Hey, guys! Been quite a while since I-
"Where the hell have you been?" Walker looks at his laptop and sees Watcher looking at him with annoyance, not happy with being stuck in time due to an incompetent author.
"How the hell are you talking to me?" Walker asked as he looked at his character, pretty sure that he didn't give him that kind of ability.
"You gave me vision that allows me to see between universes remember? That includes getting glimpses of you beyond the fourth wall. Now, where have you been? No doubt playing Retro shooters and mods in your slow laptop, as always." Watcher said as Walker raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, FYI I've been doing practice for the last six weeks and been busy in the other three. I couldn't write any chapters because my practice along with everything else, like a national tradition, took priority. I still have a life you know?"
"Yeah, life that you will probably waste being a mediocre teacher. Meanwhile, I'm stuck here unable to move until you write another chapter to this barely above average, unoriginal, boring fanfic." Watcher said, crossing his arms, while RWBY and NPR stood frozen in time.
"Okay, first off, that hurts, second, sorry that I have a life. I still need ideas to continue the fanfic and it doesn't help that I had a lot to do in the last nine weeks. Give me a break will ya?" Watcher tilted his head at his author.
"Didn't you say that you have a plan concerning mine and Reaper's identities and all the other shit? Where did all of that go?"
"I still have that plan, it's just-Look, I'm doing all that I can, okay? It's not easy looking up good worlds for teams to watch not to mention what kind of reactions they will have. I'm still trying to think of the future, my own and this fanfic's." Watcher groaned in frustration.
"Well, your ideas suck. I mean look at this for example," He pulled out a note from…somewhere.
"The room makes people feel different? Pyrrha being told that she is not a good teacher? R is Reaper but at the same time, she is not? And her real identity is-? And I'm actually-? What the hell is this shit? Do you seriously think that people will like this?" Watcher asked as Walker made him punch himself before taking the note back.
"Look, just trust me okay? I will do all that I can to make this as good as possible. Have some faith." Walker told his character who scoffed before sighing.
"Fine, but you better not screw this up. I don't want to end up like 'Enough' okay?" Watcher said as he pointed at his author.
"Don't worry. I will make sure that will never happen. Now go back to your fortress. We still have a reaction to do and probably more if we are lucky."
"Ugh, I don't want to trust you, but it's not like I have a choice. Fine, I will go back." Watcher said as he went back to the fanfic, "By the way, you suck and I hate you." Watcher said as he turned to look at his author.
"Love you too Watcher." Walker said as he began to write the new chapter while the being went to his fortress.
You already know the disclaimer.
Chapter 10: Into Hell (Helltaker)
Remnant 583.
In an alternate world of Remnant, everything lay dead.
The corpses of Huntsmen and Huntresses strewn about in the ruins of Beacon, the former school turned into an eternal Aura machine, with the mechanism within it still working even as everything around it was dead.
Standing on the entrance to Beacon, with her foot on her opponent's chest, stood R. The being cracked her knuckles as she looked down at the corrupted form of the one who led this world Remnant to ruination.
"Not so fun when you are at the receiving end isn't it?" R asked, a grin on her face as her enemy looked at her. His skin is deathly pale, black veins present on his cheeks and his red eyes looked at her with hate. His limbs are torn with only his right hand remaining as he tried to get her foot off of him.
"You know, I didn't think you would fall so far Cardin." R said as she looked at the corpses of the corrupted Huntsmen and Huntresses around her, "Seriously? Were you really that much of an asshole that you decided to go to the Immortal Bitch of all people to get revenge on Nikos?"
Cardin growled at her, his hand still around her ankle, wondering why his powers weren't working on her.
"Surprised?" She asked as she knelt down to look at his face, "My own power prevents me from falling under your mind control but even then you would not like it if you tried to put me under it. The other two in my head would make you BEG for death." She informed him pointing at her head before standing up and putting a glowing hand on his face.
Cardin looked confused for a second, before his eyes widened and he opened his mouth to scream…except nothing but silence came out and his eyes turned blank. R removed her hand from his face and watched as he dissolved into nothing.
"Serves you right." Her eyes briefly turned red before she shook her head and went to look for the Aura machine. Along her way, she spotted a corrupted Pyrrha leaning on a wall with a piece of metal stuck in her chest. She looked at R and glared at her while R's smug grin turned to a frown and her eyes turned grey.
'Not now.' she walked for another five minutes before she finally found the Aura machine. It was a giant sphere connected to tubes and spikes on the walls with Grimm essence holding it in place.
"Let's see what these guys have been using to get an edge in this war." R muttered as she gripped the metal, bending it.
"Open sesame!" She shouted with a grin as she effortlessly tore the outer metal off and looked inside to see the source.
Her grin slowly turned into a frown as her normally bluish silver eyes turned grey as she beheld the sight in front of her…
Back in Watcher's Fortress.
'Man, am I glad that I'm immune to this place's influence.' Watcher thought as he looked at the teams. All seven stopped fighting and simply looked through an album of cute doggies and kitties. Some made 'aws' or 'ohs' as they looked through them.
"Oh, Look at this one! HE is so cute!" Ruby said, pointing at a picture of a wolf pup, her partner giggling as she looked at it.
"Aw, and look at these kitties! Oh, their twitching ears are so adorable!" Nora squealed as she sat next to Ren who had to admit, the pictures and animations were cute.
"Come on Blake. Let us just-"
"For the last time, I'm not letting any of you touch my ears." The faunus said as she sat with crossed arms and a scowl on her face.
"Alright that's enough." Watcher waved his hand as the album shot out and went to him. He ignored the pouts from Ruby, Nora and Weiss before teleporting the album away.
"Aw come on! We were just getting to the good part!" Nora told him and he sighed at her pout.
"Well sorry, but we need to continue with our world watching. That and I feel that you won't be safe here." He said as he went to look for another world for them to watch. Hopefully, not too gruesome.
"You know, with all those worlds we watched, it makes you wonder something." Yang said as Ruby looked at her.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, what are the chances that we would survive in those kinds of conditions? I mean, most of us would probably be okay after fighting a Yautja or the Thing and we will definitely survive that stupid shark but I still wonder: how we would fare against Kaiju, Necromorphs, Servants or that warzone that our Jaune has been in? Would we have better luck or would do worse than him?" The teams looked surprised, as they never really considered that.
"Well, against Yautja we would definitely come out alive even against its weapons. The Thing would probably not be a trouble for us but the others are complicated, but I would say our chances are greater than his." Blake replied with the others agreeing with her.
"I gotta agree with her. I'm not saying our leader is bad or anything but we would probably have better results than him." Nora quickly said, afraid of Pyrrha's reaction. To her surprise, the redhead seemed deep in thought as she looked at the cards.
"I don't think we would Nora." She said as she recalled the circumstances.
"Why not? Don't tell me you are willing to defend him so much that you would undermine us and overestimate him? I get that you like him Pyrrha but maybe you should take Watcher's advice?" Weiss suggested as Pyrrha shook her head.
"I'm not doing any of that. I'm saying that we shouldn't overestimate ourselves. We've never been in those kinds of situations, so how do you know if you have a good chance or not?" She said, slightly irritated at the accusation.
"She's kinda right you know." Watcher said as he stood beside them, "Your abilities are great but the only reason you think you would survive is because you have all the necessary info that you need, something those in other worlds didn't. Besides, even if you did go to those worlds, whether alone or in a team, you wouldn't really have good results." He said while holding a card.
"Why is that? We work pretty well as a team, if you remove the world with the shark, the one with revelations and the Kaiju one, we have pretty good chances." Yang confidently said. Watcher though, held up a hand and lifted up his index finger.
"A single Yautja killed a team of full grown, physically fit, specially trained elite men on its own, your Aura won't do much against its plasma blasts and other gadgets. Plus, it has an element of surprise on its side and the jungles that it would hunt you in would cause your mecha-shift weapons to jam with all the dirt and insects, not to mention other hostile lifeforms that will distract you while it hunts you. I'm not even going to mention the fact that you need space to do all your team attacks, something that the jungle doesn't have and it will use any advantage that it has to kill you." The four had wide eyes as they realized their actual chances. Watcher lifted another finger.
"The Thing can assimilate one of you or one of the people with you when your guard is down and take you all out one by one because of your trust to each other. Two of you would have a mental breakdown if one of you were assimilated, one of you usually rushes to attack without thinking and another can get paranoid really quickly." RWBY realized what he meant as he lifted another finger.
"The Necromorphs are dead people brought back to life who can take extremely disturbing forms that will leave you shaken, not to mention the fact that Ishimura is full of tight narrow corridors in which you need to make sure you don't damage the hull or you will be sucked out into space. One of you has a fighting style focused more on punching and rushing into attack, which can leave them open to ambush, one of you would be nearly useless with the sheer size of her weapon and another relies too much on her Dust and Semblance so that when she runs out of both, she would be vulnerable. The biggest factor is that everything will be dark and you won't even know what to do to escape the ship or where you are supposed to go. Finally, there is the Signal of the alien object which will…well let's just say that it isn't pretty. Admittedly, you would have more chances in this situation than you do previous ones but you still have problems." He lifted up his pinky finger.
"Servants are more powerful than you think. If one of the Servants, for example Mordred, would go against a powerful Huntsman like Qrow Branwen, more often than not, even if she were to use only fourth of her power and Qrow went all out, she would come out victorious, especially given her Noble Phantasms. Other Servants also focus on one aspect over others but the important thing is that you wouldn't really win against Servants even if you were to fight at your best. You COULD win but the chances of that are very slim." They stood shocked at the sheer strength that the Servants possessed as Watcher held up his last finger.
"Finally, the warzone. Admittedly, here is where things get complicated." He admitted, as NPR looked confused.
"What do you mean? Wouldn't bullets pierce Aura and ruin our chances?" Ren asked as Watcher shook his head.
"I thought so too and I do believe that Earth bullets can pierce Aura with enough firepower but I believe I was wrong when I made that assessment the first time. See, I was under the impression that Jaune received no negative backlash from travelling through a portal with nothing to protect him, it turns out I was wrong. When Jaune appeared in that world, it is possible that the energy of the portal that he appeared out of affected his Aura, significantly weakening it. It is probably what activated his Semblance halfway through but it is possible his trip through it made it weaker which is why bullets destroyed his previous armor even though Aura should have protected it. When he subconsciously used his Aura he may have temporarily returned it to its former strength but I can't say for certain." He explained while showing a graph of Jaune's Aura in Beacon and one where he was in the warzone.
"So what does that mean for us?" Ren asked as Watcher sighed.
"Here is the thing: I'm not sure. You could survive the warzone as long as you don't try to rush into battles and make everyone your enemy. Although…there is another horrifying possibility that I didn't take into account."
"And that is?" Ruby wondered what it might be.
"Your Aura may not even work outside of your universe, it may only work within your universe but outside, it is possible it will not even protect you. You would be stuck in a warzone with nothing but your clothes to protect you from bullets, shrapnel and explosions, not even a Semblance to save you. You would not survive no matter how much teamwork you have." The seven stood in shocked horror at that possibility before Pyrrha thought on his words further.
"Wait, if that's true then how did Jaune still have his Aura? Why would we lose Aura if he had it in that world?"
"Do you remember how I said that the portal may have weakened his Aura?" They nodded at him, "Well, there is a possibility that I'm wrong. The portal may have actually boosted his Aura or it allowed him to use Aura at a weaker state even though he shouldn't be able to. This means that had he not breached the portal when Displacer teleported all of you…he would have been dead from the first bullet that the Russian shot at him. And if the second possibility is true to all universes he goes through…then he may have even worse problems than we initially thought." NPR's eyes widened as they grew worried for their leader. Ruby did as well as Watcher stroked his chin.
"This is still a possibility, let's not jump into conclusions. We still have worlds to watch, so at least try to calm down." They nodded albeit reluctantly while Watcher pulled out a red card.
"This one will be interesting, because this time, almost all of you will get a spotlight." He said, pointing at the girls, surprising them.
"Really? We get a spotlight?" Weiss asked, a bit skeptical.
"Yeah, though be prepared for a surprise." He told them as they went to their seats while he threw the card at the screen. The lights dimmed as the seven prepared snacks and waited to see what would happen.
He did it.
He actually did it.
He never thought it would happen but it did.
He gazed at the gates before him, their hellish design coupled with the skulls around it, fire blazing next to several corpses.
He stood before the Gates of Hell.
Weiss spat out her drink as she heard that.
"I'm sorry, did I hear that correctly? Did he just say 'Gates of Hell?!" She shouted at Watcher who nodded.
"This one is kinda unique and you will see why."
"Wait, so if he is before these Gates, does that mean that he died?" Ren asked which Watcher shook his head.
"No."
What drove him to do this? He did not die nor did he wish to in the near future, so what caused him to get here? At the place where only the most rotten of souls go to?
It was simple.
Three days ago, Jaune Arc had a dream. A dream that he will never forget no matter how hard he will try. A dream that he swore to accomplish.
What is this dream that might drive a man to Hell?
"What kind of dream would he have to go to Hell?" Pyrrha asked, confused about it.
"Must be one hell of a dream though if he is going to Hell to achieve it." Yang commented, amused by the situation.
"You do realize what lives in Hell right?" Blake asked as they turned to her, "Demons, he might be going to Hell to strike a deal for world domination or worse." Blake read enough books to know how this would end.
It's simple.
It is a dream…where he had a harem of girls!
The entire room was silent, the sound of a cricket making its noise being the only thing out of ordinary…until Nora crushed it.
"He wants to go to Hell…for a harem?" Weiss asked with her left eye twitching at the sheer STUPIDITY of his quest.
"Man and they call ME crazy! Jaune-Jaune just made me look SANE in comparison!" Nora said, dumbfounded by the revelation.
"Figures. No sane man would deny himself a harem." Yang said, eating popcorn.
But not just any harem, no. Jaune wanted a different kind.
A harem of DEMON girls!
Yang spat out her popcorn.
Pyrrha dropped her sandwich.
Weiss spat her tea out.
Ruby choked on her cookies.
Nora let out a loud "WHAT?"
Blake banged her head on the armrest multiple times at the absurdity of it all.
And Ren sniffed his tea before putting it away.
"Demon girls?! What is he thinking?! How would he even know if Hell has demon girls!" Weiss shouted, no longer able to believe the absurdity of his dream.
"He must be crazier than I thought if he wanted to go that far." Blake said, her forehead bleeding from the amount of times she hit herself. Fortunately, her wound healed thanks to Aura as Watcher chuckled.
"I did say be prepared."
Was it the most ridiculous idea in the world?
Yes.
Was it going to stop him?
FUCK. NO!
He will get his demon harem and he won't stop until he gets them all!
After all, if an Arc swears to accomplish something, an Arc WILL do it!
And no way was he going to back out of this!
"You gotta admire his tenacity though. I mean, damn!" Yang said, chuckling at him.
Rolling back the sleeves of his white suit and blue shirt, the well-built young man put on his sunglasses, kicked open the doors and began his journey to get his harem. Nothing will stop him!
"Yeah, Go Jaune! Get your demon Harem!" Nora cheered for him while the others shook their heads.
"Oh god no." Weiss muttered as she recalled Watcher's words.
When he entered the gate and took his first steps of his journey, Jaune realized that it was…quiet. Way too quiet for an Underworld, sure he expected a sort of raging inferno but this was a complete surprise.
"Must be the upper level. Makes sense really. I guess this means I'm in Limbo right now." He muttered as he found a poorly made path full of rocks, bones and other stuff. Nevertheless, he walked the path, seeing no other way. As he walked the road, he looked around the area, noticing how everything seemed grey, stagnant and depressing. Fitting really for an area known as Limbo.
"If you are curious, Limbo is a section of Hell for those who did not commit a sin but didn't have enough faith in God. Here they would live, unable to enter Heaven, but compared to other eight circles it is basically a slice of Heaven in Hell." Watcher said.
"What kind of Hell is this anyway? I mean what religion does it belong to?" Ren asked.
"Remember how I talked about Jesus Christ?" they nodded, "Well, Jesus belonged to a religion known as Christianity where they speak of one God who created the universe and everything in it. Christianity's Hell is depicted as having Nine Circles with each Circle being worse than the last, and at the center lies a very special prisoner whom Christians avoid at all costs."
As he continued waking, he found the first roadblock on his journey.
Skeletons.
And he had no weapons with him.
"What kind of a person goes to Hell without weapons?" Weiss asked as she shook her head.
"Guess he must have forgotten it on his way here." Ren guessed as he drank his drink.
As he walked closer, ready for a fight with his limbs shaking, he noticed something about the skeletons. The miasma holding them seemed to be weak, brittle and they rocked slightly as if moved by a nonexistent breeze. Jaune raised an eyebrow before he walked forward with his arm reared back.
