Hiccup felt more distressed than he had ever felt while watching them taking Bing Bong away. He now felt useless and hopeless again.

Astrid had though managed to snap him out of it, and at that moment of truth he knew he couldn't abandon Bing Bong to a horrible fate; he had to rescue his friend.

He gathered the other trainees in the arena, where they would train the dragons this time instead of killing. The group looked nervous.

"If you're planning on getting eaten, I'd definitely go with the Gronckle," Fishlegs suggested sarcastically. Hiccup ignored him.

Freya watched from her cage, seeing the human teens talking back and forth discussing things she didn't care about. She smirked a little when the girl twin she loved to roast seductively smiled at Hiccup before the blonde saved him.

"So? What is the plan?" The blonde asked. Hiccup grinned at her.

"We ride the dragons to rescue Toothless and my Dad, of course."

Freya was astounded, not believing her ears. No way! No way would she let one of those flesh bags sit on her beautiful scales. She squawked nervously, backing away, thinking the runt kid would open hers, but it opened Fang's cage instead.

Fang was the hotheaded Monstrous Nightmare who had been the one leading the raid on Berk that time ago. He had been taken down by a net after trying to escape the Chief. Freya herself was quite glad that this stuck up dragon was subjected to these humans, to teach him humility.

She watched as Hiccup brought him out. Fang growled at one stocky boy before him, Snotlout. Snotlout picked up a piece of a spear, but Astrid shook her head no.

After a time, the boy was able to bond with Fang, calling him Hookfang which seemed like a strange coincidence. Then Freya saw her cage open, flinching from the light but then found herself standing with the other dragons, minus the Terror that flew away.

Astrid came up to Freya, a smile on her face different from the last time the Nadder saw her. The blonde moved to Freya's blind spot. Freya smelled her then felt gentle scratching in her soft spot.

Ooh, that feels good… Freya thought, chittering pleasantly, leaning into Astrid's touch, feeling something that softened her hard heart.

"Stormfly… that's your name, girl…" Astrid murmured. Freya smiled to herself at that new name.

After a while everybody chose their dragons, and Hiccup rode with Astrid to save Bing Bong and the others.

….

Bing Bong had cried himself to sleep since they had casted off, until a familiar hypnotic song woke him. He trembled, vision blurry, as he smelt the Dragon Nest, head tilted in a direction.

Stoick grinned; guiding the ships in each direction that the devil pointed them too.

The Imaginary Friend couldn't rid himself of the music, shaking his head, wincing from the power it held over his brain, seeing the nest coming into view. The ship docked the blackened sandy shore.

Stoick and the rest lined up their weapons to crack the mountain open. Bing Bing shivered as he realized this might be the Viking's final battle. His ears closed at the sound of the rock banging against the wall, opening a giant hole.

Stoick had a flaming Boulder shot into the hole, seeing thousands of dragons roosting. He let loose a huge battle roar; charging right in. The entire dragon army flew out in a panic, and Bing Bong could hear their warning calls.

"She's coming!"

"Run! The Queen will kill you all!"

He quivered from this, not wanting to see the Queen anytime again soon, hoping for any kind of rescue.

With Stoick, he was the only one not cheering, sensing something wasn't right. He narrowed his eyes when noticing the Fury struggling in its bonds. "THIS ISN'T OVER! FORM YOUR RANKS AND HOLD TOGETHER!" He commanded, just as rumbling could be felt in the earth, and the stone cracked. A huge bellowing roar right from hell itself came from beneath the cave, as a huge mass of something emerged.

Bing Bong couldn't describe at how terrified he was at seeing this spawn of hell come. He pushed back in his prison, crying wretchedly at being helpless, scared of being barbecued or eaten alive by this monster dragon. Her eyes towered over her many victims. She bared her steak like teeth, roaring which rang in the Imaginary Friend's brain, making him faint and sick, nearly passing out.

Catapults barely made a dent in her scales, as she crushed them to rubble like they were nothing.

"Get to the ships!" Screamed one soul, but Stoick shouted no in panic before the Queen opened her maw, and shot out terrible plumes of hot flames that covered all the boats. The flames nearly seared off Bing Bong's tender scales. He sobbed in fright as the flames encircled him, heart thumping in his throat. His body was shaking like a leaf from trauma, eyes wide and round, scared at the idea of dying this way, having just enough vision to see Stoick and another one trying to distract the Queen while trying his best to keep the flames from touching him, wincing in pain.

