"Doctor, please, talk to me," Yaz said, cornering her in the medical room.
"I want to, it's just hard," the Doctor replied as she tried to use some kind of regenerator on herself.
"Here, let me," Yaz said, taking over. There was a sizable cut on the Doctor's arm and Yaz knew it would take about five minutes to heal.
"I don't know where to start, so much has happened, but I'm scared. I only feel whole when I'm around you and that also scares me. My feelings scare me."
"It's okay to feel and I'm here for you, always."
"Doctor! Where do you think you're going? Yaz asked as she marched into the control room.
"I was just going to settle a debt, shouldn't take me too long," the Doctor replied, trying to be casual.
"You are not going anywhere. Do you think you can just slip me a message now instead of talking to me? If that's how it's going to be, take me home. Right now." Yaz folded her arms and stared at the woman in front of her. She looked almost like she wanted to cry.
"I don't want you to leave."
"Then talk to me."
"What's on your mind?" Yaz asked, sitting down next to the Doctor.
"Lots of stuff," the Doctor replied, wiping at her face.
"What has made you cry, start with that," Yaz suggested, handing the Doctor a tissue.
"I don't agree with stuff. I found out I was taken and experimented on as a child, used as a science experiment, and now I only remember my last twelve regenerations. I don't know who I am."
"You are my Doctor and I love you." Holding the Doctor in her arms, Yaz let her cry her feelings out until no more tears came.
The Doctor knew that Yaz was her everything. After thinking long and hard about how she felt, she knew she couldn't let Yaz go. Her past hung over her, all the heartache, all the pain. Yaz was her universe and she was the universe and without Yaz she felt like an empty shell travelling through time and space.
Knocking on Yaz's bedroom door before she entered, the Doctor found Yaz curled up in bed and reading a book.
"I cannot have a universe without you in it, you are my sunshine on a rainy day."
"Come join me." Yaz smiled.
The Doctor felt like a weight had been lifted off her chest. She told Yaz everything through a waterfall of tears and sobs, and now here she lay, in Yaz's arms.
Yaz was softly caressing her upper arm, drawing little doddles on it occasionally. The Doctor felt loved, her hearts were full, and Yaz was her sunshine. Feeling her eyes getting heavy, the Doctor yawn and did her best to stay awake.
"Get some sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up," Yaz promised, pressing a soft kiss to the Doctor's forehead.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"I think we are here," the Doctor smiled, checking the display on the screen in front of her.
"Where is here, exactly?" Yaz asked, shrugging her leather jacket on.
"It's a very beautiful planet, I've wanted to take you here for ages." Grabbing hold of Yaz's hand, the Doctor led them outside into a beautiful green field filled with colourful alien flowers that had blossomed all over the hill side.
"This is amazing," Yaz said, looking around in wonder.
"I'm glad. I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. I'm sorry for being an arse."
