I am posting this a day early since I won't be able to post tomorrow. I hope you enjoy! Also please review! I would love to hear what you are thinking!
Chapter 6
Harry smiled as he looked at the Hogwarts Express, the excitement of returning to Hogwarts finally getting to him.
"Hey, Harry," he heard someone call. Harry looked over his shoulder and smiled when he saw Alisa waving towards him.
Harry waded through the crowds with ease. His trunk had a nifty shrinking feature where he could make it the size of a matchbox with a touch of a button. Within seconds Harry made his way through the crowds and to his friends.
"Hey, Draco, Alisa, how have you been?"
"Pretty good, despite it only being a week since you last saw us," Draco replied.
The small group snickered as they made their way onto the train. The group quickly found the compartment that they had sat in last year and made themselves comfortable. Once they had settled down Harry got up and closed the door and shut the curtains, hoping it would make any curious students go away.
The group smiled and laughed as the train began to go down the English countryside. Soon however their laughter was cut short as the door opened.
"Oh look, it's Potter and his lackeys," Ron said.
The group immediately threw up their masks, showing no emotions on their faces, all laughter forgotten.
"Weasley, what forced you to impose your presence among us," Draco drawled.
"Nothing forced my presence, in fact, I would see it as a gift to all who encountered it," Weasley responded.
"Well, luckily for you, my presence of a staggering magnitude means that we can survive just fine without your imposing," Draco said.
Alisa and Harry tried to hide their laughter but failed miserably after looking at the reddening face of the Weasel.
"Hey, Weasly," Alisa called. "Could you possibly leave? I mean, I know I'm not one for the common welfare, but your stench has to be considered a biohazard."
Draco and Harry lost it with this comment, their laughter only growing stronger as Weasley struggled to find words that would do well to respond. The trio watched as Weasly marched out of the doorway. Harry waved his hand and the door shut again.
"Well now that the largest annoyance of the century is gone, I believe we were talking about …" Harry resumed.
The three talked about what they were excited for and the different things they would be doing in school that year. They were interrupted again, but it was much more pleasant. The Slytherin Trio found themselves stuck with a small girl who went by the name Luna Lovegood. And despite only knowing her for less than a day, the Slytherins adopted her into their group.
They soon arrived at the platform and sadly had to separate from the little girl, as she had to go on the boats.
"Hey Harry."
"Yes Draco?"
"Why did Lovegood keep calling you 'Tricksters Prince'?"
Harry sighed and waved away the question, claiming ignorance as to why. Draco continued to look at him weirdly, throughout the rest of the night, sending him questioning glances. Harry ignored it all. They trio watched as Luna Lovegood walked away from the hall, never looking again at Harry.
Harry found his mind wandering during the feast that year, trying to figure out how on earth she knew that he was Loki's son. He decided not to dwell on it and instead focussed on figuring who in the upcoming year would be a threat or an ally.
Soon, Harry laid back on his bed staring at the ceiling of his dorm room. A small smile made its way onto his face as one thought ran across his mind, I'm home.
Harry looked around the common room and smirked. He had plenty of plans for this year, including taking over as much of Hogwarts was possible. However, those plans had to come to a brief pause as they had to deal with the latest abomination of a Defense teacher.
"So how's Lockhart?" Harry asked a third year Slytherin.
Alex Lestrange, adopted son of Rabastain Lestrange, had begun to converse with the famed Silver trio early this year. He knew he needed to make allies in this house, and a group of Potters and Malfoys seems like the best one. Alex had become something of an information source, trading information for an alliance.
"He's a complete fraud. We could probably pass the end of the year test he had planned right now," Alex complained.
Harry sighed, not liking what he was hearing. He knew Lockhart was going to be bad, but he didn't know how bad. Turns out that Lockhart was supposedly an abomination of a teacher and was an offense to teachers across the globe.
"Alright, I'll see how bad he is when I have him on Thursday. If he is as terrible as I've heard, well, you know who Draco and Alisa's father is," Harry said with a smirk.
Aex smirked as well, hoping that Lockhart would indeed be gone by the end of the year. In the meantime, Harry had a very important meeting with the new King and Queen of Slytherin, Jocelyn Olivander, a niece of the famous wandmaker, and Marcus Flint.
Harry walked up to the pair, looking curiously at the two of them.
"Hello, and first congratulations Marcus and Jocelyn," Harry said formally.
"Thank you, Harry. Now what do you need from us?" Jocelyn asked.
