After the movie, I turned to face Emily again. "So, you smoke?"

"Yes, I guess you can say I take after my brother"

"Ok, who's your brother?" I asked, but before she had time to answer Ponyboy came over and asked "So, what'd you think of the movie?"

"It was alright... not really into those beach movies though" he smiled.

"Me either" he held out his hand, "Ya ready to go?"

"Sure" I shrugged, I stood up- so did the gang and that girl.

We started heading back, ducking back under the fence... I guess Johnny decided to walk back because he help me untie the lead rope from around a tree and handed it off to me. I lead him down the side walk that the gang was using to walk back home on, when all of a sudden... a sound of something that sounded an awful lot like a car horn blared up, the car stopped near us.

"Ugh, is that a blue mustang?" I thought,

"Be cool guys" I heard Pony say.

I tried to look over and around the gang as to who they were talking about. Just then I heard four car doors slam.

"Why look Randy"

"Yeah, what is it Bob?"

"I smell somethin' like a newbie in our bunch of greasers" they pushed Pony, Dally and the rest aside, until I was left clearly standing. They crept closer and closer to me- I gripped Kashan's lead rope tightly.

"Oh, look Bob- fresh meat" they snarled and sneered like dogs. "Oh, and look she has a little friend" he snatched the lead rope out of my hand, though it down- and pushed me down. As I stood back up and tried to run and grab it again, they pushed me down once more. Bob ordered Randy to kick me as Bob shouted.

"Stay down!"

"But, I- my- my- my ... h- horse" i stammered, pointing with a shaky finger.

"Your horse? Oh please... " he rolled his eyes. "Only rich Socs like us can afford a horse- not greasy scum like you" I could feel my blood beginning to boil.

"Look you stupid Socs don't make fun of my horse love!" I snapped.

"Or what" they approached me once more, a hint of tobacco mixed with liqueur entered my nostrils I instantly felt sick to my stomach.

"Oh, you look flushed" one of the other Socs said, "We should do something"

"Can it Cherry!" Bob shouted, "Unless... you're turning into a goody-goody greaser like those other white trash"

"White trash? Umm... well- I wouldn't go that far"

"Then gag her" he ordered.

"You two stay away from my girl!" Pony hissed,

"Well, I- I..." she looked up at him from her half-kneel position.

"Cherry" Randy huffed,

"I'm sorry" she sighed, "I-I don't have a chose" she stated, turning back to me. Bob gave her a white rag and she stuffed it in my mouth, then he gave her a red one that she tied around my mouth. "I'm sorry" she whispered in my ear before standing and following the others into the car.

They drove away, as I lay on the cold, hard concrete... feeling alone, complacently alone and helpless, I longed for my mother- to be back in my own time. I closed my eyes to stop them from tearing up, also trying to breath through my nose for as long as I could, my arms and legs flailing loosely- I felt like a fish out of water.

All of a sudden Dallas and that girl Emily came over.

"Is she what you where trying to tell me sis?"

"Yes" she stated, bending down to untie me.

"Thanks" I replied, once I found my breath. I hadn't noticed that they got my hands tied up too until I rubbed my wrists.

"Don't mention it" I heard her say, holding out a hand to me.

I accepted it gratefully.

"Oooo, my sis Emi has a soft side"

"Shut Up" she snorted,

"Oh, you're Dally's brother?"

"Yup" she stated, lighting up.

"So, we're friends now or not"

"Why on earth would I want to be friends with you- you're just some goody-goody greaser"

"Yeah, so...?" I scoffed, crossing my arms.

"So, you're just some lame goody-goody- and I have a reputation to uphold as a strict, fun-loving, law breaking full-fledged badass hood".
