Stellar
Bella and me went home that day from school silent. I had a feeling Bella was mad at me, she wouldn't look at me or respond to me when I ask her something. Couldn't she see I was just trying to protect her?
I sighed for the tenth time on that car ride.
At home, Charlie wasn't home yet so me and Bella just went up to our room. She immediately went on her laptop and started furiously typing. I had a sneaking suspicion that she was searching up things about vampire's. I sighed, knowing she wouldn't have listened to me no matter how much I begged her to. I wanted to talk to her, to try and reason with her but I know she won't listen to me, so I went over to her bed and sat down with her.
"What did you find?" I asked her. She looked up, startled, as if just realizing I was sitting here. She recovered and shook her head.
"Nothing useful, just stuff from books and from movies. I found some myths, but none were what I would call useful." She told me. I thought about it for a while and then took her laptop out of her hands. She gave me a look but didn't object. I went to the search bar and typed 'Little, Brown'. On this website's search bar I typed 'Vampire'. This gave me a bunch of books and where you could find them. I handed Bella her computer with a smile on my face. She looked at me surprised and I shrugged.
"When you have nothing else to do, read" I retold the little phrase me and Bella say when things like this happen. She laughed, then focused on her laptop.
I watched her scroll through endless book for a while, but I soon felt bored and stood to go downstairs. Without looking up, Bella asked,
"Where are you going? Are you ok?" She finally looked up and I shook my head.
"I think I'm getting a headache, I'll go downstairs and take an aspirin and see is that works." Worry flashed in her eyes, but it disappeared as soon as it appeared. I sighed.
"Bella, I'm fine, right now. Ask me later and I might have a different answer" I grinned and Bella laughed. "Remind me not to ask you later, then" I saluted her and walked out. I went downstairs and looked in some of the kitchen cabinets and tried to find an aspirin. I cursed under my breath when I didn't find one and rubbed my temples. I went upstairs and into the bathroom, looking in the cabinets. I sighed in relief when I found a bottle of aspirin. I got out two, got a glass of water and put the two aspirins in my mouth. Water washed it all down and I prayed to the gods above that it would start working very, very soon.
I grabbed my leather jacket and told Bella I was going outside for a little. As soon as I stepped outside, I looked around and put on my jacket. Something moving in the forest behind-and next to- our house caught my eye. I stood on my tip-toes hoping to see what caught my eye, but I still didn't see anything. I knew that I shouldn't go into the forest and see, but I did.
As I crept through the forest, my thoughts went to something similar that had happened not that long ago, I still have the marks and scars that will be there forever. All because of them.
(A/N: The next chapter will just be about Teagan's past, flashbacks, I might do a couple in Bella's POV, But that doesn't feel right. Let me know what you think)
Something ran past me very fast, all I saw was a blur of a very pale person. I gasped, my hand flying to my chest in shock. What the hell was that?
The next day at school, I was still wondering what ran past me in the forest last night. For the 5th time on the way to school, Bella gave me a worried look that I pretended not to see. She finally voiced her concerns.
"What happened when you went out front yesterday? And don't tell me nothing, because I know something did happen because you left somewhat normal and came back changed. Did someone come and speak to you? Did Jo- they come back?" I flinched at Bella's almost mistake. She winced "Sorry, really."
I didn't say anything and continued to stare out the window.
I didn't really pay much attention to any of my classes before lunch, but when lunch time came around I forced myself to stop thinking about last night.
Again, like yesterday, I went unnoticed by Bella and went to the far corner. The Cullens and the Hale's were already there, not eating the food that was in front of them. Maybe they weren't hungry? Something Bella read while I was sitting with her came to the front of my mind.
'Vampires don't eat food like humans do, they could if they wanted to, but it would taste plain or they would taste nothing at all'
I shook my head and laughed, what was I thinking? But I had to admit Bella did have a good argument. I felt someone's eyes on me and, for a reason I didn't know, my eyes landed on the table the Cullens and the Hale's. Jasper was staring at me and had a small smile on his face. I tilted my head in a silent question and he smiled, big and wide, and shook his head. I laughed and at that moment, the bell rang.
The last few classes were long, but maybe that was only because I wanted last period to come already. The 'Queen of Mean' facade that I usually have at- any- school slipped a little when I was walking to last period. The silver with a small diamond ring that would forever be on my finger was probably going to fit my finger better; I was twisting it round and round my ring finger. I didn't know why I was so nervous to talk to Jasper. I don't know why I'm nervous at all.
I walked into last period and my gaze went immediately to mine and Jasper's seat in the very back. My eyes caught his and he grinned. I gave him a grin back and went to our desk.
"Hey" Jasper said once I sat down.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing, how'd you sleep?" He asked.
I sighed, should I tell him the truth?
"I...Um, something happened a while ago and, um, I kinda have a hard time sleeping." I said without looking at Jasper.
He hooked two fingers under my chin and lifted my gaze to his. I gasped quietly.
"Do you want to tell me about it?" Jasper asked softly.
I shook my head.
"Not at school, do you have any free time after school any days?" I asked.
Jasper thought for a moment and shook his head.
"No, I'm free any day after school. But, me and my family are getting ready for a camping trip this weekend, so how about next week?" He told me.
"That's fine, It just gives me time to...to live through it again." I smiled weakly.
"You don't have to tell me, I was just asking to see if you wanted someone to talk to."
"No, I want to. I have to get over it sometime. And I can't talk to Bella, she would just feel bad for me. I don't need that." I sighed.
"I know, you won't get that from me, at least not to bad." He grinned.
Class went on with me and Jasper playing the little game we played yesterday. I stare and he catches me, and everytime he catches me, I blush. When class was over I was putting my stuff in my bag when Jasper grabbed my hand under the table and squeezed.
"Talk to you tomorrow, Teagan" He said softly in my ear. I gasped again, quietly. He was so close, and cold for that matter.
"Talk to you tomorrow, Jasper" I breathed. He gave me a smile and got up and left. I sat there for a few minutes and caught my breath.
How does he do this to me?
On the way home, I told Bella that me and Jasper are going to talk, and she seemed very happy.
"What are you so happy about?" I asked after a while.
"I'm happy that you're going to talk to someone." She beamed. I laughed at her.
A/N: So, this took me a long time to write because I had some things going on at home. I'm so sorry, I was for sure going to post yesterday but some things had happened.
Also, I'm thinking of making chapter 5 in a different POV, like from Jasper's, maybe. Tell me what you think.