"I have contacts in the other years and houses, and I have heard terrible things about our newest Defense Teacher. I have an idea on how to get rid of him, but I need not only your permission, but your help."
The King and Queen listened intently, making adjustments to Harry's plan and helping give him a timeline.
"Ok, we will talk to the other prefects and see if they would be willing to help," Flint replied. "The only house we may have difficulty with would be Gryfindor, which comes as no surprise."
Harry nodded then stood up to leave.
"I will inform my court of this plan, Alisa will be the secondary public figurehead and Draco will handle the collection, preservation and authentication of the letter," Harry said.
The two nodded as they watched Harry leave, both thinking about how this year was going to get interesting very, very quickly.
When Harry returned to Alisa and Draco, they began talking quickly of the plan, finalizing any details then headed off to bed. Preparing to begin the plan in the morning, Harry smiled as he looked at his friends, excited for the coming year and the plan that was going to begin within the coming day.
Alisa, Draco and Harry stood outside of the classroom, waiting to be let in. Soon they heard a loud voice call for them and their classmates to let themselves in.
Alisa wished she could simply leave the classroom and not have to suffer for the next hour and a half, but as she sat down in her chair, knowing that dream wasn't going to be a reality. She looked to her left where Harry sat with an impassive face and next to him Draco sat with a cold look adorning his face. Alisa sighed internally and brought up her masks, as it would not be good to be seen looking down on a teacher she had never met. After about another minute of waiting, a man with loud robes and too perfect hair came through the door that led to the teachers office
Gilderoy Lockhart, Alisa thought in disgust upon seeing the man.
Alisa, Draco and Harry all fought the looks of disgust that threatened to come over their faces as they watched their new 'teacher' enter the room. Most of the Slytherins sat in silent disgust while watching the man ramble on about himself. When Lockhart handed out a quiz, the trio was surprised that this man was going to do anything remotely educational. However, as they read through the questions, any ideas that this class was going to be of benefit vanished. Harry almost lost it while reading the questions, annoyed that his time was being wasted.
"Sir," Draco said. The trio had nominated Draco to be the one to lead the confrontation, as he inherited the ability to be overly intimidating without really trying. Harry was going to do it, but Harry had a habit of letting his magic run wild if he was angered, an effect of his block being released. "I have a concern about this quiz."
"Yes Mr. -"
"Malfoy Sir."
Lockhart visibly gulped slightly. He was not unaware of the multiple influential people Draco's father had an in with, and knew if he screwed up here he might as well kiss his fame goodbye.
"Well, Mr. Malfoy, what is your concern?"
"I believe that this quiz doesn't have anything to do with our education when it comes to defending ourselves against the dark arts."
"Well, Mr. Malfoy, as I am the teacher, it is up to my discretion to choose what goes on in the lesson and what is learned and the material covered."
"Normally sir I would say you are right, however I don't see any educational value concerning the quiz you gave us."
"Mr. Malfoy, this is a quiz to see whether or not you have read the books that I assigned for this class," Lockhart said, getting annoyed with the second year.
"Normally, Professor, I would concede to this point, however none of the information that is asked about in the quiz is remotely related to any educational material in your books."
"Mr. Malfoy, I do not see how it is your -"
"Professor," Harry said, standing. The group had agreed that if the professor would not stand down, then Harry would finish what was started by Draco. Alisa and Draco smirked, preparing themselves for the show that was about to take place. Harry kept an impassive mask on his face as he rose from his seat, with the 'quiz' in hand.
"Mr. Potter, you cannot just interrupt a professor," Lockhart cried.
"You will see that I can do whatever I want, Gilderoy," Harry sneered. "I would normally find a quiz on the first day a good idea to see who did the summer reading, however the material of the books assigned was hardly informative and had less details than the fantasy books about the night my parents were killed," he said coolly.
Lockhart stood there in shock, unable to comprehend that this child had just compared his books, his books, to a work of fantasy made for children. Now, was half of the things in his books made up, yes, and did he actually do any of it, no, but that's besides the point.
"Mr. Potter, you have no right to question my teaching methods. The information on the quiz was useful and very important in this class!"
"Professor, I don't know how some of this information could be deemed as 'useful'. I know that I don't need to know your favorite color in order to cast a defensive spell. I also don't see the relevance of what your greatest ambition is. I don't believe that it will help when battling a vampire or a werewolf."
Harry smirked as he watched Lockhart gape openly at him, not being able to grasp that he had ripped apart by a second year.
"Detention, Mr. Potter," Lockhart cried, desperate to re-establish authority in his classroom. "I will arrange the details later with your head of house."
