In the beginning, there was just I, Vladimir Master aka Vlad Plasmius, the only Half-Ghost in existence. Then I met another, one made by the same man and mistake that had gone through.

Daniel Fenton, a mediocre by many standards, but he's like me. A half-ghost, Danny Phantom… charm, but lacking finest. But he's excused, he's still a child after all.

At first, I was confused and then delighted.

"Finally, someone who can understand me! Someone that I can bond with… someone… someone that can become my son!"

… or an apprentice, but a son is better. Especially as he is Maddie's.

Of course, being the prideful being that I am, I never outright said what I truly want… But he would be my son anyway, after I take the buffoon of a man out of the picture of course, and have my beloved and with her, Daniel.

It was perfect! Two powerful beings and two smartest women in a single-family! We could rule the entire world, and everything would become perfect!

But of course, like many children of his age, he rebelled.

"… Ha! Take that, fruit loop!"

Again….

"… Do you seriously think I would like to be your son? Dream again your crazy fruit loop!"

And again….

"Whatever evil scheme you're planning it won't work!"

And Again…. Over and over that it drives me to the point where I started to harbor anger toward the boy.

"Fine, Daniel! You consider me the villain!? Then you would have me as one!"

Thus, starts our rivalry.

… By normal ghost-zone denizen standards, I am the stronger one and would likely win the feud that we had started. But what he lacks in power, he made it up with Maddie's gadgets and the help of his companions.

Plan foiled one after another, I give up on having Daniel himself as my son. Because I started cloning him. Because why must I need to bother getting him if I can just one?

But the cloning and the clone themselves are all failures. I lack many things in creating the perfect son, the perfect half-ghost son.

That's why I sent out my 'daughter' to get that mid-morp DNA from Daniel. But like his brothers, she was also unstable, and would likely die within a few days at most or a few hours at worst.

Poor, thing. I feel bad for her, but I knew I can't help her and so I shut my emotion. Dubbing her as a failed product in my head.

Then trouble arrived in the form of Daniel and Red Huntress. My cloning lab was broken, and my perfect son was gone.

My resentment towards Daniel grew at that moment, but I was too down back then to act in vengeance.

The two Phantoms made a bond, with one staying in amity, protecting it like he always does, with the other making her journey towards discovering herself.

It would be quite a while before I hear any news from her. But when it had come, I don't know why I become mad. I had made the task of stabilizing her hard for the two of them. But, in the end, I failed, and she became stable. Making her, now a pseudo-half-ghost, as her standing as a clone still made it hard for us to where to pin her.

But anyways… that was from just me, then both of us… then the three of us. I thought that the three of us would be like that…. Just us.

Then I later learned that Tucker Foley, a friend of Daniel had once wished to have all of Daniels's power back then. But he grew out of control and let his obsession get the better of him.

… Hump, foolish. Even though Daniel called me obsessed, I am not. Unlike Daniel who can't or better yet doesn't know about his obsession, I knew mine and know how to regulate and control it.

Now back to this Tucker fellow. Daniel's solution to his friend's problem was to separate tucker from his ghost-self using the ghost catcher and then chucking the ghost into the ghost zone.

And then said ghost comes back and a long with it is an army of Egyptian ghosts. Led with a mummy ghost.

The battle was fierce, to say the least, I even participated myself as the battle got out of hand, making the entire town and the ghost zone a very chaotic battlefield.

Then, while I was finishing up the remaining armies Daniel comes out of the pyramid, and with him is a now true half-ghost Tucker. He dubbed himself, Tucker Ghoully.

"… That increase as to four…"

At that time, I don't know why I smirk and this one is not because of anything malicious. I purely smirk because of… delight...?

Months passed and no more 'fight' had broken out between me and Daniel. He thought that it was because there are two of them now. Hah! If only they know.

I lost my desire to pursue a perfect son, I don't know why. But I do still want my Maddie and still take plenty of action in making her mine, but that's just pure Vlad Master and not Plasmius talking.

It was a peaceful time for all of us… then comes the young Wes. Trouble was the only thing that I can think of the kid. He almost revealed us to the government of all things.

And me being me, I sent Skulker and a few Vultures to take care of him… and what do you know? Daniel and Tucker had gone their way in saving him.

"Uuuugh…! Those brats are just so goody two shoes!"

I called the hunt off when I hear that they started fighting. And like the idiots that they are, they started celebrating their 'win' and let something slip that confirms their identity for Wes.

