(A/N: Okay, the final chapter! Let's see what happened when Daisy went to visit Luigi after Mario and Peach went to pick her up from the Metro Kingdom.)
The following morning, at Luigi's Mansion, while Luigi was eating breakfast, he heard his cell phone ringing. With a sigh, he stopped eating and pulled out his green cell phone. He was a little concerned when the caller ID showed him Mario's cell number.
"Hello?" Luigi answered, hoping that he wasn't about to hear anything bad.
It was Mario, calling to say that there had been a change of plans. Pauline had called him in the middle of the night to inform him that Daisy had bested Bowser.
"What a woman!" Luigi thought. He knew Daisy was something special if she could best Bowser. However...
"Where is Daisy now?" Luigi asked.
Mario explained that after the battle, Pauline had taken Daisy and Tiara to a hotel in New Donk City. Right now, Daisy was most likely awake, and waiting for him and Peach to come and pick her up.
"Oh! Grazie a Dio! Thank goodness! I'm so glad Daisy's okay. I wish I could join you when you go to pick her up so I can see her, but I've got work to do here." Luigi said.
"Maybe we can bring her to your mansion to see you after we pick her up? Chances are she just might want to see you, too." Mario suggested.
"Sembra carino. That sounds nice." Luigi replied.
Later that morning...
Princess Daisy was in the Mushroom Kingdom, looking around happily as she made her way to Luigi's Mansion at a leisurely pace. She felt good, knowing that she had been able to work Bowser over well for trying to force her cousin into a marriage she never wanted to be involved in. Now it was time for her to tell Luigi what she did to Bowser to make him pay.
Meanwhile, at the mansion, Luigi was busily dusting the parlor, making sure it was nice and neat. Luigi had always been a neat-freak, and that meant keeping every room in his mansion neat and tidy, and free of dust.
"There. Now the parlor is spick-and-span." Luigi smiled as he looked around the room. He was proud of his handiwork.
Suddenly, he heard the doorbell ring.
"One sec!" Luigi called, setting the duster on a table in the room before hurrying into the foyer and making his way downstairs to open the door. Imagine his happiness when he saw who was standing there.
"Hey, sweetie." Daisy said as she greeted Luigi with a big hug.
"Anch'io ti amo. I love you, too, Daisy..." Luigi said, feeling lovesick. Then he remembered what she had been through, and he looked at her before returning her hug and saying, "I'm so glad you're okay, la mia principessa, my princess!"
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?" Daisy asked, pulling away a little and looking into his eyes.
"Mario sent you to Bowser..." Luigi reminded her.
"Only because I agreed to it, and I knew I could make him suffer. Let's go inside and I'll explain everything there, okay?" Daisy suggested.
Given that he had just finished dusting the parlor, Luigi said, "Okie-dokie. That sounds good. Let's-a go to the parlor. I just finished dusting it, so it's-a nice and clean."
"Okay." said Daisy with a smile.
So they walked up the stairs and entered the parlor. Luigi was about to sit down when he remembered that Daisy was his guest, and he asked her, "Can I get you something to drink?"
"Perhaps. Do you have any Kool-Aid?" Daisy asked as she sat down in one of the chairs in the room.
"As a matter of fact, I do. I made some the other day. It's-a cherry-flavored, Mario's favorite flavor." Luigi answered.
"Well, what a coincidence! Cherry is my favorite flavor, too! I wouldn't mind a glass of that." Daisy smiled.
"Okie-dokie. Torno subito. I'll be right back." Luigi promised before leaving the room and making his way downstairs.
While Luigi was busy getting the drink for Daisy, Polterpup phased into the parlor, and when he saw Daisy sitting there, he bounded over and hopped onto her lap.
"Hey, Doggy. It's nice to see you, too." Daisy said, petting the ghost dog, who made himself comfortable on her lap.
When Luigi returned to the parlor, he saw Polterpup resting on Daisy's lap and said, "Down, boy. I need to give Daisy her Kool-Aid."
So the puppy got off of Daisy's lap, and Luigi handed Daisy her drink.
"Thanks." Daisy said, before taking a sip of the Kool-Aid.