Harry merely shrugged, going back to his desk with a smirk still on his face. He looked over to Draco and Alisa, a small smile coming over his face. They showed him a quick smile then returned their attention to the lesson currently being taught. If only to write down what was wrong with it for further use.
The Silver trio sat in the common room, excited about the letter they were currently writing. It had been a week since they had their first class with Lockhart and things had gone fantastically for the trio. They had managed to collect over 50 formal complaint letters from Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. There were a variety of students, ranging from a first year to seventh years, boys and girls. Draco and Alisa knew that this was enough to convince their father to bring the issue up with the board of governors as they looked at the letters that they were sorting before sending off to their fathers.
Harry was glad that the plan worked so well, but his thoughts were else were. Earlier today he had felt his locket heat up then saw a small amount of light peak out from underneath his robes. He tried to remember who was around him or who for that matter touched him. He hated being touched, ever since the Dursley implanted in him the idea that all touch was bad touch, but for some reason he couldn't remember who touched him.
Harry shook himself from the thoughts, knowing that he would drive himself mad before he was able to figure out who was his sister. He looked around the common room deciding that he needed some time alone. Harry got up and left the common room, his feelings and thoughts still running wild.
He walked around the school for some time, the magic inside of him leading him to find different passages and areas. Soon Harry found himself outside a girl's restroom, from which he could hear the cries of a ghost. Harry cautiously walked inside the restroom, his magic leading him inside. He looked around the bathroom, noticing nothing out of place. About to exit, he noticed a pull leading him to a sink within the middle of the bathroom.
What the hell, Harry thought when feeling the masked dark magic.
*open* he hissed, not understanding what he was doing.
Harry stepped back in shock when seeing the sink open before him. After checking his surroundings one more time, he cautiously slid down the foreboding tunnel, thoughts running wild while heading down. When he finally reached the end of the tunnel he heard his feet crunch under the ground. Harry sharply inhaled at the sight of so many bones beneath his feet, even though they mostly looked like those of rodents and other small animals.
Harry let his hand fall to the small hidden sheath on his thigh where his dagger was. He carefully removed the dagger while sheathing his wand at the same time.
To Harry, a wand was useless most of the time, unless he needed it to increase the level of magic input while exerting the same amount of energy. Something inside of him thought that he would need the dagger.
He walked through the damp hallway, his sense dialed to eleven. Harry looked around a corner as he finally saw a door. The door was large and made of stone, with snakes circling around it, like a lock system.
*open* Harry hissed once more.
A small amount of shock ran through him as he registered the hissing noise he made. Part of him expected it, like it was a part of him. He stored away his thoughts on the subjects, making a mental note to ask his father when he saw him next.
Harry watched as the snakes moved around the door. Eventually the door swung open to reveal a large chamber with a stone head of Salazar Slytherin in the middle.
Harry looked around in awe but immediately stopped, instead focusing in on the figure near the end of the chamber. He felt a pang of recognition when he saw the bright red hair, so often associated with the annoyance that was the Weasley family. He stepped closer to the figure, being sure to make as little sound as possible, dagger still gripped tight in his hand.
All of a sudden, the Weasley girl began hissing, making Harry reel back in shock. He watched as she summoned something, the great monster of Slytherin she called it. Harry quickly stepped behind a pillar, covering himself from view.
*I sense another, Master* Harry heard the monster hiss.
The girl whipped around, slowly walking towards the column where Harry was hiding.
*Shield your gaze for now, we don't want to kill, yet*
Harry sucked in a breath before slowly coming out from behind the stone pillar. He froze as soon as he saw the giant snake that was sitting in the chamber in front of him.
*Hello* Harry said cautiously.
The girl's eyes briefly shone bright with curiosity, then quickly darkend.
*Who are you and how can you speak my ancestors tongue?" the girl hissed threateningly.
*I am Harry Potter-Lokison*
The great snake snapped its head toward Harry.
*Did you say Lokison?* the snake asked.
*Yes* Harry said cautiously.
The snake turned towards Ginny and gently hissed. *Tom, I need to talk to him alone, come back in about an hour or whenever you can come back.*
Ginny nodded her head as she walked past Harry, making her way out of the Chamber. Harry watched her go, wondering why she was acting so weird. She was nothing like her normally overly excited self who was fawning over him at every second. She was only second to Ron on his list of the most annoying Weasleys. He wasn't complaining but he did find it weird.
*Who are you,* Harry asked the large snake.
