning gaze.

At that, the female dinosaur opened her mouth, and spoke. "Yassss, I dooo," She said in a gentle voice, her English sounding a bit mixed up and unrefined.

Gavin's eyes widened greatly at this. 'Holy shit she can talk!' he thought with shock. 'Just like that dolphin could!' "Ummmmm, ooookay then," he replied, doing his best to not freak the fuck out right then and there. "First off, where am I?" He asked her.

"Yoau are in Dinotopia," The female replied.

"'Dinotopia?'" he repeated, causing her to nod in agreement. "Does that mean there are other dinosaurs here?"

"Mhm!" the female said with a nod, making his wide eyes widen a bit more. "Awll kynds!"

Gavin was silent at that and rubbed his head with a hand. 'Oh boy,' He thought to himself. 'What the hell have I gotten myself into?!' He continued with a loud sigh, before he spoke again. "So, what brings you here?" He asked her.

"I wasss couming to cheick the beaich to seey if aneywone had ben brouuught ashore afta the stowrm," She replied.

"Oh! Well, um, you found one," he said to her. "I was brought here by the dolphins," He continued.

"Ah, you are a dolphinback," She replied. "Just like the otheyr humans on Dinotopia."

"Wait, there are other humans here?" he said to her with surprise. 'And what's a dolphinback?' He thought to himself. 'Is that what they call people who are brought here by the dolphins?'

"Yesss, now coume," The female dinosaur said to him, gesturing for him to follow her. "There isss a playce neyrby."

"Ummm, okay," Gavin said after several seconds of silence, before he stood up and grabbed his bags. "Is it far?" he asked her as he followed her deeper into the jungle.

"Nought wreally," The female Protoceratops replied as they walked. Silence quickly overcame the both of them, as Gavin wasn't really sure what else to ask or say at the moment, as his mind was a bit frazzled and he was doing his best to not flip the fuck out.

As they walked through the jungle, a low bellow rang throughout the air, which prompted the female dinosaur to let out a loud, somewhat high-pitched squeal. Almost immediately, another bellow rang through the air, a bit louder this time.

'What the fuck is that?!' Gavin thought to himself as they walked through the jungle, while they heard heavy footsteps in the distance. 'Another dinosaur?!'

After about fifteen to twenty more minutes had passed, they stepped out of the jungle and into pastureland that looked quite well-kept. A large dirt road could be seen snaking its way towards a large stone building that was two stories tall and rather long. At the far end of it was a large stone tower that had a large windmill on it, while the stone building had an extra story right next to it. The roof was thatched and rather large, while at the closest end of the building was a small tower on the top of the roof that held a large red stone in it that glistened in the sunlight. All around the building and coming in and out of the high stone archways, which had thick wooden doors on them, were people and anthro dinosaurs. There were several Iguanodons, Maiasaura, a couple Ankylosaurs, a few Triceratops, and a few Brachiosaurs, who were quite tall anthros, being about 15 feet tall.

'What is this place?' Gavin thought as he followed the female Protoceratops to the road, which was currently very muddy from the storm they had had, and started to go up it with her. The road was well used, with large wheel ruts in it, along with the footprints of three, four, and five-toed creatures, presumably dinosaurs. And some of them were much bigger than the others. 'Is this what she was talking about?' he continued as they walked, looking at the building with interest.

Soon, they had gotten closer, and a female Triceratops, who was wearing a dark blue outfit very similar to the Protoceratops', let out a low and loud bellow upon spotting them.

'Oh, so that's what was making that bellowing earlier,' He thought with realization, before he spotted some people come out of the building along with more dinos, making a large group.

A couple minutes later, they had reached the group, and came to a stop.

"Um, hi," Gavin said with a tentative smile and wave as he set his bags down. "My name's Gavin Woodring," he continued. "It's nice to meet you."

At that, two humans stepped forward, one man and one woman. The woman was around 5 foot 6 inches tall, and had a large and warm smile on her face. Her skin was somewhat tanned, and her raven black hair was put up in a large bun on the back of her head. Her eyes seemed to twinkle a bit and were light blue in color. She was wearing a light red dress that had a large skirt that hid her legs, with a pair of simple brown shoes on her feet, and a white shawl on her shoulders. She appeared to be in her early to mid-twenties.

The man stood 6 feet tall, and was rather muscular. He had short dark brown hair and a large handlebar mustache, as well as dark gray eyes. His clothing consisted of a light green robe that had yellow embroidery on the cuffs and shoulders, with three-toed dinosaur feet embroidered on his chest. A pair of black shoes sat on his feet. He appeared to be in his late twenties.

The woman smiled at him as she looked him up and down, before she spoke in a gentle and kind voice. "Wilcome, young one," She said to him. "I am Maria Denison. Thiese is my husband, Jack Denison," She continued as she gestured to the man, who smiled at him, before holding out a hand to shake.