"Can you tell me what happened?" Luigi asked as he sat down on the chair next to her. Polterpup laid down between the chairs, feeling content that he was near two of his favorite people.
"Well, first of all, Mario came to my castle in Sarasaland, asking if I could help him with something. I agreed to it, as long as it was something I could do. Well, he told me that he knew I could so whatever it was. So, after giving Mom and Dad the heads-up, I joined him." Daisy said.
"But your parents didn't know what the plan was?" Luigi asked.
"No, not really, but that's because Mario didn't tell me what the plan was until we got to Peach's Castle. And that's where I showed him that I can do a killer impression of Peach's voice." Daisy said.
"You can imitate Peach's voice? I've got to hear this." Luigi said, sounding interested.
"Okay, I'll do it." Daisy said. After thinking of something funny to say, she cleared her throat and said, in a perfect imitation of Peach's voice, "Guess what, Mario? We can get married now, and Bowser won't stop us! I just posted this really embarrassing video of him on YouTube! He's covered in butter and running around his kingdom yelling 'I'm a muffin! I'm a muffin!'"
When Luigi heard that, he actually pictured Bowser doing what Daisy said, and that fact it had been said in Peach's voice had him laughing so hard he almost fell out of his chair. He couldn't help it! Never had he heard Peach's voice say something so funny about Bowser before. Nor had he ever imagined Bowser doing something so crazy before!
Daisy smiled as she watched Luigi crack up over her impression of Peach. She didn't blame him for finding it funny. She had Mario, Cappy, Toadette, Pauline, and Tiara laughing at it, and knowing that Luigi enjoyed it made the whole thing even better.
"That's a really good impression, Daisy! And it's-a really funny, too!" Luigi said when he finally managed to stop laughing.
"Thanks. The first time I showed Mario that I could do it, we were in the castle, and every Toad in the Great Hall was looking at us because they heard me talking in Peach's voice. Even Toadsworth was fooled." said Daisy after taking a long drink of her Kool-Aid.
"If you were able to fool Toadsworth, then you're perfect at it. But if you want my opinion, I think you're perfect as you are." Luigi said.
"Thanks, sweetie." Daisy smiled. She got up, walked over to Luigi's chair, and gave him a kiss on the cheek before going back to her own chair.
"So, what happened next?" Luigi asked, blushing.
"I thought that we were going to have to go to Peach's room so I could change into one of Peach's dresses, put on her make-up, and either don a blonde wig or dye my hair blonde. Well, we didn't do any of that. Mario took me to Toadette's room to try on her Super Crown, which turned her into Peach's identical twin sister." Daisy said.
"Oh yeah, Mario showed me the picture of Toadette like that." Luigi said.
"He wanted me to try it on, and sure enough, when I wore it, I turned into Peach." Daisy replied.
"You did?!" Luigi asked.
"Yes, but... my hair wasn't in Peach's style, and my shoes and gloves stayed the same as they always were. When Bowser saw me, he didn't know that I was me. He also didn't know I was me because the crown gave me Peach's voice. I didn't even have to mimic it. And I kept my own gloves and crown on Mario's airship, the Odyssey." Daisy said.
"What did you tell him about Peach again? Mario told me the other day, but I kind of forgot..." Luigi said.
"We said she was a decoy, not the real deal like I was." Daisy said.
"But it was actually the other way around. Clever..." Luigi smiled.
"Yeah. And when I was with Bowser, I messed with him, adding to his wedding-planning stress." Daisy said.
"Oh?" Luigi asked.
"Yeah. I was thinking that sooner or later, he was going to have to question whether or not marrying Peach was worth it. I was having fun with him, but I think he was close to having a migraine." Daisy smirked.
"That's my girl! I'm glad you were making him sorry." Luigi smiled.
"However, after I told him I was checking to see if he had pre-wedding jitters, he made me feel sick." Daisy said.
"What did he do, Daisy?" Luigi asked.
"Well... he wanted to... kiss... me..." Daisy said.
Luigi was shocked! The thought of Bowser kissing with his girl was rather sickening, even though he knew Daisy would never allow Bowser to do that to her. He managed to croak, "Wh-what... did you... do?"
