I jolt awake. I feel something warm under me. I look down, it's Grant. I notice him jolt awake as well. We pull away from each other. It look like we both fell asleep while talking. We must have cuddled up to each other while sleeping.
"Sorry" I tell him, while getting up off the bed, to head back to my room. I can feel my cheeks start to heat up.
"It's fine," he says, brushing it off.
I leave to go back to my room. I close my door behind me and slide down the door, sitting on the floor. I just fell asleep on Grant Ward. The man who I have been dreaming about since I was a child. I have been watching my future unfold before my eye's. It's nice to see, the future in real life. It has been a lot of watching the future pass me by, for years. I am so glad to actually be living it now. I actually see myself a part of the future and not just witnessing it. I smile to myself. I quickly change back into my clothes from yesterday. I leave my room and hear someone hitting a punching bag. I head to the balcony over the gym and look down. I can see May training Skye. Skye is the one hitting the bag. I look around the room and see Grant doing pull ups. He looks up at me, almost like he felt my gaze. I guess that would be what makes him a good agent.
I head down to him, thinking we are going to train. He comes over to me. "First thing we are going to do is get you some stuff to wear, you need something to wear to train in, before we start training," he tells me.
We get into the blacked-out SUV. He turns to me and hands me my sunglasses. I put them on, and we drive down to a large building. From what I have heard this is a mall. I have never actually been to one. I look around nervously.
"What's the matter?" he asks me.
"I have never been to a mall." I tell him.
"It will be fine. You will be just fine." He reassures me.
We get out of the SUV and head into the mall. There are do many people and stores. We head into the first store, and I start to touch everything around me. There are so many different things to feel. Grant just follows me. I feel like he is just letting me experience all the new things. I start to pick out a few things that I have seen myself wearing.
"You will need about eight different everyday outfits. Get three nicer outfits for undercover work and eight workout outfits." Grant explains to me quietly.
"Do you need a fitting room?" the associate walks up to us and asks.
"No," I tell her.
I saw my sizes and start to get some outfits. I have a more sport lounge style. I grab some nice dresses as well. I stay away from the clothes that I hear people call Jeans. I don't like the way those feel. They feel rough on my fingers as I am touching them. We walk into a gym store. I pick out workout clothes. I love these clothes. Grant just keeps following me around holding my bags.
"I'm going to go sit over there." Grant says, as he points towards a bench with men on it. I am walking towards a store called, Victoria Secret. I look towards him and see a look of discomfort cross his face.
"Alright, I will join you after." I tell him.
He hands me a card. "This will pay for everything."
He goes to sit down and I walk into the store.
"Hello, is there anything that brings you into the store?" the associate asks.
"No." I tell her quietly.
I am so nervous to me by myself. I start to look around for bras and panties. I start to pick out some out, that I have seen myself wearing. I look at my hands and see that I am shaking. I really don't like shopping, alone. Associates keep coming up to me asking if I need help. It is starting to bother me. I keep looking around grabbing the stuff I need. I walk up to pay. I quickly watch the future to see how I pay for my stuff. I don't want to attract unnecessary attention. I quickly cash out. I then quickly walk out of the store to Grant. I am almost running up to him, with my bags in hand.
He quickly looks around scanning the area "You okay?"
"Yeah, I am. I just don't like to be here alone." I tell him.
"Alright, well you have everything you need. We can leave now." He tells me. I smile at him, happy to leave here.
We walk to the exit. I see someone that I saw a vision of a long time ago. I stop the guy. "It will get better." I tell him "You will see your wife again, just keep the route you are going. Don't give up." He looks at me weirdly.
I just take Grants hand and we walk out the door.
"What was that?" He asks me.
"I was trying to help him. I was trying to give him hope that things will get better. I saw a vision of him a few nights ago. I saw that if I didn't say anything he was going to give up. I saw that his wife was going to be very upset, because he gave up on her and his kids. I saw that the kids weren't going to turn out well. The future is like a tower of blocks if you move one, they either all fall down, or get moved with the stack." I explain to him "Anything I do or say can change things, but also everything I don't do or say changes things. I have to look at that and weigh what it is worth."
We walk to the SUV and get in. I can tell he is lost in thought. I do hope he is thinking about what I said. We drive back to the 'bus'.