As he got closer and right next to it, it noticed him and he swung his fist. He may not look much, but he still had deceptive strength in his arms. His punch landed on a side of its spine and shattered it as the miasma dispersed and its bones lay in a heap. Blinking at the easy win, Jaune grinned…
Only to see the other skeletons looking at him now, their eyes angry as they prepared to fight.
"Well, looks like he is in trouble." Yang said, waiting for a good fight.
"If the skeletons fall from one punch I would hardly call it trouble Yang." Blake muttered.
"I gotta agree with her. Unless the bones themselves are super strong then there is little to no problem with those guys." Ren took a sip of his drink and leaned back in his seat.
One by one they attacked, each time he used either a punch or a kick to break them apart. It wasn't really easy, especially since some would jump on his back and distract him while another attacked him. He got a bloody nose from a surprisingly strong punch before proceeding to push the remaining ones into walls with strong kicks and watched them fall apart.
Blake had an 'I told you so' look as she looked at her partner who scoffed at her while others rolled their eyes.
With no enemies left to fight, he resumed his walk, pushing away boulders that stood on his way. But as he removed a second one, he noticed something odd. He started getting tired really fast, confusing him as he didn't even use that much energy to beat up the skeletons or move the boulders.
"Of course, this is Hell and I'm a normal human. Should have figured that I would start feeling drained." Jaune muttered as he kept walking, feeling more and more tired as he looked for anyone besides the skeletons.
"Looks like he is facing consequences faster than expected." Weiss observed, noting his fatigue.
"He went to Hell with no plan, I'm surprised he didn't get thrown out for being a living human." Blake muttered, never thinking she would say something like that in her life.
"Well, he can't give up yet! He still has to find the first girl!" Nora as usual cheered for her leader, even if his plan was crazy.
Just as he was feeling like he was about to keel over, he saw something that gave him hope. A person…No.
A woman standing in front of a desk with a clipboard in hand.
Feeling bolstered he took a few more steps and stood in front of the desk with the woman not looking up from her clipboard.
"Hell's Customer Service, my name is Glynda Pandemonium." A tired voice said as the woman looked up at him with a tired gaze, "How may I help you?"
Jaune gulped seeing the beauty before him, though she looked tired she was still beautiful. Wavy white hair with a single blonde streak, a curl hanging down the right side of her face and the rest put on a ponytail on the back of her head. Her choice of attire was interesting as well, a red button-up long-sleeve shirt covered by a black sleeved blazer, a pencil skirt on the lower half of her body, heeled shoes on her feet and gloves on her hands, heck she even had an ID as if to show she worked in Hell. He wondered if she was human but quickly noticed the small horns on her head and the tail behind her.
"Is…Is that Miss Goodwitch?" Weiss asked incredulously, seeing the version of the headmistress.
"Holy shit, she looks tired. Like damn." Yang commented seeing the black circles under her eyes.
"Her last name is Pandemonium? What does that even mean?" Ruby wondered, hearing the last name.
"Pandemonium in Greek roughly translates to "Abode of all Demons". It also refers to a capital of Hell in several books about Hell." Watcher told her.
"Why would someone write about Hell?" Watcher shrugged.
"I guess it's to imagine what it looks like before they die."
A dozen thoughts went through Jaune's head, namely surprise that Hell has Customer Service given that the place is…well, Hell. Why did the woman have a last name if she was a demon, wasn't that just a human thing? Shaking his head and seeing the demon woman look at him, Jaune decided to say something on instinct.
"You look really tired, maybe I could help you instead?" He confidently said with a suave voice, feeling himself cringe on the inside.
Weiss face palmed as she heard his attempt at flirting.
"This is oddly familiar." Yang teased as she looked at Weiss who glared at the blonde.
"Shut it Xiao-Long." The heiress lightly snapped while Yang chuckled at her.
"That was kinda…lame." Ruby said, slightly cringing as well.
"Gotta give him points for being confident enough to ask a DEMON out. Especially if that demon is a version of Miss Goodwitch." Yang commented, throwing a popcorn and catching it in her mouth.
Glynda looks at him blankly, blinking a few times as Jaune mentally prepared himself in case she tried to kill him. Really, after a cheesy line like that he wouldn't be surprised if she just yeeted him to a lava lake or maybe even-
"Sweet of you to offer," He was cut off from his thoughts as the demon answered, "I could really use some coffee right now. I'm not really myself without it." A look of disbelief on his face at her answer.
The same disbelief is in Weiss as she looked slack-jawed that his attempt actually worked.
"Huh, what do you know? Guess Arc's pickup line worked. Pay up Blake." Blake grumbled as she gave her partner 5 Lien.
"You seriously made a bet if his attempt would work?" Pyrrha asked as the blonde nodded.
"Yep, which reminds me: Ruby you owe me 10." The silver-eyed girl pouted as she handed the cash.
"How does it work if it never worked on Weiss?" She asked as Yang smirked.
"Hey we bet that if his attempts work on someone, you would pay. It didn't have to be just Weiss you know." Her sister replied.
"Uhh…" Jaune said as Glynda looked at him.
"Of course there is no coffee in Hell, nor would a wayward soul like you would be able to bring any so I'm not sure what you're trying to do here." She said as he snapped out of his stupor.
"I'm not a soul. I'm a living human, I came down here for my own reasons."
Glynda narrowed her red eyes, her glasses giving a glint as they seemingly glowed with the dim lighting of the Underworld before they widened slightly.
"Oh My Satan, you are actually a living human." Shock clear in her voice, her face matching, "Oh my, I never thought I would see a live human in my immortal life…"
"Yeah, well we never thought we would meet an omnipotent being and watch our friend and ourselves in other worlds." Yang said.
"Who or what is Satan?" Weiss asked, believing it to be a sort of god.
"Satan or Lucifer was God's most loyal servant, one who alongside two others helped him shape the universe, until he fell from grace, struck down from Heavens and now people in billions of universes know him as the Devil."
"A fall from grace huh? Guess even the most loyal can fall." Blake said, interested in the backstory.
"Mind you, Satan is a Devil in only one religion. Other religions have their own Devils known mostly as Gods of Underworlds, but Satan is the only one whom people always assume rules Hell, he even has his own religion but it leads to nothing good."
"I'm here for my own reasons, but I'd appreciate it if you would give me a guide through Hell."
Glynda seemingly calmed down and adjusted her glasses.
"I'm afraid I can't be your guide as I'm obliged by my contract to not leave my work post during working hours."
"And how many visitors did you get lately?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.
Glynda looked at him blankly before looking at her clipboard.
"…Only you in the last two decades."
"And when was the last time your employers came to check up on you?"
"They come once a year…and the last visit was about a week ago."
"And what do you do if there are no visitors?"
She pointed at a stack of paperwork.
"Usually I clean the area and do some paperwork, which I already finished."
"Wow, seems like she has a dull life." Yang said seeing all the work.
"Yeah, at least Miss Goodwitch in our world is pretty cool. Here she seems to be on the verge of falling asleep." Ruby said, making a stack of cards while also watching the screen.
He nodded at the answers and leaned on the desk.
"Listen, I understand that you have important work, but I'm pretty sure you need a small break from all of this. I doubt that you would miss anything important, plus a small tour never hurt right?" She seemed to consider his words and he threw in the last offer.
"And as compensation for your work, I will get you some coffee from the living world." He finished, having no idea what to do if she refused.
Glynda looked at him with a narrowed gaze for a few seconds making him sweat slightly before she took off her glasses.
"Very well, I will go with you." Jaune mentally sighed in relief, "But you better hold your word on giving me coffee. I don't appreciate liars." As a show of power, she punched a boulder next to her and it shattered to many pieces.
"Don't worry, I never go back on my word." She nodded and gestured to him to follow her.
"Something tells me he is gonna regret it all in the end." Pyrrha said, not sure that he could handle it.
"Harems are never a good idea Pyrrha, even if he gets one, chances are he is gonna regret it the moment he comes back home." Ren said.
"So why exactly are you here?" Jaune looked up at Glynda as she led him through the Limbo to the second gate.
"Well, it's complicated…and I'm not sure how you would react." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm a secretary of Hell who has been through all the things Hell has, whatever reason you might have it will probably not surprise me." She said as Jaune scratched his neck.
"Alright, the reason I'm here is that…I had a dream." She tilted her head, "A dream where I had a harem of demon girls. After that I came here to make that dream a reality." He looked away with his glasses hiding his eyes, expecting to hear a lecture or a sort of wake up call.
"Honestly, if he ever said that to me I would tell him to back off and call an asylum on him." Blake bluntly said.
"Me too." Weiss chimed in.
"I would think he is joking or that he is crazy." Yang added.
"I think it's adorable, crazy yes but still adorable." Ruby said.
"And I think it's awesome and that we would support him! Right guys?" Nora asked her teammates who either had nervous chuckles or coughed awkwardly.
"I wouldn't say 'support' but maybe tell him he should rethink his life choices." Ren admitted as he looked away.
'No way am I letting him get a harem…Not without me at least.' Pyrrha thought, a small blush at the last thought.
'You do realize that you still need him to fall for you in order for that to happen right?' Watcher thought to her as she jumped slightly, 'And like I said before, yours might see you as just a friend…and you already have a future love rival sitting next to you…who is kinda closer to him than you are.' Pyrrha looked at Ruby, the young huntress unaware of the narrow eyed look that Pyrrha sent her as Watcher sighed.
"Fucking teenagers with their issues." He muttered under his breath.
A bark of laughter caught him by surprise and he looked at Glynda to see her laughing and seemingly having a time of her life.
"A demon harem from a dream? Oh, now I've seen it all! First a human comes to Hell now I learn this! You humans are truly strange creatures." Glynda said as she stopped laughing but still had a smile on her face.
"You don't seem to be weirded out by this." Jaune said seeing her reaction.
"Have you forgotten? I'm a demon and we are beings who revel in human sin. I'm pretty sure the higher ups here would admire a human's willingness to do something like this. Although it does make me wonder," She smirked at him and leaned in closer, "Were you hoping to add me to this depraved dream of yours?"
Jaune blushed from the close contact and her words, leaning back he scratched his head.
"W-Well, probably. Y-you are pretty beautiful." She seemed to be slightly flustered at his words, which surprised him since she told him that they are shameless.
"Is it me or are his attempts at flirting better when he isn't trying to be a confident macho?" Weiss asked.
"Probably, we never saw him try genuine flirting, only fake confidence combined with awful pick-up lines. Although I'm not sure that that will help him." Blake replied waiting to see how this would all go.
"Let's just see what happens."
"While I'm flattered that you think that…and even though you are fairly attractive…I'm only here with you for the promise of coffee. I might consider you on that offer but I will help you with gathering a harem." Jaune is surprised by her words.
"I…appreciate that." He replied, not sure of what to say.
"Now, come with me, I know someone who will be very eager to join your harem." The way she says those words sent shivers down his spine.
'I don't have a good feeling about this.'
"I don't know why, but I feel that I'm going to get angry in the next few minutes." Watcher chuckled at Blake's words.
"Maybe you will, maybe not."
Jaune had a deadpan look as he looked at the path ahead of him, the same broken road as before but now with the expected addition of skeletons and boulders, there were also spikes, also some kind of wind that made him shiver.
"You sure this is the only way? I would rather not get impaled and turned into swiss cheese." He said as Glynda took off her glasses and proceeded to clean them.
"Since I'm your guide let me explain, a living human in Hell will not survive if they walk too much as it takes a lot of will, something that you already experienced." He remembered the feeling of fatigue and nodded.
"See the spikes here won't leave any physical wounds but will rather take twice the will to pass and you will still feel pain. These tricks were put in place in higher circles for souls to pass through and if they lose all of their will they simply get back to the start, but since you are a human I can only assume that you will die." Jaune frowned as he heard that, he swore he could hear a sort of sadistic glee in her voice.
"Why didn't I lose will when we walked here?"
"Because the road that we used wasn't designed for that. Not all paths drain will, only ones specially designed for such a thing." Glynda explained and he nodded.
"So enchant one type of road and don't touch the rest? Seems strange to do that." Weiss said, not seeing practicality of such a thing.
"Hells work differently in every universe. There are hells that are Fire and Brimstone and some are frozen landscapes. It all depends."
"Thank you for relying on Hell's Customer Service. From the scale of 1-10 how would you rate your overall satisfaction with the results?" She showed her clipboard and he wrote 10 for her help.
"Woah, never had ten before." She said with slight surprise and he gave a thumbs-up.
"Well, here goes nothing!" He said as he ran towards his next destination, the tired demon going after him.
Jaune saw spikes in front of him and carefully stepped forward to make sure not to step on them, to his surprise they retracted every time he took a step. He saw a skeleton next to him, kicked in into the spikes and watched it shatter. A grin on his face as he formulated a strategy. Why jump onto the spikes if he could throw in a bait?
He kept moving, the demon behind him not even tired as she wrote something on her clipboard. Jaune felt exhaustion kick in as he moved more and more, unfortunately he got distracted and landed on the spikes. They shot up, piercing his body but not wounding him as he felt more exhausted than before but he couldn't give up, not now.
The end of the road was close, he could see it as well as something glowing red behind several rocks. Determination steeled and fists clenched, he began to take an easier route, Glynda raising an eyebrow behind him as she watched him.
Jaune panted as he and Glynda finally arrived at their destination. The blonde was exhausted, hands on his knees and sweat on his forehead but he finally got to the rocks.
"Didn't think watching someone walk would be kinda exciting." Yang said, as she saw the road and Jaune's walk through it.
"Some things can be made awesome even if they are mundane." Watcher said relaxing in his place.
"So who is it exactly that we are looking for?" He asked Glynda who gestured him to follow her.
"Blake Asmodeus, the lustful demon. She resides in the second level of Hell, one that is reserved for those whose sin is Lust. She doesn't do much though aside from occasionally messing around the place." She replied as Jaune raised an eyebrow at her supposed title.
Silence reigned in the room at Glynda's words. RWY turned towards Blake who had the most deadpan look on her face and tightly clutched a sandwich, so tightly that the contents began to fall.
"Not. Another. Word." She hissed out, her eyes looking at Yang specifically. The blonde girl shrugged at her look and simply leaned back while holding back a snicker.
"Oh, I want to see where this will go." Nora said while rubbing her hands.
"Here she is." Glynda said as Jaune looked at where she looked and his eyes widened.
'Hot damn!'
Standing before him was an admittedly cute girl slightly shorter than him, black streaks in her white hair, a pair of horns made to look like cat ears and small hearts floating around her head. Her red eyes had hearts in them and she stared at him with a seductive look on her face as well as a frown. Despite her title as a lustful demon though, she dressed nothing like he expected. Instead of some seductive outfit like he had seen in many video games, she instead wore a black blazer with a red turtleneck sweater underneath, a black pencil skirt and black stockings which gradated to purple at her ankles. Being sharply dressed must be something that all demons have in common, if both Glynda and Blake wore something that belonged more in office rather than Hell.
Also, holy hell! The girl looked like a damn supermodel, with curves in all the right places, especially behind.
Before he could do anything, the demon looked at him and spoke first.
"You and me. Now." She said with a purr as she moved in a way that accentuated her assets, her tail swishing behind her as she gave him bedroom eyes, his eyes wandering towards perhaps the greatest ass he had ever seen.
RWBY sat silent seeing a version of a usually aloof Blake acting like a temptress, a silence that didn't last for long.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Yang started laughing her guts out, falling from her seat, holding her abdomen and rolling around, "Oh dear Gods! That's-That's gotta be-HAHAHAHAHA!"
Blake glared at her partner, a light blush of embarrassment on her cheeks as she looked at her other teammates. Weiss was softly chuckling while Ruby giggled at how her other acted.
"Wow Blake, I didn't know you could flirt like that." Nora said as she began to chuckle, "I mean look how thirsty your other is!" Next to her Pyrrha held back a giggle while Ren had a small smile on his face.
"Yeah, l-looks like kitty demon-Hahaha-is thirsty for some milk-Haha-from the tap! HAHAHAHA!" Yang said, still laughing as Blake's face turned bright red.
"Yang!" She shouted at her partner who kept laughing and hitting the floor to calm down.
"I mean, you do read smut Blake so I guess it's not that far off." Ruby said, still giggling yet had a tiny blush at the implications. Blake simply put her face on her hands and groaned at their words.
"Okay…okay…I'm done." Yang said as she stopped laughing and went back to her seat
Jaune began to sweat slightly as he saw the demon's admittedly effective seduction.
