We walk over to his light blue truck, and he helps me in. He gets in the other side.

"Would now be a bad time to tell you I have never been in one of these?" I ask him, He looks over to me shocked after he starts the truck.

"Like in a truck?" He asks back.

"No, in a vehicle of almost any sort. I've taken a train and obviously an airplane but that is all." I tell him. even though me taking a tin can in the sky is a lie. He hopefully won't catch that.

"How do you get anywhere?" He asks me as we drive to the restaurant I assume. I grab my seat tightly. Even with this seat belt on I don't fully trust it.

"I would walk." I reply, "Everywhere I need is within walking distances of my house."

"That's crazy, growing up on a farm I was driving a tractor by age 12." Clark tells me.

"Really?" I say stunned. "They let children drive these things?"

"Not trucks, vehicles on the farm, not on the roads." He tells me. He keeps glancing at me as we talk.

"Oh," I say.

"You've never seen one, have you?" He asks.

"No, I can't say I have." I tell him.

"Next time you're at the farm I will show you one," he tells me. We pull into the parking lot in front of a dinner. "I didn't want to take us too far, but I also didn't want us to go to the only restaurant in town. And now knowing you haven't been in a car you probably haven't been here." He gets out of the truck and walks around. He gets my door for me.

"You are correct in your assumption." I tell him as he holds his hand out for me to take, helping me out.

We walk into the diner. It doesn't look too busy. It reminds me a lot of the pictures of restaurants I saw when I was studying the muggle world. It has a line of booths in a U shape along the windows, then a long countertop on the other side with stools run along the length of it.

"Let's take a seat," Clark tells me.

Seems like it is like the diner in Smallville. No one to seat you. I follow Clark and sit across from him. A waitress brings our menu's. I quickly look and decide on a salad. I have had a few burgers. Bagel makes amazing burgers. So, I know I don't want to try them here. I don't think they would taste as good.

"Do you know what you want?" Clark asks

"Yeah, I'll have a Caesar Salad. You?" I ask

"I'll get the house burger. It's what I usually get." He tells me. "The milk shakes here are really good. You should get one."

"I will have to then," I say looking for them on the menu.

"Hello, what can I get you two today?" The waitress says as she walks up.

Clark looks as me to start. "I'll have the Caesar salad and vanilla milkshake, please."

"I'll have the house burger and chocolate milkshake, please." Clark tells the woman. The waitress writes down our orders in her notebook, takes our menus and walks away.

"So, what brought you to Smallville all the way from England?" Clark asks

"Oh, that's a loaded question." I reply.

"Not running from the law, are you?" he asks with a smile.

"No," I say laughing. "I grew up in a tight knit community. My family was and still is very well known and very rich. My family used to believe in inbreeding. I think that's what lead to the insanity at first." I explain. "We had quite a few scandals that came to light. While if on my own I could deal with it with ease, but the boys they shouldn't have to."

"Ahh," he says. "Your family was an old aristocrat."

"Still is." I tell him. "While we may have fallen from the place we once were. We are still respected by many and feared by even more." I tell him. our milkshakes come and I take a sip. "You were right there are fantastic."

"They definitely are." He says smiling at me then taking a sip of his.

"What brings you back to Smallville?" I ask.

"You haven't heard the rumors?" He asks in return.

"I have. I just have learned that well there is some truth rarely is it the whole truth," I tell him.

"My wife died when the boys were born. We were doing alright on our own, but with my mom getting older I knew she would need help running the farm. She was also telling me she wanted to see her grandsons more often." He explains.

"That's completely understandable." I tell him. "That is much tamer then the rumors." We both laugh. Our food arrives and we start to eat.

"How did you get Theo and Draco?" He asks.

"Their parents were a part of a terrorist organization. My family was good friends with theirs. So, when they got arrested, I offered to take them. That was the other reason I came here. To protect then from the fall out of that."

"I can understand that. Were the boys hurt at all?" Clark asks concerned.

"Theo more so then Draco, but we have been working through that both boys have come a long way since then." I tell him. I'm guessing Jonathan hates it here."

"No, not hate. Couple of days ago he got a call from his girlfriend, breaking up with him. he could hear she was at a party." He explains "I did talk with him telling him to fix the attitude."

"Don't worry about it. Break ups suck, especially at that age." I tell him.

"Have a bad break up at that age?" He questions.

"No, not me, but I did see countless breakups." I tell him. "I'm only two years younger than my oldest brother. So, I never had the opportunity with them always watching." I chuckle thinking about the chaos they caused to guys who had a crush on me.

"What about when they graduated?"

"By then I was focused on my studies and the family business. I wanted to change our family image."

"How did that succeed?"

"Well, I think we see how well that went. I am hiding in America." I tell him. we both laugh. We finish up our meals. The waitress comes back.

"Any dessert for you two today?" She asks

"Sure, we will split a slice of chocolate cake." Clark orders. She walks away.

"What makes you think I like chocolate cake?" I bug Clark.

"Everyone like chocolate cake." He says in mock offence. We both chuckle. The waitress comes back fast with our slice of cake and two forks. We both take a bit. I close my eyes as I taste it, moaning. I open my eyes to look at Clark to see his thoughts. I notice his pupils blown.

"You like it, I take it." He says, his voice a little rougher.

"Yes, I do. It's been a while since I've had chocolate." I tell him.

"Really?" He asks

"Yeah, with the boys I try to keep sweets to a minimum." I tell him. "Even with their love of football." I chuckle.

"They like football?" He asks surprised. "You should have mentioned it earlier." I burst out laughing.

"I believe you and I are talking about two different sports. I believe you are talking about American football." I tell him.

"Yeah, isn't that what we are talking about?" He asks confused.

