The first part is Jesús remembering a time with Sherise.
"Sherise!"
Prince Jesús was walking around the Pride Lands looking for the cub that's in sister's charge. His father, grandmother and half of the pride don't treat her too well, all because of who her father and grandfather is.
Kovu killed his older twin brother and scarred him but he is not taking how he feels about Kovu on Sherise. She wasn't even born yet and it was just ridiculous to do so.
As the sun began to set a loud snarl was heard. The pale beige lion looked and to his horror saw Sherise being chased by a leopard.
Jesús bolted towards them without another thought.
"You stay away from that cub!" Jesús roared as he leaped between the leopard and the dark brown cub.
The leopard skitted to a stop and glared at the Queen's brother."You stay out of this!"
"I'm not going to tell you again! Leave or face my sister's justice!"
The leopard didn't moved so Jesús growled as he took a swipe at the leopard. Catching his eyes.
"Ow. Ow. No fair, I wasn't ready!" cried the leopard before running of.
"Coward!" Jesús snorted before turned to see a sheepishly smiling dark brown cub.
Jesús frowned down at the cub with a disappointed glare."Sherise, what was you thinking!"
Sherise looked down and said, "I'm sorry."
"Sorry dosn't cut it! You could of been killed! I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you!"
Sherise frowned, "Why? Because I am some pawn for your sister!"
Jesús shook his head and said, "You're not a pawn. Jata and I care about you very much. We and our family are happy to have you living with us."
Sherise turned her head as Jesús sighed. He looked at the sun setting sky before looking back at Sherise and nuzzled her.
As you go through life you'll see
There is so much that we
Don't understand
Sherise looked up and saw a small blue bird trying to fly from it's nest. But the mother stopped it. Sherise lowered her head.
And the only thing we know
Is that things don't always go
The way we planned
But you'll see everyday
That we'll never turn away
When it seems all your dreams come undone
Jesús and Sherise stood on a tall hill and watched a baby wildebeest take it's first step.
We will stand by your side
Filled with hope and filled with pride
We are more than we are
We are one
Jesús and Sherise were walking over a log, when the dark brown cub stopped and looked at her reflection in the water.
If there's so much I must be
Can't I still just be me
The way i am?
Jesús looked over at Sherise with a smile before walking away. Sherise looked back at her reflection before looking to the sky.
Can I trust in my own heart
Or am i just one part
Of some big plan?
Jesús.stood on a very high branch with his black mane tossing in the wind as Sherise climbed half way.
Even those who are gone
Are with us as we go on
Your journey has only begun
Tears of pain tears of joy
One thing nothing can destroy
Is our pride deep inside
We are one
Sherise and Jesús raced through the savannah as the Queen's brother sang.
We are one you and I
We are like earth and sky
One family under the sun
All the wisdom to lead
All the courage that you need
You will find when you see
We are one
Sherise and Jesús had made to Pride Rock. Sherise looked unsure, so Jesús walked over and nuzzled her.
"You will understand one day."
-O-
Jesús sighed, oh he understands now. It took time, at least until Sherise became a teenager that he realized just how much he loved the young lioness.
"I miss you Sherise..."
"Still weeping over my pathetic sister."
The pale beige lion looked and saw Kambili a few feet, growled as a piece of his black mane fell in his face.
"Watch how you talk about the love of my life!"
Kambili chuckled, "So you're going to marry a dead lioness and these Pridelanders call my dad and grandpa sick."
"How do you know that? She could be alive!"
Kambili shook his head and smirked, "Because I killed her myself."
Rage and angry filled Jesús' dark brown eyes as he pounced, letting out a furious roar.
-O-
Jata had just returned hunting when she heard her brother's roar. Without thinking she bolted towards the sound. When she got to the clearing she saw her brother in full combat with Kambili.
"Jesús!"
Kambili smacked the younger lion across the face which sent him falling to the ground.
"I could kill you but I won't. I will let my friends do it. But I'll give you a head start." Kambili snarled mockingly.
Jata heard everything and had tears falling as she cried, "Jesús, run!"
Jesús looked at his sister before getting up and running off with two large hyenas on his tail.
-O-
"Sherise?"
The two year dark brown lioness shook her head and looked at the young blonde wolf next to her. Over the time Sherise had lived in the wolf base. She became really great friends with Adrien, Sirius, José and Zahara. But the young lioness felt mostly drawn to the large blonde and black wolf.
"Something's wrong!"
"How do you know?" José asked he and Sirius walked up.
"I just have a feeling." cried Sherise before running off.
The three wolves shared a look before running after the dark brown lioness.
