The following day, Stoney was out with Bamm-Bamm and the kids trick-or-treating.
"Trick-or-treat!" said Stoney while knocking on the door to a house.
"Oh my," said the woman who answered the door.
"What a scary vampire and adorable babies," she said while handing out candy from a large bowl she was holding.
"Thanks," said Stoney and Bamm-Bamm at the same time before walking away.
"Hey, Bamm-Bamm, can I ask you a question?" asked Stoney while heading down the street.
"Sure you can, Stoney," said Bamm-Bamm.
"Do you think Wilma will really recover like Elroy said she will?" asked the young boy who was beginning to cry.
"Hey, stop for a second," said Bamm-Bamm while kneeling down with the twins in his hands so that he could look Stoney in the face.
"Look, Fred would never do anything that old hurt Wilma and I don't doubt he would give her that medicine without trusting Elroy, so I'll trust in what Elroy said as well," he said.
"I guess you have a point," said Stoney.
"Good, now how about drying those tears and let's go get more candy," said Bamm-Bamm.
"You got it," said Stoney as he wiped his tears away. As the four of them continued their hunt for candy, Fred and Pebbles were back at home talking in the kitchen.
"Are you sure that mom will be alright with that medicine?" asked Pebbles.
"Don't worry, sweetheart," said Fred while hugging his daughter.
"She's in good hands with Elroy, and you'll see that by the time you're to go home," he said.
"I hope you're right," said Pebbles while hugging him back.
"I really do," she said as the tears began to roll down her cheeks.