*My name is Jormungandr, I am your brother, young Harry.*
Harry stared at his brother, almost unable to believe what he was hearing. He couldn't believe that he had a brother in the school. He knew that he had a sister somewhere in the school but he was unable to find her.
Harry reached underneath his robes to fish out the necklace that he kept on him at all times. He looked as he felt waves of heat emanating from the small oval pendant. Harry quickly looked up to the snake as a smile broke out on his face. He rushed towards the snake giving it an awkward hug.
The snake was so big that Harry couldn't even put his arms halfway around the neck of the snake. Jormungandr looked on in shock at the small child, feeling a sense of protectiveness come over him.
*Young Harry, you must go back to your school before they become suspicious of you. Be safe little brother.*
Harry nodded and started to make his way out of the great chamber. The moment he was out of the chamber a human sized figure shimmered into existence before the giant snake.
*He's a special child," Loki said, an underlying tone of sadness in his voice.
*That he is,* Jormungandr agreed. He looked at the door where his brother had disappeared through before turning to his father.
*I'm shocked at how fast he took to you,* Loki commented. *When he first met me, I had to break down a memory block before he remembered who I was. I didn't think he would accept that I was his father. After the memories I still didn't get that large of a reaction. We began talking about his life and he begged me to know if he had any siblings. I told him all about his three brothers and his older sister. I also told him about his sister.*
*I have felt the magical presence of another child who is of your line. I didn't sense Harry because he was masking his presence.*
Loki sighed when he heard this. It was only because his son picked up those daggers that Loki even knew where his son was. If his son hadn't picked up those daggers the enchantment on them wouldn't have alerted Himdel. He had placed a spell on the daggers that only a child or descendant of Loki could pick up those daggers and because of that they were monitored to keep tabs on the Midgard branch of the Loki family.
*It was only because of the charms on those daggers that I found Harry. I don't know who he learned from to mask his presence but I wish to properly strangle them. The other child you are smelling is probably Harry's twin sister*.
*Why is her power so… weak?" Jormungandr asked, thoroughly confused. His younger brother was a powerful child, he could feel it. He had a unique smell to him. He smelled like his father but there was a strange edge.
*I believe she has a block on her power. Harry did. She also has a glamor as well, that's why I can't find her yet.*
The two looked at each other again, thinking about all that had just happened before telling each other goodbye. Jormungandr looked on sadly as he watched his father leave the chamber. He never got that many visitors though his dad did try to escape Asgard as often as possible to come see him.
The giant snake looked at the entrance to the Chamber sadly, before slithering into the mouth of the giant statue behind him.
Harry sat in the common room, quite bored. It had been almost two whole months since discovering he had a brother and he was no closer to finding his sister. Sometimes he thought he might know who it is but. He was sitting in the common room one night when he saw Blaise Zabini walk past him. An idea struck him so suddenly that he was almost embarrassed
"Hey Blaise, I need to talk to you," Harry called out.
Blaise looked at Harry quickly before nodding and heading towards the chair where Harry was seated.
"Not here, you can come into my room. This needs to be kept quiet."
Blaise nodded again before following Harry towards the hallway of dorms that belonged to Harry's year. Harry quickly looked over his shoulder to make sure he couldn't see anyone else in the hallway before casting a few detection spells. Once the spells showed that there was no one in the hallway except for Blaise and himself, he quietly hissed a password to his door.
Blaise looked on in shock, not knowing that Harry was a parselmouth.
"I trust you enough for this one secret, Zabini. Keep it quiet until I reveal it to the school or else you will wish you have never met me," Harry threatened.
Blaise wanted to laugh at the words but the sense of power backing them made him wisely choose to not ignore the threat.
The two stepped inside while Blaise cautiously looked around Harry's room. The dark wood that lined the floors was somehow comforting while also being incredibly foreboding. The black metal that made the bed and wardrobe almost glitter in the soft light that shone in the room. There were very few possessions in the room that Blaise could see. Besides the wicked looking black sword mounted on the wall, Blaise saw nothing that marked the room as Harry's.
Blaise heard the door slam shut with a strange sense of finality then turned to Harry who was looking at him, his eyes and face blank of any emotion.
"I need to ask you a question," Harry said quickly.
Blaise nodded in response then waited for him to continue.
"Can you see or only sense a magical aurora?"
"I can see one," Blaise said, hesitating only slightly.
"Good. I need to know, do mine and Alisa magical auras look similar?"
