Meanwhile, I rode and rode: until I came to...an abandoned building/house? I looked around for a cliff edge or something to sit down on and just think. Finally, I found one. I slowly slid off Kashan, and I took Kashan reins in my hand as I walked Kashan and myself over to the cliff, I plopped down on the edge, watched the sunset, and thought.

"Kashan" I finally said. Kashan looked up from some tasty grass that he was eating, his ears prick foreword: once he heard his name. "Have you ever thought about something really hard and then when it happens it doesn't quite happen to go the way you expected" he walked over to me, nuzzled me with his muzzle, then whinnied softly. Reassuringly, As if he knew & understood my pain, feelings, and everything that I was staying; Just then, I could hear footsteps; I quickly hide in a crack/hole in the lot.

"Are you sure she's here, Pony?" the familiar voice of Darry said.

"Yes!" he said, with great pride. "I saw her heading this way" "Sydney! Come out, come out. Wherever you are," a familiar voice said, maybe Ponyboy's. He stopped, scanning the sense. Walked a few pieces; then, summoned the rest of them to follow.

"Hey, guys! I think I've found something you outta see" they followed him around to the side of the house, where they found a tiny crack/hole in the lot. "I think she's in here" he whispered.

"What should we do?" Dally, Two-bit, Johnny, Darry, and soda; all whispered back.

"Oh, I got an idea. Follow my lead, on this one guys". He said this last sentence still in a whisper, then he slowly raises his voice saying. "Oh! Brother, this is surely a catastrophe! Isn't it guys?"

"Oh, yeah" Johnny blurted out.

"We looked everywhere; Pony, and still can't find your friend, Sydney," Darry said, he put his arm on Pony's shoulder and said. "I'm sorry...we really tried"

"It's okay, though; I never got a chance to tell her..." his words trailed off.

"Tell her what Pone?" Soda and Darry spoke up.

"Uh... nothing, never mind—it ain't important," he said hastily then continued his long-winded speech.

"All we have to remember her by is her lovable, caring, and comforting horse, Kashan!" he held his head sadly, "Guess we have no choice but to keep him and take him back to our stables..." he paused, then continued. "Never to be ridden, again."

"Such a shame, she loved that horse," Soda said, hanging his head sadly.

"I know Soda. But, what's the point we can't find her anywhere." We could just leave him out here, but...it just wouldn't be right. Guess there nothing else to do except..." pony gulped. "Put him down"

"Oh, no! Not that, anything but that!" I thought, in a panic. I couldn't contain myself any longer. "Don't put him down!" I blurted out, as I came out of hiding.

"Ah, there's my little dreamboat," he said, as he reached out his arms to give me a big hug.

"Ah" I could hear the gang behind him say.

"Ah, guys; cut it out"

"It's okay," I said, as I push him away hurriedly.

"Ah, Sydney; if you're mad about what I said, I'm sorry"

"You broke my heart and now you think you can just apologize and everything will be O.K!" I shouted, at him.

"Um, yes," he said in a high squeaky voice.

"Well, you thought wrong!" I yell at him, as I crossed my arms; and walked away. I sat down in the grass on the edge of the lot.
