AN: It is Friday. We have Kacy promo pics out and Kate Whistler with a gun. It is a good day, so here is a quick little epilogue to wrap this one up.

Kate glanced over at her girlfriend, trying her best not to look amused as she drove them to Jane's house for dinner. She texted her friend a thank you for at least waiting until Sunday to call Lucy over. Kate and Lucy's weekend had been just what they needed after so much time apart. They locked themselves in Kate's apartment, only coming up for air for food and showers, which still involved plenty of stolen kisses and not being able to keep their hands to themselves. While she was amused by the situation, Kate could tell Lucy was nervous about seeing her boss again after their last encounter.

"Luce, it's going to be fine. Everyone will be there. She will probably have a word with you and then move on. Jane is happy for us. It will be fine."

"That's easy for you to say," pouted Lucy and Kate couldn't help the smug smile that played on her lips.

"Well, I didn't accuse her of sleeping with me, but still," teased Kate and Lucy narrowed her eyes at her.

"You better be glad you're cute."

"Oh, I am very glad I'm cute," giggled Kate. Lucy shook her head as they parked in front of Jane's house. She sighed in relief when she saw Jesse, Kai, and Ernie's cars.

"Good, at least they are already here. That means less time for her to chat with me about my temporary insanity," mumbled Lucy as they got out of the car. They headed inside and Kate was the first to take off her shoes and walk in. She shook with mirth at the way her girlfriend practically cowered behind her as they entered the house.

"Lucy, it's still just Jane."

"It's Tennant. Is she amazing? Sure? Am I lovable?"

"Always," assured Kate.

"But she still is probably pissed at me," whispered Lucy as they headed for the kitchen.

"Well, I'm here and we are together. We got this," assured Kate. They entered the kitchen to see Jane wiping her hands as she finished plating some appetizers.

"Hey," said Kate as Lucy lingered behind her. Jane smiled and gave her a hug.

"I need to have a talk with my special agent. The boys are outside. Leave us," instructed Jane and Kate nodded.

"Yeah, gotta go," said Kate before quickly getting out of dodge and Lucy's jaw dropped.

"What happened to we got this," asked Lucy.

"You got this," corrected Kate with a wave as she exited the kitchen.

"Thanks for the love and support, babe. I really appreciate it," called Lucy. She let out a nervous laugh as Jane crossed her arms and arched an eyebrow at her.

"Hi, Tennant, you look great today, love the shirt and…"

"Lucy…"

"I'm sorry. It was stupid and I was being stupid, but I'm in love with her and we weren't talking and then I saw you two and you two were talking and always talking and always looking so comfortable together and…seriously, why is no one stopping me when I ramble anymore!" Jane giggled and sat down on a stool. She patted the one beside her and Lucy sat down as well.

"You have to know I would never do that to you," said Jane and Lucy sighed.

"I do know that. Honest, I do. It's just when it comes to Kate, I'm not always thinking."

"Love will do that to you. Based on the heart eyes you were giving each other, I take it you two have talked things out?"

"Yes, we are good now."

"Good. It was starting to affect more than your personal lives and we can't have that."

"That's not…" Lucy wanted to protest, but stopped when Jane gave her a look.

"You weren't as focused and I could tell you weren't sleeping." Lucy sighed, but nodded as she looked down at her hands.

"You don't have to worry about us anymore."

"It's my job to worry."

"Are you worried about us being together too," she asked and Jane looked at her curiously as Lucy continued.

"Kate mentioned that while we weren't technically breaking any rules, we also had some conflicts of interest before. Now that she is FBI, it changes things, but still, I want to make sure you are okay with us."

"If I wasn't, I would have already said so. I think you two are good for each other. Was I worried at first? Of course. If it ended badly, it could complicate things, but this team, all of us, we're a family. Family will have issues sometimes, but we still love each other. You just love her in a different way than I do and let me make that clear, it is a different way," she said with a teasing smile and Lucy groaned.

"I'm never going to live this down, am I?"

"Did I mention that family also teases each other mercilessly," asked Jane as she wrapped an arm around her and Lucy smiled warmly.

"That's fair. Thank you for looking out for me. You always do and I appreciate it."

"Well, you can never question how much I love you now. Meddling in your personal life has us at a whole new level of love." Jane smiled as Lucy pulled her in for a big hug.

"I love you too, Tennant."

"You better. Oh, and for the record, while I would never do that to you, neither would she. I know you two have been through a lot, but you have yourself a good one. She's very loyal."

"Are you saying that as my boss or her BFF right now," teased Lucy.

"BFF may be a strong word."

"I know you two text each other and you never go shooting with any of us. That's a BFF." Jane wanted to protest, but was silent as Lucy smiled smugly.

"Not a word," grumbled Jane and Lucy gasped dramatically.

"I would never," she teased as they stood up. Jane handed her a tray of food to carry and Lucy followed her toward the back porch. They both smiled when they saw Kate talking animatedly and laughing with Kai, Jesse, and Ernie. They were teasing her about her time with the DIA and she was telling them about one of the strangest cases she worked as a DIA officer. Lucy felt a sense of pride swell in her heart as she watched her girlfriend laugh and catch up with the guys. Jane smiled at Lucy and shook her head.

"Oh, you have it bad," whispered Jane.

"You don't tell her and I won't let your BFF know how much you love her too," whispered Lucy. Jane eyed her carefully for a moment as she weighed her options.

"Mutually assured destruction, nice approach," said Jane with a nod as understanding passed between them. They both loved Kate Whistler, but were not going to let the blonde tease them or know just how much.