Of course, the kid ran and the two followed him all day trying to convince him not to tell anyone. I even teleported all of us to my lab to make sure everything is ok.

Then the kid started trashing and had himself mix with my experimental ecto-goo… I facepalmed so hard my face went red.

He escapes, and we let him, all so that the three of us can talk half-ghost to half-ghost. I officially congratulated Tucker on his new state of being. We discussed and contemplate a way to stop Wes from revealing our secrets, begrudgingly on their side.

Any proposal that aligns with killing the target was dismissed.

And all while all that was happening. Wes somehow tangle himself with many malicious ghosts and nearly killed himself… if it weren't for a very powered-up Technus to jump out and spark out electricity everywhere, driving the ghost gathered… but also ultimately killing Wes.

Technus possessed the body of Wes to hide from Daniel and Tucker but was kicked out two days after. Because of my experimental ecto-goo and Technus possessing him, Wes was revived. Though the three didn't know any of that until days later when Wes started showing signs of ghost powers.

His process of turning into a half-ghost was kind of like mine, slow. Unlike the Two phantoms and ghouls, who gain theirs instantly.

After a week of clumsiness, Wes had officially become Wes Wisp. It resolves our earlier dilemma.

"… W-Wait that-then I am. I am like you guys NOW!?"

Ugh… he is even more annoying than Tucker when he started rumbling about the 'cool' stuff he and the kids these days like.

And unlike the four of us who are with order… Wes Wisp is a menace. He doesn't have that much an experience with ghost, other than ghost=danger and never even tried to learn any! He just enjoys having power!

"…. "What's the point of all this if I can't enjoy it?" …. Say that to all the property damage you had caused in just a day, you damn twerp!"

There is a silver lining to this event, Daniella finally got back home… with me. Well, she reasoned that she's only here because of Wes and she wants to know the new guy and then she'll be gone after…. and that was months ago now.

"… Stupid… alarm… ringing so…. Huaaahh-! Early…"

"Your breakfast is ready and so is your bath, Daniel said he's going to show you to the far frozen… wherever that is."

(Hmm…? Is the coffee slightly better? But it's the same thing as before… hmmm)

"Mkay... Yeah..."

Good grief, brats.

But even with all the chaos, these brats had brought to this house and this city… I feel content, somehow.

… and when all of us are finally getting back to our usual routine tragedy occurs.

Daniel and Jasmine fell into an unstable portal. We couldn't contact them for an entire three days.

Even the time-ghost wasn't of any help. Though, interestingly, he thought I was the leader of this group of misfits. HA!

But after three days, we were able to establish a remote viewing device. With it shows Daniel fighting a…. a demon! And alongside him are other teenagers, wearing colorful costumes. Two of the five has a rather odd skin pigmentation and one of them was a cyborg.

… intriguing, but not as much as Jasmine… who now bears the same color and clothing as her brother's Phantom form.

When they had come back, with the help of Clockwork and the cloaked girl, Raven as I later learned her name. We learned that when they got there, Daniel nearly died. Because no active ecto-energies are going around that 'world' and he needed to anchor himself to something… or in this case someone.

Jasmine naturally produces and does not consume ectoplasm, as such was Daniel's lifeline in that world. But when that demon came along, the cloaked girl amplified Daniel's power with magic. But this caused Jasmine to become overflowed with Daniel's ecto-radiation.

Many factors were included, like the entire city becoming terrified and the ambient negative energy further boosted Daniel and Jasmine, thus providing a safe and quick transformation for Jasmine to become a half-ghost… temporarily.

But I don't buy that 'temporarily' thing, as such I, prepare a med bay in case something happens.

Not even a week later, I was proven right, and she was in severe need of ecto transfusion, something a normal human shouldn't even need!

Both Daniel and Daniella give some of their own to her. It had taken hours for her to become stable and all of us were worried.

But thankfully the next day she was fine and in better shape even! Plus, she now has ghost powers! But unlike us, she doesn't have a ghost form. She's a meta as both siblings called her state.

(Meta… hmmm, probably something they had picked up on in the other world.)

With the successful transfusion, I was inspired and created something that'll finally stabilize Daniella completely.

I requested Daniel and Jasmine for their help and their and their parent's DNA.

…. The process was long and honestly quite stressful and lonely. But it was successful in the end… after a long month, she become a real person. Her feature is no longer that of a gender-bend Daniel but it's now her very own.

