Of the royal house of Attilan (from earth-838) and of the other people
Disclaimer: I do not own anyone here, really.
Across the multiverse, (Earth-838)
Once upon a time, when Ward and his family were crowded around their youngest, (who had the sniffles, of the mundane variety), their front door was opened wide, and in came Karl Mordo, escorting a draped corpse.
"Necromancer, I need your help!" he proclaimed, in a clear state of panic as he pointed at the mysterious corpse, (who could have been any of several people, but)…
"Firstly, I'm not a necromancer – I brought back one person, her," Grant pointed at Kara, "and we took the long, proper way too-"
"Harrowed the limbo," Kara said brightly, but before the discussion could devolve further, the front door… was not opened, because it already was, and Queen Medusa, (technically, Medusalith, but no one cared at this point), accompanied by several other InHumans, appeared on the scene.
"Necromancer, the royal court of Attilan requires your services," she proclaimed grandly, as she used her hair to reveal the corpse and its' identity: it was King Black Bolt, (well, Blackagar Boltagon, but this so was not the point right now). However…
"Your king is missing his head," Grant Ward said flatly, "so do tell, how do you think that he should be resurrected?"
"This is not Our problem; this is your problem-"
"Right, right," Grant shot Mordo a very unfriendly look. "My family's, right. Mordo-"
Mordo seemed to have gone into shock at Her Majesty's arrival, and not in a good way. "Right, this changes things," Ward muttered. "Poots?"
"Yeah?" Daisy called out from her spot in Medusa's royal entourage.
"Could you contact the royal telepath now?"
"Wait a sec," Daisy said, as she grabbed Lockjaw, and the duo poofed out and back with the InHuman in question – a rather venerable entity named Sterilon.
"Hello, sir," Ward called out politely. "You've heard the news, I gather?"
"Yes," Sterilon said curtly. "What-?"
"The only way to revive him is to use the Time Stone to bring him back," Ward continued smoothly; "sadly, the only one who knows about it is Mordo over here, and he isn't cooperating because of reasons. Could you use your powers to-"
"Gladly!" Sterilon cut off the younger man as he moved towards Mordo: the late king was beloved by the InHumans even moreso than his wife was, whereas Mordo had rubbed wrong the InHumans in his usual arrogant way before in the past, so no good will was long there, as Sterilon probed Mordo's mind… very, very carefully.
"…I know where it is," he finally spoke. "It is under control of prince Namor!"
There was a pause as everyone thought this over.
"…I don't suppose that Kebo over there would be willing to take one for the team?" Triton, (also of the InHumans), asked Ward. "Please?"
(What was left unsaid that if Kebo refused, then Triton would have to take it, and he and Namor had had a history and not a good one).
"I hear you," Ward said kindly, "but I got a different idea: maybe we can use Karl Mordo instead?"
There was a pause as everyone thought this over and tried to find any flaws in it, (as no one present liked Mordo…or Namor, for that matter).
"This idea has Royal approval!" Medusa said finally. "Lockjaw, if you will?"
And Lockjaw complied.
About 10 minutes later…
…And so had Namor, once Medusa presented him with Mordo – but then again, this was prince Namor, so no one was surprised.
"Right," Medusa said brightly, as she looked at the glowing green rock in her hands. "Off I go now to rescue my beloved Blackagar-"
"Ahem," spoke several other people, all of which had also lost their representatives in the Illuminati, (such as the Avengers, the X-Men and the remaining Fantastic 4).
"…I think that they also want to go," Daisy commented quietly from her spot.
"It's a group outing, then? Yay! It's been a while since there was one!" Medusa said brightly and zapped everyone with the Time Stone, and when the green light faded, they were gone.
"Um," Daisy said thoughtfully. "What now-"
"You contact your friend Crystal, of course," Ward immediately replied.
Daisy glared.
Another 10 – or so – minutes later…
"So, not only Black Bolt is gone, but sister dear went after him in time to save him?" Crystal – well, princess Crystalia of the royal house of Attilan – did not even try to sound sad. "Good for her!" (Whatever she felt towards her brother-in-law, the relationship between her and Medusa, the elder sister, was at a low point right now, and the bar had never been too high). "If you'll excuse me, but my consort and me, we need to assume stewardship of Attilan! Pietro!"
"Coming!" the Quicksilver of the earth-838 said brightly, as he zoomed over to his spouse, before pause. "Wanda? How are you and the kids are dealing with the rest of it?"
"Glad that my alternate version is gone back to wherever she came from," Wanda of earth-838 replied almost as cheerfully, "and even happier that no one is blaming our family instead. Yay!"
"Good," Crystal said faux-grandly, and the mismatched trio left.
"Now what?" Daisy Johnson asked no one in particular.
"You should really ask your mom," Ward commented, when their youngest made a tiny sniffle, and then said in an even tinier voice – "Mama!" and that was the end of this story for a while.