Bliase stood there in slight shock for a moment before recalling what Alisas arua looked like. Then he looked to Harry, letting down the shields that protect his eyes from always seeing the magical aura of people. He compared the two sights in his mind then slowly nodded.
"Your aura and Alisa's are very similar, infact, so similar I don't know why I didn't know beforehand," Blaise said cautiously, not knowing if this was the answer the powerful wizard wanted to know.
"Probably because I had a mask over my power," Harry mumbled to himself. "Can you tell if there is a familial connection to another person through magic?"
Blaise paused again to think before slowly nodding his head. "I should be able to tell depending on how close the two are related to each other by blood."
"Very good. Do you see a connection between Alisa and myself?"
"Yes actually. It looks like you are the farthest first cousins. Your magical signatures represent each other and I can see a family bond binding you to her and her to you. It's faint but, which is why I didn't see it before, but it is there," Blaise replied.
He watched as Harry quickly reached his hand inside the neck of his shirt before revealing a small pendant. He looked to Blaise, his excitement clearly bleeding through his masks. He could give less of a damn about what the Slytherin sees now, he might have just found his sister.
"Blaise if you could invite Alisa up here, knock twice, wait a second then knock again," Harry rattled off.
Blaise nodded his head then quickly exited the room. He made his way into the common room looking for Alisa, who he found sitting next to her brother.
"Hey Alisa, could I talk to you about something, in private please," Blaise asked cautiously.
Alisa nodded her head before standing up and following Blaise. Her thoughts were running wild, trying to think of why Blaise would be talking to her but her face showed no outside emotion. Soon they arrived outside of a dorm room that was most certainly not Blaise's.
"Um Blaise, isn't this Harry's room," Alisa said hesitantly. She had never been to Harry's room before but she'd heard rumors about the protections that were placed on the room. Apparently Harry had spent hours in the library trying to figure out how to place high level wards around his room. Alisa had asked about them, but Draco didn't know if he did or not. However, she assumed that the rumors were true.
"Yes," Blaise said, looking unfazed. He knocked twice, waited a second and then knocked once more.
Within a few seconds the door opened to reveal Harry, his eyes once again devoid of any emotion.
"Come in," he said.
Alisa and Blaise walked in his room. They both noticed that Harry was fidgeting with the necklace.
"Harry, what's up?"
"Can you hold up your hand?" Harry asked carefully, knowing she might take this the wrong way.
She looked at Harry strangely but still complied. She cautiously held out her hand before Harry also read his hand out, his eyes on the locket that hung around his neck. He held his breath as he gently touched Alisa's hand.
Everyone looked on in awe as the locket around Harry's neck began to softly glow. Harry felt tears well up in his eyes, but he simply didn't care.
"What does it mean," Alisa asked in a soft whisper.
"It means that you are my twin sister," Harry said in an awed whisper.
He smiled at it before ripping the necklace off of his neck and throwing it on the ground. He picked up his shoe and smashed the pendant.
"Blaise, thank you for being here but if you would leave and not discuss this with anyone that would be best. Tell Draco I need to talk to him later today but it won't be possible until after dinner tonight." Harry said, a threat made clear through the undertones of his voice.
Blaise nodded and quickly exited the room, sensing the tension. Harry looked back towards Alisa, mentally preparing himself for the onslaught of emotions and questions that were about to come his way.
"What do you mean 'twin sister'," she asked.
"Did you ever find out who your birth parents were," Harry asked carefully.
When Alisa shook her head, Harry took it as his signal to continue.
"On the night my mother died, Voldemort tried to kill me and you. There was no scar on you like there was for me but that doesn't really matter. The point is that both of us survived. Our mother was killed as was our step-father."
"Wait, pause for a moment," Alisa interrupted. "What do you mean by step-father?"
"James Potter wasn't our father, Loki Odinson is,'' Harry said matter of factly.
Alisa looked at Harry with wide eyes, not understanding what she was being told. A literal god was her father, there could be no way.
"You're crazy," Alisa said in denial, not wanting to believe what she was being told.
"No, I'm not. You can meet our father later if you want to. He should be coming here later today so that he can meet you. There has been a glamor placed over you so that you couldn't be found."
Alisa nodded silently, wanting to just leave.
"Fine, I'll meet with him but I'll need proof that he is my father," Alisa said firmly.
Harry just smiled and nodded, the excitement at finding out that he found his sister overcoming him.
"Okay, I'll tell you whenever he's here."
Alisa nodded before she left the room, her mind reeling from the shocking revelation that the afternoon brought.