But then a familiar voice rang in the air. "Toothless! I'm here!" Bing Bong gasped softly in disbelief, thinking it was the heat making him hear things. But it wasn't a dream; Hiccup was here, riding on Freya with Astrid! The other kids and their dragons were there, too, trying to take out the Queen.

Freya stared in horror at what the humans had done to the Fury. She knew he didn't deserved this treatment despite being a clumsy one. Hiccup jumped down to the boat to release his bonds while ordering Astrid to go. Freya had no complaints here; the fire was too hot even for her.

Bing Bong watched Hiccup struggling to break his bonds and doing the best he can to help.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Bing Bong. I promise you won't get hurt like this again!" Sobbed Hiccup when giving the Imaginary Friend a hug.

"It isn't your fault. But I'm glad you're here," he said in a shaky scared tone, nuzzling him gently, as Hiccup continued. But then the tail of the Queen swept over them, knocking down a burning mast that nearly crushed Hiccup. The ship then suddenly started sinking, bringing the two friends with it.

Bing Bong already felt his lungs screaming for air, still hearing the Queen's control on him, as Hiccup continued trying to break him free. Unfortunately time was running out for Hiccup's air. He grew dizzy, and fainted, bubbles coming from his mouth. Bing Bong gave a muffled yell as a hand grabbed Hiccup, pulling him ashore, leaving him underwater.

If he wasn't in water, Bing Bong would be feeling tears as he got himself ready to die, his vision going on him, his own oxygen now running out.

The one that had grabbed Hiccup had now returned, snapping Bing Bong from dying, and the two gazed at each other, slowly coming to a mutual understanding. Bing Bong gave a small glare at Stoick before Stoick broke his shackle and other bonds. Growling, breaking free from the Queen's control, the Imaginary Friend turned Dragon grabbed him, flying up out of the water and setting the large human on dry land, and he also shook himself dry, too.

Bing Bong turned, calling to Hiccup in Dragonese for them to get going and stop the tyrannical Queen for good.

Hiccup jumped onto his back, and Bing Bong allowed father and son to have their reunion, but hoped they'd be quick.

"I- I'm proud to call you my son!" Stoick said in a soft proud voice. Hiccup smiled. "Thanks… dad," he murmured. Bing Bong gave out an impatient growl, and Hiccup understood, guiding his friend once more into the air to join the battle.

Astrid and Stormfly spotted them. Stormfly squawked in joy at seeing the Fury airborne again. "They're up!" Astrid cheered, flying towards the Twins. Fishlegs was down, and Snotlout was currently stuck on the Queen's head.

"Get Snotlout out of there!" She commanded. The Twins fought over who would rescue him, while their dragon Barf and Belch hissed in irritation from their arguing, taking over the rescue themselves. Snotlout saw his opening and took it; running up the head, and jumped in between the heads. He couldn't believe it worked!

Astrid and Stormfly tried to fly out of there but the Queen growled, opening her maw and inhaling air, and her two soon to be victims! Stormfly squawked in fear, not wanting to die this way, eaten by the devil dragon! She shuts her eyes when they got closer, until a huge banshee screech rang out; and a huge blue explosion rammed against the Queen, knocking Stormfly and her Rider down too.

Stormfly felt herself falling and falling until a pair of talons grabbed her; it was Hookfang! He got over being stunned by his Rider's foolish action, and was able to save the young Nadder while Bing Bong grabbed Astrid.

Hookfang put her down gently. She ended up smiling in thanks at her savior. He huffed a bit but his eyes looked different the last time she saw him. It must've been his Rider.

Bing Bong set Astrid down to saftey. She wished them luck as the duo soared back into the air.

Hiccup studied the Red Death's wings. "It has wings!"

"Uh, Hic, it's a she…" Bing Bong mumbled, wondering why he was correcting him on her gender status.

"Okay… let's see if she can use her wings!" Hiccup decided. Bing Bong then saw his plan: they can try to wear out the Queen and somehow take her out by her weak spot. He grinned, the duo turning about, and divebombed.