I cried when she chooses me over the Fenton's…

"Hah…? They may be my genetic family but you're the one who made me!"

She was such a tsun-something while saying that….

"… Y-yeah… I did… right…"

That night, I cried. I said sorry for everything that I had done to her and promise that I would make up for it… I started repenting, I don't even know why… I even pray in a church, not asking for forgiveness but punishment.

In all honesty, I was so into asking for punishment that the kids even resort to dragging me away.

… Kohum..!

The media did get a hold of this, but instead of slandering me, they painted me as a good guy. A good guy who committed a mistake that he was asking for punishment instead of forgiveness. The kids even added something along the line of "He nearly killed somebody by accident and he can't forgive himself for it".

"They are kind of right… I did almost kill her back then…. Oh my God, I almost killed my kid!"

Sad to say, the children had a hard time bringing me back.

Months after that whole fiasco, some wannabe expert ghost hunters come to town. Two brothers that use a shotgun with salt as ammunition. They even have the guts to say they personally know an angel named Cass or something. Ha! Like that'll ever be real.

They are so fake.

Firstly, they don't know anything about our kind of ghost. Because apparently, we aren't in that book of theirs. I call bogus on that book and their whole supernatural hunter gimmick… but… they are trouble.

Their visit was like an invitation to trouble. As a week here, demons started popping out of nowhere and crying for their blood. That made reconsider the notion of them having met an angel, but I drop right after as they don't bare any mark of one.

We tried to help. But those two didn't want any and they even tried killing us. Mind, you, salt don't do anything to us. We aren't slugs and slime.

But getting shot by a shotgun does hurt, a lot.

And as they have the tendency to shoot whatever flies, and they were fighting demons at that time that also fly. They had shot Red Huntress, Valerie, with a silver bullet… in the head. Thankfully the helmet protected her, it didn't help her fall through.

She was comatose and was said to never wake up again. But the kids never lost hope and started to find ways to wake her up, including entering her mind.

We set her up with this Fenton nightmare Sucker, which does the opposite and pulls a person within a person's mind instead.

There Daniella and Daniel volunteered to bring her back.

"Are you sure you are up for this...?"

"Of course! And don't forget that Val likes and trusts me!"

"Ok, just be careful in there, sweetheart."

They had stayed there, still like dolls for hours. Sometimes they even thrash around in their sleep making me want to pull the plug and have them out there.

But the kids stop me from doing so. Wes was even zipping all over the place worrying that we are going to be attacked while Daniel is asleep. Naturally, Tucker and I took offense to this.

I had grumpily moved out of the lab and patrolled amity, I even prove my strength superior when I had taken Walker and Ember back to the zone in record time and that was after taking out ghost beasts and ravens, also in record time.

"Hah…! This is kind of fun."

When I come back, I found my sweetheart festering over Daniel. It had become too dangerous inside and Daniel had decided to kick my daughter out before it gets here.

Thankfully they come out unharmed and they brought young Valerie into the waking world.

" Aahhhh!"

Ooh, and she's a half-ghost now… technically.

Her suit, which we didn't take off, has turned into her very own artificial ghost core. Granting her all basic ghost power and transformation.

"Hehehe! Our families had grown again!"

A family huh….?

As much as that is ideal, sweetheart. My history with the Fenton's and their allies aren't going to make that happen.

"… W-wait!? I'm a ghost!?"

Ugh… this is going to be a long week.

Three months after that, two years and eight months after my first meeting with Daniel, a very unforeseen disaster struck.

But really, I should have seen it coming. Children no matter what status, what age, and what they say otherwise, always get jealous.

"Now, now, Samantha. Let us not have your emotion gets the better of you and calm down!"

"WHAT!? Vlad! You don't say "calm down" to any person that is having an emotional outburst as they'll do the opposite!"

"Oh, give it a rest little badger. We had taken down Pariah Dark, we can take her on any day a week! What could go wrong?"

I probably shouldn't have said that…. As after I said it, Samantha had taken out the ring of Rage and wore it.

"Oh, butter biscuit."

I was knockout and was promptly removed from battle. When I come to, it was over, and Samantha had regained back to her normal, average for her age, small size… just with a few leaves and vines in her hair and clothes… nope, her entire clothes are made of plants.

"… so… how did it go?"

"You're not going to believe this, but Sam's a halfa now!"

(At this point, little badger, I think becoming a half-ghost is not that unbelievable now.)
