"No, you don't!" he shouted. I could feel anger rising in me; I could hear myself begin to growl—finally, I just couldn't take it anymore. I roared
"Don't you yell at him, especially about his; common sense" Darry looked shocked. I looked from him to Pony, as I add; dreamily. "Besides, I think he has great common sense..." everyone began to stare.
"Thanks, Sydney" I heard Ponyboy say.
"No prob," I said, then whispered, in Pony's ear. "And; between you and me, I would've liked you whether you had common sense or not" "I have common sense, I just...forget to use it, sometimes" he paused, then continued. "...and, wait! You like me...?"
"Um...yeah"
"Like, like-like me; as in love"
"Um...yeah, yes! Yes, I do!" I said, with a mixture of nervousness & pride in my voice.
"Well, this is..." he paused, thinking this over. "Awkward..."
"What, What, what makes it awkward?"
"It's awkward, because..." he paused; just then, I could hear his voice go all high and squeaky: as he said. "I may have a small crush on..."
"On who?!" I demanded.
"On, on" he stammered, without showing any signs of making eye contact...with me.
"On who?" I repeated; In that same demanding voice.
"It's a secret" Pony whispered. "Here, I'll whisper it to you"
"I don't need to hear it, I already know"
"All right, smarty pants; guess then"
"On Cherry Valance, I presume"
"Nope, actually I'm torn between her and..."
"I knew it!" I said. "You are in love with her..." just then, I could feel myself get hot. I got Kashan out of his stall.
"Sydney, what are who doing?"
"I don't know: but, I know one thing... but I'm not staying here" I paused, trying to think of what to say...only using the harshest words I could think of. "You two-timing girlfriend hating buffoon" I roared. As I loaded my western tack on Kashan's back, fastened my helmet in place, and hopped on.
"Sydney, don't!" Pony said.
"It's too late, my decision's been made...and, it's final"
"Sydney, please...you're making a BIG mistake!"
"I'm making a mistake, how about you: and what you said?"
"Ok, I'm sorry...better now?"
"No!" I roared. "It's not, and I'll never be!"
"What's your problem, Sydney?"
"Nothing, there's no problem: everything's hunky-dory!" I sarcastically spat at him.
"Then, what is it? Why are you so mad?"
"Why don't you ask yourself, that? Kelp-fur-brains: pretty boy!" I roared, as I charged at him. I charged at him so suddenly, that: he jumped back in fear.
"Whoa, why is she so mad at you, Pony?" Johnny asked.
"I...I... don't know" he stammered, nervously. "I don't know, Johnny. I honestly don't know"
"I think I know," Darry said, with a sigh.
"What? What? What is it?"
"She's mad because..." Darry began.
"Because...because what?" Pony demanded, a questioning look in his eye.
"She thinks you're in love with another girl," he said.
"Oh, no!" Pony blurted out, in panic. "We need to find her!" Ponyboy took charge. "Two-bit, Darry, Soda, Johnny! Come on...We need to find Sydney: and fast!" he ran and ran, with the rest of the greaser gang following behind.
