Sup Guys? Lighting Wolf here. Back with another story, one about Mass Effect and Warhammer. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Warhammer and Mass Effect, Bioware, Games Workshop, and a few others do.
To a marine of the Imperial Fists? They did not retreat. They did not falter nor break in their formations. They greeted each engagement as a new environment to hone their skill and talent at siege warfare.
"The order was given. We, the Blood Angels, and Ultramarines." One heard as they nodded and slowly started to make preparations. "I am surprised that they came and are at war with the forces of Chaos as well." The Marine added.
"The 'Reapers' do not care about the galaxy, brother." He said as they walked from their part of the port. "We depart the Phalanx in one hour. Half the chapters are to be deployed and half is to stay and protect." He stated with a sigh.
The Phalanx, the pride of their legion. The flagship of their fleet and their home for millions of people. They had lived here for centuries and it showed in their demeanor.
"Well. At least we won't need to maintain it today." The marine said to which there was a chuckle. "What? We were not supposed to handle these duties. I am not lazy, I am simply…" He started to say before the other marine chimed in.
"Lazy." He said with a smile. "Now we head to the planet of Palaven. The emperor's allies have reports of Reaper troops below. We and the Blood Angels are being sent to reinforce them at the moment." He said while he frowned to himself.
"The big fish ships?" He heard as he rolled his hands in the air.
"Good. We will supply the Turians and the Krogan with the most perfect of bases in the entire galaxy.
"Ah, such pride, brother." He said while he rolled his eyes and pulled his helmet atop his head. "We all work together… And shoot the enemy as perfectly as any other legion would. We handle the duties of the emperor's soldiers as any others would. Now then, we board the gunship and prepare for the battle with the filth of the enemy's army. We depart now." He said while he rolled his eyes and started to don his gear.
They were to prepare for combat with their allies and reinforce them. After that? They were done and free to return to their home until a period where their mastery of siege warfare was to be done anew when it came down to it. They mentally eased themselves into battle as they were slowly preparing for what came next.
They slowly marched towards the hangers where they mentally prepared for what needed to be done. materials were loaded onto each shuttle so they may refine them properly. Weapons and ammo were attached to Thunderhawks so it was properly transported into their battleship.
Their battle barges were properly prepared with more ammo and weapons and well the group slowly piled onto their transports. The fact that none of them had been in battle for a few decades had made them a little rusty, but it didn't seem to matter to them for more than a few minutes.
A few dozen Thunderhawks left the floating city as they headed to the many cruisers and battle barges that had created their fleet. All of them were ready for the next plan to be made as they planned for a new plan to be done and dusted.
The fleet started to move, bloated with supplies and soldiers that were headed to a new battlefield they hadn't been ready for. The fact that there was far too much at risk for their plans to be stopped her helped. They needed to be done with this before too long or they'd be destroyed when it came down to it.
Still? There was plenty of time for them to handle their issues before too long. All they needed was time and effort to be placed on their goal.
The fleet left the ship and vanished into deep space while they left the monastery behind them. they were ready for a new assignment before too long.
They didn't know the sheer insanity and craziness that awaited them ahead of where they were. The legion wasn't ready for the next mission.
Author Notes
Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be a bit delayed. This story will be a mix of jokes and war and such. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words at the moment and will show the Imperial Fists at the battle of Palaven and sch. Until then, lighting Wolf out!
P.S: I MAY make a Dark Angels or Blood Angels story. I'll let you decide which.