'Seems like Glynda wasn't lying when she said she was lustful.' He thought as he was tempted to accept her offer. Tempted, until he saw a bloody blade and cleaver behind her. Suddenly, he wasn't as tempted anymore as he looked at Blake and noticed that she started getting aggressive.
"Sorry, but I have no time. Kinda busy gathering a harem of demon girls." He answered as he took a slight step back and adjusted his jacket.
"Damn Blake. Your other seems to be a damn Yandere here." Yang commented as Blake groaned.
"Someone please spare me the embarrassment." She muttered as Watcher chuckled at their interactions.
Her eyes widened…before an excited blush appeared on her face she leaned closer.
"A Demon harem? You poor fool, they will tear you apart." She said a bit too passionately, "And I have to see that happen." She whispered at the end with a hand on her chest.
Jaune raised an eyebrow before looking at Glynda who in turn stared back at him.
"Did you really think they wouldn't? We are demons after all, we don't really get along with each other. Expect one of us to get jealous or angry and start fights after you formed your harem." Jaune could hear sadistic glee from her and shivered, glad that she was tired otherwise he would be screwed.
"Yes…after all, too much love can still kill someone." Blake stated her somewhat warped opinion of love.
"So, Blake in that world thinks lust is love? Or is she a pervert who knows little about love?" Pyrrha asked, hearing what Blake said.
"It seems that she has little to no experience with love and believes loving too much can kill you." Weiss said.
"So she is saying too much sex can kill you?" Nora asked to which Watcher nodded.
"It can. Half the time." He muttered the last sentence under his breath.
Still, it was a success and now he had a lustful demon in his harem. Whom he would need to talk to as her cleaver and blade still freaked him out. Maybe adjusting her views of love would work.
Regardless, the trio went on their way passing through the second gate and deeper into Hell. Throughout the entire time, Jaune could feel Blake looking at him lustfully, creeping closer and closer to him until she practically clung to his right arm.
"So…" He looked to his left to see Glynda looking up from her clipboard, "Where are we heading now?" He asked, trying to break the uncomfortable silence. She simply looked at the road ahead of them.
"The Third Circle of Hell, Gluttony. A place for those who thought to attain power at any means necessary, including murder. One of the demons resides there, hopefully she hasn't messed up the road too much." He nodded to her as they kept walking.
"So anyone who wanted to attain power will be placed in this Circle? I wonder…" Weiss said as she cupped her chin in thought.
"Why Gluttony though? Isn't Greed a more appropriate term?" Ruby asked Watcher who shook his head.
"Greed is when you want to have something that others have or something that you don't have, and what you want doesn't have to be necessary for your life and keeping it even though it would be better to give it away for someone who needs it more, or simply keeping something for the power it gives you over others. Gluttony though is more like being unable to stop once you had your fill. Say you eat fast food but it's just not enough so it leads to overconsumption. It doesn't have to be only food though, you can be power hungry, wanting more and more power even though you shouldn't. What they share in common is that both represent a lack of self-control, an uncontrollable desire to selfishly have something more and both go hand in hand for most people, although Greed is technically worse." He explained as Ruby nodded at the explanation.
"So…which Circle would my father be in then if he was in this world?" Weiss asked as Watcher turned to her.
"I would say Third or Fourth but I'm pretty sure it will be the Eighth." Her eyes widened as she wondered what the eighth Circle was.
Eventually they reached a valley and this time it truly looked like Hell. Souls screaming in cages, covered in dirt or drowning in it. Skeletons were also there as well as a giant door and he could even see the gate from afar.
"So where is this Demon?" He asked Glynda.
"It should be obvious." She said as she went towards the giant doors and knocked on it. He and Blake followed as a voice came out of the other side.
"Who is there?!" Three voices asked together causing Jaune to raise an eyebrow.
"Cerberus, it is me, Glynda. Open the door, we have a…guest." She said as Jaune heard shuffling from the other side.
"Okay, just a minute." The voices called out as Jaune's eyes widened.
"Cerberus? The three headed dog who supposedly guards Hell?" He asked as she nodded.
"A three headed dog? What?" Weiss asked dumbfounded while Blake tensed up in her seat.
"Is it like Zwei with three heads?" Nora asked with excitement, the thought of a three-headed dog catching her interest.
"Cerberus is a dog who in many legends, either guards Hell or is in one of the Circles of Hell. Its name is derived from creoboros, basically flesh-devourer. Since it is in Third Circle described as Gluttony, it only makes sense. As a dog, it is either a pitbull or a shepherd. Although, in some cases, it's not even a dog so much as an abomination." He brought out a card, which showed Cerberus being some sort of fleshy creature with worm-like heads that had multiple mouths on its necks as well as eyes and what looked hairy extensions. As if the bloody flesh wasn't enough, the torso turned out to be some sort of blob-like humanoid torso with eyes and the three heads came out of the mouth.
"What the fuck is that?!" Yang shouted as she looked at the most disgusting monster she had ever seen.
"How it is shown in one universe…which we will probably see later." Watcher said as they gulped at that.
"Erm…we have a problem here." Cerberus said from the other side as Glynda sighed and rubbed her face.
"What is it Cerberus?"
"We can't find the key. We think we threw it away when we were in a frenzy the other day." The three voices said as Glynda face palmed in frustration.
"Where did you throw it? Maybe I can find it?" Jaune said as he removed the clingy Blake from his arm and went to the door. There was an excited howl as the demon answered.
"Not sure. We think it should be over those rocks!" He looked at the valley and saw some rocks far away from the giant door.
"If you could throw it that far, why didn't you just break the door?" He asked and heard a whine in response.
"Because Lucifer told us we would be left without dinner for six months if we did that."
'So their boss threatened them. Makes sense, if I had a dog this strong I would try to keep it on a leash.' He thought, looking at the valley before sighing.
"Hey, at least you will get a badass dog from this Jaune!" Nora said to the screen.
"A sentient, talking pet who is apparently really powerful." Ren remarked and she pouted.
"Boo, you're no fun." She replied as the others looked at her.
"Nora think about how bad that is, not only does he need to feed the dog, judging by the size of the doors he wouldn't have enough space for it, not to mention bringing a DEMON dog into the human world where people would find out. I don't really see what could be so good about it." Weiss said.
"I will have to agree with Weissy here, it was hard enough for us to take care of ZWEI, and he is a CORGI. I don't want to imagine how bad Cerberus would be." Yang added, hand running through her hair.
"Any good advice?" He asked his two partners. This time however, Blake spoke first.
"Advice? Easy, skip the puzzles, gather all the bitches and let's engage in harem activities."
"Damn, that lady is really thirsty for some milk. Blake you sure that you aren't-"
"Finish that sentence Yang and I will make you regret it by putting permanent black dye in your hair." Her partner said as her amber eyes glared at the blonde girl who gulped slightly as the darkness made her eyes look scarier.
"H-Hey come on, I'm just teasing, no way was I gonna pass up any of this." Blake held up a hand as a bucket of paint appeared in her hand. Yang grasped her hair before nodding hastily as Blake threw the paint away.
'What was that just now?' She thought as Watcher raised an eyebrow before reinforcing the mental force field after noticing it weakened.
He sweat dropped at her advice, not really expecting anything helpful.
"Forgive Blake for this," Glynda began as she adjusted her glasses, "Most demons are like her, we lust for sin, hard to keep it in check."
He guessed her being tired kept her sadism in check then.
"You know, I can't help but feel that at times our Miss Goodwitch is a sadist as well." Nora said as Yang looked at her.
"Whew, glad to know I'm not the only one." She fist bumped Nora as they looked at the others, "I mean, have you seen how she dresses? You would think she has a secret BDSM dungeon or wants to inflict pain but keeps it hidden by looking high and mighty."
"I don't think you are right," Weiss said before she crossed her arms, "then again we learned a lot here so maybe she does have some secret side to her."
"As for the puzzle…try not to spend too much time dealing with the undead and spikes and you should be fine." He nodded his thanks, rolled his shoulders before marching for the key.
A few minutes later, he came back with the key, exhausted once more after dealing with the spikes and two undead. He came back to the door where he saw Glynda and Blake looking at the key in anticipation. He wondered why before simply opening the giant doors to greet the giant hell dog.
"Freedom!" Three voices said as three girls ran out of the room, ran around the clearing in a frenzy burning off energy after spending so long in a cramped space before all three stood in front of him. Now that he looked at them, he couldn't help but notice that they looked really cute, although they were shorter than the other two. All three had long white hair with orange streaks, one had them on the right side of her hair, the other on the left and the last one in the middle, all three had their hair tied in a 'tail' at the end. Like the other demons, her eyes were red and she dressed sharply as well, a red button up long-sleeve suit underneath black striped vests. Black firm suit pants adorned their lower halves, black gloves on their hands and black ties under their vests. Unlike Glynda and Blake though, they had canine ears on top of their heads but still had tails emerging from their pants.
Nora comically spat out her drink as she saw the orange streaks, immediately coming to conclusion.
"I'm a doggy?!" She asked/shouted as the rest covered their ears from the volume before she squealed.
"I'm a giant doggy of destruction! And there are three of me! I could kill so many Grimm!" She cheerfully said with a malicious glint as the rest gulped at the thought.
"Three Noras…dear Gods help us." Ren prayed as Watcher chuckled.
"Your Gods have abandoned you…and you shall know the devastation of three Noras!" He said as he made an evil laugh with lightning flashing in the background scaring the six minus Nora who kept cheering before he calmed down.
"Don't worry about it, she won't cause too much trouble. And Nora please sit down." She pouted before sitting down as the being shook his head with a chuckle.
"Are you a human?" The one on the right asked.
"A real human?" The middle one followed.
"Please take us with you!" The third one finished as their tails wagged and anticipation on their faces. Judging by their looks, Glynda and Blake probably told them what he was doing here, though he felt somewhat guilty with how naïve they seemed.
"You do realize that I'm forming a harem of demon girls, right?" He asked as they nodded.
"Of course! We can have tons of fun playing together!" They exclaimed together
He smiled at their happy-go-lucky attitude but it did little to ease his guilt before Blake came up to him.
"Don't be fooled by their childishness, they're still demons…they wouldn't really mind playing with you that way as well, trust us we know." He looked at the three demons and for a moment, saw their teeth glint and eyes glow menacingly.
"Oh, right." Jaune said as he scratched the back of his head, "Deal, no questions asked. Welcome to the harem."
"Hey! I ain't no pervert! That's Blake's job!" Nora said as said faunus groaned, "Besides, I got my man right here!" She wrapped her arms around Ren and hugged him from behind. The boy blushed slightly as he felt her chest on his back before kissing her on the cheek. The girl blushed slightly as she kept hugging him.
The three excitedly hugged each other while jumping up and down.
"Yes! Time to corrupt the mortal realm!" Despite the…ominous intention, Jaune couldn't help but smile seeing the cute sight. Although it did make him wonder something…
"So is there any reason why you are three girls instead of a…well-"
"A giant dog?" They asked and he nodded.
"Well, we used to be one HUGE dog, these two would be like little devils on my shoulders," The middle one said as she gestured towards the two, "But then we tried to be at three places at once and it resulted in us splitting up." She finished as he nodded.
"So do you all have individual names to differentiate each other or?" They looked at him confused before they shook their heads.
"No, we are still one soul, we just share three bodies now. We could fuse back together if we try but we prefer it this way! You can give us a name if you want though." The middle one said as the other two nodded.
"Oh, so it is like having clones of yourself. That makes things more fun!" Nora said.
"I don't think so, they said they have one soul and share three bodies…does that mean they all feel the same thing if one does something?" Weiss wondered, "Though she seems set in trying to do some bad stuff if she gets out."
"She won't. Trust me, she won't." Watcher assured as he chuckled at Cerberus' situation.
"Alright, I will think of a name. But first, do all demons have other forms?" He asked Glynda to make sure he wouldn't get caught off guard when one of them transforms.
"Not all of us. Only several do and all of them are demons of older times, when Hell was different. Why? Getting second thoughts?" She asked and he shook his head.
"No, more to prepare in case you all have it." He then went to the gates and looked back, "Let's keep going." The Third Circle passed, and a new member added to the growing harem. Well, three by body count. He wondered whom he would meet next.
"10 Lien says he is gonna meet Weiss next!" Nora said as Yang looked at her.
"Oh really? Well, I put 15 Lien and say he meets P-Money there." Weiss raised an eyebrow at that.
"Why would you think that?" Yang smirked at her.
"Well, Watcher said that Greed is worse than Gluttony so that means Greed is next and from what I had seen here, Pyrrha will probably be there for she doesn't like sharing her crush." Pyrrha had a surprised look at her words.
"I bet 10 Lien that it will be Ruby." Blake said as they looked at her.
"Any reason why?" Blake shrugged.
"No reason, I just have a feeling I will be lucky." She confessed as Yang had a shit-eating grin.
"I'm not so sure Blake. You know that black cats are known for bringing bad luck."
A 'clang' resounded along with the sound of something hitting flesh and a cry of pain.
"OW!" Yang cried out as she grabbed her broken nose. She looked down at the bucket thrown at her a dent on its side, then at the blood leaking from her nose before looking at Blake with shock, as did the rest of her team.
"What ze fuck Blake?! That waz juzt a joke!" Yang shouted at her with a nasally voice and slight tears in her red eyes as the faunus herself looked shocked.
"I-I-I don't know! I suddenly felt very angry and threw that without noticing! I didn't mean to do that!" She said, freaking out over her action as Yang glared at her before more blood dripped from her swollen red nose.
"Fuck, someone help me wiz thiz!" She said as she pinched her nose to prevent bleeding, wincing as she couldn't breathe through her nose. Watcher appeared in front of her and pressed his hand on her nose. The blonde girl winced as she felt the cold metal of his gauntlet before it began to glow. To the shock of the seven, they saw the blood on her hands return to her nose as the redness and swelling began to fade and reverse. The blood on the floor returned as well as Yang took a deep breath through her nose.
"What-What did you just do?" She asked him and he chuckled.
"Healed your nose by reversing the damage done to it." At his words, their eyes widened.
"Reverse?" He picked up a soda can and crushed it, spraying liquid everywhere before it glowed and reverted back to its original state with even the liquid going back.
"Pretty awesome right?" They nodded, "make sure that doesn't happen again though, we don't need you starting a fight or harming each other." Blake nodded and gave an apologetic look to her partner who simply narrowed her eyes at her before nodding. Watcher frowned while cursing the room.
As they passed the gate and on to the next circle, Jaune couldn't help but feel that his next encounter wouldn't be as pleasant. He nudged Glynda who looked at him.
"Yes?"
"I want to ask: should I be aware of anything nasty waiting in the Fourth Circle?" She looked at her clipboard and shook her head.
"Not really, unless we are counting the one who we will meet while there but other than her and several other sinners, you should be fine." She said and he nodded, feeling Blake cling to his arm with Cerberus excitedly running around.
"Cerberus don't fall behind." He said as he saw them stop behind them.
"Okay!" They said as they followed him. The road changed as they entered a new area, Jaune's eyes widened slightly as he saw that this place had no skeletons but he could see a glow of a key and a door at the end.
"Let's see who he is gonna see now. Ready to lose Nora?" Yang asked as Nora gave a grin.
"Weiss is kinda greedy so she will be the one here. I'm sure of it!" She replied as Weiss looked at heer.
"Excuse me?! What is that supposed to mean you barbarian harlot?!" She coldly asked, as Nora looked surprised.
"Woah, calm down Weiss! That was just a joke." She said but received a glare instead.
"Oh so you think that just because I'm a Schnee that means I'm greedy like my father?! Do you even know what it feels like to have a father like him?!" She said as her hand went to her weapon.
"Hey Weiss calm down!" Ruby tried to calm her partner who paid her no mind.
"Then again, what could you know?! How would a brute with a one-track mind ever understand that? You ever wonder why you are an orphan?! Maybe because you are so bad that nobody wants you bar the emotionless boy who might as well be a girl for how frail he is!" Nora narrowed her eyes as she clenched her fists.
"Care to repeat that you spoiled brat?" She asked as she fingered her hammer.
"What, do you have a hearing problem as well? Is that why you are always like this? It's a wonder he is even with you if you can't even pay attention to what I'm saying!" Nora's eyes snapped up in rage as she charged at Weiss with a roar, hammer raised ready to smash her.
"No."
She stopped in mid-air before both she and Weiss were raised up in the air as Watcher waved his hand. He looked at them with narrowed eyes.
"Do you mind not causing a fight guys? You are already making it hard as it is, no need to provoke or overreact to what others do. Now sit down, be good girls and no more fights. Am I clear?" They both nodded as his eyes glowed.
"Good." He put them down back on their seats and noticed that their force fields had cracks and holes in them so he had to put them again, this time with better protection.
