Author's Note: Hello, I'd like to begin by saying that I deleted all of my stories, which were two of them, because I hadn't been in this website for years and I wasn't pleased with them. So, I apologize to those who knew me on Fanfiction, but I will not be returning to those stories. I shifted my attention to Code Lyoko, one of my childhood favorites.

Before you begin reading this story, the most important thing I can tell you is that I aged up all of the characters. I envisioned them in their later teens, around 16 or 17 years old, but I won't give you exact ages because it's not important at this stage. So keep that in mind going forward now.

Another thing to note is that I did not choose a specific season for what will happen in this story, so things may be out of order. Consider this story to be an alternate reality to the Lyoko story.

With everything that needs to be said is done, enjoy the story and remember to review. I will appreciate any predictions, critiques, or statements. Thank you all.

Jeremy was the first to recognize that something was not quite right about this evening, a feeling that sent shivers down his spine, it was unsettling, and he couldn't seem to ignore it, much less fall back asleep. Another clue that his unease had given way to worry was a missed cellular telephone call from Aelita. Naturally, anything involving her would make him anxious, and he wouldn't be able to relax before he could see her in good condition.

He turned his attention out of his bedroom and proceeded to the girl's dorm after calling her back but receiving no response on the other end; he managed to knock on Odd's and Ulrich's door to wake them up as he passed by their bedroom, he thought it was enough to stir them out of bed considering he didn't want to waste any more time on them. But there was the issue of Jim, who can really avert him from reaching the girl's dorm seeing as boys are expressly prohibited from entering during the nighttime hours. But he didn't have to think on it for too long because he had been able to maneuver up to her bedroom and barge in unannounced. Normally, he would never do something so impolite, but he couldn't help himself anymore; he was beginning to feel extremely concerned for her.

All of his fear were immediately validated. "No..." When he realized she wasn't there, his blood ran cold." Xana!"

That was the turning point that set everything else in motion. Jeremy continued to run out from the school campus and then into the night as he considered calling Yumi, attempting to warn her of the impending danger they were all in. But nevertheless, he was intercepted in the school yard by a xanafied William, while not too far behind him laid on the ground a completely motionless Aelita. Jeremy was so absorbed on dialing Yumi's phone number that he didn't notice he had just about caught up to William. But when William spotted Jeremy first, he didn't waste any time in acting. William hoisted Jeremy up in the air by the neckline of his shirt, essentially reducing away his ability to breathe properly.

"William, wake up-You mustn't let Xana control you!" Jeremy pleaded with him to stop. He never could fight him by himself in this set of circumstances. Although if William were not under Xana's control, his limited strength would be insufficient to repel him. Jeremy's only alternative was to attempt to find the real William within," Please! Defeat him!"

Jeremy couldn't help but take a peek at Aelita, overwhelmed at the thought of what he'd have done to her, even though he was being held captive at the moment. He didn't notice any physical injury to her throughout the brief time he kept his gaze on her.

William pulled him even higher up, only to hurl him out across the courtyard and onto the ground of concrete. With a pained exhalation, the impact managed to knock the air out of Jeremy, and he needed a chance to recuperate. William in the meantime wandered straight back to Aelita, gently lifting her off the ground and cradled her in his arms, her head resting on his chest.

William stepped past Jeremy's quivering form, but before he was entirely out from reach, Jeremy gripped his ankle and said, "No, I won't let you take her that easily... Not while I'm still here."

Jeremy knew there was really nothing he could do to prevent him from attempting to leave away with Aelita, but he was behaving on principle; Jeremy would never abandon her. He'd rather have whatever harm happen to him before it unfolded on her.

"Simple enough to fix," William remarked, with a slight grin. He stretched out a palm to Jeremy, and a beam of reddish lightening emanated from it, striking him squarely in the face.

He felt a hot flash of intense heat tear across his face, and there was no more thinking after the initial register of pain. Jeremy wailed in agony as electric shocks coursed through his entire body, paralyzing his muscles. There was no more time for him, and everything else had faded away, having left only the piercing pain as his constant companion.

After a few more moments, William came to a halt when Jeremy finally stopped his screaming and let out a few exhausted groans. The xanafied William had planned to kill him right then and there, but made up his mind when he eventually realized he could also take Jeremy with him. If he exploits the boy's intelligence against the other Lyoko Warriors, he would be extremely effective. Even if he were to regain consciousness, he was easy enough to subdue to his whims.

With his mind made up, William tossed Aelita's limp weight onto one shoulder then began to sit Jeremy's comatose body up so he could carry him securely in his arms as well.

Suddenly at that moment an unknown voice shrieked, "Leave him alone!"

When Odd as well as Ulrich collided with William's body, forcing him to drop each one of his hostages, is when William realized too late that he had let his guard down. Because of the sudden release from William, Aelita fell directly on top of Jeremy as he landed back down to where he'd been picked up from.

