"Man, the Sports Festival was really something else!" Kaminari exclaimed as he walked into the classroom with the others, still hyped up from the whole event. It was another beautiful morning and the slight chill from the air served to wake up some of the sleepier students.

Students were slowly entering the classroom, exchanging excited chatter, their shoes squeaking loudly against the floor. A few of the others were already seated with their stationary and books out, others were leaning over their friends' tables, engaging in upbeat conversation. The excitement from the Sports Festival could still be felt in the air, almost electrifying.

"You were really great in your match with Bakugou, Uraraka! I wasn't expecting that at all!" Mina cheered, slamming her hands down on the aforementioned girl's desk, who jumped slightly at the sudden noise, before rubbing the back of her head, cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment.

"Those last matches were super Plus Ultra too!" Toru cheered, her sleeves pumping up in the air excitedly.

Izuku smiled as he walked over to his desk, slipping his bag off his shoulders and sliding into his seat. He pulled out his pencil case and his notebook filled with his quirk descriptions, setting them down neatly before he turned around to greet his friends like normal. He had just finished giving Ochako, Ida and Shoto his usual 'good morning' when he noticed something different out of the corner of his eye.

'When did these two extra seats get here?' he wondered, everyone else being too engaged in their own conversations to notice. He opened his mouth to ask the question before the door to the classroom slid open, Aizawa walking through and setting his clipboard down on the front table. The students that were out quickly scrambled to their seats, not wanting to incite his wrath this early in the morning.

"Good morning, class," he greeted, picking up his clipboard and began taking attendance. The bandages that he had from the USJ incident were no longer wrapped around his face, revealing the same tired and sleep-deprived gaze that the class had become familiar with.

"Sensei, are you all healed up now?" Tsuyu asked, tilting her head to the side curiously.

"It's gonna take a lot more than that to take me down. As a hero, you need to have the resilience befitting of one, even when you're outnumbered like that," came the gruff reply, the teacher marking another student down as present.

The class exchanged relieved grins with each other. Kirishima, Kaminari, Ojiro and Sato pumping their fists in glee. If their teacher could be snarky like that then he definitely was better. Izuku smiled to himself, feeling a little guilty about what had happened prior to the sports festival. He never would've imagined that they would get involved in something so dangerous so soon after starting their school year.

Aizawa finished up, placed the clipboard down and let out a tired sigh, resting his hand on the table and leaning against it. He scanned the room briefly, eyes landing on the two extra seats in the back before addressing the class as a whole.

"First things first, I'd like to congratulate everyone's performance during the Sports Festival, especially those who claimed the top 3 spots," he said, nodding his head at Todoroki, Bakugou, Tokoyami and Iida. Tokoyami crossed his arms, leaning back in seat. Todoriki simply nodded with Iida puffing his chest out in pride. The only one who was dissatisfied was the explosive student who took first place, who simply scoffed, looking away.

"I'll give the results of the festival and go into more detail in a moment. However, first I have an announcement to make."

The class immediately began murmuring amongst themselves, sharing curious looks. Izuku glanced back at the two empty seats, his eyes widening as he began connecting the dots.

"I wonder what it could be. What do you think, Jirou?" Sero asked the girl in front of him, who furrowed her brow in thought.

"I'm not sure myself," she muttered nonchalantly, leaning her chin into her hand.

"Alright, quiet down," Aizawa ordered, pinching his nose in mild irritation, sensing the excitement and curiosity in the air. Another sigh escaped his lips before he lifted his head and turned towards the door.

"You both can come in now."

The door slid open, two new figures that Izuku had never seen before entering the room, the shorter form closing the door behind them. When they turned to face the class, the first thing he noticed was their similar appearance. Or rather, their matching sapphire gazes. Guarded, closed off, but most of all, a silent determination.

The boy stood taller and straighter, his posture solid and unrelenting, as if daring the people in front of him to challenge him. The girl was holding one of her arms, shoulders slumped, reminding him of a weary animal with an uncertain look in her eye.

Once again the murmuring came back, soft whispers filling the air. The girl shifted from one leg to another, the boy moving his hand to gently squeeze her shoulder, and Izuku watched her relax ever so slightly.

"If you could briefly introduce yourselves, please," Aizawa requested, rubbing his eyes and yawning, leaning against the wall by the board. They nodded, the both of them picking up pieces of chalk and began writing their names on the board. It didn't go unnoticed that the last name that was written down for the both of them was the same. The chalk was placed back down, and the two new students faced the class.

