Hey everyone! I hope you guys enjoy day 7 of Sonaze week. It's been fun.
Amidst of me writing for Sonaze week, Sonaze actually became my new comfort ship...And that really surprised me.
Thing is though I am not sure if writing for the Sonic series is going to be a regular thing for me...So I can't make any solid promises to people who followed me for Sonic fanfiction.
I mean don't get me wrong! I am considering writing more. Writing more Sonaze and Taiream, Silvamy, Shadouge, Shadamy, and other ships. But I am not sure right now.
So anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the last fanfic. And thank you for all the support.
The days Sonic and his friends spent in the fire kingdom and Blaze's dimension were some of the best days they ever had.
During their time together, they experienced adventure, and their friendship grew even stronger.
Sonic, Blaze, and all their friends grew and changed together.
And love bloomed.
But sadly, they couldn't stay together forever, and now they were at the crossroads as all of them stood by a giant portal. And this was where they had no choice but to say goodbye.
On the day Sonic and Blaze had to go their separate ways, Blaze wore her shiny blue wind amulet that she obtained during their adventures. And Sonic wore the shiny red fire amulet he received during their adventures. They wore those amulets like their most precious treasure.
Cream and Blaze hugged each other and wished each other well before Cream took Tails' hand and waited to leave with the others.
But Sonic and Blaze wanted nothing more but to stay together. But the two of them stayed strong. At the same time, Silver and Amy looked as if they could only stay strong for so long.
"I hope you get home safely Amy," Silver said. He couldn't hide the heartbreak in his eyes, though.
And Amy started to cry heavy tears.
"No! No!"
Amy nearly crushed Silver from hugging him, and Silver hugged her back tenderly.
"I don't want to leave you Silver! I love you!" Amy said between sobs.
"I thought I knew what love was, but I didn't know what love was until I met you!" Amy cried.
Silver cried a few tears himself.
"Amy…" Silver said.
Amy continued to sob, and Silver rubbed her back.
"I love you too Amy," Silver said.
"Oh Silver!" Amy cried again. She gave Silver plenty of kisses on his face.
Blaze had to admit that if Amy got any more emotional, she would get choked up herself. But they all knew they had to go their separate ways to protect their worlds.
Blaze and Sonic faced each other as they tried to say their final words of goodbye.
"Sonic…" Blaze said.
Blaze held herself and tried to hide the sadness on her face, while Sonic's smile was unwavering as if their lives weren't about to change forever. She envied Sonic for always being a force of positivity. But sometimes, she couldn't understand why he could be so confident at a time like this.
"I wouldn't be half the princess I am today if not for you. I was very fortunate to meet all of you." Blaze paused as she tried to keep herself together again.
Blaze blinked her eyes as Sonic smiled at her, and then he bowed his head.
"Blaze…"
Sonic got down on one knee.
"I mean, your highness."
Blaze wanted to tell him he didn't need to be so formal. This wasn't the Sonic she knew. She felt Sonic should be his usual carefree self, and they could all pretend everything was normal and all of them could have fun. The way Sonic acted cemented that everything was about to change.
Sonic lifted his head and took her hands.
"This was an unforgettable adventure," Sonic said. He smiled up at her as he held her hands tenderly. "And I could never forget you."
Blaze blushed from Sonic's sincere words.
She wondered if she should tell him. So she would have no regrets.
But this could be the last time they ever saw each other.
Blaze laced her hands with Sonic's, and Sonic got to his feet again. The two of them tried to say what was in their hearts, but all they could bring themselves to do was find comfort in holding each other's hands.
And it felt like time had stopped as Sonic and Blaze met each other's eyes and moved closer so they could feel each other's breath.
"Sonic!" Tails cried.
Sonic and Blaze moved away from each other, and they both knew that it was time to say goodbye.
Tails and Cream moved closer to the portal but turned back one last time.
"Goodbye Blaze," Cream said with tears in her eyes.
"Oh Cream," Blaze cried. She knew that tears didn't suit Cream at all.
Tails held Cream close and turned to Silver. "Goodbye Silver," Tails said.
Silver held Amy from behind as he walked her to the portal. Silver turned to Tails and felt sorrow for his little friend as well.
"Take it easy, Tails," Silver said.