"Welcome to owur home, Gavin Woodring," He said to Gavin with a rather deep voice as Gavin took his hand, which was a bit rough, and shook it. "Now coume inside. You muhst be tyred," he continued.

"A bit," Gavin replied honestly. With all that he had been through, plus the several shocking things he'd just witnessed, he was feeling tired, despite having gotten a somewhat decent amount of sleeping the raft the night before. At that, his wife took Gavin's arm, prompting him to grab his things and go with her, the dinosaurs parting so that they could go inside.

As they went, all the dinosaurs stared at him with interest, and let out low bellows and hoots to each other as they did so. Upon stepping through one of the doorways in the front of the building, Gavin found himself in a very large room. Said room had a floor made of dirt and several egg basins made of hardened clay. A couple anthros were sitting on an egg basin and stared at Gavin with interest as they passed through. A large wooden box full of ferns sat on one side, while a large pipe organ sat in a corner, with large pedals on it, presumably so that dinosaurs could play it.

'How interesting,' Gavin thought as he looked around the room before they reached the next doorway.

When they stepped through the next open doorway, he saw that the next room was of a decent size, with large wooden chairs, couches, and a couple beds that had green cushioning sitting in the room. A doorway led outside in one wall, while several tall windows sat in the other wall. 'Huh, wonder what this room's for?' He thought as he looked at it with intrigue. 'A sitting room maybe?' His attention was then caught by Maria, who pointed at the archway up ahead and motioned for him to stay quiet. 'Why do I need to be quiet?' He continued with confusion as they stepped through the next doorway, which had a sign above it that had what looked like three-toed footprints on it.

When they entered the next room, his eyes widened, and he felt heat and humidity hit his body. 'Oh. My. Kami!' He thought as he stared at the room. Said room was not extremely large, and had a large fireplace against one wall, with a fire burning in the bottom in a large stone compartment. Sitting on top of the stone compartment was a large basin of water. Four large tables sat in the room, and had soft straw and ferns in them. Sitting in the tables were dinosaur eggs, with each one having a number in front of it. A few eggs sat in a wooden wheelbarrow nearby as well, with warm coals below them keeping them warm. 'It's a nursery!'

Watching over some of the eggs were anthro Oviraptors, who were covered in feathers plus the clothes they were wearing, which looked almost exactly like the outfit the female Protoceratops had been wearing, except theirs were a grayish-brown color. The male's outfits consisted of a brown top that was sleeveless and went down to their waist, while a dark brown loincloth hung from their waist and connected to two somewhat thin pieces of fabric that went around their tails, hiding their junk.

As they slowly walked through the room, trying to be as quiet as possible, Gavin noticed that all the Oviraptors were staring at him intently, which unnerved him a bit. 'Why are they all staring at me?' He thought with confusion. 'I'm not that interesting.'

Soon, they reached the other side of the room and stepped through a doorway into a hallway. They followed the hallway for a bit before it ended at a large room that must have been the kitchen. It was quite large, with a very large fire pit on one side, along with multiple wooden cabinets and countertops. More of those three-toed footprints could be seen on the mantle. A very large dining room table sat near the fire pit with several wooden chairs around it, while a sauropod puppet hung from the ceiling next to a carved Triceratops head and a few carved images and paintings.

Maria led him over to the table and had him sit down, before she walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a small round loaf bread that she then brought over to him and gestured for him to eat it.

"Um, thank you," He replied with a smile before he picked up the loaf and took a bite. "Mmm," he hummed happily as he chewed on the bite of loaf. 'This is really good,' He thought as he took another bite and another, soon finishing up the loaf. "That was good, Miss Maria," he said to the woman. "Thank you for the loaf."

Maria smiled at that, and nodded, before she gestured for him to follow her again, prompting him to get up and do so, still carrying his things. She led him over to a set of stairs and up them, soon arriving at another large room that had several large nest-shaped beds in it, with each bed having a large curtain next to it for privacy. She then led him over to a nearby bed and pointed at it while saying, "Yoers."

"Um, thank you," Gavin said again, before he set his bags down, which were practically dry at this point. "That's very kind of you," he continued, before the saltwater smell on his clothes hit his nose. "Do you happen to have a place where I can bathe?" He asked them. "I'm sure I don't smell good," He said with some embarrassment."

"Yeis, we haive a playce," Jack replied. "I wheil tayke you thear."

"Thank you, sir," Gavin said to him with a smile, before he bent down and unzipped a suitcase. "Let me just grab a fresh change of clothes," he continued, while they watched him rummage through the suitcase with interest and surprise.