"It's nice to meet you, my name is Hakuryu Tsukino!" he greeted cheerfully, raising his hand and waving at the other students.

"And my name is Harumi Tsukino," the girl added after him, doing a half-bow.

"As you can probably already tell, we're brother and sister! Twins in fact!"

"No way! I've never met any twins before!" Mina exclaimed.

"Which one's older?" Toru asked.

"Haku…" Harumi responded quietly, fidgeting with her sleeves uncomfortably.

"What are your quirks?" Denki almost demanded, the other members of the class nodding in agreement to his question.

It was so subtle that Izuku wasn't sure if he was seeing things right. But for a moment, he could see the fear and nervousness in the twins' face, the emotions being more visible on Haru's before it disappeared. Did he imagine that?

"Haru and I have similar quirks. It's called Psyche, and it's a psychokinesis power. I'm more of a close-combatant while my sister is a long-ranged fighter," Haku replied with an even tone.

"Psychokinesis?" Uraraka questioned, tilting her head to the side.

"Is that like telekinesis?" Ojiro inquired.

Aizawa glanced at the two, staying quiet for a brief moment before he pushed himself off the wall and stepped forward, getting the class's attention away from the twins.

"These two will be joining us in Class 1-A from now on. Treat them as you would each other," their homeroom teacher said. Haku simply gave a confident grin, with Haru remaining neutral, though she was gripping her sleeves a little tighter, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. Mina, Toru, Momo, Jiro, Uraraka and Tsuyu exchanged excited grins with each other.

"It's gonna be so nice to have another girl in this class! The brother is a cutie too~" Mina hummed, a sly smile on her face as she eyed the two in front of her.

Aoyama let out a snobbish 'hmph', some of the less outspoken students mirroring his general silence. Others were cheerful like Kirishima, who pumped his fist up in excitement. Izuku opted to simply smile and wave at them, wanting them to feel welcome.

Mineta and Bakugou had foul looks on their faces, and you could practically sense the animosity radiating from the two boys. Bakugou raised his hand, an irritated look on his face.

"Sensei, why are we letting two people who haven't taken the exam transfer in? That doesn't seem really fair," came the growl emanating from the blonde student. The class fell quiet and the twins tensed up. Haku clenched his fists tightly while Haru looked down, lifting her other hand to hug herself. That same dark look akin to caged animals was in their eyes again.

"Kacchan! That's not nice!" Izuku piped up, only to immediately flinch when the smoldering glare was directed at him instead, slowly sinking back down into his seat. Aizawa rolled his eyes and let out a sigh.

"Listen up Bakugou, and this goes for the rest of you too," his voice was firm, and it made all eyes focus on him. "In the field, you are going to encounter heroes of all kinds and you are going to have to learn to cooperate with them. Whether you hold a high opinion of them doesn't matter. You're working for the same thing and I expect you all to treat each other with the respect befitting of heroes and heroes in training. Am I clear?"

"Yes, Sensei!"

Bakugou still looked a little bitter about everything, scoffing quietly and looking away. The teacher shook his head before he gestured for the twins to take a seat. They slipped into the very back seats, taking out their things and faced forward.

"Now, the Sports Festival is an opportunity to get scouted by hero agencies for your internships, which you are going to use to gain experience in the field," he explained, writing the results of the hero drafts, Todoroki easily taking the top spot out of the rest.

"I guess Bakugou's attitude turned people away despite him placing first," Kaminari commented, earning a glare from the blonde, raising his hands in defense.

"Haru and Haku, due to the fact that you both transferred in later and couldn't participate in the Sports Festival, you both are going to be taking your internships with me so that I can bring you up to speed in your classes and training. I expect you both to be ready," he directed his attention to the twins, who nodded in response.

"Tch, how come they get special treatment?" Mineta grumbled under his breath.

"Have fun playing catch up, losers," Bakugou sneered, earning two cold, hard glares from the twins, their blue hues almost glacial.

"Haru, Haku, do your best ok?" Toru tried to cheer the two up, the other girls giving encouraging nods in unison.

"Maybe those two are like Todoroki…" Sero mumbled under his breath.

"Haru seems a little too closed off, don't you think?"

The twin in question gripped her skirt under her desk tightly, forcing her face to remain neutral as she looked down and hid behind her hair. Izuku's heart went out to her, able to empathize with their situation. It reminded him of his time in middle school.

