Lance slowly crawled to her.

At least, what used to be Lance. He got bitten and neither of them realized it until it was too late. His groans pained Pidge. She aimed at him in his head; she closed her eyes and forced herself to take the shot. After a loud bang, everything went silent. Only her heavy breathing remained within the air. She opened one of her eyes, even if she didn't want to. His corpse was fully motionless now, with his brains blown out. His blood scattered against the floor and the walls.

She felt the color drain from her face. Oh fucking God, she actually did it, she killed his zombified self. Her body trembled and tears broke free. Pidge started crying and laughing as she dropped her weapon. She couldn't believe it, not a single bit of what she was seeing. Yet, despite her disbelief, she couldn't look away from the horrible sight that laid before her. She slid down to the floor with her back against the wall.

"I- I just lost- Lost my sharp shooter…" Her voice cracked and broke.

Of course this had to happen when they split up to get supplies. The one time they separated, one of them died. She brought her knees up to her chest and cried. She knew she had to tell everyone else at some point, but right now, the thought of saying anything was too much to bear. Pidge wanted a bit of time to get everything out before she could get everything she needed from there and head back to the others.

Out of everyone, she couldn't get why it had to be Lance. She'd hate it if it was anyone else, like Hunk, or Shiro, but it hurt the most with him gone. They even promised to have a little date later, as much of a date as it could be, but it seemed like the universe had shot down those plans like she had to shoot him. She sniffed, trying to not let the emotions get the best of her. Her tears fell onto the ground, mixing in with the blood.

Pidge took her glasses off and wiped the tears off her face. The blood from her hand smeared onto her reddened face. She silently gulped. Once the tears were off her face and no longer blurring her vision, she put her glasses back on and grabbed her weapon. She'd had to make the trip quicker than she wanted, before any other zombies came by.

She hid and grabbed everything while keeping her eye open for any danger that could've lurked around the corner.
