BAD VISIONS

Irina sipped her lemon tea and sighed, "I heard your mother was the speaker in Dynamics, how was that?"

"It was great and se had the most amazing news."

Donnie paused, making sure all eyes were on her.

Willow dropped her cup, "Spill, my Earl Grey is gonna get cold."

"My mum is pregnant!"

Her friends all beamed, Willow pulled her into a hug.

"That's great news wish I had more siblings," Grace said as she blew on her Masala chai.

"Any names in mind already?" Serena asked.

"It's a bit too early for that, and anyways she wants it to be a group decision."

"Such hexcellent news before Legacy Day tomorrow," Vanilla added.

May finished her carrot biscuits and looked up, "Have the elves finished decorating the garden? I can't believe Headmaster Grimm waited this long."

"May, you know elves and their speed, the garden will be ready by tonight anyways," Aquamarine replied, "But what I want to know is…what is every tale wearing? I'm wearing my mum's gold coral dress but adding a modern twist."

"Don't know yet, my mother sent sixteen snow gowns and I am still trying to choose between the one with faux fur or the one with the icicle collar."

"I could help when we get back."

"Thanks Vanilla, another eye would definitely be needed. What about you Ozians? Any ideas? Headmaster Grimm is lenient since you are new."

"Yeah, but we had to decide in advance, such a chore," Donnie groaned. "Here, I have some pictures of mine."

Pulling out her Mirror Phone, she caught a glimpse of a hext message from Jackson: Meet me at the tallest tower in school 9

She sent a quickly reply: Sure, what's the surprise?

Jackson: You'll see :P

"What's that smile for?" Willow nudged her.

"Just a message from Jack."

"Aww, how romantic, I love how you two are together, tales from different stories making it work," Aquamarine gushed as she stirred her tea absent-mindedly.

"Thanks. Okay so this is it," Donnie brought her phone to the centre.

Before she could say anymore, Grace gasped; eyes turning milky and mumbling words.

"Did she say she was having one?" Vanilla asked.

"No, that's strange. She always knows when she is," Aquamarine looked concerned.

Inside Grace's head, the visions came in flashes, before she could understand what each one meant: a shadow, green skin, a tree, the Storybook of Legends, dark clouds.

This sequence repeated itself several times, each time getting more intense until they turned bright white.

Her eyes cleared and in front of her were her friends, worry sitting in their eyes.

"What did you see?" Serena asked.

"Something bad is coming to Ever After. I don't know when, but I saw the Storybook of Legends."

"Tomorrow?"

"I have no idea Serena, all I know is when it does come, it will be big!"