"Guys, I'm sure they worked just as hard as the rest of us to get in here, so let's be nice!" Izuku exclaimed, a few students muttering quietly while others turned away with guilty expressions on their faces. He caught Haku's gaze, smiling when he was given a silent, but grateful look shot his way.

"Enough chatter, let's move on. We're gonna have you all choose your hero names with Midnight having the final say over it, " Aizawa cut in. "Haru, Haku, your hero costumes should be ready right about now, so go ahead and pick them up. Go down the hall till you get to the stairs and go down a level. Then take a right. The support course will be right there."

The two got up quietly, walking over to the door and exiting together.

Izuku caught a glimpse of Haru's body shaking and saw her bury her face into her brother's chest, Haku's arms coming to hug her, his body also shaking before the door shut completely.

Whispers began filling the air as the other students began gossiping amongst themselves while they figured out their hero names.

"They kinda look rough around the edges, don't you think?"

"They probably thought they were better than us with how quiet they were."

"Did you see how dead Haru's eyes looked?"

"Haku looks kinda scary don't you think?"

The whispers were almost suffocating, a heavy feeling hanging in the air. It was almost as if they were in a haunted house, and the whispers were that of ghosts with sinister intent.

He shut the whispers out, clenching the marker in his hand tightly, feeling his heart sink into his stomach. He couldn't understand why everybody was being so awful towards them. He shook his head, he had to focus on picking his hero name. He went through all the names he had considered when he was younger, mentally removing the ones that were too close to 'All Might' as the minutes ticked by.

His mind kept drifting to that hollow look the twins both had, especially Harumi. He had never seen someone look so…haunted before. What on earth happened to her to cause such an expression, such fear in her eyes? He was jolted out of his thoughts when he heard Aoyama present his name, mentally berating himself for being so distracted. He racked his brains for a good name, biting the inside of his cheek in frustration.

'I mean, Deku gives off the feeling of 'I can do it!', don't you think?' —

He smiled to himself at the memory, thinking only for a moment before he scribbled his hero name across the little white board. When it was his turn, he stepped forward and showed the class, seeing Uraraka's eyes grow wide in response. He gave her a grin, silently grateful for the new perspective on what was once a childhood insult.

He slid back into his seat as the twins opened the door, carrying the cases with their hero costumes inside. Midnight passed them two white boards and instructed them to write down their hero names on it when they were ready. The two of them looked at each other for a moment, and he wondered if they were having a quiet conversation without words that they could only understand.

They uncapped the markers and began writing on the boards, capping them after a minute and turning the boards to face Midnight and the class.

'Eclipse; Duskfall,' were the words written on Haku's board while 'Eclipse; Moonrise' was scrawled across his sister's board. Midnight smiled, giving her approval of the names before the siblings went back to their seats and set their cases down. Neither of them bothered to explain their reasoning for their chosen names, and the green haired boy couldn't find any fault with that, the low snickers and giggles seeming way louder than they really were.

Soon, lunch time rolled around, the students getting up from their seats to head down to the cafeteria. Haku rose from his desk and walked over to his sister, muttering something in a low voice that couldn't be made out before Bakugou suddenly stood before them.

"So what is your guys' story huh?" he asked, hands in his pockets, disdain all over his face.

"None of your business," Haku responded coldly, turning to his sister before he was grabbed by the collar and was forced to face the explosive blonde. Everybody in the class stopped what they were doing and watched, like vultures circling an animal on its last legs.

"What, are you too good for us to give us an answer? Did you buy your way into the hero course with mommy and daddy's help?" The blonde demanded, gripping the fabric tighter. A few students had guilty looks on their faces, but no one moved to intercept.

"You have about five seconds to let go of me before I punch your fucking lights out, Bakugou," Haku's voice cracked from barely restrained emotion.

"What are you gonna do? Run to your mommy and cry?" he taunted. Haru suddenly slammed her fist on the desk and stood up, her deep blue eyes now brightly ablaze with unspoken fury.

"I don't know what fucking stick you have up your ass but you had better stop. You wanna know so fucking bad?" she hissed, roughly pulling his hand off her brother, venom practically dripping from her voice.

"We're orphans, you asshole. We have no parents. The orphanage we lived in before got burned down in a villain attack." She let go of his hand roughly, Haku and her giving scathing glares to everyone in the room, seeing them flinch.

"I hope you're fucking happy, dipshit," Haku growled before shoving the blonde aside and took his sister's hand, the both of them storming out of the classroom.

Nobody said a word.
