Hypnotic- Chapter 2
(Tw: Panic attack, dissociation, child abuse)
Renet was bored,
She, a cosmic being of the universe, was bored.
Just a while ago the krangtionions's told her to watch over earth while they do some "important business" in dimension X.
Renet hated being worked all the time, even while floating around the milky way she grew tired of always working. Her position was to check on the quasars, reporting if any of them expired and evaporated.( even though quasars lasted for millennia, those eventually died out).
It was lonely with no one to talk to…the girl was alone…she-no Renet wouldn't think of THAT right now…it wasn't important anyway.
She was practically a celestial, she shouldn't be longing for companionship of any sort.
'I was born to obey my creators and that's it…stop considering-WANTING more',
Renet slapped her forehead.
The celestial sighed, bringing herself up from her resting place, she rolled over off the bed of her room. (her room was a small pocket reality, it contained walls and possessions she required to do her job)
She gently stepped on the cold floor that sent chills through her body, Renet walked to the wardrobe and opened it. There was a 20 inch mirror hanging from the inside of the dark space, Renett focused her eyes in the reflection and at her features.
The celestial looked human, almost, she had long thick blonde hair that made its way down to her feet. Her pale skin was as white as moon dust and her eyes had no pupils. While Renet always questioned why her physical form looked terran. The krangtonion's never bothered to give a specific answer, just saying she looked "beautiful" this way.
Renet brushed her fingers through her hair while leaning on the dresser and frowned, the entity didn't think she was beautiful. While she was forbidden to interact with any organic life form, that didn't stop Renet from comparing her looks to theirs….
She shook her head and scoffed, ' I have better things to do…'., grabbing her turquoise colored clothes and accessories, she started to equip herself. When Renet had her clothes on she went to the door of her room.
She stood in a petite position with her legs and held out her right arm, her hand spread out, she casted a magic circle. The circle spiralized at hyper speed, Renet grinned.
'Time to see Earth'
He was running
The hallways wailed in deafening security sirens
The hallaways bright white and optical illusion blurred his eyesight….
He was running
His stubby green feet thumping loudly on the marble floor, the strange language he heard being yelled in the hallways of this strange place. He grew up here.
He was running…
He could feel his breath hitching and his body shaking from anxiety. Where should he go? What were the directions? Why were the walls flashing with light? Why was he dripping wet with the purple stuff? He craved knowledge.
He was running….
His last memory was waking up on the cold floor from his sleeping quarters, he and his siblings were put to sleep there every evening. These strange human-like creatures in white coats say they created them for a purpose.
He was slowing down….
It was in his nature to ask questions, to learn and develop. So he asked questions, but when he did…the "white coats" punished him for being too "noisy". So he kept quiet…
He was whimpering….
Over the years, he learned that his name was "Earth", at least, that's what the "White coats" Labeled him. He found out his siblings' had names as well.. "Water", "Fire", and "Sun". He loved them with all his heart. They were green like him! And with shells…with strange markings. He loved how they had strange abilities like him. He could grow plants! And they could manipulate fire, water, and light!
He was shaking…
Where were they? Did his turtle companions abandon him? Did they escape this awful place with their powers? Honestly, he wasn't that surprised, the "white coats" always considered him "weak" due to his weakened figure. He was always the most useless….
Earth broke down to his knees, he crumbled while wrapping his arms around his head. He wanted to hide in his shell.. He wanted to shut out all the blinding lights and sirens….he wanted to find his brothers…he wanted to disappear….
He was sobbing on the floor…his shell glowed a bright purple…
I heard a scream…
Earth gasped, his head snapped up in fear, his instincts telling him to run away from the echo…but it sounded familiar…
GASP
SUN! It was SUN'S scream! Earth got off his butt and ran towards the sound of his brother. His turtle friend was in danger! He needed to save him! Earth ran as fast as he could to his brother's wails. He eventually turned a corner and found sun being pinned down by one of those "white coats" just two meters away. Sun was biting, kicking, and wailing, but it was no use..
He was shaking again…
What should he do? He knows he can't leave Sun…but he was useless. His brain was going haywire, he was dissociating, he couldn't tell what was going on anymore. Was this real? Everything seemed almost dreamlike, the sirens, the bright lights that flashed from the ceiling, the fact his brother was being attacked and he couldn't do anything about it-
The white coat pulled out a hypodermic needle,
Something in Earth SNAPPED
He threw himself at the back of the white coat, and started to bite at its neck. The White coat screeched in an unnatural way, trying to get Earth off.
Sun's voice could be heard but Earth couldn't determine it, the white coat eventually threw Earth on the ground by grabbing his foot.
CRACK
Earth screamed, he didn't know what was going on but he knew he might… The white coat brought his foot over the turtle's head.
"N-No…pwease…." the child weakly muttered…
Then out of the blue, the white coat exploded.
Earth seen the orange light that evaporated the white coat
Nothing was left….
Nothing w-was…
He was waking up….
…
…
Donnie snapped awake, his body shaking violently, even though his nerves were bulging out of his skin he tried to regulate his body.
