Amelia Kingston's life was not as easy as she wanted it to be.

She was the last child of four. Being the youngest did have its perks. Her older sisters, Alexis and Natalie never wanted to be seen around her, especially at school. They were identical twins and were seven years older than her. Her older brother, Jackson was six years older. Their relationship was better than hers with her sisters. He was protective over her. There wasn't anything that he wouldn't do to make her smile.

The relationship with her parents was more strained. She was seven when her parents got divorced. Her father moved from Texas to Arizona. Amelia and her siblings were to spend their summers and every other Christmas with their father along with their new stepmother, Claire and stepbrothers, Lukas and Alex.

Her mother just wanted to do what she thought was best for her children. But Lia -as she started going by when she was ten- knew what her mother was doing. Often nights saw a new guy in the house and they never lasted longer than two weeks before the guy broke it off.

Her father and her got along better, not as good as she wanted to but it was good enough for her. All she wanted to do was make him happy and proud of her. When she was sixteen, she moved to her fathers in Phoenix, attending the local high school there.

When she was young, she never really was a fan of comics and superhero stuff. Lia was more into space and astronomy. She caved when she was nineteen and watched the first Marvel film. It didn't take long for her to fall in love with the characters. From then she watched every film that came out. Of course she had her favorite movies and least favorite movies as well as the same for characters. Spider-Man; No Way Home was the first Marvel film that she saw in the theater. The woman wasn't surprised to find that she sobbed no less than four times throughout the film.

When she went to bed that January night, she thought that when she would wake up, it would be just a normal day. She would wake up, check in with her friends, and get ready for her college classes. Classes had just started for her final semester of her associates degree. From there, she would transfer to Arizona State and get her bachlors in journalism.

Writing had always been a passion of hers ever since she could write. Words came naturally and writing was easy. By the time she was twenty-one she already had two books published with a small publishing company. When she was in her teens she wrote fanfiction, most focused around Supernatural and Doctor Who.

Of course, she didn't exactly plan for her world to change.

Literally.

Now here she was, in a completely different reality than her own. She would have to laugh at the fact that this was confirming that there were other realities out there.

Multiverses were weird.

She didn't know how long she was out for, but she felt her body starting to come to awareness. Her eyes twitched as she started to hear talking.

"Shut up, she's waking up,"

"Tony's going to be all over her, wanting to know why we brought her here."

"All of you, hush."

Her eyes fluttered open.

Her breathing hitched as she blinked a few times, trying to make sense as to what was happening.

The signature red hair of Natasha Romanoff.

The blue eyes of Captain America.

The full tattoo sleeve of Clint Barton.

The questioning gaze of Tony Stark.

"Holy fucking shit."

Everything went black again before she could blink again. This time, fainting in front of people that five minutes ago were just fictional characters.

How the tides had turned.