After a couple minutes, he had found a fresh change of clothes and a paper bag as well, and set the fresh clothes in them, before he turned to the two adults after closing the suitcase and setting it to the side with the other one and his backpack. "Alright, I'm ready to go."

"Fallough me," Jack said to him, before he headed over to the stairs and started to go down them, prompting Gavin to hurry after him.

After they reached the bottom of the stairs, Jack led Gavin out a nearby doorway and over to a nearby river and a large hut that was about ten minutes away. The hut had an open doorway, a large door hanging open and a very tall wooden fence one either side that was curved.

"So, this where you bathe?" He asked Jack, who nodded. "Alright, so I just go in and wash myself?" He asked.

"Yeis. Theaire is soume soawp in a smawl cheist inside to yuse," Jack told him. "Aind a couwple towells."

"Thanks for letting me know," Gavin replied, before he headed into the hut, which had several hooks on the walls, presumably to hang people's clothes as they bathed. He then shut the door and started to take off his wet clothes, minus his necklace, as he always kept that on. 'Sweet fucking Kami! This is ridiculous!' He thought to himself as he pulled off his shoes and set them to the side, before tossing his socks, shorts, and underwear in the paper bag, having pulled out his dry clothes and hung them on the hooks above his shoes, making sure that his underwear was hidden from view. 'I'm on an island with fucking anthro dinosaurs and humans! How the fuck has this place not been found yet?!' "It doesn't make sense," he muttered to himself as he pulled off his shirt and grabbed a nearby towel, which was handwoven from a sturdy and soft material, before he headed over to the small chest and opened it. Inside he saw several handmade soaps and shampoos. 'Hmmm, which one to pick?' he thought before he picked one up and sniffed it. The scent of aloe vera then hit his nose. "Eh, not this time," He said as he set another one down and picked up another one to sniff. The next one smelled like coconut, which prompted him to shrug. "I'll use it," he continued as he shut the chest and headed over to the back door.

When he opened it, he saw that the fence was surrounding a somewhat small cove that was attached to the river. Large stone steps were carved into the bank, leading from the door down to a small bank that ran along one side of the cove, with a thick wooden railing running alongside it.

"Wow," he said with a bit of surprise. "This is pretty," He continued before he headed down the steps to the beach and set the towel on a wooden rack that was nearby. He then placed a foot in the water, and shivered a bit, as the water was a bit cold.

As he walked into the water, he shivered even more as the water went further and further up his body, before stopping when it reached his waist. He then started to wash himself with the soap. "It really doesn't make sense," Gavin continued, muttering to himself as he scrubbed his arms and legs. "I mean, we have satellites. This place should have been discovered at least ten years ago. So why is it that no one knows about this place?" He questioned. He continued to ponder over this and the fact that dinosaurs were still alive and anthros on this island as he washed himself clean, before he dove underwater once more to make sure he had washed off the soap.

Once he was certain, he walked out of the water and grabbed the towel, before he started to dry himself as he walked up the steps to the hut. As he walked into the hut, he grabbed his clean shirt, which was light blue in color, and put it on, before he dried off his crotch and legs.

A few minutes later, he was completely dressed, and he put the wet towel in the paper bag with his dirty clothes and the soap back in the chest, before he headed to the front door and opened it.

There, he saw that Jack was waiting for him. "Sorry for making you wait for me," he said to the man as he walked over to him.

"It eis nou prowblem," Jack replied, before he gestured for Gavin to follow him back to the building.

Soon, they had arrived and headed back upstairs, with Gavin feeling rather tired from all the shocks and discoveries he'd made, as well as the fact he'd crash landed in the ocean during a typhoon. Once they were upstairs, he saw that Maria had fluffed the blankets and cushions on the bed, and he hurried over to the bed. He then took off his shoes and set them to the side with the paper bag of dirty clothes, before he got into the bed and yawned.

"Reist nouw young wone," Maria said to him as she put a yellow and white blanket over him. "Youw are sayfe now."

"Thank you," Gavin replied, before he yawned again and closed his eyes.

Soon, he was fast asleep, and Maria turned to her husband with a somewhat excited look on her face, before gesturing for him to follow her. They then left the room, with her carrying Gavin's bag of dirty clothes.

Well, this was an interesting chapter!

Can't wait to write more!

From now on, whenever a Dinotopian speaks, it will be in good English. But do know they are actually speaking English with blended accents and words.

So, I have some bad news for my readers. You use, I am graduating this semester, and will be moving back to live with my parents. I'll be living with them while taking some more core courses and then applying to grad school, and hopefully then I can move out of their house, but I can't say for certain. So, I will be going on a very long hiatus. NOT A PERMANENT ONE. It'll probably be a couple of years before I return to this site or the other sites I'm on. I won't abandon my stories, or you guys. I WON'T BE GONE THOUGH, UNTIL MID-MAY!
