Hello again. :) I hope you liked the last chapter. I think I am going to keep on going with the music/singing thing. Yea and I'm going to be getting off my spring break soon so I am not sure how frequent I can post. I am going to try weekly but I am not sure how that is going to work out. Well, I am definitely not going to abandon this though so if you enjoy it do not worry. Well, that all I got to say, on with the chapter.
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or any of the characters. Or the song. That goes to Oda, Sia, and Sabrina Carpenter. :)
Chapter Three
(Luffy POV 1st person)
It seems like everyone has gotten here, they closed the doors already. I was minding my own business when an elderly couple walked up to me. "Oh look John this little girl has the cutest eyes I have ever seen. And the scar amplifies the cuteness, I wish we had some slaves as cute as this one." the old lady said. "And she looks well trained, can't we just take her." she joked. " I don't think so, we have enough slaves as it is. But she is cute. Such a shame." The old lady then pulled on my cheek and squealed. "SHE STRETCHES!" "A devil fruit maybe, exquisite. Well, I'm going to go mingle over there. Have fun." the old man said before waving and walking away. And for the next 20 minutes, I was stuck with this lady stretching my face.
Great.
While this lady proceeds to pinch and stretch at my face, I hear a small click. I turned towards the entrance and saw the big doors opening just a crack. No one seemed to be over there to see or hear this happen. I then saw a head pop out. The head had brownish-orangish hair with a weird haircut. Okayyyyy.
"You." someone called to me and I turned to see who. It was Derek. Oh, it must be time. "Are you ready? Let's go, come one." I turned to the door to see if the head was still there. And it was gone. Did I just see it? "Hey come on, Let's go" He then unhooked my collar and pulled me along.
We kept walking through the crowd to the stage when 3 people passed in front of us. They were all wearing the same outfit, black pants and jacket, a white button-up shirt, and black ties. One looked like a pineapple, well that's different but a cool different. Oh look it is that guy from earlier at the door, wait did they come late. I thought everyone already came here, and I have never seen them before. And the last g-
…
We looked at each other in the eyes for a minute and I was completely speechless. He had dark brown eyes, curly black hair, and the cutest splash of freckles on his face. Then Derek pulled me again and we kept walking to the stage. That was new. I'm surprised, why do I feel like my heart is beating fast? We got to the stage and waited for Hansuke to give his speech. "Ladies and gentlemen I would like to thank you for coming to my party. I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. I actually wanted to inform you that I have a surprise performance happening now and I hope you all enjoy it. Now I will allow our singer to take the stage."
I quickly got rid of the rest of the shock still evident on my face and went back to my emotionless face I always have. And walked up to the microphone. There were a lot of people here. Great. Okay, I'll just sing the songs given to me and maybe, hopefully, I will be allowed to leave this party.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and looked at the band behind me to signal that I was ready. The band started playing the music and on time I started singing Sia's song Chandelier.
"One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw 'em back 'til I lose count
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night
Feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier
But I'm holding on for dear life
Won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life
Won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight, on for tonight
Sun is up, I'm a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame"
I finished the song and looked at the crowd. They clapped and seemed to like it. Now that I think about it this song is not like me at all. At least not now, maybe when I was younger. But not anymore, I mean fly like a bird. I wish I was a bird. Then I can leave this place and be free. But that dream seems too far to reach for.
I then go on and sing more songs. And song after song the crowd seems to be a bit rowdier. Did something happen? I then finished singing all the songs given to me and walked off the stage towards Derek. As I stepped off the stage I got hit by a strong smell of alcohol. I never really liked alcohol and never drank it before but I knew what it smelled like because of an alcoholic red-headed friend of mine. I looked around and saw that a lot of the people here had a tiny tint of pink on their faces. Derek came up to me and grabbed my collar. He pulled me back to the pillar I was at earlier and chained me back there.
"So the party should still be going for another hour, you will not have to clean after as the master requested. I will come and get you in 45 minutes to take you back to your cage." and with that Derek walked away. I turned to the window again. Finally, this will all be over in a little bit. I can go back to my cage and sleep. It has been about 10 minutes and no one has come to bother me, maybe things can still be peac-
"Um hello."