Loki was sitting around in his room whenever he heard a knock at the door. He stood up, walking to the door before opening it to see who was there. His heart immediately began to pick up speed as he saw a guard out of breath.
"Sir, I have an urgent message from Heimdell," the guard said.
Loki's eyes lit up, before he shut the door and ran out of the window on the other side of the room. He jumped off of the balcony, shifted into a black crow, then began flying as fast as he could towards the rainbow bridge.
Soon, he arrived at the bridge, out of breath, but hope shining in his eyes.
"Heimdall," Loki said in greeting.
"My Prince, I believe your son had found his sister," he said, his deep voice barely conveying the emotion he felt.
"Are they still at Hogwarts," Loki asked.
"Yes, they won't be leaving for a while, however I would suggest that you go tonight as made a promise to his sister that she would be able to see you tonight. Haraldr is very excited for you to meet Lia."
Loki smiled at Heimdall, the thought of finally being able to meet his lost daughter completely overshadowing anything else that he was thinking about previously that day.
"Can I head to Midgard now?" Loki asked, the hopefulness bleeding through his otherwise contained voice.
Heimdall smirked as he said "Yes, my Prince. I'll send you down now."
Loki smiled as he faced the opening to the Bifrost.
Here I come Lia, he thought.
Alisa Malfoy was currently sitting in the shadows of the large castle, resting her back against the large stone walls. The lake was across from her, reflecting the orange and red hues created by the setting sun. She sighed as her eyes drifted over the small peaks on the water. She had a book in her hands however she wasn't focused on it. Instead her thoughts were running wild with the information she had learned only a few hours ago. She didn't know how she felt about meeting her 'biological' father in just a few hours. She had never thought of the possibility that she would be related to her best friend, after all, who does. She had always known she was very strong magically but she didn't think that she was strong enough to the point where she was the child of a norse god.
Besides the shock she felt about who her father was she felt an immense amount of anger. Her adoptive parents had probably known who her father was. She knew that most purebloods had some sort of way to contact the gods, norse, greek, or roman. It was knowledge passed down by generation. The Malfoys could have contacted her father after Gringotts. She was also furious that the Malfoys kept this from her. She would have been able to know that she had a brother, a biological one, and a family who was still alive. She would have been able to begin training her abilities that went far beyond the curriculum of Hogwarts. The power she had was something that had the possibility to change the world and her so-called parents had kept it from her.
As Alisa was brooding in the shadows, she didn't notice when the darkness almost began to move, like waves in the ocean. She didn't notice the green swirls of magic coming off of her like mini fireworks or the lean man sitting across from the lake. The man watched on with a blank face, not betraying the slightest thought or feeling however on the inside he was bursting with joy.
She is starting to come into her powers, Loki thought.
As he watched his daughter a little more he noticed the movements of the shadows. He thought back onto what power of his could have given his children power over the shadows and darkness before he remembered something Lily had told him many, many years ago.
*Flashback*
"Hello Loki," Lily said, a small smile on her face.
"Hello, Lily," he replied, smirking slightly as he said so.
"I need to ask you a question," she said, her nerves bleeding into her words.
Loki looked at Lily, noticing how nervous she was before responding. "What do you need to ask, my flower?"
Lily took a deep breath to sturdy herself before she shot out,"What happens when your children have the DNA of two gods?"
Loki looked at her in shock, not expecting that question to come out her mouth. He thought for a moment before answering. "I don't really know. It depends. If two gods of a child, well, it's fine. The child will just be a god. Why do you ask this?"
"Because my father may or may not be a Greek god," she said, running her hand over her slightly swollen abdomen.
Loki looked at her in shock. His Lily, a demi-god. She did have incredible power levels for a first generation witch but it wasn't so incredible that Loki would have thought to check into something like that.
"Who," Loki asked cautiously, fearing the response.
"Hades," Lily replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
She had never told anyone about her father, it was too dangerous. She knew that she wasn't supposed to be alive, that she was a freak of nature, that her father had sworn off having children, so she didn't tell anyone.
Lily had met her father when she had graduated Hogwarts. Her father told her all about the Greek world. She had found out she had simply laughed, stating that she now knew the reason as to why she was so bad in Care of Magical Creatures. She had begun talking to her feather, and while they weren't incredibly close by normal standards, they were very close when compared to the other demigods and their parents.
Lily looked at Loki, her fast breathing showing just how nervous she was. Her brain was going wild, trying to think of all the different ways that Loki could possibly react to this situation.