"I talked him into saving the kiss for when we were pronounced husband and wife. Then I ran to the bathroom and puked my guts up. I don't think he suspected that I was sick, though. That he made me sick! He's so dumb..." Daisy said.
"I don't blame you, Daisy. I wanted to throw up myself during that time I dressed up as Peach to save Mario when they were holding him captive." Luigi said.
"How did you fool him?" Daisy asked. She hadn't heard about Luigi dressing up as her cousin before.
"Well, apart from trying to imitate her voice, I was wearing a wig, her clothes and crown, and a mask over my nose and mouth so they couldn't tell that I was not her." Luigi explained.
"Did she have a spare dress for you to wear, or..." Daisy started.
"I was wearing the clothes off her back..." Luigi mumbled, but Daisy heard him.
"You changed her clothes?!" Daisy asked, a little freaked out.
"I had to, Daisy! There was nothing else for it! And she was unconscious! But I didn't get any ideas when I changed her out of her clothes and into my own! I promise!" Luigi said, seeing that Daisy hadn't liked the sound of that. Well, he couldn't really blame her for it, considering that he wasn't in a relationship with Peach and that she had been out like a light when he did it.
"Okay, then." Daisy said. The thought had creeped her out, but he had done this to help Mario, the way she had disguised herself to save Peach. Besides, she trusted that Luigi hadn't gotten any ideas when he changed Peach's clothes. So she said, "Go on..."
Luigi took a deep breath before continuing, "I was telling Bowser exactly what he wanted to hear, that the Princess was in love with him and couldn't wait to marry him."
"I had him convinced of the same thing when I was Peach." said Daisy.
"I thought you might, even though you were messing with him. But then he realized that the Princess's voice sounded kind of funny. So I told him I had a cold. Then... oh, here comes the disgusting part... he said he'd come kiss me and make me feel better..." Luigi explained.
Daisy felt sick and immediately leaped to her feet, worrying Luigi.
"Are you okay, Daisy?" Luigi asked, concerned.
"Where's the bathroom?" she asked, one hand over her stomach, the other over her mouth. Luigi instantly knew what that meant. It meant she was gonna be sick. He didn't blame her.
"Through that door." Luigi said, pointing to the door in back of the room.
Daisy didn't reply. She ran to the bathroom, closed the door, and was leaning over the toilet just in time to start throwing up.
"Poor Daisy... I shouldn't have told her about that... I should have kept my mouth shut..." Luigi said, feeling like an idiot as he heard Daisy throwing up in there. He didn't mean to make her sick.
Polterpup climbed up on his master's lap and gave him doggie kisses to try and help him feel better.
"You don't blame me?" Luigi asked the puppy, feeling slightly better.
The ghost dog curled up on his lap.
"Grazie. Thank you, Doggy." said Luigi, petting his dog.
A few minutes later, Luigi heard the sound of the toilet flushing, and then he heard the bathroom door open. He looked to see Daisy peeking her head out.
"Luigi, is it okay if I rinse with some of that Scope you have by the sink in here?" Daisy called out.
"Essere mio ospite! Be my guest!" Luigi called back.
"Okay, thanks!" Daisy called before closing the door.
Luigi waited for a minute or two more before Daisy came out, feeling a little better but still looking a little pale and weak.
"Oh boy, I was not at all prepared for that." Daisy muttered as she walked back to her chair and sat down.
"I know, Daisy, and I'm sorry for making you sick." Luigi said.
"I'm not blaming you, Luigi. You had no idea that I wasn't prepared to hear what Bowser was thinking of doing to someone he thought was my cousin." Daisy replied.
"So you're not mad at me?" Luigi asked.
"Why would I be mad at the man I love?" Daisy asked, taking a small sip of Kool-Aid, hoping that it would stay down. It did, much to her relief.
Luigi's face flushed, and he said, "Grazie. Thank you, Daisy."
"You're welcome." Daisy replied.
"So, what happened when you got to the wedding venue?" Luigi asked.
"When we got there, we made our way to the altar, and Bowser was ready to put this HUGE wedding ring called the Binding Band on me. Luigi, that ring would never fit on my finger! I could've used it as a hula-hoop; that's how wide the band was!" Daisy said.
"What happened when he tried to put it on you?" Luigi asked.