"I'm talking about what you would call soccer." I explain.

"That's right over on the other side of the pond you call soccer football." He says looking illuminated.

"That is correct." I tell confirm.

"Do they like playing American football?" He asks.

"I wouldn't know. They like to watch it, but I'm a little overprotective. I don't want them to get hurt playing." I tell him.

Even though I know Draco will play Quidditch and that is much more dangerous. I know Theo probably won't play. He only plays football because Draco does. Well, that's how he got started anyway. I can see now Theo loves football, but Draco is becoming bored with it. he is used to something like Quidditch, maybe American football is something Draco needs.

"Raine?" Clark says.

"Yeah." I reply.

"Where'd you go?" He asks as the waitress comes back handing him the bill.

"Sorry, I was thinking about possibly starting Draco in American football or having someone teach him how to play. I think he will like it." I explain.

"What about Theo?" He asks.

"Theo doesn't like a lot of contact. He would have a hard time with that aspect which will lead to him disliking the game. He enjoys watching, but I think playing would be a little hard for him."

"Alright." He says. "If you want Jonathan can teach Draco some football."

"I think Draco would love that." I say smiling. He goes up to the counter and pays. Then he comes back. I stand and he takes my hand leading me to the truck. It's dark out and you can see the stars. I look up.

"Whacha looking at?" He asks looking up.

"The stars. My oldest brother is named after the dog constellation, Sirius and then of course there is Regulus, my other brother. My family line had a habit of naming boys after starts and constellations" I explain.

"That's really cool," he tells me helping me into the truck. He hops in the other side and takes my hand again. Holding it tight. "I noticed you were scared on the ride out. thought if you had my hand to hold that might help ease the fear."

"Thank you." I say happily smiling at me.

We drive back to my house in a comfortable silence. Seems to take up no time at all. He pulls in and parks his car. The house is quiet. We walk in quietly. I see a lamp on in the living room. I head there knowing Remus is probably in there. I see him sitting there on the lazy boy reading a book. I clear my throat to announce our presence. I know he knows we are here due to our heart beats, but I'm doing it more for Clark's benefit.

"How was your date?" Remus asks.

"Good, how were the boys?" I ask in return.

"Little angels," he says with a smile.

"No really, how was Draco?" I ask seriously now.

"We almost had a melt down, but Jonathan was able to help avoid it." Remus explains.

"Really? Jonathan?" Clark asks

"Yes, really, have some faith in your boy. Him and Draco seem to have an understanding." Remus says.

"That's good to hear," I tell them.

"Well, I'm off to bed," Remus says, closing his book and making his way up the stairs. "Don't forget I have the next three days off."

"I won't, don't worry." I tell him.

"Three days off?" Clark questions.

"Yes, Remus asks for only three days off a month. He does get more sometimes. Well, most times, but he requests three off." I tell him, we walk downstairs to the theatre room and look around. We see Jonathan and Draco on one couch and Jordan and Theo on the other. The two lazy boys are empty. I imagine Remus sat in one of them.

"I can take Draco and Theo up to their rooms if you would like." Clark whispers.

"That sounds good." I whisper back. Clark picks up both boys in one arm each. Draco curls closer to him. Theo wakes up quickly in fear. I quickly walk over into his sight.

"Theo, your okay. Clark is just going to take you up to bed. Go back to sleep." I whisper running my hands down his back. Theo quickly falls back asleep. Clark goes up both flights of stairs I follow. He stops as the top of the up stairs. I quickly step ahead of him and open the boy's room door. He puts Theo down on one bed. I tuck him in while Clark puts Draco in the other. I tuck Draco in then we both leave the room quietly.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake him." Clark whispers.

"It's alright, I forgot how easy he wakes." I reply.

"I should go wake Jonathan and Jordan up, then head home." Clark tells me.

"Oh, don't worry about that you can all spend the night. No funny business, though." I tell him. he chuckles.

"Alright." Clark replies. I walk down to the kitchen, Clark follows. I gab an apple and make my way back up the stairs. We get to my room. I close the door behind us.

"Would you like something to change into?" I ask him.

"I don't think your clothes are going to fit me." He tells me. I laugh.

"I think you should fit Sirius's old clothes. I have a couple pairs of joggers of his here."

"Sure, I'll take a pair."

"Alright, give me a moment," I tell him leaving the room.

I knock on Regulus's door. I get no answer, so I slip in. I notice he isn't there. He must still be in England. I do hope he isn't stuck there. The boot should reactivate when he casts a spell on it. He does know that. I grab Sirius's joggers from Regulus's dresser. I then step out. I notice the pair is black when I walk back in my room. Clark has his top off already.

"Here you go." I say handing him the joggers. "There is a washroom through there." I point to one of the doors in my room. He goes into is and I quickly change into my own pair of joggers and a t-shirt. He comes out. Oh boy. I stop for a moment to admire his muscles and boy does he have muscles. I turn out the light and we both get in bed by moonlight.

"Why the apple on your nightstand?" He asks me. I curl up on his chest. He puts his arms around me.

"My oldest brother Sirius, used to come into my room when I was little with an apple. Him and I would both eat our apples and talk. When he went to boarding school it stopped, but I would bring an apple to bed every night. He would come home for the summer and do it all over again, telling me about school. When I went to school, he would do the same there. I think the teachers knew, but they didn't stop us. My brother ran away from home, I really struggled so Regulus suggested bringing an apple to bed again, in memory of what Sirius and I did. It kept going at school, but at home I did it myself. It just kept going when I moved out." I explained.

"Wow, that is really adorable." He says.

"Thank you," I tell him, putting my head over his heart. I fall asleep to the beating of his heart.