"I don't suppose you would give me any tips here?" He asked them and they looked at him.
"You don't really look like you need help here. Or did you just want to talk to us?" She asked as she adjusted her glasses.
"Maybe?" He shrugged as he prepared to march.
"Wait do you smell that?" Cerberus said as the right one sniffed the air, "Smells like orange, roses and…alcohol?" She asked the last one as the middle one seemed to realize something.
"There's no doubt. That's Ruby! She is kinda hard to get cause she is a Sour demon but you can probably figure out what to do." She said as the left one nodded.
"Then we can all hang and have FUN!" Jaune briefly wondered if she would do things like normal dogs do but shook his head and looked ahead.
"Looks like I won. Pay up." Blake said with a slightly smug smile as Nora pouted while Yang groaned.
"Fine, fine. Here you go partner." She said as they both gave their money.
"You know, it's surprising Ruby is in the Circle of Greed seeing as how she is…well Ruby." Pyrrha said as Ruby shrugged.
"Eh, she is probably different than me. The only times my other versions were like me was with that 'Rose' world and the Chibi worlds. Other than that, they are all different, so I'm not surprised here." She said, taking a bite out of the cookie.
"Well here goes nothing." He said as he went to get the key first. However as he neared it he noticed that the door leading to the Demon was blocked by loose rocks. Deciding to use a different method, clearing out the boulders and getting closer to the door. Once he did, he kicked the rocks and pushed the boulders away.
As he went to get the Demon, he noticed something under his foot. A broken piece of wood with some scribbles written on it.
"Some sort of ritual? Maybe forbidden lore?" He asked as he pocketed it, pushed the last boulder away and found the Demon, though not how he expected.
Sitting in front of a computer screen with keyboard and mouse in hand was a young girl wearing a red working red shirt with sleeves folded below her elbows underneath a black, buttoned sleeveless vest. A black pencil skirt on her waist along with black working pants under it.
He walked towards her and she turned towards him allowing him to see her white hair with the tips gradating to red and red eyes. She seemed to have a frown on her face as she looked at him with a sour look illuminated by her computer screen.
"Who are you?" She asked in a bitter voice as he stopped.
"I'm-" He couldn't answer as his companions came after him, looking at the locked door and the moved boulders.
"Creative method, I will give you that." Glynda said stepping into the room and Ruby scoffed while keeping her frown.
"Great more braindead idiots…" She stood up and looked at him while putting her hand on her temple, "Never seen your ugly mug before. What are you playing at?" Okay she seemed like she didn't enjoy…well, anyone's company
"Wow, your other self seems really sour Rubes." Yang said looking at her sister.
"And she looks like she has worse socializing problems than I do." The younger sister replied seeing her interaction.
"Pretty impressive since you and Jaune are the most socially awkward people I've ever seen." Her sister said as Ruby pouted.
"Yang." She said as the rest giggled at their interaction.
Out of instinct, Jaune said the first thing that came to his mind.
"I'd sure love to play with you." He could feel his companions staring at him like he was an idiot while Ruby lifted up her bangs and gave him a glare. He cringed slightly at his own attempt.
"Like what?" Ruby asked as she stood up straight, "Video games? Sure why not?" He breathed a sigh of relief, "As long as you're okay with turn based strategies."
Turn based strategies? He could deal with that.
"Yeah, she is just like you here. Only you would misinterpret that he is trying to flirt with you." Yang said, a teasing grin on her face.
"Hey! I know when others are trying to flirt with me!" Ruby told her as Yang raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really?" Yang asked with a smirk as Ruby awkwardly avoided her gaze.
"Uh, well, I-" Yang chuckled at her sister's embarrassment and rubbed the top of her head.
"It's okay Rubes, no one here is going to blame you. You are still too young after all." Ruby pouted and swatted her sister's hand away.
"Maybe later. You want to come with us?" he asked as she raised her eyebrow before shrugging.
"Sure, why not." Another companion to his journey as they walked past the fourth gate and onto the next one.
"By the way, what's a human like you doing here in Hell?" Ruby asked after a while and he scratched his cheek.
"Well, I'm here because I had a dream about a harem of demon girls so I came here to make that dream a reality." She looked at him with the same frown from before.
"Fine." She said as she took out a bottle, "As long as you don't try any masochistic shit with me and play turn based strategies, I'm fine with joining you." He looked surprised but nodded as they kept walking.
"I wonder, if Ruby is a Sour Demon what does that make Yang?" Pyrrha asked, making them wonder.
"Probably an awesome one or a fighting demon! Either way, I'm sure I will be great!" Yang confidently said as she downed her soda.
"You could be an impatient, angry or a berserker demon you know?" Ren said, making Yang scoff.
"Yeah, pretty sure I will be the awesome one." Watcher chuckled quietly.
'If only you knew.'
"So what's the next circle?" He asked Glynda who took off her glasses to wipe them.
"The Fifth Circle is known as Wrath and it should be obvious as to what you will see there. Although, I'm not sure if the one who is put in charge of looking after the Circle is there. She tends to abandon her post and leave it a mess." She said as they reached another place.
"Oh look at that, Wrath. I wonder if it means something…" Blake said as she looked at her partner who gave her a deadpan look.
"Shut it you pervert." Blake rolled her eyes as they refocused on the screen.
"This doesn't mean you won. We still don't know my title." Yang said to the others.
"Sure Yang, sure." Ren said as his teammates giggled.
"I get that Wrath is bad but why is it one of the circles?" Weiss wondered.
"Wrath or Anger is a desire for Justice perverted into an obsessive rage for a quick and often extreme action against both innocent and guilty. Not only that but if left unchecked, Anger can lead to physical and emotional injury as well as needless deaths of others since in anger a person cannot discern between friend or foe. In moderation Anger is good, but lose control and you will lose both a fight and your life if you are not careful." Yang felt a severe phantom pain on her arm as he said that and clutched it tightly as she could feel something cut it but not damage it.
"Wow, this place is a worse mess than the other two." Jaune said looking at the muddy terrain with only one road untouched by rain.
"Before you ask, yes there is rain in Hell. Not everything in Hell is fire and brimstone." Glynda told him.
"Right. I don't suppose you got any advice here?" Ruby spoke first.
"What? Never tried to go through a dungeon before?" She asked and he raised an eyebrow, "The spikes have a rhythm, if you don't like it just push some rocks around until it does." The middle Cerberus sniffed the air and scrunched her face.
"This place stinks of smoke. Yang must be nearby." Ruby's eyes widened when she heard that.
"Oh no…Please no…" She muttered confusing Jaune before he refocused on the road.
"What's with that reaction Rubes?" Yang asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Hey, don't look at me. Maybe your other self is more annoying or probably more overprotective than you are." Ruby said with crossed arms and a pout.
"I have to be protective at times Ruby, even though I overdo it at times. But I'm never annoying." She said as she crossed her arms.
"Whatever you say Yang." Ruby replied as she sent a playful punch to her sister who grinned at her.
The path was a bit easier than Jaune expected, sure he still hit spikes to get the key and found another piece of the tablet that he found before but the exhaustion was still there. He braved it though, his companions following him with Ruby looking more sour than before as Cerberus scrunch their noses from the smell of smoke.
The key opened the lock and he pushed the door open to a lot of smoke, one that usually came from cigarettes rather than one left by fire around Hell. Coughing as he inhaled smoke, Jaune waved his hand, trying to clear the smoke. After a while, it dispersed allowing Jaune to see a demon leaning on the wall, a cigarette on her hand as she casually exhaled smoke while watching sinners suffer.
He looked over her noting her outfit consisting of a red tuckered shirt, black skinny jeans with a tail behind her and black knee length heeled boots, black bracelets on her arms with one covering her whole forearm and a cross hanging on her neck. Her face is pretty with black eye shadow and piercings on her ears, mouth and nose, silvery white hair with a streak of blonde on one of her bangs covering her left eye, a pair of horns on her head. Red eyes locked onto his and she smirked as she pushed off of the wall.
"Hey there. Name's Yang." She said as she took a drag of her cigarette.
"Hello Yang, still making a mess I see." Glynda said as she came up from behind as Yang chuckled.
"As you can see." She turned to him and grinned, "Say, I heard you are gathering a harem. I'm in." His eyebrows shot up in surprise, he didn't even ask her anything and yet she is agreeing so easily.
"She is either trolling him or she really wants to join him." Ren said.
"He has Ruby with him so she is probably going with him to make sure Ruby is safe." Yang herself said as she snacked on her sandwich.
"I feel like we are wrong here but let's see what will happen next." Pyrrha said, looking at the alternate Yang.
He looked towards Glynda and gestured to Yang, wanting to know who she was and she looked at her clipboard.
"Yang, the Bitch Demon. She lives in the Fifth Circle and spends her time provoking anyone into attacking her to satisfy her masochistic desires." After she said that, he looked at Yang and could feel an aura of pure anger coming from her.
"BITCH?!" Yang shouted as Nora laughed at her while others looked surprised at the title.
"Why Bitch Demon? I mean yes, she is annoying half the time, but why that title?" Blake wondered.
"Maybe she does…you know…" Pyrrha said, blushing as they gaped at the implications.
"I ain't no floozy to do something like that!" Yang shouted at her and turned to Watcher, "Explain please!" Watcher raised an eyebrow as he chuckled at her reaction.
"Calling someone a bitch doesn't really mean they do inappropriate things with people, it also means they are either mean spirited or hard to socialize with. Yang in this case is just mean spirited, that's all. Besides, it's not like you are a masochist yourself Yang…unless you are?" He asked as Yang's face turned red with anger.
"I'm not!" She shouted as he raised an eyebrow.
"You sure? Given how your Semblance works and how you always fight, one might think that you like fighting just to get your secret masochist tendencies satisfied." Yang's hair started glowing as her eyes turned red.
"I'm! Not! A masochist!" She shouted as she tore a chair off and threw it at him. It casually bounced off his body and fell back down as Watcher crossed his arms.
"You know, people tend to deny their fetishes when people ask them. And you are denying hard here. Seems like you ARE a masochist, just like how Blake is a closet pervert."
"I'M NOT A MASOCHIST!" Watcher burst out into laughter as he saw her reaction.
"Relax, I'm just messing with you. I know you aren't." NPR started laughing as they saw this along with Ruby and Weiss. Yang blushed red with embarrassment as they kept laughing.
"Man, I missed messing with people like this." Watcher said as they sat down and calmed down.
"Yeah, yeah enough with the formalities. Hope you still have a place in your harem, big guy." Yang said as she came up to him, still smoking her cigarette, behind her Ruby shook her head motioning him to refuse.
"Wait, I have a feeling I will regret this." Jaune said warily as Yang grinned and exhaled a large amount of smoke on his face.
"Too bad, I'm coming anyway. Go ahead, try to stop me." She mockingly said, giggling at the end as Jaune could hear a groan from Ruby and wondered if he made the right choice.
"Let's just get going." Ruby said as she went past him and towards the next circle.
"Oh what's wrong Rubes? Aren't you glad that your dear loving sister is with you?" Yang asked, as Jaune's looked surprised as Ruby's words from earlier made more sense now.
"Shut it." Ruby replied as he rubbed his temple and went to the next circle.
As they walked through the gates and the corridor between circles, he started having a slight headache from the bickering of the two sisters and the excitable energy of Cerberus. Blake clung to his arm again while Glynda seemingly ignored all the noise.
"Ruby in this world doesn't seem to like Yang very much." Pyrrha said, genuinely surprised.
"Yeah, they seem to hate each other here. At least Ruby does, not sure about Yang." Blake said, noticing their interactions.
"Well, Ruby said earlier that as long as Jaune doesn't try any masochist stuff she will join his harem. And since Yang here is a masochist, she probably doesn't like her very much." Weiss told them, remembering what Ruby said.
"Yeah, if someone did something that I hated all the time, I probably wouldn't like them very much." Yang said, sipping her drink.
"Sixth Circle. Bane of Heretics." Glynda said as they entered the sixth circle, filled with burning coffins and inverted crosses with people on them, making Jaune wince at their horrible fates.
"You guys are pretty creative in your tortures." He said as Glynda hummed.
"Thank you. Lucifer thought of these as a punishment to make this circle a bit more unique." She explained as Jaune nodded.
"Right, anyone has any advice before we go on?" He asked looking at his companions. When none of them said anything, he looked at Zdrada who gave a lazy smile.
"Don't look at me for hints, I ain't a nerd." She said as she lit another cigarette, "Maybe try killing yourself on some spikes? That'll be amusing." She took a long drag of her cigarette as Ruby grumbled.
"My sister's always like that. I can't believe you actually invited her…" She said putting her hand on her forehead.
"Yeah. What were you thinking man?" Yang asked as she exhaled large smoke with a grin.
"Yeesh Yang, way to be mean." Nora said, scowling at the scene.
"I know that I got some problems, but that version is a damn bitch." Yang said.
"Watcher wasn't kidding when he said she was mean spirited. I wouldn't want someone like that as my friend." Ren said, getting nods from others.
"I'm glad that you invited Malinka here though." He raised an eyebrow when he heard that.
"Malinka?" Yang gestured to Ruby.
"It's what I like to call her sometimes. Honestly she spends too much time in her room, all alone and playing the most nerdy of games with no one but herself." She said, as Ruby groaned at her words.
"Hey, that's a lot like Ruby, except she spends too much time with her weapon and doesn't go out much unless it involves weapons." Yang chuckled as Ruby pouted.
"I'm not that bad." Yang raised an eyebrow.
"Your first reaction in coming to Beacon was looking at everyone's weapons and wanting to explore them and I bet that you showed Jaune your weapon minutes after you met him." Ruby looked away with a small blush as Yang rubbed her sister's head.
"Can you please shut up, Zdrada?" He guessed that was her nickname for Yang. Did they know more than one language?
"You know at times I wonder if she has a fetish of sorts. Do you know how turned on she gets when playing those games? There is that one time when she-"
"Kill one of us. Me or her. Please." Ruby said, glaring at Yang and Jaune as her sister laughed merrily. Jaune considered killing both just to get them to quiet down.
"Just leave them be." Glynda said from the side, "You'll get used to it. Eventually." He hoped he would. Refocusing on the road, he saw many boulders on his way as well as spikes and several undead. It won't be an easy one that's for sure, but then again when was life ever easy?
One puzzle and a final ritual tablet later, Jaune stood in front of someone he never expected to see in Hell.
Standing before him was a black haired girl with an orange streak in her hair wearing a white, almost militaristic outfit with no sleeves and yellow lines on her collar, gloves and down the middle of her shirt. A necklace under the collar of her uniform holding a square cross under it. But most of all was her halo floating over her head.
A literal angel in front of him…in Hell of all places.
"Wait, wait, wait. What's an angel doing in Hell, should they be up there?" Weiss asked Watcher.
"Well, she has her own reasons. You will learn soon enough."
"Oh my heavens!" The angel exclaimed looking at him with wide eyes, "What is a living human doing in the place of sinners? How unusual." Even her voice sounded angelic as she looked him over.
"I'm…looking for demons." He said uncertainly as his companions caught up to him. The angel suddenly had a smile as she took out a notebook.
"Oh, you are searching as well?" She seemed to be a bit more chipper, although he could see her sweating a bit, "Let me guess, thesis on Modern Sin or perhaps Demonology?" She asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Actually, I'm trying to form a harem of demon girls." He said as the angel looked curious.
"Oh, most unusual. Do you mind if I join you? We both could benefit from this." She said as she looked at the demons. Jaune thought over it before nodding.
"Sure, the more the merrier. Welcome, uh…" He forgot to ask her name.
"I'm Penny, at least that was my name. Now everyone knows me as Azazel." She said as she extended a hand to shake.
"Right, welcome to our journey Azazel." An angel added to the harem, though it would depend on a lot of things. Nevertheless, he would be a fool to not add her.
"Penny being an angel? I expected someone like Ruby to be honest." Blake said as several nodded.
"Hey, I'm 15 not 5! I know about adult stuff, stop treating me like I'm younger!" The young girl said to her teammate as her sister chuckled.
"Ruby, you might be 15 but you never really tried to do any intimate or adult stuff, what we mean is that if someone offered to take you on a date or if you tried asking someone out, you would probably be stuttering or worse. You don't really have social experience." Ruby opened her mouth to retort but nothing came out and she gave her sister a stink eye.
"Still, I'm curious why Penny is here. Then again Miss Goodwitch is here as well so we probably shouldn't be surprised."
"I have a bigger question: why is there a circle for Heretics? What would qualify someone as a heretic? And does this mean Penny is a heretic even though she is an angel?" Weiss asked, wondering how it worked.
