There was only one word for him, exhausted. He was exhausted. He was irritated. He was disheveled. Everything that came to mind that affiliated to the hunt and fights against RosenGold and Warin's little lackeys, it was meant for Beethes. He tried to keep his eyes open while Bach and Akira discussed with everyone what they should try next after multiple failed attempts, but it was slowly getting to him.

The dragged-out conversations were nothing more but a wheel stuck in the mud as they laid thought after thought, and he was all out of ideas for them. Well, except one. Not that it meant he would go after them, but more protect someone from them. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze, waiting to see if she was awake with him.

Soft, delicate fingers replied back, making him smile. Jenny was just as tired, if not more than him. He saw Liszt yawn, her own eyes heavy with the need for sleep like their own. It wasn't like they meant to stay up, it was Jenny that needed comfort.

Since the attack at the show, Jenny had awoken in the late hours of the night, practically screaming as her nightmares plagued her. Last night was no different. Busting out of his room to find Liszt attempting to calm Jenny as she sobbed against the woman, the same nightmares of RosenGold and what they had done to her. It made him sick, knowing what he did. But it was her, that ultimately had to either conquer them or fall to them.

"Sorry, Ludwig." she whispered to him.

"About what?"

"Waking you." she wouldn't face him.

"Nein, Jenny, there's nothing to be sorry over. I'm not upset with you." he replied.

"Still though. You both were woken by me. You're tired from it, and I feel like it's-"

"Johanna." he lightly scolded, "You did nothing wrong."

Her eyes darted back down to her lap, he could see the worry and distress running through her head, all the thoughts and nightmares claiming her again. He stroked his thumb over her knuckles, doing whatever he could to edge away the fears she had. There had to be something they could do to end this nightmare.

"What about seeing if we can open some of Jenny's suppressed memories? Maybe there we can see what we are up against." Akira suggested.

"How is that possible?" Jenny asked, "Every time I have tried the headaches claim me for the day."

"What about through your Musik?" she replied, "Your Musik is different from the rest of them. Though still learning, you still need conducting, as if you never left the years before."

"Could that work?" Bada asked.

"There's no real proof behind it, just theories."

"Didn't theories get us into trouble before?" Beethes shot out.

"That they did but we are slowly running out of options." Akira replied, "As of late we have seen RosenGold get ahold of bigger companies each week."

"If this was done," Cho questioned, "Whom would be the one to conduct?"

Well that was something that was needed. Jenny had trust in them all but it laid between Cho with past and himself. He didn't want to push her to limits she didn't want to live, he hated the thought of hurting her in anyway. But the gentle squeeze to his hand was her response to it all. The soft 'it'll be ok' that she gave him, and god did it kill him to see her under the stress.

Akira let out a sigh, "Well, it's not what everyone thinks. It would be Bach."

"What?!" Cho and himself exclaimed.

"Me?" Bach joined in their shock.

"Yes." Akira explained, "Though you two would be good candidates for it, your strength in Musik isn't where it needs to be to match this level, Bach, however, is."

Well that went up in smoke, "There's no other way?"

"Not that I can find and this was with deep theorizing with Dr. Ottawa. We are doing what we can here."

Before he could say anymore, Jenny spoke up, "If that is the case, then I would rather it be sooner than later. I don't want to dwell over this anymore."

And there was the strength of her. The very same strength she denied she had within her. He could see the battle behind her eyes, knowing how much fought within her and how she wanted peace.

Bach gave a small nod, "How soon can we get the room prepared?"

He watched as she vocalized within the room, warming up before the test truly began.

"Do you think this is a wise idea?" Beethes asked Cho.

"I honestly have no clue." Cho shrugged, "But for her sake I hope it is."

He hoped it truly was for the best, to have her nightmares stop and her to have a better control over her Musik, he just hoped it didn't push everything they had gained so far back even farther. With his baton at the ready, Bach nodded to her, letting forth his own as she did the same. He could see Jenny tremble slightly, the same thoughts possibly passing through her own mind. With a flick of his wrist, they began.

The familiar tune of Mein glaübiges Herze filled the air as Jenny followed along with the piece, reaching every note and pitch given. They all waited on baited breath as she continued with him yet something seemed off. The music didn't seem to flow between the two of them, almost like something didn't fit. Everything was perfect in hindsight yet he could hear it, see it as a small glimmer of pain crossed her face.

The rooms slowly melded with the Musik, bringing forth memories that seemed to never want to be exposed. The cold hallways stood before them as tools of medical and torture flashed here and there, only for pained screams and anguished cries to enter the room. He watched as men and women were catapulted out of the room as the roof seemed to concave onto itself as Musik flittered around the area, fear and sorrow following as stumbling feet were seem as bloody footprint followed it.

"My lord, we're seeing her memories of the facility." Shuu stated.

"My god, no wonder she kept silent." Liszt added.

He couldn't turn away, watching her everyday life unfold in RosenGold that his heart ached at the pain she endured. He wanted to stop the process, to hold her and reassure her that it would never happen again.

