From then, usually only two went on missions. Usually it was Steve and Nat for most of them. She found herself writing more and more in her diary, even going through her list again.

/. Vision is gonna have to die, sorry Viz;

/. Age of Ulton has to happen bc it sets up Civil War

/. Civil War= Team Cap all the way

It had her thinking in a way she never thought of the MCU before.

It would start with her being there and prevent Ultron from even being created. She will let them make Viz, but that would lead to him having the mind stone. She would go back to that later. On that note, how could she stop Thanos from becoming the thing to worry about? With no Ultron, AOU would not happen and that would lead to Zemo not losing his family. Civil War wouldn't happen because there would be no Sokovian Accords.

Meaning Wanda would still be with HYDRA and Pietro would still be alive. How could she get them out of there?

Lia would be changing the whole course of the universe with what she was trying to do.

God, trying to figure out how to change the MCU was tiring.

A sigh escaped her as she pushed her glasses back up on her face. She had been pouring over her journal pages for the better part of an hour or two and she could feel a headache starting to come on.

"Something bothering you?" Clint asked her as he walked into the kitchen.

"Just… things?" Lia tried to push it off.

"What kind of things?"

"You remember how I explained where I was from, how everything here was a movie series for me?" At his nod, she continued. "I'm trying to figure out how to change things, to make it so events don't happen. I can't let some of these happen." Lia shrugged.

"These are the things you won't and can't tell us?" He asked as he poured a cup of coffee, leaned against the counter and took a drink.

She couldn't tell them, could she? What was the worst that could happen? Her lips twisting as she thought, this was something she would have to figure out on her own. The female didn't want to put so much pressure and anxiety onto the team.

"Yeah those…" She trailed off, "I want to, Clint, trust me. I really want to be able to spill everything, but I can't. It would literally ruin some of you right now. Especially Steve." At Clint's confused expression, she realized she might have told too much.

"Why Steve?"

"If I tell you, you have to promise me that you will never spill a word to anyone about this." Lia's voice held all seriousness and she stared Clint in the eyes. She knew that he would never say anything but she needed his promise.

"I swear to you Amelia."

A deep breath.

"Has Steve ever told you about his time during the War, how he had a friend named Bucky?"

"He's mentioned him a couple of times. Steve doesn't really like to talk about what happened."

"I might as well tell you since it's important to what I'm going to tell you. I'll deal with Steve whenever he finds out that I told someone." Rubbing her temples, Lia continued. "They had landed on a train and were going capture a Nazi scientist called Zola. Shit happened and Bucky ended up falling off the train and they thought him to be dead."

"Thought him to be dead? What are you trying to say."

"Bucky Barnes did not die that night. He was captured by HYDRA, uh Nazi science force basically. He's alive."

"And we can't tell Steve because?"

"Bucky has been brainwashed, turned into a highly trained assassin, he's even better than Natasha, and you know how she is. He's the Winter Soldier, i'm working on a plan to get him back but some things need to happen first. I need you to trust me on this okay?"

Clint nodded as he finished his cup.

"I can't imagine what's going through your head but it'll all work out Lia, I promise."

The months flew by at an alarming rate. She finished the first semester of college already over half way done with her masters. Spring ran into summer and then the beginning of fall. The Avengers had split up for the time being, going their own ways. Amelia stayed with Tony and Pepper in the tower, not quite wanting to leave and Tony was more than willing to let her stay.

And pay for her masters programs and already told her that he would take care of her doctorate. Lia would find some way to pay him back for all that he has done for her.

As the months bled into each other, she kept track of how close it way til the start of the next movie. Kept track of everything that she could do to help. So much to do with so little time. Lia took it one day at a time and that seemed to be working.

She got closer with everyone. Clint and Natasha becoming the older siblings that she always had wanted. Steve became her best friend and someone who she could rely on. Many nights were spent getting closer to him, often calling him when she couldn't sleep or him calling her when he couldn't sleep. Amelia was glad to have them. She went out shopping a lot with Natasha and Pepper, went to bookshops and coffee shops with Steve and hung out on the roof some nights with Clint.