"The Circle of Heresy is kinda different really." Watcher said, "Then again, the lower circles are all different to the upper ones. Heresy in this case implies that the person has consistently denied God's existence, lost their faith and forsaken God or tried to do something against the religion. This Circle also applies to those who worship Satan since they indirectly oppose God. A crime against the soul so to speak."
"So if I denied God's existence in that world would I be in this circle?" Ren asked as Watcher hummed in thought.
"Well, it's complicated and I'm not a hundred percent sure but you probably will."
"Sounds like fanaticism really."
As they left the Circle of Heresy and towards the next one, Jaune looked at Penny/Azazel out of the corner of his eye. The angel seemed to be in conversation with the demons and writing anything she could. What caught his eye though is that she seemed to have an excited blush on her face. She seemed so innocent and out of place in a place for sinners and as she came up to Blake who still clung to his arm, a thought struck him.
"Pe-Azazel." She looked up at him, "I have a question if you don't mind me asking." She tilted her head but shook her head.
"I don't. What is it you wanted to know?"
"Why were you in the sixth circle?" She blinked up at him, "I mean isn't the Sixth Circle a place for Heretics? Were you placed there because you lost faith or…?" He trailed off as she had a look of realization.
"Oh no my human friend! I'm here because I was allowed to do research for my thesis! Believe it or not, angels do come to Hell from time to time. Before you found me I was just looking for demons in the upper Circles and ended up in the Sixth Circle. I thank you for finding me though, as I'm getting more research than I possibly imagined." She said as she showed her notes and he smiled.
"Uh, no problem. Glad that I could help." She nodded as they arrived at the new Circle. Jaune whistled at the sight of many undead, not to mention a river of blood, a dead forest and…was that a burning desert? And were those souls suffering in each one?
"The Seventh Circle, Violence. You can see why." Glynda automatically said as Jaune nodded.
"Violence? What makes violence so bad that it is in Seventh Circle?" Pyrrha wondered as Watcher sighed.
"Because Violence in its own right is wasteful to Life itself. Those who committed the sin of violence did so with the assumption that they can take away life and the means of sustaining it." Ruby raised an eyebrow.
"I don't get it." Watcher shook his head.
"What I'm trying to say is that if someone assumes they can take away someone's life because they can, they will be sent to the seventh circle. This applies to murderers, plunderers, tyrants and generally all those who wrought violence upon the innocent. In fact, the boiling river of blood is for those kinds of people, the blood they have on their hands now boils them for all eternity." Their eyes widened in surprise.
"Wow, takes a whole new meaning on the words 'covered in blood.'" Yang said before looking back at the screen, "What about that dead forest?"
"The Suicide Forest. As the name implies, is for those who committed violence against themselves, there they are turned into gnarled, thorny trees to suffer for selfishly throwing away their lives. Their hopes of ending the pain in life made all the worse, denied Paradise for they wasted their lives." Watcher somberly told, making the seven pity the ones who suffered.
"And the desert?" Blake asked.
"The Burning Sands. A place for those who committed violence against God, against Art and Nature, here they suffer crouch huddled and weeping, their skin burning to suffer for their crimes against God."
"So who should I expect here?" He asked his companions, most of which shrugged.
"There isn't really anyone in the Seventh Circle…though one does come here to check on things. Her shift is today so you will find her somewhere here." Glynda told him and he sighed as he looked at the road ahead of him, full of spikes, boulders and undead.
"This one looks tricky. You might need to do some testing to find the perfect route." Azazel said as she stood next to him.
"Thanks, I noticed." He replied as she went back to the group, "This is gonna suck."
"Please, take your time. Miss Blake here is sharing with me her warped view on love." Azazel said as she stood next to Blake.
"Moderation is important, if you love someone too much, they might die." He heard Blake say and shook his head as he knew exactly what she meant.
"Wow, your other has no understanding of the word subtle. She practically says: too much fucking can kill you." Yang commented as Blake sighed.
"I like reading one book and everyone thinks I'm a damn pervert because of this. What next? Do people think I go into Heat or something because I'm a faunus?" She asked as Watcher chuckled.
"Believe it or not, in some worlds that does happen." She looked at him in shock, "The effects range from mild discomfort at best and full on sex drive at worst. In many cases, Jaune or your partner here ends up being the victim of that phase, which leads to babies, which leads to pissed off parents which then leads to…well you get the idea." Blake asked for a book and it appeared on her lap as she then began to bang her head on the cover while others sweat dropped at her actions.
"How interesting. Expand on that please, I wish to know all the details." Penny/Azazel said as she wrote everything down.
"The door to her office should be here, you just need to find the key." Glynda said and he nodded while cracking his neck.
"Here I go." He then marched forward, evading the skeletons, spikes and pushing boulders as he pushed forward to his destination. Reaching the key, he then had to backtrack and push aside more boulders to unveil a golden door, which he then opened as his companions came up beside him.
In front of him stood a woman wearing a black suit jacket, unbuttoned and around her shoulders. Underneath is a red sleeveless shirt and a black tie with two clips attaching it to her shirt. Black pants covered her lower half, a belt on her waist and red fingerless gloves on her hands with the letters HPJ on the metal part of the wrist. Her hair white hair is tied in a ponytail, sunglasses covered her eyes as she stood with a hand on her hip.
She looked up as they entered, hand on her chin as she looked at Jaune.
"Yo, did you solve that puzzle? That's awesome." She told him as Jaune smiled.
"It took some work, what with the place being messy but I managed it." He said scratching the back of his head, "What's your name by the way?" She grinned as she looked at him.
"Name's Justice, the awesome Demon. So what brings you here?" She asked in re
"Justice? I expected Pyrrha or someone else really. Is she a version of Ren or Pyrrha?" Nora asked and Watcher shook his head.
"No, Justice is not a different version of any of you, she is just…Justice and she is awesome." He said with a chuckle, "No one can replace Justice." He muttered, sighing with a small smile.
"Well, if she isn't Pyrrha or Weiss that means we will see their version pretty soon right?" Ren asked and Watcher nodded.
"Well, I'm here to gather a harem of Demon girls. You want to join?" She grinned at him.
"You don't have to ask, no way am I missing this party." She confidently said as Jaune smiled.
"Welcome to the party, Justice." Another girl, another step forward to his dream, only two circles left.
"Hey girls! Been a while since we had a party, huh?" Justice asked the rest as they all greeted her differently, with Cerberus crowding around her.
"Who else do I need to get Glynda?" Glynda looked at her clipboard before looking at him.
"Only two, our leader and one other." He gulped, knowing who the leader was and somewhat doubting his persuading skills.
"W-Well, let's go then." Cerberus, Azazel and Justice cheered as they left the Circle of Violence to get to the eighth Circle.
"You said before that my father would probably end up in the Eighth Circle." Weiss said as Watcher nodded, "Why is that? What is the Eighth Circle?" Watcher hummed as he crossed his arms.
"Fraud." Weiss raised an eyebrow, as did others.
"I don't follow." Watcher sighed before creating ten ditches in a descending order inside a giant circle and a plush of Jacques, Robyn Hill and someone else.
"The Circle of Fraud is for those who are guilty of deliberate evil, knowing it would lead to ruination of others as well as, manipulating, deceiving and lying to others for personal gain. Because there are many types of those people, there are ten ditches or bolgias for each person with appropriate punishment. He pointed to the first ditch.
"Panderers and Seducers, who exploited the passions of others." He pointed to the second.
"Flatterers, who exploited other people." He pointed to the third.
"Simony, those who did favors against the church." He pointed to the next one.
"Diviners, they who are said to be fortune tellers." He pointed to the fifth.
"Grafters also known as Barrators, corrupt politicians who made money by trafficking in public offices." Weiss frowned at that as Watcher pointed to the sixth.
"Hypocrites, they who seem virtuous and holy on the outside but are deceitful to the end on the inside." He pointed at the seventh ditch.
"Thieves, who stole other people's substance in life." They frowned at the description as Watcher pointed to the eighth.
"Evil Counsellors, who used their forked-tongues to advise others to engage in fraud." He pointed to the ninth.
"Sowers of Discord, they who ripped apart a fabric of society to gratify their egotism." Weiss clenched her fists as Watcher pointed to the last ditch.
"Falsifiers, the 'disease' upon society, be they imposters, counterfeiters or perjurers, they all suffer in the last ditch." He finished as he put the plush figures of Robyn Hill and Jacques on the fifth ditch while putting the third on the last ditch.
"What makes Fraud so bad?" Ruby asked and Watcher sighed.
"Because those who suffer in the circle were all under assumption they could corrupt and manipulate all that God has created. This makes it worse than Violence since by manipulating others, they also create Violence as well as the other sins. Only one is worse but we will get to it later."
"I wonder how they will handle themselves in Eighth Circle or how it looks." Blake said wondering how it looked.
Which ended up being a massive disappointment.
"Couldn't you have just said that there is no one in the Circle of Fraud before we went there?" He told Glynda as he left the Circle towards the last one, annoyed that they wasted time.
"You didn't ask." She simply told him and he groaned as he massaged his temple.
"Can't believe I saw so many people in there. You would think you know a good politician but no! Apparently, all politicians are bad." He muttered as he and his party came up to the ninth gate.
"Cheer up, big guy. At least you finally got to the final Circle where you can get our boss." Justice said as she came up beside him, "Honestly I want to see how you will seduce the big lady, maybe I should bring a maid costume?" Jaune grinned at her enthusiasm as he came up to the gate and opened it.
What he saw was a large office with a lot of skeletons undead before him all in a line, in front of a desk. All stood ready for a fight but Jaune simply deadpanned and walked around them and kicked them in the front before standing in front of the desk.
"Really? That's the best they could come up with?" Weiss deadpanned as she shook her head at the undead skeletons.
"Well, they don't seem to have any intelligence beyond 'Attack' so I guess it's not surprising." Pyrrha said, also dumbfounded at the stupid idea.
"Well, let's see who the big boss is?" Yang said as they leaned closer.
The person behind the desk made Jaune's breath hitch as she looked at her. Simply put, she was beautiful, long white hair worn tied at the end, bangs kept in place by a spiked headband, her horns are white and jagged and a small scar over her left eye, something which, in his mind, added to her beauty.
The clothes she wore showed her high status, a black suit with a red collared shirt underneath, a black tie, gloves on her hands and a Sigil on her lapel, her tail swinging behind her.
"Wow, Weiss is Satan!" Ruby said looking at the other Weiss.
"So I'm a leader of Hell? I must admit, despite the…questionable job, I'm sort of pleased." Weiss said, looking at her other version. She appreciated the sharp and professional look before hearing Yang chuckle.
"She might be you, but she still has one thing or rather, two things that stand out about her." She said as Weiss looked at her.
"You mean that she is a devil and that she is a leader?" Yang shook her head and gave her a shit-eating grin.
"Nope, the OTHER two things." Weiss looked confused until Yang came closer and poked her in the chest. After a second, Weiss had an embarrassed look.
"I'm still growing!" She shouted as she swatted her hand away and covered her chest while Yang laughed at the look on her face.
"I swear Weiss, you are so easy to tease!" She said as the blonde laughed to her heart's content.
"I'm not into girls, but you gotta admit Weiss is really beautiful here." Nora said as her boyfriend raised an eyebrow.
"What's with you?" he asked as Nora shook her head.
"I don't know, I just look at her and I feel like I'm looking at something terrible yet beautiful at the same time." She said as Yang chuckled.
"Sounds like our Weiss." She said and got a smack on her arm from the heiress.
"I think it's because of who she once was." Watcher said as Nora turned to him, "Weiss or Lucifer as she is known here used to be God's most glorious angel. Hell, the name 'Lucifer' means 'light bringer' cause she was so beautiful, anyone who saw her could not believe the beauty before them but just like Weiss here, Lucifer suffered from the same fatal flaw and paid for it." He said as Weiss looked amazed.
"What was her fatal flaw?" Blake asked as Watcher chuckled.
"Pride." Their looks changed to surprise, "Lucifer wanted to ascend Heaven, wanted to rule all over the universe whilst on a throne above God, so she gathered her followers and rebelled against the being who was essentially her father. Because of this, her brother Michael struck her down and God sent her to Hell where she became the Queen of Hell and the creator of Demons. Her fall from Heaven created sin in humans and to this day, she rests in the Ninth Circle and became the first Fallen Angel." He finished his tale as the seven were floored by the story.
"Wow, Christianity sure has some interesting stories." Ruby said as Watcher shrugged.
"Eh, every religion has them. Greek's depiction of Gods will pretty much make you hate them, some others will have your head spinning and even us-Watchers have our own God, which is kinda hard to explain. Now let's get back to the screen." He said as they turned back to it
She had a glass of wine in hand which she swirled with a bored look as two large skeletons, bigger than the ones he fought appeared behind her with crossed arms and angry expressions before their boss slowly looked up at him.
"We finally met." She faced him with a smug smile on her face, "You've proven yourself worthy by passing all my trials." Her voice angelic as she seemed to be proud of his success.
"Uh, thanks." Jaune responded as he looked at her, unable to break his gaze.
"I have seen your travels and I know what you are here for." She continued as she had a small smirk, "Pledge your soul to me and I'll make you my most treasured slave." Her voice was full of confidence as she knew that this man like many others would fall like a dog.
"And it seems like she is exactly what I expected her to be." Blake said, drawing a look from Weiss.
"You know that I'm not like that right?" She asked and received a nod.
"I meant that when I first met you I thought you would like Lucifer here and I'm glad that you aren't." She gave a small smile at the heiress, "I'm just saying that Lucifer or Weiss or whatever she calls herself here is not only acting like how you did back then but she is also much worse than you." Weiss sighed looking at the screen.
"Honestly, I'm glad I stopped being like that as well, this just reminds of those bad times." The heiress felt a hug from the side and turned to see Ruby hugging her.
"Don't worry Weiss, we don't blame you. We just had a bit of a hard time warming you up." Yang giggled at her words while Weiss rolled her eyes.
"Sure, Ruby." She pushed her away as the girl smiled.
Throughout all this, Pyrrha had a slight frown, shooting a glance at Weiss before shaking her head.
Jaune almost agreed as he heard the 'pledge' part but after she finished her sentence, he snapped out of the gaze, looked at his current harem before looking back.
"No, thanks. I would rather keep my soul." She frowned at his answer, "But you can join my harem, live in the human world, with your fellow demons the whole she-bang." She cocked her hip to the side, looking positively annoyed.
"What are you trying to accomplish? Who do you think you are to come here and try to seduce me?" She looked over at the gathered demons before looking back at him, "You think you can enslave demons to your will? Sorry to burst your bubble but all of them can tear you to shreds before you can even blink." She told him bluntly, as Jaune winced before clearing his throat.
"Well, I can offer coffee," Lucifer caught Glynda looking up at the mention of coffee, "turn based strategy games," she resisted an urge to roll her eyes as she looked at annoyed Ruby and smug Yang, "As well as chocolate pancakes." At the mention of that, her attention went to him as he looked at her with his eyes hidden behind his glasses.
"Really? Is that it?" her voice is one of disbelief, "You come here and try to win me over with pancakes? Me, the Queen and CEO of all Hell?"
"I have to agree with her. He is kind of an idiot to try and convince her with chocolate pancakes of all things." Ren said, not really understanding Jaune's plan.
"No that's genius! Think about it!" Nora said as she turned to him, "Who would ever refuse pancakes? Especially chocolate pancakes? They are so tasty, it's a sin to not try them! And since it's a sin that means demons must like them!" She said as they gave her weird looks.
"What you just said does not make any sense. At all. Why would a demon, especially the Queen of demons like pancakes?" Weiss asked incredulously as Nora had an angry pout.
"You guys just don't get it!" She said as she sat down with arms crossed.
Jaune stood silent, sweating slightly before Lucifer smiled.
"You're lucky I have a thing for pancakes." He released a breath he didn't know he was holding, "I think you've convinced me. This harem of yours may prove to be entertaining after all."
A large grin appeared on Jaune's face as he finally managed to get the Devil on his harem. Only thing left is to get out of Hell.
Weiss sat with a blank look on her face and her scarred eye twitched as she saw the scene before her.
"Uh, Weiss?" Ruby asked, poking her partner on the arm and getting no reaction. Suddenly Weiss stood up, took a deep breath and-
'Holy shit! Who knew that a heiress could swear like that! Did she just-Oh hell I can't believe she said that!' Watcher thought, shocked she would say such things.
For the sake of convenience, the other characters will comment and you dear readers can use your imagination.
'Holy! How does she know so many words?!' Yang thought while hearing Weiss's swears.
'She puts sailors to shame!' Blake thought, a wide-eyed look as she looked at the heiress.
'So much filth!' Ruby thought, her mind nearly traumatized.
