yet another chapter for my 'Wedding Peach' fanfiction written under the title of 'The Love Angel and the Dark-Hearted Devil'. chapter eight is here. yes, i know that the title sounds a lot like a direct parody of the fairytale of 'Beauty and the Beast' which it is, but just the title of this fanfiction and not the storyline of it. this eighth chapter of 'The Love Angel and the Dark-Hearted Devil' is a mere one-thousand-three words of nothing more than pure storyline. anything longer than that is nothing but head notes, like what's right here, and the obligatory disclaimer following this head note paragraph. yes, disclaimers are actually obligatory to the fanfictions written by any blogger on this website who wants to avoid copyright infringement. now, on to my disclaimer for this chapter of 'The Love Angel and the Dark-Hearted Devil'.
disclamation: I don't own the 'Wedding Peach' anime or manga series in any way, shape, or form. in fact, I don't even know who owns either one of the series, manga or anime. the only thing I know about that for sure is that it ain't me. I'm but a humble fanfiction blogger and an author of other types of stories on the Internet, specifically on sites such as WattPad.
The next time I had encountered Momoko by herself was perhaps 'the weirdest one of them yet'. But first, there was the time before then when I had encountered her and her friends from the newspaper club, Yuri and Hinagiku. All three of them were staring Captain Yanagiba with their dumbest grins ever, so far. Of course, I had to pop out in front of all three and basically block their view of the captain. It was purely for the sake of the soccer team, though, and not because I liked Momoko, at all.
Yours Truly: Hey! Why do you have those stupid-looking grins on your faces?
Momoko, Yuri and Hinagiku then all gasped at the sight of me. Momoko was the first one among them to speak.
Momoko Hanasaki: Oh, what do you want, Yousuke?
Then, Yuri grabbed onto Momoko if only to hold her back from trying to beat me up and spoke up about my interruption.
Yuri Tanima: Why did he have to show up right when we were in the middle of a perfectly good Yanagiba fantasy?
So, all three of them really liked, liked the captain, did they? Well, that must have certainly created some discord and a ton of in-fighting from within their friendship.
Yours Truly: Huh, did you ever stop to think that all that staring might be bothering him?
I knew that it would have bothered me if I were in Yanagiba's shoes with these three.
Then, I pointed towards Momoko if only to single that one cherry-blossom-pink-haired girl out of the captain's potential love life.
Yours Truly (continued): Especially your staring, Momo-pi?
It was still for the sake of the soccer team, though, and not because I liked her, myself. Which I did not.
Momoko Hanasaki: What?! Why you?
Then, I stuck my tongue out at Momoko if only to demonstrate just how unattractive I had found her before I ran off on the three of them, chuckling like a maniac.
The next time I saw Momoko alone without Yuri and Hinagiku, which I had earlier termed as 'the weirdest one of them yet', was ironically in the nurse's office. I was on my way in there after having gotten scratched up by something or other. I had even opened the door to Mrs. Ishino's office and called out for her.
Yours Truly: Nurse!
I had made my way inside of the nurse's office, but Mrs. Ishino was nowhere in sight. In fact, nobody was in Mrs. Ishino's office… or so I had thought.
Yours Truly (continued): Hey, that's weird. Nobody's here.
I reached up and grabbed onto the first aid kit from atop the shelf.
Yours Truly (continued): Better help myself, then.
I just placed a simple Band-Aid upon my elbow where my injury was and was quite proud of it, if I had to say so, myself.
Yours Truly (continued): There! That oughtta do the trick.
That was when I had finally turned around towards the other bed in the office and realized that I was not as alone as I originally thought I was. Much to my surprise and confusion, the person in the bed was none other than Momoko Hanasaki, herself. She was fast asleep in the nurse's office's bed. I did not get why or even how she could have been sleeping that peacefully on such a hard bed because she did not really strike me as the type to prefer a hard bed over a soft one, but then again, I had been wrong about her before. I decided to investigate her.
Yours Truly (continued): Momo-pi, what's wrong?
I felt at her forehead to see if she was warm in any way, whatsoever.
Yours Truly (continued): You got a fever or something? I wonder if Momo-pi needs help.
I had even tried to feel my own forehead along with hers and we both seemed to be the same kind of temperature, and I knew for a fact that I did not have a fever. Not long thereafter, I got back up into a vertical standing position.
Yours Truly (continued): I guess maybe I should go find somebody to look at her.
I began to walk away when I suddenly felt someone or something kick me in the knee from behind, and I began to fall right back down. Only weird thing about this kick was that it also seemed to shove my face back towards Momoko and had total control over the motion in my fall. I just continued falling onto Momoko's face until my lips had gone and collided with her own.
I just shot myself up thereafter and covered my mouth in complete and total embarrassment and even utter humiliation, I was blushing so hard. That was when Momoko's lips finally began to stir about shortly after having been touched by my own. Then, the cherry-blossom-pink-haired girl had begun to open her bright blue eyes following that. I could not believe that Momoko Hanasaki was waking up from just that simple resuscitation of mouth-to-mouth.
This was so not good. Momoko was probably going to accuse me of attacking her in her sleep when I had basically stolen what I just knew was more than likely her first kiss, without a doubt in my mind depending solely on just how naïve and new to love she really was. I was not even the kind of guy that did things like that. I just knew that she most likely would not believe a word I say even if I did try to explain it to her.
Yours Truly (continued): I-I… Sorry!
With just that random apology to her for stealing what might as well have been her first kiss, I just ran away from Momoko as fast as I could in complete and total shame of myself.