"If this happened to her, what is happening to the others now?" Tchaiko pointed out.

"It would have to be stronger." Wagner replied, "She escaped them and they wouldn't want a repeat of that issue."

He agreed with the boy, there was only so much they could all do except try and find them and get the other nine out.

"Wait!" Bada nearly came off her chair, "Listen."

They all stood silently as a small melody came to them. Quiet at first in the dark room but slowly it grew. Altos, sopranos, tenor, and bass. A violin, harpsichord, flute, and a harp were mixed in as well. No true notes but something sweet and knowing that stood behind it gave hope in such a dark time.

"It's them." Bada stated as she leaned against the glass, "The other ClassicaLoids. She said they would do that when they felt alone, this is what she heard every night."

They all stood stunned at the sound, feeling the hope and wonderment in the strange piece played, this was more than they believed. Clues to those within and now a glimmer of hope to get them all.

Suddenly it changed back to the cold white room as Warin stood over her, his smile sending a sickening punch to his gut as the man's hand disappeared out of sight below her.

"Remember, Lind. You will always be mine."

Jenny's screamed echoed the room, not only of memory but in reality as long thorny stems cocooned her in and a set pinned Bach to the wall, knocking his baton loose.

"Jenny!" Beethes made his way down to them as Akira tried to stop the process.

He looked over to see the vine wrap around Bach's neck, nearly chocking him as Cho came beside him, "She's far in her memories, she can't differentiate us from them!"

Both of them brought forth their Musik, hoping either Emperor Concerto or Nocturne 9 No 2, would get them through the thick coating of the sharp wall.

"Jenny! Jenny, please, it's Ludwig!"

"Johanna, please, it's us." Cho followed, "You're not there, you're here with us!"

Yet as they both worked, Jenny laid dormant in her hidden shell. He tried everything he could think of, from Kreutzer to Fate, he couldn't budge it.

"Guys hurry!" he heard Shuu yell, "We're trying to break this over here yet it's too strong, she's gonna kill him if we don't hurry."

Looking back, he saw Bach's slowly losing his color as Wagner and Shuu tried to set him free.

"Mein Gott, Cho!"

"I see." he replied as he hit the stems again, "Jenny!"

"Move it you two!"

Suddenly he was pushed aside as Liszt came to the cocoon, eyeing the piece as the others shouted again. With a wave of her hand, Liebestraume No. 3 came to them, "Beethes, when this opens, grab her!"

Giving the woman a nod, he watched as her own set of vines reached out for the rose thorns, tangling and meshing together as it seemed to fight one another.

"Jenny, please, you need to hear us! You need to wake up and hear us!" she shouted as the piece continued.

Finally he could see her cloak, he readied himself as Cho held onto his other hand.

"Just in case the vines grab you as well." The man explained to him.

"Get ready!" Liszt shouted.

He waited, little by little it slowly came to view and finally he could see her. Dodging in, he grabbed her hand, feeling her tremble against him and attempt to pull away, but he didn't let her. With a harsh yank, he ripped her out of the cocoon and out to them all as her Musik seemed to follow her as he held her close.

"Jenny! Jenny it's me! Ludwig! Jenny!" he tried to shake her to look at him as she covered her ears.

"Johanna!" Cho added, trying to hold her hand, "Johanna listen to us please!"

Liszt came over wrapping her arms around Jenny, enveloping the frail woman in a heavy embrace, "Jenny listen to me. You're in Arkhe, not RosenGold. You have all of us and none of them. Jenny please!"

They we're running out of time, he had to think of something. Something fast at most. Then it hit him. Hearing a small conversation they had just a few days ago of how she felt when he would hold or kiss her hand, even giving her a gentle kiss. She spoke how he silence her mind even in the darkest of moments. All he did was pray as he kneeled before her.

Gripping her face, he placed a gentle kiss to her cherub lips, feeling her react to him as Liszt held her and Cho stroked her hand. Then the vines were gone. He pulled away for a moment to see Bach slide down to the ground, coughing and gasping for air as the others went to his aid. It was over.

"Jenny?" Cho called quietly to her.

She shook in front of them, small cries leaving her as she sat upon the floor, her Musik gone from her as they followed suit. How he hated to see her like that, he took her other hand, touching her gently to give a sweet squeeze of reassurance and finally got one in return.

"I'm awful." she quietly cried.

"Why do you say that?" Liszt asked.

"I almost hurt him, nearly killed him in fact." she spoke up as a small sob left her, "I'm just as bad as they said."

"Nein!" he gripped her hands within his own, "You are not what they stated. Far from it Jenny."

"But look at what I did? I-"

"It was an accident." Bach spoke as a small cough escaped him, "You didn't mean to do that at all. It was an accident through and through."

"But-"

"But nothing, Jenny." Beethes chided her lightly, "You had no ill intent when it happened. You just had a moment in past and just couldn't get away."

She sighed, leaning her head against him as he held her to him. He rocked her gently, soothing her as best as he could as Akira and the others came to them all.

"It was worth a shot." Bach stated.