'I never thought I would hear words like those in my life.' Ren thought blinking as Weiss kept cursing.
'Oh, I gotta learn that one! That one too! Holy, where does she come up with those words?! I gotta learn all of these!' Nora thought of writing the insults down.
'I-I. Dear goodness, such a colorful language!' Pyrrha thought, backing away from Weiss a bit.
"-NONSENSICAL, IDIOTIC PLAN!" Weiss said as she finished her long rant of curses and panted before she plopped down on her seat. The white haired girl felt slightly tired but still satisfied after letting her frustration out.
"I apologize for my behavior. I simply couldn't keep my disbelief." She told others who waved her off.
"Don't worry about it Weiss." Yang said.
"Yeah, we don't blame you." Ruby followed as Blake nodded.
"Thank you."
"I can show you the exit out of Hell, although it might be messy." She said as she went around the desk and towards the door with Jaune along with the other demons following her. As they left, Jaune got a good view of the Ninth Circle outside of Lucifer's office. He gulped as he saw many people frozen in a giant lake of ice. Some froze up to their necks, some up to their faces and some lay completely frozen within the lake. Four huge chains emerging from the lake and extending up to Lucifer's office as well as several giants who stood like statues.
"Lake Cocytus." Lucifer said as he looked at her, "They who commit the worst crimes suffer within this lake till the end of time with no way to get out." She said as Jaune saw her look at the lake with indifference.
"What is the sin for the Ninth Circle that people suffer in a frozen lake?" Weiss asked as Watcher's eyes narrowed.
"I will answer with a question: What do you believe is the worst sin a human can do to another human?" The seven looked confused with each having different thoughts.
"I don't know, murder?" Yang said shrugging to which Watcher shook his head.
"Torture?" Ruby asked as Watcher shook his head no.
"Discrimination?" Blake asked, getting a deadpan look.
"No." Weiss thought further before remembering what they heard about Lucifer.
"I know the answer." She said as they looked at her, "God cast down Lucifer for she rebelled against him, therefore the sin…is Treachery." She said as Watcher smiled.
"Correct," He created a small version of the Ninth Circle, "The Ninth Circle of Treachery is the lowest, blackest and the furthest from Heaven. This is where all who betrayed their friends, families, countries, guests and even their own masters suffer eternally alongside Lucifer for their betrayal." Watcher's eyes glowed as he explained the Circle with most of the students thinking that the torture was justified while one felt it went too far.
"Isn't it a bit too far?" Ruby asked as Watcher turned to her.
"Ruby, if someone befriended you then proceeded to betray you by killing all of your family and friends would you forgive them?" Silver eyes widened as Ruby shook her head.
"Traitors, especially those who betrayed good people cannot be forgiven. Their Pride led them to betraying the trust of all they were friends with, something that is treasured beyond measure. To break that bond is to tarnish everything those people had done for you." He then made a 3D recreation of the Nine Circles and pointed to the Second Circle.
"Treachery is the cause of all the previous sins, those who fall to Lust betray their spouses." He pointed to the third and fourth.
"Those who fall to Gluttony and Greed betray their family for excess food and money." He pointed to the fifth.
"They who fell to anger and acted on impulse broke their trust with all their friends." He pointed to the sixth circle.
"They who deny the existence of God and worship the Devil betrayed their souls and God's trust." He pointed to the seventh Circle.
"Violence made many betray all who they worked for; they turned their blades against their companions and comrades." He pointed to the Eighth Circle.
"The sin of Fraud leads to betrayal for all those who suffer in ten ditches have inevitably broken the trust of their masters, and all who they worked with or all who trusted them." He pointed to the last Circle.
"The sin of Treachery is the worst of all because treachery was the first sin to have ever been committed against God when Lucifer turned against him with the other sins following soon after. Any who commit treachery lose their souls while a demon possesses their bodies." He made the 3D recreation disappear and looked at them with glowing eyes radiating power.
"There is no sin greater than Treachery, for all who betray humanity, themselves and God are the worst of the worst. For that, they suffer in the Lake Cocytus, made from Lucifer's own tears and frozen from the rapid flapping of her wings. Till the end of time they shall suffer, frozen but still living, the chilling winds freezing their tears and their apologies to God unheard." A cold wind passed over the room with both teams feeling shivers go down their spines.
"W-What about the chains?" Ruby asked as Watcher chuckled.
"They represent four kinds of betrayal. Caina, named after Cain who committed the first murder by killing his brother. Antenora, named after a general Antenor who betrayed his country. Ptolomaea, named after Ptolemy, who betrayed his guests after inviting them. And finally, Judecca, named after Judas, the man who betrayed Jesus Christ and caused him to get crucified, he who hung himself from shame but now suffers the worst punishment in all of Hell." The seven had wide eyes at all the information and punishment.
"To think such a cruel punishment awaited the treacherous." Pyrrha said as Watcher sighed.
"To be fair, you wouldn't really like it if someone betrayed your trust and nearly killed your loved ones. Trust me I know, I've seen what some of your versions did to Cinder and her associates and then there is that one version of Jaune who condemned them to Hell by using his ancestor's Semblance. Point is: no one likes to be betrayed so don't feel any sympathy for anyone in the Ninth Circle."
As Jaune walked through the cold Circle, following Lucifer with his companions behind him, they eventually reached the place that Lucifer spoke about and it was a mess.
Boulders lying around, a locked golden door in front of a giant gate, coupled with skeletons lying around.
"…Is there any other way out of Hell?" He asked Lucifer who looked at him with a raised eyebrowю
"You are the one who wants to get out with all of us so you better try to come up with and fast. I don't want to sit here all day." She looked at the road and grimaced, "Just look at all this mess, looks like nobody used the hell's gate in quite some time." She looked at him.
"I wonder how you got here with all this mess." Justice chuckled next to him.
"Seems like he can do miracles if he managed to get you out of the office." Lucifer had a smile at that.
"True, he is the first to not take the slave offer like many others before him." Justice giggled.
"For a moment I thought he would give that offer to you. That would have been funny." Lucifer frowned at her words.
"Justice, don't give people ideas that will get them killed." Justice frowned and simply put her hand on her chin.
"Oh come on. I'm sure you would enjoy some maid roleplay." Lucifer gave Jaune a blank look, making it clear she will not appreciate that. The blonde man sweated slightly under her gaze, then looked back at the road before stretching himself.
"Justice and Lucifer seem to be friends." Blake noted.
"Given how she seems older than the other demons, it is possible they knew each other longer." Ren theorized.
"I'm more curious as to why Lucifer-Weiss has white horns. Is it because of her age?" She turned towards Watcher who nodded.
"She is the first to become a Demon so her horns are white which signify her age. Justice is an old companion of hers but there is one other like her." They had looks of curiosity.
"Who is it?"
"You will see for yourselves."
"Finally." Jaune sighed as he removed the boulder from the gate's entrance. A key in his hand, his harem stood behind him as they watched the man who had taken most of Hell open the gates of Hell once again. Jaune stood proud before looking back at his gathered harem.
"Well, come on. We still have a lot of-"
A 'chink' sound followed by pain stopped him and he looked down to see a chain coming out of his chest. It left no wound but still hurt nonetheless.
"YOU TRULY THOUGHT YOU COULD JUST WALK AWAY?! AFTER ALL YOU HAVE DONE?!" He looked at his companions and none of them had looks of surprise with Lucifer looking like she expected it.
"Wha-?" He couldn't finish as the chain dragged him into the gate, the over enthusiastic laugh of his captor as the demons followed him.
"Who or what was that?" Pyrrha asked, hearing a familiar if distorted voice.
"Oh, you will see. You will see." Watcher chuckled, waiting for their reaction.
Jaune felt like he died a thousand deaths over and over, the biting flames began to subside yet as he looked at himself, he noticed he was still alive.
"What's going on?" He wondered before hearing a voice.
"I ONLY JUST FOUND YOU TRESPASSER SO DON'T DIE ON ME YET!" A distorted mad voice said as Jaune felt a shiver go down his spine, "WE WILL SPEND A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER, YOU AND I!" Thunder clapped above him the sky lighting up as the sole man looked up. Two arms raised up in the air, covered by metal gauntlets with clawed fingers, built in batons on the gauntlets before the hands clenched into fists and brought down revealing the one who spoke to him.
Her skin is a darker tone compared to the others, though her hair is just as white with a red streak tied to a ponytail, a pair of jagged horns with two spikes on each. Her eyes are white rather than red and even her outfit is different, a suit jacket ripped around the waist area to show her toned abdomen, underneath the jacket is a bra without a center connection exposing her boobs to a degree. She seemingly had no shame as she only wore underwear without pants but had a belt with a pentagram medallion on a chain attached to it as well as a red sash. Thigh high boots on her legs with armor around the calves, belts around her thighs and a pair of heels.
Overall, if she tried going for shock and awe, he was certainly shocked and awed.
"WELCOME SINNER! I'M JUDGEMENT, THE HIGH PROSECUTOR!" She said as she then made a pose with hands at her sides, an excited grin on her face as chains appeared around her, "AND IT'S THE LAST THING YOU'LL REMEMBER OF ME!"
"Holy!" Yang said seeing the demon before her.
"Shit!" Ren cursed knowing Jaune was in trouble.
"Exclamation mark!" Nora suddenly shouted, drawing weird looks from others.
"Wha-?" Pyrrha muttered looking at the demon who was probably a version of herself. Really, if controlling chains didn't give it away, then the outfit surely did, especially the sash.
"How-How can she walk around in that outfit?" Weiss asked, scandalized while Watcher snorted.
"You, Ruby and Nora walk around in combat skirts that everyone can look up to see your panties. Yang walks around looking like a street girl. Blake looks like a damn emo, Ren could be a girl if he let his hair down and Pyrrha shamelessly walks around in one of the most atrocious armors I have ever seen in my entire extended life and looks like a damn pole stripper rather than a warrior. All the while wearing a mini skirt that allows others to see her panties whenever she does a kick or lifts up a leg. Maybe you should rethink your outfit choices before judging someone on theirs." Yang had an angry look at his comment while Blake and Ren sighed at his judgement. Weiss had a sight blush while Ruby's hands went to the hem of her skirt. Pyrrha though had a crimson blush as she covered her chest and thighs.
'If it makes you feel any better, know that Jaune saw your boobs during the initiation when you impaled him to the tree.' Watcher mentally told her, enjoying the sight of her face turning redder.
"Holy shit." Jaune muttered as he heard rumbling around him. The structure area began to split as chains appeared on either side.
"IGNITE THE SIN MACHINE! SUFFERING MUST BE MADE!" Judgement said as chains began to appear while the ground began to move underneath him. The chains began to get closer forcing Jaune to start ducking to not get caught, although one of the chains still got him. To make matters worse there were spike so he had to be careful where he ducked. Eventually the machine stopped as two huge chains appeared on it, the chains of Superbia or Pride. He went to the first one and broke it off the machine before doing the same to the other one.
Judgement landed on the platform above him looking at him with an excited grin.
"HOW DO YOU LIKE THE SIN MACHINE TRESPASSER?!" Judgement asked, "SURRENDER AND LET IT CONSUME YOU!" He could feel a searing pain where the chain hit him but he wasn't going to give up so easily.
"No, wait! Don't give up! You still need to get us out of here!" Cerberus said one after another.
"And you promised me coffee." Glynda said adjusting her glasses, making Jaune release a tired sigh.
"ABANDON ALL HOPE! HIS FATE IS SEALED!" Judgement said, turning away from them, allowing Jaune to admire her ass and see the XX on the back of her jacket.
Pyrrha blushed again, thoughts of doing that to Jaune in her mind as Watcher groaned in frustration.
'Seriously? Even lust? Come on.' He thought, reinforcing her weakening force field.
"Judgement, this man might not know it but he belongs to me. Maybe try not damaging him too much?" Lucifer asked as Judgement whirled around.
"SILENCE!" Her words surprised Lucifer, "TRUE SUFFERING IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!" The machine rumbled once more as Jaune sweat dropped.
"Again? Come on." He muttered as he began to dodge the chains again. It proved to be harder as the chains appeared faster and more frequently than the last time, not to mention in weird patterns as well. He got himself hit again and as the machine stopped, two giant chains appeared like last time. The chains of Avarice. He went to the first one and broke it but got by a chain surprising him. When he looked at the second one, he noticed that chains kept appearing in front of it and quickly closing in on him. He ducked, rolled and jumped to avoid them and stood before the second large chain before breaking it. Once more, Judgement jumped down.
"THOSE CHAINS THAT BIND YOU ARE MADE OF THINGS THAT BROUGHT YOU HERE." She said, leaning on the platform, a smile on her face, "YOUR EGO. YOUR GREED. YOUR LUST. YOU ARE YOUR OWN TORTURER HERE." She said as Jaune couldn't help but agree. He did think he would get a demon harem no problem and it's not like he didn't have inappropriate thoughts but still.
"Well, looks like his decision is biting him in the arse sooner than we thought." Blake said as Nora giggled.
"Heh, you said arse. That sounds funnier than ass for some reason." She said, getting a sigh from the faunus.
"That aside, I think I can say for certain that Jaune isn't gonna come out of this one unscathed…or alive for that matter." Weiss said, not really sure if his mission will be completed.
"Eh, let's give the guy some faith. He already went this far so let's not start thinking negatively already." Yang said, taking a bite of her sandwich.
"Yes, let's just hope he winds." Pyrrha said, still covering her chest with one hand.
"That's enough! High Prosecutor!" Judgement and Jaune looked over at Lucifer who now had attention of all the demons around her, "As the Queen and CEO of Hell and your boss, I order you to stand down now!" She said sternly, confident that she would listen.
Judgement had a shocked look before it changed to one of anger and annoyance. Lucifer meanwhile stood with closed eyes and crossed arms while Cerberus clapped hands for her attempt at authority.
"SILENCE!" Lucifer's eyes snapped open in surprise and she raised an eyebrow, "Eh?" Was all she could ask, not believing that she was told off like that.
Jaune saw chains appear, nearly skewering him and he looked up at Judgement having an angry look on her face.
"NO AUTHORITY STANDS ABOVE PUNISHMENT! NOT EVEN YOU LUCIFER." She said as the machine began to rumble again.
"WOOH! Keep going Judgement! You are on a roll!" Justice cheered grinning at the events while Lucifer stood behind her with a blank look.
"Yes, please continue! This is by far an A+ research material!" Penny/Azazel said writing things down.
Lucifer looked at them with a shocked look before her face turned red and slight tears appeared in her eyes.
"I'm supposed to be the goddamn Queen of Hell!" She raised her head up in frustration, "Why is nobody ever listening to me?!" She shouted as the entirety of Hell shook from the sound of her shout while skeletons cowered in fear.
"HAHAHAHAHA! Even when you are a leader, no one listens to you Weiss! Hahaha!" Yang laughed in her seat along with Nora.
"Looks like being a leader isn't as good as you thought huh?" Blake asked Weiss as the girl face palmed while Ruby giggled.
"I admit, I had better expectations than…this." Weiss said, frustrated that even as her other was a leader, she didn't seem to be respected.
"Just because you are a leader, it doesn't mean that people will immediately respect and listen to you. You gotta prove that you can lead and in this case Weiss/Lucifer is…kinda bad at organizing everything." Watcher said, causing Yang to laugh again.
Despite the rather loud noise, the machine kept going forcing Jaune to move and not fall to the spikes. Things began to ramp up as the chains appeared faster and more with less than a second warning of the flashing light above and underneath him. Unfortunately, the chains got him twice, bringing him searing pain, which he had to tough out, as he couldn't stand in one place. The machine stopped again and Jaune had to move away from the patterning chains while two huge chains, The Chains of Luxuria appeared on either side of the machine. He saw the smaller chains move in a pattern and waited for a bit before moving to break one of the chains. With that done, he did the same to the second and broke it as well, Judgement landed on the platform once more.
"YOU TRULY THINK YOU CAN BREAK FREE OF THOSE SHACKLES?" She asked as chains appeared around her, "YOU FOOL. HOPE LEADS TO DISAPPOINTMENT AND DISAPPOINTMENT LEADS TO DESPAIR." The chains tightened around her making for a very…alluring sight what with her arms squeezing, making her breasts look bigger.
"CHAINS OF DESPAIR ARE THE MOST DELIGHTFUL." Jaune kept his gaze on her before hearing a chuckle from his companions.
"You must have some bad luck Rubes. You just found another nerd and he's already done for." Yang said as she took a drag from her cigarette getting a groan from Ruby.
"Knowing my luck, he probably played with Necropolis anyway." Hearing their banter and seeing Ruby's glare made Jaune sigh as he kneeled on one knee to catch his breath.
