It was interesting to see what she could do with practically no limit on a debit card.
Boy, was Tony going to regret it in the morning.
The smile never left her lips as she bought more things for her bedroom. A California king size bed and a cute bed set to go with it. A dark brown with a fine finish bookshelf and all her favorite books. At least, the ones that had been published by now. Her walls had paintings and posters up on them.
The days blurred into one another, more often than not, she spent them learning about this world that she was now in. Clint, Nat and Steve were often out on missions. Days not spent in her room were spent learning with Tony.
JARVIS was a huge help.
She loved JARVIS.
"And so I'm thinking that we should start you with some self defense training?" Tony said, but it appeared more so as a question as he turned in his chair to look at her. They had been tinkering with some part of his suit, he was letting her do most of the work on it.
"I know how to protect myself just fine. But if you really think I need it, then I'll do it. I know you're just looking out for me." Lia shrugged as she tightened a piece and set the tool down, handing said part to the man
"Perfect, I think Romanoff is free tonight."
Did she mention how flustered she still got around them all, even though its been two almost three months now?
"Great."
The breath was knocked out of her as Natasha slammed her down onto the mat for what seemed like the thousandth time that night.
"Starting to think you enjoy this Lia." Nat spoke, grinning as she helped the black haired girl up from the ground once more. She dodged the punch thrown at her, ducking under it and bringing her own, sending a jab to Nat's jaw.
Surprisingly, she was not as bad as she thought she was.
Of course, she wasn't on the level that the red head was on, but perhaps one day be close to that.
They had started with a warmup, laps around the gym followed by some core movements before getting into it. Natasha was a good teacher, and she was already learning a lot. Clint had even offered to teach her a bit of archery soon.
"Ha, you wish." Lia replied and then winced as Nat's fist connected with her shoulder. She would be sore tomorrow, but something told her that it would be worth it.
The two went at it for another thirty minutes before calling it a night. Lia let herself fall to the floor, breaths coming out short as she wiped her forehead with the bottom of her shirt. Her water bottle was placed in front of her and she eagerly grabbed it, sipping the water.
"You did good." Natasha spoke as she sat down next to her, barely looking affected at all.
God it must be awesome to be her.
"Thanks," She took a deep breath, "It was not as bad as I thought it would be."
"It'll get easier. We'll start with three nights a week and then I think Clint wants you for one, and Steve for one as well."
"Archery with Clint and running with Steve? Sounds doable." She spoke, as she finally stood up.
"Go stretch a bit, it'll make it so that you're not as sore in the morning." Natasha told her as she left the gym, and she sent the other woman a thumbs up over her shoulder.
She headed back up to the floor and back into her room. The shower was short and she braided her hair as she grabbed what she and Tony had taken to calling the Stark pad. It was really cool, and resourceful to have around.
"JARVIS can you please turn on the latest episode of Doctor Who please?"
"Right away Amelia."
The Snowman, the 2012 Christmas special started playing on her TV as she changed into night clothes and settled into bed.
She checked some emails from Tony, mostly pertaining to their work on his latest creations. Eventually she would find a job. Perhaps a writing job, yeah, that would be nice. Reaching for her journal, she balanced it on her lap as she reached for a pen.