"I grabbed it out of his hands and forced it around his neck. Then I removed the Super Crown (which I had convinced him was my lucky crown) and showed him who I really was! Boy, did he get scared!" Daisy said. She started to laugh as she remembered the look of horror on Bowser's face when he saw who 'Peach' really was.
"Was he scared to death?" Luigi asked. He would've liked to see Bowser looking scared at the sight of someone as innocent-looking as Daisy.
"No, but I wish he'd been so scared that he wet himself!" Daisy said.
Luigi was laughing his head off. Daisy didn't blame him; the thought of Bowser being scared enough to do that was pretty hilarious.
When Luigi finally managed to stop laughing, he said, "Okay, what happened after he realized that he had been dealing with you and not Peach?"
"He tried to hide, and he referred to me as a witch!" Daisy said.
"Ti ha chiamato strega?! He called you a witch?! Okay, that's it. Next time I see him, I'm going to use my Poltergust 3000 and try to suck him up in there!" Luigi threatened.
"You don't have to, Luigi. I hit him hard, with enough force to send him outside the Wedding Hall. Then I followed him out, where I gave him the beating of his life before sucker-punching him far, far away! I don't know where he landed, but I think it would've been pretty funny to see if he crash-landed in the Death Star, at the feet of Darth Vader, who would probably force-choke him to death." Daisy said.
"What happened after you stopped the wedding? I know Mario said you went to New Donk City." Luigi recalled.
"I did. Mayor Pauline gave me and Tiara a ride to New Donk City and checked us into a hotel there for the night. Earlier today, Mario and Peach picked us up, and I asked them if I could see you first, rather than going straight home." Daisy said.
"And, seeing that you're here, they agreed to it." Luigi said.
"Yeah, and Peach didn't want Tiara to go home just yet. She wants to take her on a tour to make up for the one Bowser took us on." Daisy added.
"Wait a sec! Did Mario and Peach tell you what they did last night?!" Luigi asked.
"You bet they did! I was so happy for them when I found out! And Peach asked me to be her maid of honor! They told me that you already agreed to be the best man." Daisy smiled.
"I'm glad they got together, but I'm also glad that you're okay; that you stopped Bowser." Luigi said as he got up, went over to Daisy's chair, and gave her a hug.
"And I'm glad that all's well that ends well." Daisy said, returning the hug.
The two spent the rest of the day together, just talking about the way things had been since the last time they saw each other.
At nightfall, Mario came home with Cappy on his head, and Daisy said to the red-clad plumber, "I guess I'll go spend the night at Peach's Castle. You can take me home tomorrow."
"Peach and I figured that out when you weren't returning in the afternoon." Mario replied.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Daisy said. She gave Luigi a kiss, and Mario got a hug, and then she left the mansion, making her way back to Peach's Castle.
"Ti amo, Daisy! I love you!" Luigi called after the princess's retreating back.
Daisy turned around, smiled at her green-clad beau, and replied, "I love you too, Luigi!"
The next morning, after a good breakfast, Luigi joined Mario, Peach, Cappy, Tiara, and Daisy as they took the Odyssey to Sarasaland. They all talked about Mario and Peach's upcoming wedding on the way there, and helped them make some plans for it.
When they finally got to Sarasaland, they landed right outside of Daisy's Castle.
"Home again, home again..." Daisy muttered. She didn't mind being home, but she honestly wished she could spend more time with her cousin and the Mario Bros.
"It was good to see you, though, Daisy." Peach replied.
"Di sicuro lo era. It sure was." said Luigi.
"And I was glad to be able to see you guys again, and to help you out for once. As for the wedding, I'll be there. It'll be great to see you guys for that!" Daisy said.
After good-bye hugs and calls of "See you soon!", Daisy left the Odyssey and walked back up to the doors leading into her castle. She took one last look at the Odyssey before entering the castle, ready to let her parents know what she did, that she was fine, and all was well.
Then the group returned to the Mushroom Kingdom to start planning a new tour, and more of Mario and Peach's wedding. The best part of this would be that Bowser wouldn't be going after them for a good while.
The End
Well, that's that. I never expected to write this much for a side-story to go with "Bowser's Been Had!". Hope you liked it!