(Ace POV 1st person)
We got inside undetected, ready to cause some serious chaos. Of course, we came to cause mayhem why else would we come to a party like this? Me and Thatch came up with this brilliant prank. We are going to find the big bowls with all the drinks and spike them. Yes I know it sounds kinda childish but whatever it's going to be funny. Me, Thatch, and, with a lot of convincing, Marco were all carrying bottles of booze. We were walking around seeing all our victims and seeing if there was a way to spike the drink bowls without being detected. This is going to be so f-
…
I locked eyes with this girl. She had long wavy black hair, big round onyx eyes that appear to have widened a bit causing them to seem even bigger if that was possible, a button nose, and a little crescent scar under her left eye which seems to just make her cuter. She had a white tank top-like dress that stopped at her mid-thigh and hugged her curvy body.
I was about to go back up and look at her face when she was pulled away. I followed then after a couple of seconds. "Ace where are you going-yoi?' Marco said. He sighed and grabbed Thatch and followed after me. We saw that she was close to the stage and we stood in the middle of the crowd. Some man walked up to the microphone and started speaking. But I was not paying attention to anything he said and continued staring at the girl.
Then everyone started clapping and she went on stage. "Hey, what happened are you okay" I can hear Thatch. I was about to answer when the music started playing. We all turned to see that the girl started singing. She was amazing. I looked at her and saw that thing on her neck. Was it a bomb collar? Does that mean she is a slave? I felt anger rush through my veins.
"Ace, you there-yoi?" Marco asked. I got out of my daze and looked at them. I nodded my head and we went to go find the drinking bowls. "What happened?" Thatch asked. "Nothing, let's go with the plan." I said and we kept looking. Soon we found a table full of different drinks. I looked around and it seems like everyone is too caught up in the music that they won't pay attention to us. Thanks, pretty girl, you do not know how you are helping us but we appreciate it.
We poured all the bottles of alcohol in all the bowls and discarded them in the trash. Now it's time for the real party to start. We walked away looking "innocent" and went to the snack table to get some food. They won't mind if we take some right. We all got as much as we could and went to eat in the corner. We keep a watch on the bowls to see if people are going to drink some.
The girl caught my attention again when she finished her song. I looked at her eyes again but now they looked like they had life in them. She must really like singing. I paid more attention to her while she was singing. She is about to sing another song, I think it was called Looking at Me.
"Babe
If I leave you behind, you can look for the broken necks
Don't you
Don't just stand there staring, honey
Try to move your feet (Try to move your feet now)
If you think they're looking at you
They're looking at me
I can make it nice and easy
I'ma take the lead
They ain't even looking at you, baby
They're looking at me
They're just looking at me
They're looking at me
Yeah, they're looking at me, my baby
Yeah, yeah, they're looking at me
Don't you know that they're looking at me
They're looking at me"
I actually like this song, it had a good beat. "She is pretty good isn't she-yoi?" Marco said. "Yea she is but what I'm worried about is that thing around her neck. It looks kinda like a bomb collar don't you think?" Thatch said with a pitying voice. We kept hearing her sing but after a while, the room started to smell more like alcohol, and as I looked around a lot of people had a tint of pink on their faces. The plan is going just as I hoped.
After a while, she finished singing and everyone in the room seemed like they were completely drunk and partying for real. We stood there for a while before we went to get more food. I saw the girl again but the collar on her neck was chained to a pillar. So she is a slave. But what caught my eye was that her big beautiful eyes looked emotionless as she was staring out a window. I decided to walk up to her.
I just felt like I had to get to know her.
Okay, so that is the chapter. A cliffhanger, what is going to happen next? Are they finally going to meet?
OMG so you know, if you write fanfictions, when you are trying to write your story and you have this specific scene dreamed up. It's super detailed and everything, but it is for the ending, and you are still on like the 3rd chapter. This happens to me a lot, like I am in the middle of writing chapter 2 and my brain was like "here is something for the ending", and it seems amazing. And I'm like "okay but I need something for this chapter" but my brain's like "sorry I got nothing for you, do it yourself". But I still got it done, YAY.
I hoped you enjoyed this one and I will see you next time. BYE :)