Tails and Cream walked into the portal together. And Silver and Amy stood by the portal as Amy kissed him on the lips one last time. Silver held her and savored the kiss until they forced themselves apart.
"Goodbye my love," Amy said as she handed him a pink rose. She walked into the portal with tears in her eyes. And as strong as Silver tried to be, he held the pink rose to his chest and made no response.
Sonic walked closer to the portal, but Blaze held his hand and followed. But as they got closer, Blaze's hand slipped from him as Sonic walked up to the portal.
But Sonic turned to her one last time and smiled as he raised his hand.
"See ya Blaze."
Sonic's red amulet glowed, and Blaze's blue amulet glowed without realizing it.
Sonic walked backward, still smiling at her as he disappeared.
Blaze felt a loss for words as the portal vanished. In the silence, the cruel reality started to set in. And Blaze bowed her head, unable to keep it together any longer.
"... He's gone."
Sonic and Blaze knew they had to continue living life in their own worlds. Sonic knew he had to be a rational hero like Blaze was a rational princess. She always acted maturely.
But Sonic didn't understand why their two worlds met, only to be forced apart.
Sonic ran far and wide, looking for an answer. He looked up at the stars of the universe, begging for an answer. Because he knew he couldn't live in a world without Blaze. Amy still missed Silver every day, even if she was happy most of the time. And Tails and Cream missed their friends so much.
"Why?" Sonic cried again.
"Why must we be apart?!"
But Sonic knew he couldn't ask the same question forever and fell to his knees.
"Please…"
"Please grant my one wish! Please bring Blaze back to me!"
The fire amulet that he still wore glowed.
And then, when Sonic opened his eyes, he looked up at the stars and saw the northern lights. It was so strange to see the northern lights at a time like this.
"What's happening?"
In Blaze's dimension, she spent another lonely night on the balcony. Blaze's wind amulet glowed beautifully. And Silver sat on a nearby balcony with a pink rose in his hand.
Days later, Blaze was told a theater group was coming to the kingdom, and Blaze decided to attend. She stood on the castle balcony with a good view of the traveling theater. Blaze closed her eyes and declared that she could not be sad forever, that she would be crowned queen soon. And so she sat down and watched as the play started.
A story of love between a cloaked hero with a captivating voice and a princess who wore a mask. Blaze groaned to herself, with how this play brought back old feelings.
The princess and the hero took hands.
"We will run away together. And nothing will tear us apart," the princess declared.
"Yes, my dearest princess, we will be together soon," the hero said.
In the next scene, the cloaked hero was alone, and he looked up at the starry backdrop.
"Oh stars of the universe, grant my deepest wish!"
The hero removed his cloak, and Blaze was breathless as the actor who played the hero was none other than Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Bring my beloved Blaze to me!" Sonic cried.
Blaze ran up to the balcony railing and felt she was dreaming. Silver was nearby and walked up to the balcony as the girl who played the princess removed her mask.
"Amy!" Silver cried.
It was real, Blaze realized. She quickly turned and ran so she could head out the castle doors. The kingdom crowd was in a frenzy because of the return of their hero.
Blaze rushed through the crowd as her amulet glowed. She pleaded for the crowd to let her through, and soon she saw Sonic greeting everyone in the crowd. As Blaze got closer to him, she ran faster.
"Sonic!"
Blaze jumped into Sonic's arms as Sonic held her and twirled her before setting her on the ground.
Blaze could feel him and hear him. There were tears in her eyes as she looked at him.
"Sonic," Blaze cried.
Sonic smiled at her. "Hey Blaze."
Blaze hugged him tighter. "You're here!"
Sonic moved his hand through her hair as she continued to cry happy tears.
Silver and Amy hugged each other tightly at a distance, finally being reunited.
And on the balcony, Tails and Cream smiled as the entire fire kingdom rejoiced.
"I guess we can all live happily now," Cream said.
Tails smiled at Cream. "Yeah."
And after holding each other for so long, Sonic and Blaze finally shared a kiss they had wanted to share for so long. Tears streamed down their eyes as they shared the kiss of a lifetime. They didn't stop, even when the entire kingdom rejoiced around them.
It turned out that the reason Sonic and Blaze met was because their two worlds were destined to be united.
And now they would never be apart.
