You're cute when you're mad
She's late.
Sakura can't stop pacing around the room worriedly, waiting for Saki's arrival.
She was supposed to have come back home an hour ago, and Sakura, being the worrywart she is, can't stop thinking something bad has happened to her.
What if something has happened to Saki? What if she has fell down the bicycle and got hurt god knows where? Wait, what if somebody has found out about them being zombies?
Oh God, they're dead. Well, they're already dead, but they'll be even deader if somebody found out about them…
Her pacing intensifies, her steps threatening to make a dent on the floor, before she hears the sound of keys jingling and the front door opening and closing.
- Yo! I'm back!
As soon as she hears Saki's voice, an alleviated sigh escapes her lips at the same time she almost literally flies towards the entrance.
- Where have… you… been? – she says slowly as she sees Saki's appearance.
Sakura gasps as she takes her girlfriend's appearance, spotting her usual cheeky smirk, as well as some scratches, a beaten lip and a nasty cut on her cheek, just under her eye.
- Hey! Sorry, I... um… got held up – Saki says, still smirking, now awkwardly while she scratches the back of her head.
Sakura steps closer, bringing one of her hands up to touch Saki's injured cheek carefully.
- What happened? – she asks her worriedly, examining her cut.
- Uh, nothing – Saki mumbles, grimacing at Sakura's ministrations.
- Saki-chan!
Sakura exclaims, putting her hands on her hips with a mad expression on her face, and Saki, who has never seen her mad until that moment, can't help but think she looks utterly cute.
- So? – Sakura asks her expectedly, tapping the floor with her foot as she keeps her hands on her hips waiting for Saki to answer.
Saki sighs heavily knowing she doesn't have any way out and scratches the back of her head again.
- I might've gotten in a fight.
- You what!? – Sakura exclaims, her eyes falling off the socket of her face at her surprise before she quickly catches them and puts them back in their place.
Saki wants to laugh at it but she knows better that she shouldn't.
- Listen, they deserved it.
- Saki-chan! Violence is never the answer!
- I knew ya'd say that – Saki mumbles, sighing again – Listen, it's not that big deal.
She tries to make a getaway but Sakura grabs her by the wrist to stop her, and with a strength Saki didn't know she had, takes her to the living room, obliging her to sit on the couch.
- Don't move – she commands her sternly, pointing out at the spot on the couch where she's currently sat on, before she disappears around the house.
Saki stays where Sakura has told her to, not even daring to move, enjoying the cuteness of her girlfriend being mad, although she has to admit she's also sexy when she's commanding her.
Saki absolutely loves the cute expression on her face as she knits her brows and scolds her, almost pouting angrily, emphasizing it with her tone and her hands on her hips. It's surely endearing, for a lack of a better word.
Saki is still grinning stupidly, musing about her girlfriend's cuteness being mad, when she sees her coming back with a first-aid kit in hand.
Typical of Sakura.
She thinks, rolling her eyes playfully.
- I told ya it's not a big deal Saku.
Sakura ignores her, taking the cotton and a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide out of the first-aid kit.
- Now I'm going to treat that nasty cut while you tell me exactly what happened and don't omit anything, Saki – Sakura tells her way too seriously, dropping the honorific as if she was quarreling a little kid.
- Oi, seriously, don't ya think you're over exage- Ouch! Careful, that stings! – Saki exclaims at the contact of the hydrogen peroxide with her open cut.
- Suck it up.
Saki chuckles, loving when Sakura talks like she does and puts up with the stinging as much as she can, fidgeting on the couch, gritting her teeth, while Sakura cleans and disinfects the cut.
- Saki-chan please, stop fidgeting – Sakura says as she tries to clean Saki's cut the best possible.
- But it stings!
- That's what you get for getting into fights! – Sakura says not very amused, pressing the cotton harder against her cut.
Saki grunts unamusedly, pouting and averting her eyes, trying to suck up the pain.
- I'm waiting Saki – Sakura says seriously, still disinfecting the cut.
Saki would be lying if she didn't admit she likes to see Sakura like this, it's a dangerous mixture between cute and sexy.
- Some guys were saying some shitty things about ya, so I beat them up – Saki simply says as if it was the most normal thing to do, shrugging her shoulders.
- Saki-chan! You can't go doing that! – Sakura exclaims horrified.
- But they were messing with you. Nobody messes and talks shit about my girl without consequences.
Sakura sighs, a little smile and blush forming on her face after hearing Saki's defense.
- Still, it's not okay to beat people up just because they say something bad or that you didn't like – she says softly, caressing Saki's cheek tenderly.
She wants to stay mad at Saki for doing that and maybe even had exposed them, but she really can't, even less when she sees Saki pouting at her and puffing out her cheeks, mad and not amused at all for being quarreled for doing something she thought it was right as defending her girlfriend's honor.
Sakura smiles more and shakes her head amused at her, before poking Saki's injured cheek lightly.
- Oi! That hurts!
- Serves you right! – Sakura says in between giggles, putting the things she used back into the first-aid kit – Okay, I finished. Please, don't do something like that again.
- But-
- No buts Saki-chan, even if it was to defend me.
Sakura sighs softly, leaving a little caress on Saki's cheek before standing up, but as she's about to return the first-aid kit to its place, she's stopped by a pair of strong arms surrounding her waist, pulling her down, making her fall onto Saki's lap.
- Saki-chan!
- Sakuuu, where's my kiss?
Sakura blushes furiously at Saki's words, struggling in her embrace.
- No, you did wrong!
- But Sakuraaaaa – Saki whines, dragging the last letter of her name childishly as her hold around her waist tightens, and Sakura gives up, finding her incredibly cute.
- Okay, but promise me that you won't do it again – Sakura mumbles, pouting and surrounds Saki's neck with her arms, getting lost in the way her red eyes sparkle at her gesture and Saki gives her a big happy smile.
- Yep, promise! – Saki says happily before her lips quickly capture hers in an eager but sweet kiss, and Sakura can't help but giggle in it, tightening her hold around Saki's neck as she senses Saki doing the same, tightening her hold around her waist, adjusting her better on her lap at the same time as deepening the kiss.
She really can't stay mad at her.