"I should have kept him for myself after all…" Jaune had a deadpan look as he looked at the frowning Blake, her words not helping with his earlier impression of her.
"You know, now that she said that, it makes me wonder…does she know anything about love at all?" Yang wondered about getting a look from her sister.
"What do you mean?" Yang sighed.
"Well, she always has a frown, she is a lustful demon and it seems there are no male demons around. Combine that with her words make me wonder, has she ever had any kind of affection or is she a definition of the 'I don't want to be horny anymore' meme that I've seen several times?" Her words had most of them confused while Blake hummed in thought.
"You think she just never had any experience of love and that she might actually be 'love starved' rather than lustful?" She asked her partner.
"Kind of like that." Watcher chuckled at that, deciding to not say anything.
"YES! THAT'S IT! REGRET IT ALL! REGRET EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER DONE!" Judgement suddenly said as Jaune looked up and opened his mouth.
"I like how you did your hair." He dumbly said, earning eye rolls from Lucifer and Glynda.
"He is facing death and the only thing he can think about is flirting? Really?" Weiss had a hand on her temple from all the weirdness and nonsense.
"Well, he might as well say everything about her if he is about to die." Ren said, knowing that inevitability of death makes one confess.
"LIEEEES! THEY WON'T SAVE YOU FROM YOUR FATE!" Judgement shouted at him as Jaune weakly smiled.
"I know. That's why I can be honest." He said as she simply put her face in her hands, hiding the tiny blush.
"I-IS THAT SO?" She had a slight stutter as she spoke, "IN THAT CASE, THANK YOU! I GUESS?" She sounded shy which Jaune found cute.
"Well, would you look at that? Pyrrha/Judgement seems to be shy like our own here." Nora said, smiling at the seemingly shy crack in her seemingly tough exterior.
"I guess her excitement for torture might be an act?" Pyrrha said/asked, wondering if Judgement had to put up a mask like she did.
She then jumped up as wings appeared behind her along with a giant circle.
"NOW LET'S GET BACK TO SUFFERING!" She shouted as the machine rumbled once more and Jaune prepared himself. Chains appeared again, faster and more leaving little to no room for error. His reflexes and agility put to the limit, Jaune endured two strikes from chains, evading all others, blood dripped from his nose as the machine finally stopped but the chains did not. They kept appearing in complex patterns with little room left to maneuver. What's worse was that there were now four large chains instead of two.
Thinking quickly, Jaune ran to the lower left chain and kicked it as hard as he could, breaking it and avoiding a spawning chain. He then ran to the upper left one and did the same, adrenaline pumped in his veins as he ran to the upper right chain and punched it several times breaking it but couldn't jump away in time from another chain that nearly drained him of his will. He evaded another one though and as his eyes settled on the last great chain, he made a desperate rush, a sign of the chains appearing above him as he reared back his arm as the chain drew closer.
With a resounding 'clang', he broke the last chain just as a chain erupted from the ground but only passed through him as Judgement jumped down.
"Well, Weiss it seems you were wrong once more." Yang said, drawing a groan from her teammate.
"It's impressive but also kind of foolish to go for a desperate gamble than think of a plan." Pyrrha said, not really happy he went for a gamble.
"Desperation and fatigue can make us make risky
choices." Watcher simply said, lying and floating in the air.
"IMPRESSIVE!" She said as she raised her claws, "ANY LAST WORDS BEFORE TRUE PAIN BEGINS?" He was tired and he had several wounds on him but he still stood up and looked at her with a smile.
"Only thing I regret is not seeking you sooner." He said with honesty as Judgement frowned as she pointed a clawed finger at him.
"QUIT YOUR CHEAP FLATTERIES! YOU ARE MAKING MY JOB DIFFICULT!" She told him as Jaune kept smiling while adjusting his glasses.
"I know, but damn you have amazing eyes." Judgement now had an annoyed look as she put a hand on her hip.
"Look, I don't really want to do this. But the pact has already been sealed," She showed him a bloody pentagram covered in his blood, "and nothing will prevent your damnation. What did you think would happen if you came to Hell and decided to free all the demons, including the one who should never be freed?" She gave him a pointed look and Jaune gave her a sheepish smile.
"Reality can be a harsh mistress." Blake muttered.
"I probably said this before but his plan is the most idiotic I have ever heard. How did he expect it to go? All sunshine and rainbows?" Weiss wondered aloud as Watcher chuckled darkly.
"Well, even if he did take only one demon he would still face punishment. No one can really leave Hell as God made sure that no one could. Honestly I expected things to go much worse than this." He told them, still surprised at the events.
"That being said…" She continued as she looked down at him, "I could postpone your torment for a few years, maximum five, on the condition that you leave and never disturb hell ever again." She made the machine stop as the chains disappeared. Jaune stood up as Judgement then pointed at the open Gate of Hell.
"CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY MORTAL FOR NO ONE GETS THIS PRIVILEGE! NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" She turned around and put her hands on her hips, sighing and expecting to hear footsteps.
Jaune's companions turned to see him looking at Judgement, confused as to why he stood there saying nothing.
"Hey, are you going to stand there all day? Come on, she let us leave!" Yang said as she blew smoke at his face but Jaune stood unflinching.
"Hello? Can you hear me, my slave?! We can go now!" Lucifer yelled at him but Jaune gently pushed her aside, "Hey!" She protested as she shoved his hand away.
"Why is he standing there? He got his harem, he should leave before she changes her mind." Weiss said, wondering why he wouldn't leave.
"Don't you remember?" Ren asked as Weiss turned to him, "He said at the beginning of his journey that he will get a harem of demon girls, he still hasn't finished his mission." Pyrrha raised an eyebrow.
"But he got his harem and was let free." Ren shook his head.
"All but one…" Her eyes widened as she realized what he meant…before a small blush appeared on her face.
"Oh, that's right! He still needs to get Judgement!" Ruby realized as Blake raised an eyebrow.
"How is he going to ask a High Prosecutor to join him. It's one thing to get the Queen of Hell but the High Prosecutor has got to be very important." Nora giggled.
"Never underestimate Jaune!"
Judgement turned around and saw him stand still in one place making her frown in anger.
"I SAID YOU ARE FREE! GET OUT OF HERE! BEGONE!" She screamed at him as Jaune's eyes narrowed.
"Listen girl," He said as he pointed at himself, "I'm here to do one thing and one thing only: to get a harem of demon girls and no way am I backing out. Problem is: I got nearly everyone here. Only YOU are left." He pointed at her making her eyes widen in surprise.
"WAIT, WHAT?! YOU WANT TO INVITE ME TO YOUR HAREM?! DON'T BE RIDICULOUS!" She crossed her arms.
"I said I'm not backing out and I'm not leaving until you join as well." He crossed his arms, surprising the others with how determined he was to get every one of them to join his harem. Even Lucifer stood shocked. Not thinking the fool before her was THAT determined.
"Oh please." Judgement put a hand on her hip as she looked at him with disbelief in her eyes, "You're telling me you'd share roof with an immortal avatar of pain, blood-sworn to torture and murder you?" She asked and to her shock, he nodded.
"Wouldn't want it any other way." His reply had her stunned as her arms fall limp to her sides.
"You…You are serious?" She asked with a blush as he nodded.
"Hoh hoh. Looks like P-Money there is already smitten. Then again, I'm not surprised." Yang said, sipping her drink.
"Believe it or not, Judgement/Pyrrha in spite of being a High Prosecutor is actually the kindest demon there. Problem is being a High Prosecutor and judging souls meant her kindness gave her lots of problems. So she picked up an over the top act and just learned to enjoy the show." Watcher said as Ren looked at Pyrrha who noticed his stare.
"Yes, I realize her similarity with me Ren, I noticed it the moment that Jaune complimented her." She told him and he nodded.
"Still, it's crazy how some versions of us are exactly like us!" Nora said, dragging her two teammates into a tight hug.
"Besides," Jaune pointed at his companions and current harem, "I already have worse demons than you and I'm prepared for whatever hell you girls will probably put me through." He said firmly, Judgement still stunned as she heard his answer.
"Well, seeing how far off proper ritual we are already…I might as well give it a shot." She finally said as Jaune smiled.
"Welcome to the harem, Judgement." She jumped down from the platform, landed right next to him and stretched her limbs.
"Well, since you got all of us, can we leave already?" Lucifer asked, still standing next to him and he nodded with a grin.
"Yes, we can." He jumped off the platform and went to leave hell, Blake still clinging to his side as the others followed him, leaving Hell to the mortal world.
Thus Jaune's journey has come to an end…
A picture is shown with Jaune bruised, bloodied and his clothes damaged with his harem standing beside him. A determined look on his face as the others either looked tired, had looks of indifference or simply smiled.
He successfully took demons from hell and made his harem. Henceforth for his actions he would be known throughout hell and to the girls as Helltaker, he who took Hell with his own hands.
"He did it, I can't believe it but he did it. I don't know what to think anymore." Weiss said, somewhat tired of the world and all the information.
"Hate to break it to ya, but that's not the end of the story." Watcher said as the pictures changed showing a surprising epilogue.
But it was not an easy life, in fact it was sure to be short and full of suffering…
Jaune sat on a chair leaning on a table and holding his head as a headache began to appear, a pack of painkillers next to him with a glass of water and a knife on his shoulder, bloodying his shirt. Yang sat next to him blowing smoke on his face while Ruby demanded more alcohol and Cerberus asking him something. He looked tired and unshaven with bloodshot eyes and bags under his eyes.
"Holy shit. That's one downer outcome." Yang commented seeing the look of exhaustion on Jaune's face.
"Yeah, well getting a demon girl harem can do that." Watcher said, knowing that this was one of the rare times a harem was fairly realistic.
But life was full of suffering no matter how he lived it…and he might as well have some fun while it lasted.
Jaune stood in a kitchen holding a plate full of chocolate pancakes as well as a cup of coffee and approached Lucifer who now wore an apron with the word 'SATAN' on it, ditching her jacket and putting her hair in a messy bun.
"Another batch of pancakes done I see." She cut a pancake to pieces and ate it, humming in delight, "And it's soooo good!" She said, a look of delight as she closed her eyes.
"Thanks for the help by the way." He said, even if he could still feel the pain where she stabbed him.
"Woah, Weiss. Way to be a tsundere." Yang said, chuckling at her reaction.
"I'm not, I'm sure my other just wanted to repay him." She said, annoyed with the constant teasing.
"Don't mention it. After all the trouble we give you, it's the least I can do for you." She said, waving him off.
"I appreciate that." He replied as Lucifer took another bite.
"Though I still wonder," She looked at him while still holding the pancakes, "How do you get these pancakes so perfectly thin every time." Jaune smiled in response.
"Experience." He replied as Lucifer rolled her eyes and took another bite.
"Sure. Better give everyone their pancakes." She said as Jaune went to give everyone their share. Starting with Blake who stood next to the bookshelf reading a book.
"Pancakes." He tried to get her attention but she still kept her focus on the book. A flustered expression on her face as she read the contents, Jaune read the cover and raised an eyebrow.
"You're reading a…romantic comedy?" He asked incredulously, noticing her slowly blushing face.
"I never heard of this romance stuff before. From the description given, it seems to be the kinkiest thing I have ever seen." Her voice started sounding husky, "Maybe I've been doing all this wrong?" She asked, the hearts in her eyes pulsing slightly.
"What? You want to go on a date?" He asked, shock on her face as she blushed red with steam coming out of her head as the hearts around her head bounced up and down.
"I knew it! You are such a perverted degenerate." She said, making Jaune sigh as he gave her a pancake, which she accepted.
"You know, in a way she does have a similarity to you Blake." Watcher said, getting her attention.
"If this is about me being a pervert then you are not the first to say that." She said, making him chuckle.
"No not that. I meant how you two view romance." She looked confused, "Blake in that world is very sexually active and lustful but knows very little, probably nothing about romance, yet seems to believe that she knows it. She may not know it but she kind of became love-starved, so to speak and her attempts at lust more often than not can be interpreted as her wanting affection since she gets none in hell, hence her being kind of possessive of Jaune when he fought Judgement/Pyrrha. You read a lot of books like her-"
"Cough, smut, cough." Yang interrupted getting an irritated look from both the faunus and Watcher
"-and you might think you know about romance since you were in a relationship," Watcher continued, "but you don't know as much as you think you do. Your ex is a mentally unstable, racist, homicidal maniac and your knowledge of romance is shaky at best. It doesn't help that your self-loathing keeps you from seeking romance, not helping the past experience and as such kind of makes you…love-starved, and you don't want to lose anyone you love so you do everything to make sure they don't get hurt." He finished, surprising Blake. She considered his words as part of her called it bullshit but a very small piece of her mind believed him.
"Mind you, this is my speculation of you. I'm not really the best psychologist, my only experience is with Reaper who is…all kinds of messed up but I did find it funny how you might have something in common with your other self." He finished
After that, he went to Justice, who simply relaxed in the corner.
"Pancakes." He said as Justice smiled.
"Sweet. Thanks big guy." She said as she took one and took a bite, "Say, I have a question." She said, making him raise his eyebrow.
"What is it?" She grinned and pointed at his face.
"The girls say that you never take off your shades. Mind telling me why?" She asked munching on her pancake.
"I could ask you the same question." He said, noticing her own glasses as Justice chuckled.
"Well, in my case," She lifted up her glasses, showing him blank white eyes, "It's cause I'm blind." Her response surprised him, he always thought she just wore them to look cooler not because she might be blind.
"Oh." He said as Justice put her glasses back on.
"She is blind? How did she see what Judgement did then? Does she even know what Jaune looks like?" Weiss didn't know how the blind could have seen what they saw.
"Maybe she can still see?" Ren suggested, "I mean, they can probably use magic so it's possible she is using some kind of alternate vision to see everything. Plus, she might have heard what they were doing so she assumed Judgement is fighting."
"Probably, if that world's Pyrrha can summon chains, Justice can probably do magic as well." Blake said, thinking of heat vision or echo-location.
"I think you guys are missing something funny here." Watcher said..
"What's that?" Ruby asked as he pointed at the screen.
"Justice is blind." They looked confused, "Think about it." Weiss's face scrunched up before she realized it.
"Oh, I see." Ruby turned to her.
"What? What do you see?" The heiress had a small smile as she turned to Ruby.
"You'll know soon enough Ruby." She said making Ruby pout.
"Hey come on! What did he mean?"
"That's my story. Care to share yours?" She asked as Jaune looked away.
"Maybe one day…" He answered, making her frown.
"Oh come on. The girls are already taking bets to see what you have under the glasses." She took a bit of her pancake, "I'm losing ten Lien if you don't have laser vision." She said, making him sweat drop before he moved on to the other residents. He noticed Glynda sitting at a table with papers and looking tired as ever, so he went to her.
"Pancakes and coffee." At the word 'coffee' she looked up and took the offered cup before drinking it as Jaune prepared himself for the inevitable. Soon enough, Glynda's horns lengthened, her posture straightened up and her face turned sadistic.
"Ah, the "tired demon" no longer." She said as Jaune felt a shiver go down his spine.
"Is it over-extracted again?" He asked.
"Oh no…it's quite good this time. You even filtered it properly." She took another sip, "Keep it up and you might still survive the day with no fingers broken." Jaune shivered, feeling the pain of the last time she had broken them.
"So she really is a sadist. That doesn't surprise me as much as I thought it would." Blake said as Yang scoffed.
"Told ya she was a sadist. Up high Nora!" the lightning maiden grinned, high fiving the brawler, "Hey how many of you want to bet that our Miss Goodwitch is a sadist as well?"
"Okay, now you are going too far Yang." Ren said preventing Nora from speaking and making things worse.
"But do feel free to mess it up though. The local hospital has patched you up well." She said, daring him to try and mess up.
"Next one at 5:15, double espresso, yes?" He said, trying to remember as Glynda lifted up her cup.
"It's your job to remember, not mine." She said as he went to Ruby, seeing her holding a phone with a frown on her face.
"Pancakes." She didn't look up, keeping her eyes on the screen.
"Do you know how hard it is to find new turn based strategies we could play? She scrolled down to see more options, "Almost everything mankind produced is either a half assed sequel or a shitty rip-off." An annoyed look appeared on her face, as Jaune looked interested.
"It wouldn't hurt to play them anyway. I would still want to anyway" He said as Ruby put her phone down.
"Unfortunately, I want to play as well." She took out a bottle of vodka, "We will need a lot of alcohol." He could tell it will be a difficult night.
"Ruby, I hope you aren't drinking alcohol behind my back." Yang said, giving Ruby a stern glare.
"Hey, don't start accusing me just because my other does that! I may love Uncle Qrow but I'm not gonna start drinking like he does or like 'Rose' for that matter." Yang kept her glare on Ruby before smiling and bringing her in for a noogie.
