(Started this in what seems like forever ago. Sadly I haven't had much time to write but got a few hours today and I hate not having closure. So I finished this up. I am hoping to be able to pick up getting some more writing done Anyways I hope you enjoy and thank you for reading)
Xander carried the pizza and breadsticks into Buffy's place. It was a battle field of packed cardboard boxes and furniture. As he walked through the house looking for Buffy he called out. "I bring Slayer fuel."
Buffy popped her head out of the bedroom. "Double cheese double Pepperoni?"
"Come on? You don't think I know you?"
"Everything is packed and ready so it might be a good time for a break." Xander nodded and went to the table pulling up a chair.
"So you sure about this?"
"This? The pizza?"
"Yeah cause the pizza is the life changing choice I'm talking about."
"I know what you are talking about. Yes I am ready to give up my house and call your place home. Are you asking me If I am sure cause you are unsure if you want me moving in with you?"
He flipped open the box and grabbed a slice. "Oh No Summers. I have zero doubt. You moving in with me is just this side of perfection."
Buffy matching his movement grabbed a slice of her own. "Well to answer your question, this place is really silly to hold on to. I haven't slept here in 9 months. Even the two weeks you were out of town working in Burma with the new Slayers I stayed at your place."
"It's not like you haven't been making my house your own."
Buffy bit the slice and smiled. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
"You replaced my bed with your own."
"My mattress was more comfortable than yours and my bed frame was a better match with the tone of the rest of the room."
"Tone? You mean the matching dressers and night stand."
"I kind of dig the whole marking your territory thing."
She couldn't help but laugh and put the slice down. "All the same if you would have told me that I'm shacking up with my boyfriend Xander Harris."
"Could you imagine telling High School Buffy"
"Hell even Buffy 2 years ago. I would have asked what crazy parallel universe are you living in."
"But the Buffy of today?"
She smiled reaching across the table. "Just try and take this life from me."
"So the alternative?"
"Alternative?"
"Well I mean Angel just shut down another branch of Wolfram and Hart. He is living the life of adventure and we are moving everything over to my place tonight hoping to get done in time so we can watch Stranger Things."
Buffy rolled her eyes. "Oh please. I am happy with my comfy cozy life. Besides the slayers we train and mentor are just as impactful as anything Angel is doing. For the record though that is a nice try. We are watching The Boy's tonight and Stranger Things tomorrow."
"But Stranger Things is."
"Going to have to wait. I want to watch The Boys and you agreed."
"Wasn't really fair. I mean you weren't wearing panties and I would have agreed to anything"
"Well play your cards right and maybe the panties stay off and we see what you can do with that?" Xander quickly scanned the room. Buffy was a little surprised at his lack of response. "No snappy come back?"
"Oh I'm just wondering how fast we can get everything loaded and put away."
"Oh Really?"
"I'm doing the math on how long the episode of the Boys will be."
"You think you can get this move done fast?"
He didn't respond instead he stood up and walked to the front door as 6 different slayers walked in through the front door. Sasha walked up to Xander taking the lead. "Hey Boss Man everything ready."
He nodded at Sasha. "We have everything packed up and ready. The boxes marked with black tape are getting donated to The Helping Hands shelter. The one with the blue Painters tape go to my place and everything else is going to the storage shelter."
Buffy felt conflicted. "Xander we can't ask them to help us on a personal matter."
Sasha shook her head not letting him respond. "He didn't ask we volunteered."
Buffy sucked in a breath and waited. "I appreciate that but this is too much."
Sasha stepped to her. "It really isn't. Xander bends over back wards for us daily. He makes sure we have what we need in the field. Last Christmas he paid for plane tickets for all of the girls who couldn't afford to get home to their family. So an hour or two of moving boxes is a small price."
Buffy didn't know what to say. "Okay well. Don't let me stand in your way."
With that Sasha joined the rest of the girls and started packing things up. Xander just looked to Buffy. "I still can surprise you."
She looked in his eyes and fell in love with him all over again. "What surprises me is every time I think you can't get any more incredible you prove me wrong." She stood on her tip toes and kissed him passionately.
He slid his hands to her butt pulling her a little closer. He ended the kiss and stared in to her eyes. He had no doubt about his woman. He loved her more than he ever would love or could love anyone. "We have a team of slayers helping us but we should still probably at least pretend to put in some form of effort."
"I'd say we finish the pizza but." She turned around to find the pizza box completely empty.
Xander scanned the room to find the slayers eating the pizza and carrying the boxes. "Oh yeah I forgot. You can't leave food out among your kind."
"Slayers might be more dangerous to pizza than vampires." Buffy turned and picked up a near by box and started with other slayers loading her things. Xander took a moment wanting to take a mental picture of this moment.
His future was Buffy Summers, she had made him happy in every way and he was ready to lock it down. The box in his back pocket was his promise of that. He had bought the ring only a month after they started dating. He was ready to ask her on that day but knew he had to be patient. He would wait till the time was right.
The funny part to all of it was Buffy knew about the ring for the last 6 months. The jeweler he purchased it from called to double check on the inscription. "Can I have you" It was the first thing he had ever said to her. Buffy knew in that moment when he asked her there would only be one answer. It had been hard waiting but soon her wait would be over. She was ready to answer that first question she never got the chance to the first day of school. "Yes you can have me. Forever and Ever."
