I'm super psyched to win this Bingo so a huge thanks to Monthly Challenges 4 All for inspiring me this much. This is for the prompt of 'Beach/Pool'. Hope you enjoy!

Now that everything with Menoa was over, the second generation of DigiDestined planned to meet up again but this time in Japan at a local beach. Davis, Ken, Cody and Yolei had all agreed to make it a whole day trip at the beach, and it had been a whole year since Kari had been able to meet up with her friends due to her teaching degree. She kept up on the group chat and always apologised but this time, she had managed to organise things.

As she rode her bike to the beach, bag on her back and Gatomon sitting in front of her, a smile filled her face. Talking on the phone just was not the same as catching up like this.

"Are you excited, Kari?" Gatomon asked her partner.

"Yeah, for sure," Kari admitted softly. "So much has happened and Tai really wanted me to go and have fun." Ever since Tai had lost Agumon, she had stuck closely to her brother's side and almost had not come today, but he had insisted that she go before she and Gatomon suffered the same fate. The thought sent a chill down her spine – she could not bear to lose Gatomon no matter what. Maybe…somehow, it would be different for their team? She could only hope at least.

"Yeah, it'll be pretty awesome to see the others again," Gatomon agreed as they approached the beach. She got off the bike, Gatomon jumping off beside her and didn't take off her clothes yet. She was wearing her bikini underneath her actual clothes but as she got closer, she stopped in her tracks, her face turning bright red. Davis was the only one there – being there the earliest but that was not what had stopped her. As Davis turned towards her, she found her eyes subconsciously moving up and down his chest. It was quite well-toned…had he always been this handsome and she had never really seen it before?

Her own thoughts made her heart race, especially as he ran over to her.

"Hey, Kari," Davis said grinning as he noticed her look. "Like the view?"

Kari hid her face in her hands. "Oh, shut up."

Davis laughed. "I don't mind you looking, you know. As long as you're the only one looking."

Kari slowly pulled her hands away from her face. "Even…even after all this time?"

Davis reached out, pulling her hands into his own. "Always."