She watched as the tall god took in a sharp intake of breath then began pacing, running his hands through his long black hair, lost in thought.
It was about two minutes later when Loki faced her, his mind finally being able to create coherent thoughts.
"I don't really know what will happen, my flower," he said, his voice showing his regret at the lack of knowledge. "As far as I know, something like this has never really happened before. And I don't mean just the fact that our children's DNA will be 75% immortal, but the fact that there will be pantheons mixed in their blood. I don't know if that has ever happened."
Lily had thought this might be the answer. As far as she could recall she hadn't heard about anything like this. She just hoped that her children would be fine.
"Will they be ok?" she asked, the worry clear in her voice. "Will the children be ok? That's all I care about. We can deal with their mortality or lack of and increased magic and strength later on but for now I need to know they won't be hurt by this."
"I believe they should be fine. They will simply be very strong and possibly immortal," he said, his tone betraying the small amount of hope he had that he wouldn't have to see his children die because of old age.
"Thank you," Lily sighed, before another thought took over. "What am I going to tell James?"
Loki sighed at the other man's name. When he had found out that Lily was engaged at the time, he had been crushed. He had been on earth for a few weeks, trying to escape Asgard for a little while, when he met Lily. She had intrigued him and slowly, he had begun to fall in love. He, regretfully, was going to leave Lily alone when he found out that she was engaged but when Lily had come running to him at the bar he frequented, he didn't hesitate.
He had found out that she wanted to call it all off, run away with him instead. Almost every inch of Loki wanted to say yes. He wanted to scoop up his flower and never let her be seen again by anyone on the planet. He wanted to show her the planets in far away galaxies. However, the logical part of him told him no. That if his father were to find out, that Lily would be in a huge amount of danger.
So he said no to running away but he did keep her company. They lived together for about two months before Loki said that he needed to return because of his duties. Lily knew he needed to and reluctantly said goodbye.
He regretted that every day but stood by his decision.
"I don't know, Lily. Does he know you are carrying the children?"
"Yes, yes knows they are yours too," she said, remembering the long conversation that had come from that.
"Does he know about your father?"
"No, he knows I don't like to talk about that," she said nervously.
"I don't think you need to tell him anything yet. Nothing should affect them visually until they reach their magical majority, or 17. Then there might be some changes. You will be able to help them with any of the power that they inherited from your side of the family," Loki rambled, trying to think through the situation logically.
"Loki, they are going to be fine, right," she asked one more time, needing to hear the words again.
"Yes, my flower," he whispered, putting all the confidence he had into the words. "Our children will be the first of their kind, but we will be with them every step of the way."
Lily smiled and moved closer to the man, wrapping her arms around him in a strong embrace.
"Loki, promise me one thing."
"Anything."
"Watch over Lia and Haradlr, please. They are going to change the very shape of the earth."
"Of course my flower."
*End of Flashback*
Alisa was still leaning against the side of the castle when she sensed someone coming towards her.
"You are moving the shadows," Harry said, a bit of awe in his voice.
Alisa let out a small giggle at the bluntness of her friend's, no brother's, statement. Normally, she wouldn't find something so simple funny in the slightest but she was too distressed to even think about controlling her emotions at the current moment.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't really know. The shadows were just weird. They were going kinda crazy. I don't really know how to describe it," Harry said.
Alisa humed, not really knowing what to say.
"When are we going to meet your father?" Alisa asked.
"Our father," Harry corrected. "And he will be here shortly. He said he will send a signal."
Alisa nodded as she watched as Harry came and sat next to her.
"Why do you not believe that Loki is your father," Harry asked.
Alisa noted that he asked the question in a way that made her feel it was alright not to believe, he just wanted to really know why.
"I guess because I've never really known who my parents are. I've gone so long with the idea that I would just never know who they are. the idea that I not only know at least one of my parents is alive, it's insane to me."
"I understand, at least to some extent," Harry said carefully.
"How, how can you understand? You are Harry Potter. Everyone knows who your parents are. You probably knew who your parents were since the day you could talk," Alisa said with a little more spite than she meant.
"That's not how I grew up," Harry said coolly. "I thought my parents were useless drunkards. I didn't know their names until this summer and I still haven't even seen a picture of them. I know I looked like my adoptive dad, but I don't any more, well whenever I lose the glamor I don't."
Alisa looked on at her best friend in shock. She understood the fragility of the situation. She knew that Harry had probably never shared this with anyone else on the planet besides his dad.
"I'm sorry," Alisa mumbled. "I didn't mean to be insensitive."