Odd with Ulrich utilized their entire body weight to hold William down, taking advantage of their surprise attack, but they now confronted a new problem. For the time being, they can hold him off for a short time but it won't help Jeremy and Aelita escape from William. Odd gripped his legs down, while Ulrich restrained his hands. Ulrich attempted to knock him out with a single blow to the face, but he knew better than to count on that alone being enough to weaken him. A light flared from William's hands as he wrestled against them, indicating that he was accumulating energy to stun them both, as he had done with Jeremy and Aelita.

"Oh no, you don't!" Exclaims Odd as he reaches into his pocket and pressed a weird black rectangular object against William's leg. William instantly began to glitch like pixels on a computer screen, rendering him fully incapacitated and allowing Ulrich and Odd to bring a stop to their fighting.

Ulrich gasped and slowed his heart rate as he tried to regain his breath. Only watching in disbelief that finally William was subdued.

"What did you do to him?" Ulrich asked, a little worried. It was still William after all, he didn't want him injured beyond the point of recovery.

They both stood up and stepped away from William, giving Odd the opportunity to turn around and show Ulrich what he was holding.

"Thanks to this little beauty I was able to accomplish a lot. Don't you think so too, Ulrich?" Odd brandished the taser around like he would a toy with a satisfied grin on his face.

"How did you manage to get that?" Ulrich was amazed by Odd's willingness to bend the rules, which was heightened by the fact that he brought a firearm onto school grounds.

"I know a guy." Odd maintains his smirk.

"Whatever the case, Odd, stop being a moron. We've got to get them out of here." As Ulrich made his way to their injured friends, he smacked Odd's hand out of the way.

"Hey! I was only answering your question." Odd pouted but followed Ulrich regardless; he was just as worried as Ulrich was for their friends. "How are they doing?"

"Thankfully, they're breathing." Ulrich had his hand on Aelita's cheek near her nostrils, and Odd could feel Jeremy's chest rise and fall steadily.

Odd felt a twinge of guilt that Jeremy wouldn't have had to be alone if he and Ulrich had arrived sooner. He would gleefully tease Jeremy and Aelita about any physical contact they might have initiated with each other at any other time, but not now, not like this, not with them as injured as they were.

"All right, I'll carry Aelita and you with Jeremy," Odd suggested. Odd deduced from Ulrich's single nod that he was feeling just as guilty as he was.

But before they can even touch their friends again, William attacked Odd from behind, forcing him to land face forward, and held him down with an armlock, bending his arm up towards his shoulder blade.

"Ahhhh! If he goes any higher, he'll pop my shoulder out of the socket!" Odd yelled out to Ulrich in pain.

Ulrich rushed to his friend's aid, but William was better prepared this time and grabbed Ulrich by the neck when he got too close to them. Ulrich reached up to his throat, attempting to pry William's fingers from his neck, but William was too strong for him. William flung Ulrich, just as he had Jeremy, but he knew better than to throw him to the ground, where he could quickly recover. That's why he threw him towards the cafeteria window. The sound of shattering glass and tables collapsing as Ulrich's body collides with each item in his path.

"Ulrich! Ulrich!" Odd became terrified as he heard the terrible crashes, his tears welling up in his eyes.

"You'd be better off worrying about yourself." William returned Odd's gaze. "So, let's start by giving you a taste of your own medicine."

William knelt even lower to reach Odd's pocket, where he kept his taser. He smiled down at Odd after pulling it out and turning it on, zaps erupting from it. Then he began repeatedly tasing Odd on the back. William's powers could easily stun him, but the torture was far more satisfying with each scream Odd let out. Odd realized he couldn't do anything while pinned there like that. He just tried to bear his punishment as best he could, grinding his teeth in pain. He didn't stop until Odd stopped screaming and fighting against him, and after a while, William stood up to look down at Odd's limp body. He scoffs and kicks him in the ribs for good measure before returning to Aelita and Jeremy, his true prey.

This time, William didn't bother to handle Jeremy and Aelita as delicately as he could; rather, he simply placed them on each of his shoulders and afterwards ran away, utilizing his super speed. He left behind two severely injured teenagers in his wake, and they were to be found not by Yumi, but by the rest of the school students. Students who chose to venture out into the dark after hearing blood curdling screams and commotion outside their dormitory.

Author's Note: Here I am again and thank you for getting to the end of the chapter. I know this was a bit on the short side but if I didn't stop it here then I feel it would have been information overload and I didn't like doing that. I am working on the next chapter already and I think it will be much longer than this one, so head's up.

And there's some excellent news: I'll be collaborating with a family member to promote my story even more by giving each chapter its own illustration. I'll also post this story on AO3 because I'll be able to attach photos there. This chapter will be illustrated soon, probably by next week. But until then, I won't upload the second chapter unless I first upload the drawing for his chapter. So I can't wait to show you what we've been working on. Until that time, alright? Bye for now.