Her relationship with Tony had grown as well. It changed from that mentor and mentee friendship they had to more of a father and daughter. He became the father that she had wanted, one that was there for her. When she couldn't sleep and nothing seemed to be helping, Tony would be there. They would tinker with more of his projects or they would watch a movie.

Amelia learned how to better fend for herself, taking archery up like a fish to water. Running became easier and defending herself was a lot smoother. Now, she never had to worry about freaking out if she ever got attacked. Now she could protect herself.

September found her venturing out more. New York was a gorgeous city and she intended to explore everything it had to offer. Mornings saw her waking around nine in the morning after getting about three hours of sleep, that was a whole other story. After getting coffee at the coffee shop right by the tower, she would hit the shops. More often than not, she would eventually find herself in one of the many book stores. Her favorite was a small family owned bookshop that she became a regular at. As morning turned to afternoon which turned into evening, she found herself sometimes at Central Park and sometimes at a local diner getting dinner for her and the others.

Nights were a completely different thing. Most of the time, she slept for an average of three hours a night. It wasn't that she didn't want to sleep, she just couldn't. Tossing and turning for hours, she had already tried every trick that she knew. Which is why, most nights she spent working with Tony when he was awake. If it was just her awake, she went down to the gym and worked out or went to the roof to look at the city from above.

One of these days she was going to start getting weed to help her sleep.

Or many Tony had something that would help. Yeah, she would try that first.

Days became shorter as it came closer to the start of winter. Halloween was spent eating too much candy and all the horror movies with Tony and Pepper. Before she knew it, it was already the year anniversary of her appearing in the world. They didn't do anything for it and just made it another day for her. It was weird how time went by that fast.

She loved it in this universe.

November went into December and the holidays came full force in New York. The first snowfall came the first day of the month, blanketing the city with three feet in a day. Having lived on the West coast for most of her life, seeing snow was something that Amelia enjoyed more than she would have admitted.

Now days were spent shopping for presents for everyone, and the others would be coming into town, well the ones that didn't live in the city. She still saw Nat and Steve weekly when they were not busy with the whole saving the world thing. Gift had been bought weeks ago and made. The female had taken up crocheting again, finding it comforting and rewarding. Blankets were made for everyone along with a nice sappy letter to them saying how grateful she was to have found them and that they have changed her life in so many ways.

Christmas was a day full of happiness. Nat had given her a new knife throwing set that she had been eyeing. From Steve was a box set of Jane Austen books, one of the first box sets that were produced. Clint's gift was a new bow, much like his. But while his was black, hers was a dark grey, sort of silver color. That made her all giddy and she practically launched herself at him and hugged him. Bruce had given her a box of rocks that were from comets and even some that came from Mars. She didn't ask how he got them but thanked him intensely for them. From Tony came the most recent Macbook laptop and most recent Iphone. And a room in the tower for her books. He even went as far as to set it up with multiple bookshelves and had boxes of books that she loved waiting in there. The multiple gift cards that were along with that made her almost scream. Pepper's gift was more simple, a large basket full of to the brim with multiple colors of yarn and a new set of hooks that had her initials on them.

They had all loved their gifts. The blankets were colored appropriately to their favorite colors. It had taken a few months to get through them all but the smiles on the faces had made it all worth it.

And then it was like she blinked and it was New Years Eve. Of course, Tony had one of his parties. That many people made Lia feel anxious and she couldn't bring herself to come join the party. She could hear the music from above her as she turned into another episode of Supernatural and opened the bottle of champagne she had stolen off a waiters cart on her way down to her floor.

The perks of being twenty one in the universe.

As the clock clicked down and down to midnight, she found herself excited and anxious for the new year. So many things were going to start happening now. The start of the events of the next film, they were to start in about eight days. So much was going to happen.

But she could do this.

She had to.

And she would. That is what she promised herself as midnight hit and the new year began.