"It was and we did get some more info from it. We were able to have an idea of some of the ClassicaLoids within and more detail of their abilities with their Musik, plus we were able to recognize a few of the scientists within and more. Seems like those we let go due to issues went to them and gave out information like we believed. Now we just have to get the proper laws into effect and see what else we may have to do. Akira explained.

"So I was able to help?" Jenny piped up over a quiver.

Akira walked over to them, laying her hand on the woman's shoulder, "Of course, Jenny. You helped out more than you believe."

Beethes gathered her in his arms, having her stand up with him, "Let us go elsewhere and not think about this."

With a nod, Jenny pulled away from him, gently brushing herself off and gave a small notion to the others as they bid them well. He knew he had to get her away from it, just had to. Her eyes screamed so. Guilt flashed over those sapphires, and he just had to stop her minds from telling herself so. Leaving the building and walking the streets for a moment, he knew how to calm her mind. He felt her hand entwine with his, practically asking him to make sure he didn't lose her.

"All's well, Jenny. I have a spot where we can relax and just let time go by."

"Ok Ludwig."

Stopping at a few food carts, he grabbed all he needed and finally had them down towards the ocean's shore. The crash of waves and gulls cry was music to him, soothing at times really and he just hoped it would be the same. Heading over to the sandy beach, he pulled her along to a small sitting area he knew of. Thankfully as it came to sight, it was empty of anyone but themselves as he lead her up the small stairs.

"Here we are, let us relax and just let time go by." he stated, "And if anything comes to us, we can speak of it."

She smiled at him as he handed her imagawayaki, knowing it was one of her favorite desserts in the area. He watched her unwind as he bit into his yakitori, hoping the area and food calmed her a little more.

"Thank you Ludwig."

"You're welcome, Jenny."

"Is this where you go to clear your head at times?"

He nodded, "Ja, it helps at times. Not that Germany didn't have beaches, just something that I found relaxing at times."

"Guessing you didn't relax much in youth?"

Beethes coughed slightly, taken aback by her question, "Well, hit low now."

"You said to speak." she gave a sly grin.

"And I did. Yet about you too."

"I relaxed, I still do. You all witness that in the home. Singing was my relaxing. But outside with nature and following the birds was always a favorite of mine at times."

"Well, guess outside with the birds I did well on, just not the location." he joked at her."

"Please, anywhere outside it beautiful to me." she smiled, "I do have a question. Well, more like a wonder."

"Ok, what is it?"

"Did you really dunk your head in cold water to keep awake and compose?"

He chuckled, "Well, yes, I did. I always felt that I had to. A lot of that was my father's hand in play within my head. I had to be best in his eyes, and I was never close enough. So I would keep myself awake and force myself to work like so."

"A bit rough on yourself. You're only human."

"Tell me you weren't rough on yourself?"

She sighed, "I know you talked to Fredric about that. You won't mention France towards me."

"Guilty."

"But yes, I've always felt that I was never good enough. But like your father, I had standards I was to hit but at times I couldn't. The judgement was always brutal at times and it hurt no matter what angle it came in."

"But you aren't judged here."

"And nor are you."

He smiled at her, seeing her relax more as they ate and watched the scenery. Past wasn't what he expected from her but he would be lying if he didn't say it felt good getting some of it off of his chest and he could see it being good for her as well.

"May I ask another?"

"Of course."

"Do you blame yourself for Karl?"

He just stared at her, not expecting that at all from her, "What brought that?"

"I read a little on it."

Beethes just sighed, "Ja, I do."

He felt her hand lay upon his arm as he found himself staring down at the sandy surface before them, "I do blame myself. I thought I was doing the right thing, making sure he would be able to make it in the world. Have talents and more, yet I nearly became the man I hated most."

"It's why you avoid children isn't it?"

"Pretty much."

"Oh Ludwig, I'm sorry."

"For what?"

Jenny's hand came to his cheek, cupping it ever so gently, "Of the life you had before. You are too good to have lived such a world."

Beethes grinned at her, "And you don't see the same for yourself?"

She cocked her head at him, "What do you mean?"

"Look at what happened at RosenGold to you. The hurt you went through as a growing singer and more. You think you deserved at? Johanna, you wear your heart on your sleeve and yet smile when those around you hurt you. I can't even think that would be fair to many yet you just go along. You are too good to have that happen to you as well."

She gave a warm smile to him, "You really know what to say, don't you?"

"Well I do try."

A small chuckle left her, "You are too good to me Ludwig, no wonder I love you."

His head shot up as a hand clasped itself over her mouth, her eyes wide in shock as what she spoke lingered in the air between them, "What did you say?"

"I..uh...I...um...well, it looks like what you planned worked Ludwig but I best be getting back to the home. I thank you for helping me and being there for me."

"Jenny, wait!" Beethes called out to her but she was nearly running away from him.

She loves him. She said she loves him. He wasn't sure if he was just shocked or in awe over what had transpired, but he knew one thing for certain, and that was how he truly felt. "I love you too, Jenny."
