"How did you know?" Beth asked Elisa quietly after the ceremony was over.

Travis had insisted that they all go out for breakfast…or would it be Brunch?... complete with Mimosas to celebrate.

The boys had just walked away from the table to do…whatever it was that guys did after a wedding, giving the girls time to talk.

"Know what?" Elisa asked in the same low tone, taking a sip of her drink.

"That I'm pregnant," Beth said.

Elisa tried to stop it, but she darn near had a Hollywood spit-take all over the fancy white tablecloth of the restaurant. She forced herself to swallow, causing her to cough harshly as the bubbly champagne and juice cocktail made its way down her throat.

"I'm sorry," She said, taking a few deep breaths before narrowing her eyes at Beth. "Would you like to run that by me again?"

"Wait," Beth said slowly, "So, you didn't know? But before the judge called us in, you said…"

"That your kids would want to see pictures someday," Elisa groaned. "Beth, I was making a joke. Relieving the tension. Are you saying that you're really…"

"Knocked up," Beth said with a sheepish grin. "Bun in the oven and all that."

"Oh my god, Beth!" Elisa leaned over and gave her sister a hug before leaning back. "Everything okay?"

"Everything's fine," Beth reassured her sister. "A doctor confirmed it yesterday. And," Beth said, noting her sister's suspicious glance at the table, "my Mimosa is straight up juice."

"Mom is going to flip," Elisa said, then practically slapped herself on the forehead. "So that explains the wedding today."

"Yeah," Beth said with a lopsided grin. "Stephen didn't want to wait, and if we planned a whole wedding, I wouldn't have fit into my dress, so we decided yesterday to just do it. Besides," Beth said conspiratorially, "He feels a little bad about the whole baby-before-marriage thing. The doctor okayed me and the baby healthy enough to fly, so he's decided to make it up to me by taking me to Italy for the next week for a honeymoon."

Elisa blinked at her. "Italy?"

"Yeah," Beth grinned, watching as Matt and her new husband approached the tables. "Boy guilt. Ain't it great?"