"You're fine. How could you have known?"
The two sat there in silence not needing to say anything more, just sitting in their own thoughts.
Harry was about to flip to the next page in his book before he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He quickly darted his eyes towards the forest where he saw a great movement of crows, each leaving a barely noticeable green trail of light in their wake. Harry felt his lips lift up into a barely noticeable smirk.
"Hey, Alisa," Harry said. "He's here."
Alisa nodded her head and began packing up her books. Once she had all of her books safely packed in her bag, the pair began making their way to the forest.
"Where are we headed?" Alisa asked.
"Somewhere in the forest."
'What is he like?"
"Kind. He really wants to meet you."
Alisa smiled at that. The two walked in silence for the rest of the walk before nearing a clearing.
"Haraldr," a familiar voice said.
Harry turned around to find his father standing behind him.
"Dad!"
Harry ran to Loki and tackled him in a hug, the Slytherin letting down any and all masks for a rare few moments.
"Hello," Loki murmured into Harry's hair.
Harry let go of his dad before turning to his sister.
"Alisa, this is our dad, Loki."
Alisa looked at her dad with blank eyes, studying everything about him. After a few moments, Alisa began to let a small smile creep over her face.
"Hi," she said meekly.
Loki smiled at his daughter, laughing slightly at the small greeting. "Hello, my Lia."
"Lia?" Alisa asked.
"Lia is your given name. Your mother used Alisa in other settings and it was the one most of the family called you, like how we call Haradlr Harry," he explained gently.
Alisa nodded her head slightly before tentatively moving forward her father before embracing him in a cautious hug. Loki stood there stunned for a moment before he gently wrapped his arms around his daughter.
"Lia," he breathed in awe. "I have so many things to tell you, and I need to check on your magical core the next time I see you. I can't do it now because it will probably be a process if the old hag did anything like he did on Harry."
Alisa nodded but looked very confused.
"What do you mean?"
"I promise, Lia, I will explain everything to you once we have proper time but I believe that will have to wait until the summer," Loki said, sadness bleeding through his voice.
"Dad, do you really have to leave so soon," Harry asked.
"I'm so sorry but yes. I left rather abruptly and I am sure my father and mother will want to know where I am. Also, I can only hide you two if they don't know I am even coming to Midgard."
Harry nodded in understanding but Alisa looked even more confused at the news.
"Why would you have to hide us from our grandparents?" Alisa asked.
A sad look came over Loki's face before he spoke again. "My father has never been …. loving, no accepting, of any of my children."
"What do you mean by children?!" Alisa screeched.
"I have four other children, Lia. Three boys and one girl. I am 1,000 years old," Loki pointed out.
Alisa nodded, still in shock, finding out that she had not just one but 5 more siblings.
"I must go, my children. I am so sorry that our time is as short as it is but if I stay much longer, questions that I don't want to answer will begin being asked."
Harry and Alisa both nodded towards their father before giving him one last hug,
"I will see you soon. Also, both of you, keep your brother company," Loki said with a little smirk.
The twins smiled up at Loki before he turned around, transforming into a crow as he did so, flying away to where he could be brought home by the Bifrost.
Harry looked at Alisa before smiling, both knowing that the day had unlocked something new.
The rest of the school year went relatively smoothly, if you count having to convince a teenage Dark Lord not to possess a girl because "if she dies Harry and I will probably be suspects." Long story short, with a little help from the twins' giant snake brother, they were able to convince good old Voldemort to return to the diary so they can bring him back properly.
Harry was genuinely sad at the prospect of having to leave his sister and brother. The year was one of the best ones that he has ever had. He successfully found his twin sister and grew closer with her brother and father. Harry had finally found something he never thought he would find, a family.
He approached Draco and Alisa, pushing his way through the large crowds.
"Hey," Harry said. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me to the Dursleys, Alisa?" Harry asked, only half joking.
"Not today, sorry. I need to talk to my parents about something very important" she said, her tone darkening with each word.
Harry nodded with understanding before looking at his best friend.
"So, Draco, how are you handling all of this," Harry said.
"As well as I can I guess," Draco replied honestly.
Harry nodded again before sighing. "I have to head off. Hopefully I can figure something out this summer so I won't be stuck at the Dursleys the entire summer. I'll see you two hopefully sometimes this summer," Harry said.
Alisa and Draco agreed and hugged their friend goodbye, before heading off in their separate directions. While nothing detrimental had happened to the school this year, they all knew their lives would never be the same.