The turtle felt his nausea increase and his stomach clench-
He got up and ran to the bathroom and threw up. When he was done vomiting, Donnie went to the sink and splashed water on his face. Rinsing the puke off his mouth and sweat off his face. He focused in the mirror and at his eyes, which were glowing a vibrant lavender…
' Gosh darn it…not again, j-just calm down Donatello…just breath…just breath'
Donnie inhaled and exhaled, slowly his body stopped shaking. He placed his hand in his head and groaned, his eyes stopped glowing and returned to their natural color, Russet.
'That was the second nightmare this month, It really needs to stop or my alchemy might-'
The teen didn't want to think of the possibilities, so he decided to forget about it for now. Donnie needed to clear his mind. He thought the best option might be to take a bath. Then he could think more clearly. The turtle grabbed the towel hanging from the door, he laid it on the marble looking counter of the bathroom. Donnie gently took off his pants and dropped them on the ground.
His Shell ached with soreness for some reason…
' Hrmm, muscle pain maybe? Or it's my shell…I'll analyze it later…'
Donnie turned on the faucet of the bespoke bathtub(the bathtub was big enough to fit three people at least, being 7 feet wide and 2 feet deep), slowly stepping inside, shivering at the cold temperature.
laying in the tub and letting his mind drift…
' What to do now…?'
' I could go to my lab and work on my Helianthus shrubs, make sure they're growing properly.'
' Wonder what the others are doing right now?'
Donnie shifted his body to his side and layed there, the water seemed to warm up a bit. This wasn't the first time these nightmares caused him to puke. The memories from the past seemed to visit Donnie from time to time. Causing some type of sickness and fear he didn't like to be reminded of…
'Back when they hurt me…back then I couldn't defend myself'
He could now. Donnie, the Earth element turtle, could defend himself now. Thanks to the training he got from Splinter, he could fight back.
Splinter
The name rang through the teenager's brain.
Splinter, his adopted father, took them in after they escaped from dimension X. Their father has always been kind and understanding, or he tried to understand. Donnie was pretty sure Splinter didn't believe them at first about the experiments, but the Alchemist could tell that they were damaged mentally. Splinter taught them over the years that their magic was powered by their emotions and how also to handle them properly.
But that didn't stop the turtles from having panic attacks.
'Mikey's probably making breakfast right now, I should go eat.'
The turtle slowly started to get out of the tub, dripping wet on the concrete floor. His shell seemed to stop aching, stretching and nerves calmed.
Donnie went back to his room, looking in his closet for new pants. He grabbed a pair and put them on. Donnie sat down on his bed and slowly started putting on his gloves. The gloves were important, to help protect his hands from chemicals in his lab. Don has always been self-conscious about not wearing them because the last time he didn't, his hand almost melted off.
Don shivered at the memory.
Just as he was about to put the other glove on his left arm-
BOOMM!
The walls around Donnie shook and dirt was shaking off the ceiling. Don's eyes widened and he jumped off his bed ready for combat. When the rumbling stopped and just as donnie opened the door-
"MIKEY!"
"IM SORRY IM SORRY IM SORRY!"
" Michelangelo, if your idiocy destroyed my kitchen again I will grab my belt-"
"It was an accident, I SWEAR!"
"Accident? You thought it would be a good idea to add Rhinestone berries to the oatmeal!"
" It thought they were blueberries-
"They're pink!"
-with a strange color complexity."
A number of groans could be heard from all over the lair, one coming from Donnie."
" Do you ever think before you do you stupid frog-
"Frog? At least I don't look like a green bean with a FACE!"" That's it! YOUR DEAD MIKEY, I'm gonna pound you!"
More blasts could be heard from the kitchen and glass could be heard exploding.
"EEEEEEEKKKKKK!"
"GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE YOU DUMMY""SPLINTER RALPH'S TRYING TO KILL ME!"" He STARTED IT!"….Maybe Donnie was going to stay in his room for awhile..y'know? For reasons…
Renet was currently traveling through different dimensions, trying to find the right planet. Earth wasn't that far away. Traveling through different reality's meant going through the eternal inflation portals( basically portals that lead to different parts of the universe) they come in handy for the celestial. Making traveling easier…
Finally she made it to earth's location, she managed to teleport to earth's moon. Landing perfectly on the dust ground, her heels dug into the dirt with ease. Exhaling, looking around her surroundings, she could spot the backwater planet hundreds of miles away.
"I have to admit, the earth is beautiful from this distance.", Renet sat by a nearby boulder, crossing her legs as she awed at the planet. Staring at its fine blue and green hue, she noticed that the krang had modified the planet as well. The night glow was purple and sparkled like glitter…Renet remembered hundreds of years ago it now being that color. It's possible that the planet had magic energy coursing around its atmosphere right now.
It was truly magnificent.
"Too bad it needs to be destroyed one day" she murmured…
It was a shame, but eventually all planets the krangtonions modify die out. It was the way of the universe, every alien race that died was just another sacrifice to balance out the cosmos.
If an organic race dies out, it creates suffering.
More suffering: another Quasar to power the universe.
Entropy vs. Negentropy
Both so different but with the same consequences
Renet always found emotions unfamiliar to her.
Yes, she had them herself, but they probably weren't strong enough to create energy. After all, she was a celestial, what celestial feels emotion?
Especially towards a backwater planet right in front of her?
Renet shook her head out of her thoughts
'Getting distracted will only earn you disapproval from the krang…do you want to be useless?'
The celestial sighed, and did as she was told, watching the planet.