Bing Bong opened his mouth, a plasma blast boiling up, and he shot a direct hit at the Queen's shoulder; knocking her down.

That angered her for sure! The Queen's wings opened up; revealing the biggest wing span anybody could ever see, and by some miraculous act of Nature she was able to go airborn!

Bing Bong gulped when he saw this and knew now she wanted to kill them more than ever. But Hiccup just grinned. "Well… she can fly!" The Imaginary Friend just rolled his eyes and the two took off through the rock stacks, the Queen just behind them.

They dodged falling rocks; flying as fast as they could. The Queen screeched curses at the two friends, the Viking crowd cheering for them.

Bing Bong panted, his wings aching from flying for so long. But Hiccup had received another idea.

"Okay, Bing Bong, time to disappear." He said. Bing Bong knew what Hiccup had in mind, smiling back at him, and allowed Hiccup to guide him into the dark clouds with the Queen right behind.

The Queen had lost sight of her enemies when she flew into the clouds, glaring all around her.

"FURY! YOU BETRAY THE DRAGON RACE BY BEING WITH HUMANS! GIVE ME THE BOY!"

Bing Bong roared in reply, flying out of the clouds. "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" He screeched, shooting a plasma blast at her. He did it several more times; causing the Queen to bellow in agony, trying to find her attacker.

"YOU AND YOUR RIDER WILL DIE!" Screamed the Queen, shooting out streams of flames everywhere. Bing Bong yelped as he nearly got hit. "Watch out!" Hiccup shouted. Bing Bong then flinched at a small pain in his tail, getting flashbacks of when he lost his tail. His prosthetic tail was now in flames.

"Oh, just great!" Bing Bong mumbled, rolling his eyes, but deep down he feared for himself and his friend. He wondered though how Joy and the others would react at seeing him; a former goofy loveable Inaginary Friend turned into a cold blooded dragon like this. He couldn't help but chuckle at seeing Fear fainting. He always did that.

"Ok, times up! Let's see if this works. Bing Bong, do you remember what you did to that Terror?" He asked. A little memory emerged, on how the Terror reacted to being shot into its mouth, and Hiccup's words: Not so fireproof on the inside. He grinned.

"Yeah, I do. Let's do it!" He cheered. The friends turned around. "Come on! Is that the best you can do?!" Hiccup shouted, taunting her.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE ALMIGHTY QUEEN!" Bing Bong himself taunted in Dragonese. That ticked her off in no time; trying to snap at them. They avoided her teeth easily, diving towards the ground.

Bing Bong trembled while in mid flight. He couldn't see his tail but knew it was close to being burned away. Sweat came down at this. "Stay with me, Bud! We're good! Just a little bit longer!"

"I just hope we know what we're doing!" Bing Bong screamed, voice rising to panic mode, seeing the ground getting closer. The Queen narrowed all six of her eyes, starting to open her mouth.

"Hold, Bing Bong…" Hiccup whispered, shutting his eyes tight before opening them again. "NOW!"

Bing Bong turned around, target in sight. "EAT PLASMA AND BURN IN HELL, BASTARD!" He screamed his final words to her; shooting his blast right into her mouth. Her eyes rounded as hot pain shot through her organs.

"AAAAHHH! NOOOO!" She screamed, flailing through the air, holes ripping in her wings, Hiccup and Bing Bong just managing to scram out of her way, the other Vikings watching the Red Death explode in a fiery inferno on impact with the earth.

Bing Bong flew as fast as he could through the terrible flames and dodging her spikes, wanting out of there so badly! But then the old tail came flying off, never to be seen again!

He could already feel himself losing altitude just as they neared saftey. His panic threatened to take him over as the Queen's tail came closer. "No! NO!" Bing Bong heard Hiccup scream before a harsh pain struck him in his side from the tail's impact.

Hot dizziness flooded in his body as the flames billowed all around them in their fall. Shaking his head, Bing Bong saw Hiccup fall down to the center. He screamed in fear. No! No way will he lose Hiccup like when he lost Riley! He wasn't ready to give him up yet!

Twisting himself about, he flew down and grasped Hiccup in his paws. Then he allowed himself to fall, the ground getting closer, and world turning dark. He wouldn't let Hiccup die even if it meant him dying a second time…