"That's good! And I better not see you drink till you are 18, got?" She asked, as Ruby tried to get away.
"Ow, ouch! Okay, sis okay!" Ruby kicked her legs, trying to free herself while the others smiled at seeing the two sisters playfully banter.
Jaune went to Yang next seeing her getting out a cigarette.
"Pancakes." He saw her trying to light the cigarette by snapping her fingers.
"Sure, but I could use a lighter right now." She said, trying to light a fire.
"No smoking in the house Yang." Jaune said sternly as Yang gave him a sultry smirk.
"Or what? You'll punish me?" She finally lit the cigarette, "Go ahead, I've been a very naughty girl." She took a long drag and exhaled smoke, making Jaune frown.
"You'd like that wouldn't you?" He asked, knowing her kinks as Yang had a slight blush on her face.
"Go screw yourself." She said, making him shrug as he left.
"Hey Yang. Are you REALLY sure that you aren't a masochist? After all, you don't know until you try." Watcher said with a shit-eating grin under his mask and stopped a chair thrown at him with a finger.
"Screw you." She said, a tiny blush on her face as she then glared at her teammates who either giggled or smiled at her getting teased.
"Now you know what that feels like." Weiss said, enjoying Yang's torment.
Jaune decided to go to Penny/Azazel who stood under the stairs.
"Pancakes." He got no responses and noticed that she had a traumatized look on her face.
"How long have I been here?" She asked no one in particular as Jaune looked confused.
"A few weeks." He answered, seeing her look catatonic.
"It feels like forever." She said as she kept staring into the distance, "The things I've seen…The things I've done…" Jaune realized that the nightly activities may have been a bit too much for her.
"Oh so they still do that stuff." Yang deadpanned confusing Ruby.
"Do what?" her sister turned to her.
"Sex." Ruby began to blush at the implications, as did Pyrrha.
"I mean they are in a harem after all and they are demons. Kinda expected really." Ren said, making Weiss sigh.
"Doesn't mean we like to hear about it."
"I do wonder what kind of kinky stuff they did." Blake replied.
"You know, you are way too easy to mess with." Yang told her, not seeing a point in repeating an obvious joke.
"I could write a spectacular paper on this, but nobody would believe me. It's just so surreal." She said as she slowly brought out a notepad.
"Oh…" Since her place was in Heaven he guessed they really wouldn't believe her.
"And my research has barely scratched the surface. " She began to write before looking at him with a flustered expression, "Want to join me in my studies today?" Seeing her excited look, he decided to do something else.
"You study too much. Eat your pancakes." He sternly said as she took a pancake and began to eat it while Jaune left to see Cerberus and found her next to the door.
"Pancakes." All three of them looked nervous, as if caught doing something they shouldn't.
"We messed up." All of them said, making Jaune frown.
"Harassing neighbors again?" He asked as they still looked nervous and didn't answer him.
"What did you do Cerberus?" He asked again and they still did not respond.
"This reminds me of when you mess up and Jaune has to clean up after you." Ren told his partner who nervously scratched the back of her head.
"Well, I can't help myself! Plus, it's not like I wanted to get him in trouble, things just happen." She said, her partner only shook his head.
"The first time is understandable, but how do you keep messing up?" She looked away as Pyrrha sighed.
"Nora, you gotta stop messing up. Jaune already has enough trouble as it is, let's not make it worse." Nora slowly nodded.
Jaune saw Judgement looking out the window and went to her.
"TRESPASSERS SEEK TO INVADE OUR HOME! SHOULD I DISPOSE OF THEM?" She asked with fists clenched and ready for a fight.
"That's not necessary. I'll deal with it myself, for now get your pancake." She resigned and took one.
"Sure, have it your way." She said as Jaune went to the door and looked out the peephole.
"Police! Open the door!" Sure enough, two officers stood outside the door, one holding a badge and the other a gun. He looked away from the hole and towards Cerberus.
"Why is there police outside?" They didn't answer, only looked away as Jaune sighed and opened the door.
"Are you the owner of the house?" The officer asked as Jaune brought out the pancake plate.
"Pancakes." He dumbly said as the officer looked at them before taking the offered treat.
"Oh, thanks." Her partner removed the mask, licking her lips at the sight of the pancakes, "We still have questions though." He sighed and gave a side glare at Cerberus before moving away from the door.
"Come in."
"I guess even his neighbors must have noticed his new friends in the house." Ruby said, thinking it would be inevitable.
"Well, he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret for long. Someone would have noticed." Weiss told her.
"Let's just hope he doesn't get into worse trouble." Blake said.
"I don't see how this could get worse." Ren said.
After the police left, Jaune stood at the carpet in the hallway, holding the three tablets he found while in Hell. Standing on the pentagram pattern of the carpet, he began to move in a pattern shown in the tablets, making sure to make each move correct. Right as he finished his last move, lightning flashed as a purple portal opened up, surprising him.
"What is this? Did someone open a portal at last?" A voice said from the portal as Jaune moved to it and saw a horrific beast standing on the other side.
"Holy shit! What is that?" Yang shouted, seeing the abomination.
"Is that a…giant hairy fly?" Weiss looked at the monster closely and noticed the many similarities it had to many photos of the flies.
"Yes and that is deliberate. You will see why." Watcher told them.
"Greetings little one. I'm Beelzebub." The monster told him in a deep yet somehow feminine voice, "And you must be the chosen one. The King of Hell." He raised an eyebrow. The chosen one? King of Hell? Sure he took Lucifer but wasn't that exaggerating things?
"That means…I am nothing, but your humble servant." Really? What in hell was she talking about?
"Enter this gateway and take your rightful throne."
Was she serious? Did she really think he was that naïve? Lucifer would have told him if something would happen when he got her out of hell, speaking of which…
"Hey is this a one-way banishment portal?" Said devil asked, holding another plate of pancakes and looking at the portal.
"Fuck!" That was all he needed to know that all that he heard was bullshit.
"So this Beelzebub, what exactly is she?" Weiss asked as Watcher hummed in thought.
"Well, Beelzebub is one of the demon princes of Hell. Typically, she is known as one of Lucifer's most loyal servants and was theorized to be one of his followers when Lucifer rebelled against God. Strangely enough, the true origins of Beelzebub started out differently, with the entity being worshipped in one place. However, Christians viewed the worshippers as flies coming to the feces so the name Baal Zebub changed to Beelzebub and became known as one of Devil's forms or one of his lieutenants."
"Christians don't seem to like other religions." Weiss said as Watcher chuckled.
"Religion can make some people crazy, some can accept other religions, some can't. Just know that the ones who named Beelzebub that way weren't really good people and let's leave it at that."
"Beel! And here I hoped I would never see your face again." Lucifer said with disdain.
"Feeling's mutual, my dear Lucy or should I call you Weiss?" Beel replied, peaking Jaune's curiosity.
"Is she an old friend of yours?" He asked as Lucifer scoffed and took another bite from her pancakes.
"Don't believe a single word from Beelzebub the Exiled. She is the most dangerous kind of demon, which is why we sealed her inside the abyss forever." She munched on a piece and pointed at Justice, "Ask Justice. She was the High Prosecutor at the time." Oh, so that's why she cheered for Judgement.
"It was awesome! Wish you had seen the epic battle." Justice said, still having the grin.
'Is that epic battle the reason why you are blind, Justice?' He thought as he took a step forward.
"I wouldn't do that." Lucifer stopped him, "If you step through the portal, you will be trapped there forever. Only madness will await you."
"I do wonder, what did Beelzebub do to get that kind of sentence?" Blake asked.
"Who knows? What I want to know is why send a dangerous demon in a maddening abyss. Seems counter productive." Weiss said, thinking of various reasons why.
"Eh, the abyss of madness isn't really that bad." Watcher suddenly said, "I mean really, you are all within the abyss already and none of you are getting mad, save for some emotional problems." He said surprising most of them.
"Wait, what do you mean we are in the abyss? Aren't we in a fortress?" Ruby asked, making him chuckle.
"Well, I wouldn't say 'abyss' but the place the fortress is in is certainly not a good one. I'm surprised you aren't getting mad, the last time a Watcher brought a mortal to this place they went so mad they killed themselves. I assume that getting through the portal and my presence has given you a mental defense but I'm not so sure. Anything can happen here." He casually as if them losing their mind wasn't a big deal.
"You know, it would be refreshing to find some madness, all that I found here is darkness and loneliness. It's quite disappointing." She said as Lucifer ignored her.
"Just ignore the pest, I'll close the portal after dinner." She said cutting her pancakes with a fork.
"I'll get out one day." Beelzebub growled from the other side.
"And we'll be ready." Lucifer said with indifference, making him wonder what Beelzebub had done. Still, as Lucy left and Beelzebub disappeared, Jaune couldn't help but wonder. If she felt so lonely, he could cheer her up.
"He is not thinking about doing that is he?" Pyrrha didn't think Jaune would ever do it.
"This is Jaune, if he is set on something then he will do it." Ren sighed, knowing his leader would do it.
Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, he stepped into the portal.
The moment he did, he opened his eyes and found himself in sort of a void, so many shades of darkness around him. His senses felt strange, like they no longer worked properly.
Suddenly, he felt sick, feeling like he had every disease in human history, but he didn't die. Death was no concept in the abyss.
"What now?" The buzzing of a thousand flies alerted him and he looked up to see Beelzebub looking at him in shock.
"Wait, what?" She sounded genuinely shocked, "You are here? Have you really bought the King of Hell crap?" disbelief in her voice as she kept looking at him, a hand on her chin.
"No that can't be it. You would have done it sooner. So why…?" She paused, "On second thought, I don't think I want to know."
Good, cause he didn't know how he could explain his reason.
"So he just winged it like he did with Hell? Why am I not surprised?" Weiss said, getting tired of the world before her.
"Don't worry, it will end soon enough, then I will give a recession. You can't sit here all the time." Watcher told her, making her relieved.
"Since we are both stuck here for the foreseeable future, allow me to introduce myself." One of her hands is now on her chest.
"I'm known by many names, The Sovereign of Pestilence, The Mistress of Flies, The Warden of Decay, The…" She suddenly stopped and seemed to face-palm, "Wait, I have a guest. Where are my manners? I need to be more presentable." Thousands of flies covered her as she began to shrink before his very eyes, becoming shorter than him.
Now before him stood a beautiful woman with white hair, a single pink stripe on one of her bangs, and small chitin spikes on her hair and of course white horns on her head. Her outfit is a crimson and white outfit with a white undershirt, crimson waistcoat, gloves and blazer. The inside of her coat had a pattern seen in fly wings.
"Here I think you will find this form to be more comfortable to speak with." She said in a mature, smooth voice.
"Wow, talk about fashionable." Yang said, admiring her outfit.
"A bit too crimson for my liking but she does have good taste." Weiss agreed.
"It looks good, but a bit too loud." All the crimson colors almost hurt Blake's eyes.
"Where was I? Oh yes," She made a grand pose as if in front of an audience, "Also known as The Queen Crimson. Pleased to meet you."
"The feeling's mutual." Jaune said, noting how cute she looked.
"Welcome to the Abyss. Would you like a tour of my castle?" That surprised him.
"You have a castle?" She chuckled as she then took out a handkerchief.
"Why yes, I built it myself using the darkness around me." She began to wipe her face and hands even though they were gloved, reminding him that she was still a fly, "Abyssal exile makes you seek weirdest hobbies."
'I could only imagine.' He thought, being alone for eternity probably sucked.
"Hey you brought something!" She said, noticing he held the plate, "Care to show me? We demons love sugar." He smiled.
"Well, I got chocolate pancakes." He gave the plate to her, her eyes widened and he could see drool coming out of her mouth.
"This is the best day of my life." She said, hugging him and he hugged her back.
"Aww, that's sweet." Ruby said.
"Kinda cliché but whatever." Yang said, downing her drink.
"How is Jaune going to get back to his harem though?" Nora asked, "How are they going to get out of the Abyss for that matter?" Watcher gave a mirth laugh.
"Just watch." One of his gauntlets began to beep and he looked at it. A frown on his face as he realized what it meant.
Despite being stuck in the abyss, Jaune and Beel eventually found a way out, communicating with Lucifer. With a risky spell used on both sides, the Helltaker and the Queen Crimson returned to the mortal world where his harem or rather his family awaited.
The last picture is of Jaune on a couch, Blake sleeping drunk next to him, he raised a drink as did the others, celebrating the night with Beelzebub sitting on his lap and Lucifer looking distrustful of her but still having fun as Cerberus served drinks. Azazel stared at Judgement's barely covered boobs, Glynda lay asleep on the table, Ruby holding a bottle and Yang along with Justice raising their glasses.
The lights came back on as the card went back out and showed the same picture before going back to the shelf.
"Well, that was something." Weiss said as she stood up, removing bits of food on her.
"Yeah, I mean that whole adventure was crazy but at least we learned something new." Ruby said, stretching as she got out while Watcher unlocked the door out of the room.
"Have some time off, go train or watch the gallery. I have…someone to take care of." He disappeared and let the seven wander around the fortress.
"So, who wants to go fight the drones again?" Yang asked, getting a cheer from Nora.
"I AM!" She shouted as the others went to the gallery or simply look at anything interesting the fortress had.
Watcher came up to Reaper's room, not hard to find since it was within his fortress. He knocked on the door and it opened.
"Hey R! Heard your message, you okay?" he entered the room and to his surprise found the world killer sitting on a chair on the corner next to a crib.
"R?" She didn't respond, instead touching the empty crib as Watcher's eyes widened.
"Reaper?" She turned to him and he saw tears streaming down her cheeks, shocking jim, "Are you alright?" He knew how her powers but were the effects this severe and quick this time?
"How long?" She asked, "How long do I have to do this? How much more suffering am I gonna see and commit?" She asked as Watcher looked at her with pity before coming up to her and grabbing her shoulders.
"Hey look at me." She looked at his glowing eyes as her own dimmed and changed colors, "I'm here. It will be okay." She began to cry as she buried her face in his neck and let him see what she saw.
His eyes widened at her memories before he hugged her tightly and patted her back as she let her anguish out.
"It will be fine. It will be…fine." He repeated, as she continued to cry.
TO BE CONTINUED…
A/N: Holy shit, this has to be the longest chapter I ever wrote by far. It's also the second one that I wrote on the first of April. What a coincidence.
Anyway, Helltaker is a short puzzle game and its premise is: "What if an edgy 90s action hero went to hell to get a harem?" The creator made pretty cute art of the demons and the game will take you 20 minutes to beat if you know what you are doing. There are comics following the ending and the creator is Polish, his nickname is Vanripper. Admittedly, the dialogue is pretty simple so I had to write a lot of new dialogue to make the fanfic work.
Please don't start preaching the Bible after this chapter is posted, I only wrote what I knew and I kinda liked how Hell is depicted in Dante's Inferno so I added that as well. I only know the game not the comedy, so don't start any heated arguments please.
Spoilers for Vol 8, if you don't want to know, just leave.
Apparently Crocea Mors can be broken, which makes sense, after all, it is old, and Cinder was pretty strong so I guess it is logical for it to break. It's a bummer for several reasons: One, Jaune's ancestral sword is broken so he lost something that of his ancestry, two, he had to re-forge it using Pyrrha's weapons in Vol4 so Cinder basically killed Pyrrha twice, three, he had to kill Penny with it a few moments prior, four, Vol 9 will probably give him the Relic of Destruction. And if he ends up becoming like Kirito when he finds an OP sword and uses it like it's nothing then that will be the last straw for me. If it does happen, I hope he earns it and doesn't just have it given to him and that it has drawbacks like taking away a lot of Aura to use. Although, Jaune does have the sheath so he can still use the greatsword form.
Also, on the subject of Pyrrha, you might get an impression that I hate or don't like her because of chapter 9 but she is one of my favorite characters alongside Jaune and several others. What Reaper said about her is just an exaggeration and we all know Pyrrha did her best to help Jaune and is honestly a good character.
I had a lot of ideas for Watcher and Reaper when I first started writing and I will be honest, I didn't like how I had to write Reaper in the 'Servants' chapter. But I guess I had to since that is one of the things about her. You will learn later.
And finally, why the teens acted hostile to each other all of a sudden like they did in this chapter. As I said before, the room they are in is essentially an Eldritch Location that affects their emotions and how they act. Because they are teenagers with issues, they have worse mental fortitude than adults so the effects are worse on them. I always wondered why many others don't consider that, they are in an endless place with endless knowledge. You would think they would think of the consequences. Not to say they are bad, it's just something that comes up every time I find a new one.
Anyway, thank you for reading this chapter and I will see you all later.
