We all finish up eating and Jonathan and Jordan go bring their plates to the kitchen. Draco and Theo follow their lead. Bagel looks positively delighted. Bagel and I meet eye and burst out laughing.
"What are you two laughing about?" Clark asks drinking his coffee.\
"Your boys, while their hearts are in the right place. They are creating more work for themselves. Bagel does that with magic." I hand him a Wizarding paper. He opens it.
"Holy Shit!" He yells. The boys all come running.
"Dad?" Jonathan and Jordan asks.
"The pictures are moving." Clark says.
"Duh!" Draco says. "Your pictures are weird."
"Draco, be polite." I scold.
"Sorry, Raine," he apologizes.
"Thank you," I say. "Bagel, do you think you could apparate to Regulus and check on him for me?"
"Of course, mistress," she says popping out.
"Where did she go?" Jonathan asks.
"To go find my brother. She can apparate right to him. Unlike me, I would have to get a portkey to get to England and be apparating all aver England looking for him." I say.
"Portkey? Apparate?" Jordan asks.
"Apparation is like your teleportation. You can do it over short distances, it gets tiring for us though. Portkeys are for a longer distance. You can go countries using a portkey, but it can be hard on your body." I explain.
"How come Bagel can do it?" Jonathan asks.
"Bagel is a house elf; her magic is different then ours. Her magic is not only more powerful. Her magic is also tied to the family as well. She can find people in the family she serves anywhere in the galaxy. She can also apparate to them from anywhere." I explain.
"That's so cool," Jonathan says.
"My brother, Regulus thinks so as well." I say chuckling. "He would spend hours asking Kreacher all about elf magic and rules."
"Who's Kreacher?" Jordan asks
"He's another one of the Black family elves. He wanted to stay in England. So, he looks after the house there. He was closest to Regulus," I say.
"Does Sirius have an elf?" Clark asks.
"No, his elf was supposed to be Kreacher. My parents just never got around to getting another." I say." Sirius started rebelling young. So, my parents punished him by not getting him an elf. Sirius never cared. He just used Kreacher when he needed."
"Can he do that?" Jonathan asks.
"Yes, though Sirius is considered disgraced, he is still from the house of Black. He got blasted from the tree, but not disowned." I tell him.
"The tree?" Jordan asks
"I'll show you some other time." I tell them.
"We should probably get going to check on my mom," Clark says
"Alright, Draco, Theo go get changed." I tell them. "If you want to head out now, you can. We can apparate there."
"I will go put on my shirt then we can head out," Clark said.
Clark goes upstairs with Draco and Theo. He comes down shortly after. He and his boys leave. I think they want some time to talk and touch base. I head up and change into black yoga pants and a purple top. I go downstairs and see Draco and Theo are waiting by the door with shoes on. I head to the kitchen to grab the soup and put on my running shoes. I apparate to the end of the Kent driveway with the boys. We wait there. I see the truck pull up to the driveway and pull in. We walk up the driveway behind it.
"That's so cool. You left after us, yet you beat us home." Jonathan says excitedly.
"The first time you travel apparating isn't so cool. I can promise that." I tell him chuckling.
"What is in the soup?" Clark asks.
"Just a flu potion." I tell him, "It gets rid of the flu virus inside the body,"
"That's cool," Jordan says. We walk in.
"Clark, is that you?" I hear his mom ask. She does not sound well.
"Yes, mom." Clark yells back. "I'll introduce you." He takes me to her room. "Mom, you remember Raine?"
"Of course, I do. I'm old not senile," she says. "She came into town a couple of years ago."
"Hello Martha," I tell her. "How are you?"
"Feeling sick again. I was feeling better after your soup." Martha says. "How are you and the boys?"
"We are all good."
"Boys, still playing soccer?" She asks
"Yes, Theo is enjoying it more then Draco, though." I say. "Let's get you your soup, then get you a shower and changed. That will all help you feel better."
"Alright," She agrees. I help her sit up, hand her the bowl and a spoon. She starts to eat.
"I got this you can go play with the boys." I tell Clark.
"You sure?" He asks.
"Yes, shower or bath is the next step."
"Alright," Clark says leaving.
"Now that he is gone, tell me about the date. I know my son slept over. I do hope he was a gentleman." She says while eating her soup.
"You keep eating your soup and I'll tell you about it." I tell her. She keeps eating. "He took me to the diner, the town over. We had a good conversation. We went back and all the boys were asleep. He took Draco and Theo to their beds. I offered him to sleep as my place, do he didn't have to wake Jordan and Jonathan. He was a perfect gentleman, don't worry."
"Good, I'm glad." She says. "I thought something different when he spent the night."
"Well don't you worry. He wasn't planning on staying." I say.
"That's good." She finishes the soup.
"Alright, let's get you in the shower and changed." I say helping her out of bed.
"Aren't you so sweet." Martha says. We head slowly to the washroom. I sit her down on the toilet seat and run the bath water. I check the temperature making sure it is perfect and fill the tub. I help her in and wash her up. Trying to make this go by quickly.
"Did you hear about the Davis's and their marriage?" She asks me.
"No, I haven't. I try to stay out of the gossip."
"Well, apparently, they are heard arguing constantly. Deloris thinks they are getting a divorce."
"That's unfortunate."
"You know they still talk about you as well?" She tells me.
"I'm not surprised. I do know the one of me being a prostitute."
"I have heard that one too."
"They don't care about correct, Martha. They only care about the best story." I help her out of the bath and dry her off. I put her in her robe and help her to her room. I sit her down on the edge of her bed. "Give me a second. I'm going to get you a pair of joggers from Clark. They will be better then jeans while sick." I head to find him. I find him outside with the boys throwing the football.
"Let it roll off your fingertips, Drake." Jonathan tells him. I walk over to Clark.
"Do you think I could borrow a pair of your joggers?" I ask him
"I remember girls stealing their boyfriends' clothes, but I didn't think it would happen this quickly." He says chuckling, putting his arms around me.
"It's actually for your mom." I say.
"Sure, you can just go in my room and grab them." He tells me.
He goes back to throwing the ball. I head to his room and grab the joggers out of his drawer. I head back to Martha and help her change into them and a t-shirt. I take her to the living room where we can watch the boys play. I see Clark fly up with a Boom! Well, I guess Superman is needed.
