Seeking Warmth
It had been particularly cold the last few days in Enchancia, and this morning was no exception. The sun shone weakly in the sky, unable to shed much warmth on the icy, snow–covered world below.
Sofia awoke to the sensation of soft lips kissing her cheek. "Cedric…" she murmured, a sleepy smile crossing her face as she blinked her eyes open to find her husband, propped up on one elbow, watching her. He wore thick pajamas–as did she–that were barely visible under the multi layer of blankets on their bed. His hair was slightly torched from the night, which made her heart skip a beat. Even with messy hair, Cedric was handsome.
The sorcerer smiled tenderly, reaching over to brush a few auburn curls from her face. "Did I ever tell you how beautiful you are when you're asleep?"
She blushed and giggled. "Once or twice. Did I ever tell you how handsome you are with messy hair?" She grinned and reached up to ruffle his hair, messing it up even more.
He rolled his eyes and gently grasped her hand, lowering it to his lips and kissing it.
Sofia hummed softly, loving the feel of his lips on her skin. "Is it time to get up?" she asked.
"You can stay in bed, but I must get to work soon." He leaned down to kiss her cheek again before releasing her hand and sitting up. He stretched and pushed the covers away, getting out of bed and ambling toward their closet. He didn't get far before he turned around, rushed back to the bed, and practically dived back under the warm blankets. "O–On s–second thoughts, I think I'll j–just s–stay h–here," he said through chattering teeth. "M–Merlin's Mushrooms! It's c–c–c–cold!"
Sofia laughed softly as her husband snuggled closer to her, seeking more warmth. "Oh, Cedric..." She wrapped her arms around him and pulled his shivering body to her. She smiled when he sighed contentedly and nestled his head next to hers. She kissed the tip of his nose. "Don't worry. I'll keep you warm."
The two of them were soon asleep again, snuggly warm under their many blankets.
A/N: This story is kind of silly, but I think it goes well with the Snuggle prompt. Cedfia snuggles are always good!
